Hi All,

Hope you like our new home!

Iggy I am fine, apart from AF being heavy the last couple of days, especially on the Friday, so boss sent me home. I just want my system to go back to normal.

Dalramps I agree with you if you chill out then you are more relaxed.

I am getting nervous as I will be back in the bding stage again this Friday!! and here I go again.. pee on stick.. check for smiling face... bd DH and then the next day the same routine - sometimes feels like that film Groundhog.. or something.

Well DH has been warned, and we are gearing up for bd this Friday or Saturday. I am glad I am temping as it means that I can pinpoint ovulation. I am nervous to start again but I suppose its like a rollercoaster when your on its a lot of fun eh?

Jools fingers cross for you on this 2WW!

I wish you all happy bding or success in your 2WW. I can feel we are all going to hit the spot this month!! baby dust all around ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi Ladies, hope you are all well. I am in 2WW hell. AF due on Friday and I don't know how I feel about it all. I have been quite tired and really emotional but that could just be PMT.

TTC is really getting me down, had a chat with DH about it again last night and we both feel really fed up with it, we are having a break next month as he will be away during fertile time so I will not bother temping or anything. I think it will do me good to have a break from it all.

iggypiggy · 16/06/2009 16:25

pinky I know what you mean about 2ww hell - I still waiting for AF! Am CD 32 and before MC never had a cycle this long - but guessing body still all over the place

I have my fingers crossed for you tho - will you test on Fri if no AF?

Also a break from TTC is also good - sometimes nice not to have the pressure. xx

Pinkyblue123 · 16/06/2009 16:38

Thanks Iggy it is awful following MC when all you want to do is get PG again and your body takes a while to get back to normal, but it does eventually.

I am finding this 2ww particularly hard for some reason, I guess it is as we have been ttc for 10 months now and I am just sick of all the waiting around and timing the BDing etc.

I will test Friday if AF does not show up as it normally arrives like clockwork so I will know that something is afoot if it does not show up first thing Friday AM.

Joolsiam · 16/06/2009 20:58

I can empathise with that Come next month, I'll have been TTC a year - result of that is 3 MC's and 21.5 weeks of pregnancy in total

C1NDY · 17/06/2009 08:52

Ladies, I can understand the frastaration.. I am yet to start again on Friday and I am nervous as hell to begin again. The only thing that keeps me going is trying to be positive....

Pinky it may be your month, so hang in there. Take a month off and relax. Have you been to the doctors as 10 months is normally the time they will check things out??

Iggy My cycle went to 32 this month.. I am normally a 28 - 30.... but am hoping it will adjust. Its annoying as I could always predict the life of my cycle... when AF will arrive, what day I will ovulate... but now I just have no idea but to go with what FF tells me!! I love being in control so, temping I am hoping will help me along this month.

Pinkyblue123 · 17/06/2009 09:45

Cindy I have been to doctors and had some tests and they said that they cannot see anything wrong with me, I was told that I just need to keep trying and that in the great scheme of things I have not been trying that long. I know that I am able to have children as I have 2 little ones ages 5 and 3 so I am hoping it is just because I am getting older and so things are taking longer. It does not make the waiting any easier though.

Oh well who knows I may get some good news on Friday, I am too scared to get my hopes up though as it is so depressing when AF arrives.

C1NDY · 17/06/2009 11:14

Pinky I am 40, how old are you? Have you tried bding early... on CD8 like DP suggests? I found bding early helped me get my BFP... but saying that I did bd quite late also... okay, have you tried temping? I am trying it this month. How about not bding at all but only bding when your OPK sticks or temp rise indicates you are ovulating... that way it may take the pressure off you this month, rather than not doing anything at all? I hope this makes sense... I have everything crossed for you that you get that bfp this month.

Pinkyblue123 · 17/06/2009 12:38

Cindy I am 36. I have been temping for the last three months in conjunction with OPK's so am pretty definate when I am ovulating. We usually start BDing around day 8 or 9 and tend to get as much in as we can until Ovulation day. We are having a month off as DH is away during my fertile window. Does not mean we will not BD for fun though I know that eventually it will happen for us especially with temping and OPK, it is just dragging on.

C1NDY · 18/06/2009 09:13

Pinky I know what you are going through, stay positive and it will happen... it certainly will

Okay Question time: How do I know I am ovulating using temping... is it when my temp is at its highest on the graph? So when I ovulate I then have say 24 to bd??

OP posts:
Pinkyblue123 · 18/06/2009 09:31

Cindy you can see that you have ovulated when your temp rises, you will have ovulated the day before your temp goes up, so the trick is to make sure you BD in the days leading up to the temp rise.

Well AF due tomorrow and for the first time since I have been temping (this is my 3rd cycle) my temp has gone up today rather than dropped as it usually does on this day of my cycle, I cannot help but feel a little bit excited. Well I guess i will find out tomorrow morning. I am feeling in a really good mood today as well (for the last few days have felt a bit weepy) Also evey night this week I have been dropping of to sleep on the sofa, as I have felt so knackered. I am scared to let myself get too excited as I will feel disappointed if AF arrives.

wasabipeanut · 18/06/2009 09:40

Hi girls,

Thought I'd check in and say hello! I had a scan yesterday and my little peanut is measuting 1.5cm which is apparently 7+6 ( should have been 7+2 by my dates so was happy with that!). He or she had a heart rate of 164bpm so its all looking good at the moment.

I don't want to get complacent and will probably go back to freaking out every few days soon but just for now I feel reassured!

C1ndy temping can only really tell you when you have ovulated as opposed to when you are about to if that makes sense? The corpus luteum (which is the collapsed follicle that your egg leaves behind I think) produces the progesterone that causes the rise in temperature so you will usually pick up a rise of 0.2 to 0.5 of a degree the day after you ovulate.

Some women (and I was one of them) get a rather handy temo dip right before they ovulate but it isn't universal. If you see a sharp dip then get to it pronto

Iggy Sorry to hear that this isn't your month honey. My first cycle after the mc was about 32, 33 days I think and I was a 28 day girl before so it does take time to sort itself out sadly. Try to stay positive but if you feel the need to sob into a glass a wine then go with it x

Best of luck to all of you in the 2WW. I do know what an utter hell it is. Apologies for the lack of personals but I have to get a grip despite utter exhaustion (and its only half nine) in order to sort washing, get the ingredients for a birthday cake for my dad for DS and me to make this afternoon and make a birthday and fathers day card. Probably doesn't sound too challenging but at the moment its all I can do to get off the sofa.

yellowflowers · 18/06/2009 09:41

Hello,

Back from a lovely week nights in Spain - all brown and rested. 13dpo today so in middle of BD fest. Temp0 up and down but maybe because I've been drinking most nights (holiday spirit!)

Just read past messages - hope I miss no one:

  • welcome dalyrymps and teenycalls - great to have some new people as we've got a bit quiet of late.

cindy - good af here - now you're gearing up to BDing I guess?

Ray - that sounds so shit. Sorry to hear that. But you know you can get pregnant and it is good they know reason for mc now so they can focus on stopping that happen again right? Thinking of you.

pinky - everything crossed for you...

Big wave to iggy and jools and anyone else I have missed.

Also a pre-seed question - when I don't use it I easily spot ewcm. The last two months I have used it and no ewcm - I think it all gets lost in the post sex sperm fallout and pre-seed leakage - anyone else noticed this?

iggypiggy · 18/06/2009 09:55

wasabi excellent news about your scan! You must be so pleased! When is your next scan? A month?

My AF arrived today so that's sort of good cos was getting cross about it not turning up. And at least I get to drink a bit on holiday!

yellow welcome back! Glad you have nice break and good luck with the BD fest

pinky I hope this is your month x

waves to everyone else!

yellowflowers · 18/06/2009 11:02

Hi wasabi - sorry missed your message when posting mine. That is such excellent news!

good about af iggy

xx

Pinkyblue123 · 18/06/2009 14:45

Fab news Wasbai sorry you are feeling knackered, but it is all in a good cause!

Good news re AF Iggy, I bet you felt it would never arrive.

Glad you had a lovely holiday Yellow

Hi to everyone else.

Well I bought a pick of two PG tests today, and am thinking I might do a test later today (it is only one day early) or should i just wait until the morning? They are just boots own ones so not super sensitive or anything

Joolsiam · 18/06/2009 14:54

Pinkyblue - I am NOT a fan of the Boots tests at all.

I test last year the day before AF was due and got such a faint line on the cross that I was dismantling it and holding it up to the light to try and see if there was colour in the line.

I then broke our a Clearblue Digi which came up straight away - so if you do cave in today and the Boots test is inconclusive, all is not lost

Pinkyblue123 · 18/06/2009 15:03

Thanks for the advice Jools I am going to wait until I have done the school run and then test....I cannot wait until tomorrow

Joolsiam · 18/06/2009 15:15

Fingers crossed !! Please come back and tell us how you get on

Pinkyblue123 · 18/06/2009 15:52

Well ladies just tested and you are the first to know I got a BFP!!!!!!!!!!! Yippeeee there is a really strong positive line....I cannot believe it.(grin)

My DH will not believe it as I am sure he had given up!!! So that explains the high temp this AM and me feeling so knackered this week.

I just hope that this one sticks

Joolsiam · 18/06/2009 15:59
