Hold on, here we go again!

Hum,
Buzz,
Click click
Hum

Monitor blinks, glows
Processor thrums happily

Fingers fly across the keyboard
"Hi how are you?"
"I'm fine been waiting for you"
Smile spreads wide across my face

Her words appear slowly
Full of humor and warmth
A cyber smile, a virtual laugh
Silent yet I hear

Realizing it's time to go,
a somatic sensation warms me

"I hope to chat again soon"
"Till then good bye"

Click click
Buzz
Silence

I found this and thought of us!......

Well GG, probably FAR FAR TMI to discuss - there is a very very faint possibility but highly unlikely - about as likely as the withdrawal method producing a baby ifswim

mermaidspurse · 12/05/2009 15:46

scorpio yeah, that is fab, now hopefully you can relax a bit.xx

jools ffs!!!! what are we going to do with you? I am so glad that you and your dh are getting on well again though

gracie not much longer to go, keeping everything crossed for however you want the outcome to be.

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 16:34

Mermaid I do want him to pass, honest! Its what he wants do to.

Jools isn't the withdrawal method what all those catholic families with 12 children used to use?!

cupcakefairy · 12/05/2009 16:45

No, that's rhythm method GG...v unreliable and nothing like the modern methods of NFP
Seems like your body is playing tricks on you though jools which is just rubbish!

Scorpiostickybean so pleased for you

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 18:49

I thought they did the rhythm method and then the withdrawal method when ovulating.

Its gone 6:30pm and still no news, getting impatient now!!!!!

cupcakefairy · 12/05/2009 19:02

Oh ok, maybe you're right, dunno.
Any news on your dh yet?
I am off out in a few mins but couldn't resist another sneaky peak on MN...it really is a dangerous addiction!

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 19:07

Extremely dangerous addiction - fun though!!

Still no news!!!!!

bluesatinsash · 12/05/2009 19:27

Just a quickie from me as I am so floored with the mornng sickness I can barely function which is bloody hard when you have to entertain a two year old all day. At least at work I can hide behind my PC and quietly to myself.

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 19:34

Oops sorry! BlueMoon just seems to shorten to Blue so well!!! Must remember to call her Moon.

barbie1 · 12/05/2009 19:37

forgot to tell you about the snowboarding...had to strap both feet in and go up on the moving lift thingy....basically like a travelator...the board is meant to stick to it and drag you up the slope while standing on the board....however half way up my board starts to slip and i freakout tried to walk forward but of course my feet are stuck to the board, end up falling forward while bottom half stuck and still moving upward! so dragged up the slope on my side while im frantically trying to grab the ice and remove my feet from the board...so not cool!!!! got soaking wet and giggles from the rest of the group!

mermaid like the new name for me

neeko like your advice about not reading too many books! My midwife told me the same thing, but its too tempting to read anything and everything, especially on Google!

baby good luck for this month BD'ing - sending you lots of baby dust! Here neeko have some too!

cupcake any sign??? lol at your husbands dirty talk!

gracie how did your DH's exam go?

scorpio sorry i missed out that you were due for a scan as well today, but happy to hear all is well!

mm sorry to hear MS sickness has got you bad, but hopefully its a good sign! good luck for next friday if i dont speak to you before then... sorry to hear your in the same boat with MS too blue... vjay hope you managed to get some studying done!

Annie what drama with your car! How did DS's photo shoot go?

agree with all you ladies about MN being addictive! God knows how much attention i'll pay to the baby when im on maternity leave and can have full access!

barbie have fun skiing! sounds fun! your story made me laugh!

jools hope your body sorts itself out soon!

Well the scan was amazing! Thank you to all those who posted about it. Bubba seems so big and was making goldfish expressions with his/her mouth!...all is normal with the baby, thank goodness, and im convinced baby looks like me, my mum and dad agree (went to show them the pic after work) and they're quite honest folk, so they wouldnt be just saying it if they didnt think it! Only thing is i have a low lying placenta, so have to go back at 24 weeks to see if its moved, if it hasnt will have to have c-section, which im not really keen on, so hope things will have changed by then. Had midwife appointment after, so got to hear bubba heartbeat again which was great! Me and DH are hoping to go to Rome next month, as a last holiday before bubba comes along, if anyones been, any ideas of hotels and location to stay would be great!

ps we didnt want to find out the sex, so will have to wait till bubba is born!

Neeko · 12/05/2009 20:31

Congrats to Sabs and Scorpio on lovely scans and healthy babies. So pleased for you both.
Sabs Don't know how low your placenta is or how much they told you but my SIL had it before her DS3 was born in Feb. She had no problems at all through the pg but her consultant hospitalised her for the last month She had 2 pervious c-sections which posed greater risk and her placenta was completely covering the cervix. Her consultant said she shouldn't have been carrying anything heavy but she'd spent her pregnancy humpfing her DS2 who is 3 and my DD (she's our childminder) around! I'm sure everything is fine with you though but just for me take extra special care and make your DH carry the shopping.

Blue sorry you're feeling bad. Clearly you have a very stiky bean too. all the same I hope the sickness passes soon.

Gracie still no news?

barbie loving the snowboarding story Sounds like Gracie is willing to supply you with enough opks to get the whole of Dubai pg!

Cupcake Being my usual obsessed self :what happens to your temp if you don't ovulate in a cycle? Don't know how long this cycle will be and was planning to keep doing opks until I get a positive or my temp rises but that could be really expensive if it only rises if you def ovulate

MLS are you out there? You've been quiet since yesterday morning and that makes me worry about you. Are you manically symptom spotting on your own?
Hope everyone else is ok.

SabsBigPants · 12/05/2009 20:40

meant to say have to go back at 34 weeks, not in 4 weeks time!

Neeko · 12/05/2009 20:42

Can't be bad then if they are quite happy to leave you all that time. Think it's quite a common thing at your stage.

SabsBigPants · 12/05/2009 20:44

thanks for the advice neeko DH has been very good in making sure i dont carry anything heavy and folks at work have also been making sure i dont life anything heavy, especially as we having been delivering training recently so have had to carry and give out lots of handouts....but maybe i should stop picking up my 20 month old twin nieces so much, its just that they are so adorable i cant help it! but i do need to look after myself too...

Neeko · 12/05/2009 20:48

I wouldn't worry about lifting too much if they didn't mention it today. Just milk it when you feel you want to

MummyLovesSadie · 12/05/2009 20:55

Hello all

Barbie your snowboarding story made me laugh. I have heard that Saudi is great for skiing. Isn't the ski centre in one of the world largest shopping centres in the world? That is my idea of a good time.... shopping & skiing in the same place!

GG any news yet from dh?

Scorpio glad to hear about your scan, hope you feel better now.

Blue glad you are floored with morning sickness..... if you see what I mean!! Loving the word 'boak', my Scottish husband says it all the time & I thought he'd made it up!

MM glad you have the 'boaking' too, it can only be a good sign.

Cupcake waiting for af is sooooo frutrating, you just feel like you are hanging in limbo & can't move on until she arrives.

Jools the withdrawal method is famously unreliable so maybe your symptoms are not as imagined as you say they are. Funny you saying about having thrush as with both of my pregnancies I became very sore & stingy 'downstairs' even before I knew I was pregnant.

Neeko how very bloody frustrating for you not to have had a positive opk. You are lucky though that you have a dh that is willing & more than able to do the deed when needed! I'd highly recommend Pre-seed as it certainly gives a girl a helping hand when all she really wants to do is drink a cup of cocoa & have an early night with a book ! Good luck for your 5.30 wake up call! I had a temp rise this morning, so I'm officially on the 2ww.

Annie glad you got your car sorted without too much hassle. How was your ds's nursery pics, I bet you cried!

Mermaid so easy to miss a faint + opk. Unless you & dh are up for bd'ing every other day for two weeks its terribly difficult to get the timing right. With my dh I try & start a bit before I'm in my fertile phase to get him revved up but if I start too early he peaks before the optimum time!

Well I took dd to a new class today... an art class for toddlers!! She spent most of the time stomping her massive feet into the paint, covering her dungarees in it & putting glue in my hair while & patiently painted her cricket, made a snail out of modelling clay & glued bits of tissue paper onto her pipe-cleaner bug!

Hope you are all happy & well. Bye for now.

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 20:58

Evening!

Just heard from DH, he passed the exam. I just love Mumsnet cos I know I can get away with ranting about DH's good news to get it out of my system before speaking to anyone in real life about it. I hate to admit it but I was really looking forward to him being home for 3 months if he failed. I hate it that he's away all the time, I miss him. I can so see why 75% of the consultants where my DH works have been divorced at least once, living apart for the 6 years before becoming a consultant is just silly! I know it will get better once he's a consultant but thats 4 years away, which feels like 20 years at the minute!! And I haven't even started ranting about consultant jobs usually coming up at the other end of the country, so I'll be expected to leave all my friends and family. grump grump grump!!!

Right, deep breath Gracie, repeat after me "I'm very proud of my DH, isn't he clever". Ok almost ready for real life people now!

GracieGirl · 12/05/2009 21:03

MLS art class for toddlers sounds great fun! Can i come? How come your DD has massive feet?????

SabsBigPants · 12/05/2009 21:04

neeko have been milking it for a while now with DH, bless him, might as well carry on for as long as i can

hello to MLS! gracie good to hear DH passed but not good to hear you will be apart for so long but feel free to vent away here, we're here to listen!
