Jools - I remember you being so supportive of me in early pg and I am stalking you keeping my fingers crossed for you this month.

Sorry for the hijack!

Joolsiam · 09/07/2009 09:22

awww thankyou Pinkjenny Hijack away How are things going now ?

Pinkjenny · 09/07/2009 09:30

Nothing's ever simple, eh? I'm 15 weeks now, and bleeding from Sunday to Tuesday this week. Off to see the midwife this afternoon.

Will keep an eye on your progress!!

C1NDY · 09/07/2009 09:47

Yellow I know what you mean. I am 40, and point out to DH that if he wants a baby then he needs to get his finger out (erm!! no pan intended! . It is flipping exhausting, especially getting them to get the bding out of the way. I suppose that want the romance etc... but us being ladies we just want to tick off our to do list!! Yellow we will get there, I know we will. Every month takes a little bit more of us to get to where we want to be. I have taken the view to enjoy the journey and hopefully it will come to me . Have you tried to not bd too much? i.e. bd nearer to when you ovulate... wait till OPK stick turns pink and then bd like rabbits for three days consecutively or something? concentrating on the most important dates rather than what DP says, just for a month take a relax view? The FF gives a rating for intercourse... which I follow also, everytime I have conceived I am always in the good score. They give you a high score for the first three days of ovulation and they give you one extra mark for after ovulation. So my plan this month is to bd the three days that FF has flagged up and then to bd three days after ovulation... I don't know if this will work but this month I am going to give it a whirl.... sorry for typing to much but my fingers are on a roll this morning!!

Hi de hi Jools I am going to keep everything crossed for you!.. am hoping you will take the last spot!

Pinky sorry to hear you are bleeding, but if it helps my sister and a friend bleed right through their pg's and their children are fine. Look after yourself and your bean. Thinking of you.

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd check in and say hello. Thank you for missing me Iggy - I miss you all too! I have been so unbelievably tired lately that my usual MNing time when my DS naps after lunch has been given over to some serious snoozing for me as well! The only way I can cope is to split the day into 2 sections.

Haven't been too sick (just the one full on puke!) but every now and again a wave of nausea hits me and I get attacks of dry retches quite a lot - gross. Anyway, all worth it as I had a scan at 10+2 yesterday due to my constant paranoia and it revealed a 4cm little peanut that actually measured 11 weeks! I saw it have a little wriggle, rub it's forehead and settle back down to sleep again! I now have just another 2 weeks to go until the NHS dating/nuchal scan so poor DH won't have to fork out for anymore private scans because his wife is acting like a crazy woman.

I hope you are all ok and feelng positive x

C1NDY · 09/07/2009 14:33

Wasabi What wonderful news! it must seem real now. Your not crazy to have the scan it just relaxes you... I wish I had one done last time it would have saved a lot of heartache. I am so happy for you and we will all be joining you soon

Joolsiam · 11/07/2009 12:53

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday

I've been to the gym, and am off for a 6 mile walk this afternoon, then a birthday pub meal for a friend

Still feeling mild nausea on and off. Have creamy, lotiony cm that is not usual for this part of my cycle. Larger cleavage, slightly tender nipples ....

Gaaaaahhhh - only day 20 - how do I survive another 9 days of this !!!

C1NDY · 13/07/2009 09:28

Hi Jools, its my DH birthday today, his off playing golf and then he is going to a pub lunch too. I read your note and thought, goush do we know you? but no it is a coincidence I am sure but it freaked me out all the same.

Your descriptions sound very promising but as you said your on day 20 but sometimes you can get early signs.... the 9 days will go quickly. I start the bd feast this Saturday and have decided to bd if we can every day until three days after ovulation!!! so we are going to be knackered by the end of the week. But saying that, we will probably do a day and then miss a day. I have lost another 4lbs by the way.. .without even trying so am happy, getting to my goal. 6 mile walk, I would love to join you - you go girl

I am working from home today and have half day... am off out after lunch with DH and friends for his birthday to see my dd final ballet classes... it will be funny as she is built like a tonka toy!!! but is absolutely georgous I might add, like her mummy. So its going to be a fab day today... I say roll on Saturday so that I can start the process of getting another bunny rabbit!!

I am a lot more positive nowadays not sure if its Paul McKennon or the simple fact I am getting older. But life really is great right now (touch wood, it doesn't wear off!)

Take care and I will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Cindy

Joolsiam · 13/07/2009 09:34

Morning Cindy - yes, you do sound really positive hope some of it rubs off on me !

Very well done on the weight loss. I've lost another pound - seem to be averaging 1 lb per week now, which is good for me. People can see the difference and so can I

I'm building up a massive list of "symptoms" and then start doubting myself and becoming very pessimistic again. However, I'm currently feeling mildly nauseous, and breathless - apparently mild breathlessness is associated with increased progesterone in early pregnancy. I was also more revolted than normal by DP smoking in the house last night and keep wondering if things are starting to smell stronger I nearly tested this morning, but am sure it is far too early, so resisted

yellowflowers · 13/07/2009 10:39

Hello all,

greatnews wasabi

Sounds encouraging Jools.

Well my af really werid this month - started spotting on Wed and have basically been spotting or light bleeding ever since -only had blood on sanitary towel once in all that time. Has been mixture of watery and then some bright red and some brown and about half the time I go to loo and nothing there. Nipples are big, boobs hurt and everything smells (smelled banana from halfway down a train carriage yesterday). However temp is v low and chart was all over place this month - so much so I wonder if anovulatory. Did a test just in case but bfn. So upshot is not pregnant but body all over place. On plus side dh has delivered his sample to hospital so tests are well on their way.

Pinkyblue123 · 13/07/2009 15:23

Great news re scan Wasbai you must be so excited now.

All sounding promising Jools that 2ww is a killer!

Fingers crossed re your DH test Yellow

Glad to hear you are so positive Cindy i am sure it will be your turn again soon.

I am still sick as a dog and am sick pretty much all day, also really tired my usually spick and span house is decending into chaos!I am taking solice in the knowledge that this is all a good sign I am 7 weeks plus 3 days today, that 12 week mark feels a long way off.

C1NDY · 14/07/2009 12:47

Hi everyone.

Yellow hope you hear something soon

A little note of concern, don't want to cause a panic just wanted to know views etc... As we are all trying to get pg has anyone thought of the impact Swine Flu may have if we do get pg... I am worried as the flu is getting high in numbers. Am I panicking for no reason? Should I try again once the August bug is out of the way???

OP posts:
C1NDY · 14/07/2009 12:47

May be a silly question but just wanted to know your views.

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 14/07/2009 13:36

regarding previous post re light period - well it wasn't light yesterday afternoon. Suddenly all came at once and left me writhing in agony for a couple of hours!

I have thought about swine flu cindy - have decided to ignore it though. Am sure pregnant women will be first in queue for vaccination.
xx

Pinkyblue123 · 14/07/2009 13:46

Cindy you are not the only one concerned with Swine flu . It is at my DS school and so I have decided to keep him off as I am really worried about him getting it and also really concerned about what it could do to my bean. The school say I am overreacting but I don't want to take the risk. He is only in reception and so they spend most of the day playing anyway so it is not like he is missing much. Also, his best friend was told she had it yesterday so it is a bit too close for comfort.

C1NDY · 14/07/2009 14:06

Yellow and Pinky Glad I am not the only one concerned.

Pinky you are doing the right thing keeping your son at home, I would do the same. Don't worry too much as Yellow says if you have any symptons you will be the first in the queue to get a vaccination!!

I work in London and the cases are going up by the day. I am more worried for my DD as she will be three in a couple of weeks and I just want her to be safe.

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 14/07/2009 17:14

I must admit, I worry about catching swine flu in early pregnancy because high temperatures are not good

It won't stop me TTC, but might mean I end up working from home a LOT !

Feeling very bleurghhh this afternoon - waves of nausea / seasickness again

C1NDY · 14/07/2009 20:12

Jools I think your right ... as soon as i have that bfp i will be working from home more. Your waves of nausea sounds promising... I have everything crossed for you. When are you going to test

OP posts:
C1NDY · 14/07/2009 20:13

Jools is it okay to high temperatures after the 12 week? another point are you allowed to take paracetmol?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 14/07/2009 20:48

Cindy - yes, paracetamol is OK when PG. All I know on temperature is you shouldn't let it get too high when exercising as beans can't regulate their own body temperature. I guess they are less fragile once you get beyond the first trimester, but don't really know the level of risk

Testing tomorrow (eek - scared !)

This is as early as a First Response might give a result, basically because I'll be in the recurrent mc clinic for more blood tests in the morning and will be able to tell them if it is positive, as they've told me to let them know as soon as I even suspect I'm pg ..

Terrified of being let down by a BFN, terrified of a BFP post mc - emotional rollercoaster and another 9 weeks minimum of extreme worry ...

C1NDY · 15/07/2009 08:44

Jools We will be here for you all the way through out your pg and will support you. It is hard not to worry but one thing I have learned that its no point worrying about the unknown ... just live your life and whatever comes it comes... think positive otherwise negetivity will cloud your judgement. I am really routing for you and hope you get that bfp soon.

Big hugs
Cindy

Yellow you AF sounds a little like mine. I have a heavy two days and then nothing for the 3 days... but am happy that the cycle is now 29 days instead of 33 days. Although my FF monitor gives me more ovulation days, so am hoping this will settle down. I start the bdfest on Sunday all through out next week.

If I forget, I am on hols next week from Thurs till Tuesday.

It really is quite in here all the time lately... should we all join another group?

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 15/07/2009 09:28

hi - I wondered about another group cindy - but I love this one. Shall I start a little thread advertising for new members?

jools - can only imagine what the rollercoaster is like for you honey.

Slight problem here - we are going on holiday bang in middle of my fertile patch for four days with another couple and we'll be sharing a (big) tent (that has 'rooms' but only separated by cloth) so that's 4 days when I need to have sex that we can't (don't think there will be opportunities to slip away for al fresco either!). Maybe this month a write off before it's begun?
