Oh Ray i am so sorry for your loss. And how thoughtless of yur friend. I can only imagine how that must have made you feel. [big hugs]

Yellow sorry AF got you.

Hi dalrymps

Well dbf and i are putting ttc on hold as we now plan to marry next year. Do you mind if i stay around? I would love to hear how you are all doing....

iggypiggy · 11/06/2009 10:32

kitty that's exactly what we did - we ttc fro 3 months - then got engaged and waited until after the wedding to ttc again.

Welcome Dalrymps

Ray so glad you came back. Sounds like you had a rubbish time. Hope this is a lucky thread for you tho.

Pinky think the early part of the 2ww is awful as can't really notice symptoms, but keep thinking you do... Hopefully this is you month tho!

I have no news. Am planning to test on Sat if no AF, but no idea how long this cycle will be - so who knows!

kittycatcat · 11/06/2009 10:40

Oh spooky Iggy

C1NDY · 11/06/2009 10:58

KittyCat of course you can stick around. The more the merrier!! well congratulations on the marriage front!

Pinky My AF is sluggish but I went sorry TMI ALERT, I went to the toilet and a pound size clot came out... it was very tough etc... could this be the lining still coming away from the MC. I noticed you said you did not have a DC, so may be this could be something you could relate to? Do you think I should go to the doctors to get a scan to ensure everything is clear?

OP posts:
C1NDY · 11/06/2009 10:59

This is my second AF after MC by the way.

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 11/06/2009 11:05

C1ndy have you done a PG test to check is negative? Everything should be clear if you get a negative test? I did one after my MC and so I knew all tissue had gone.

Pinkyblue123 · 11/06/2009 11:34

Congratulations Kitty Cindy yes now you come to mention it I remember a small funny liver like clot thing 3 or 4 months past MC and then nothing since I thight at the time it was either a reminent from MC or a VV early MC if that makes sense

Any more symptoms Iggy?

Joolsiam · 11/06/2009 11:37

Cindy - that does sound like some of the lining. I didn't have that, but I did have stringy stuff come out during the first AF. I would think that, if this is a one-off, it is fine.

C1NDY · 11/06/2009 12:48

Okay, thanks guys! I mean girlies... lets hope there is nothing else.

Iggy the hospital made me do a pg test with them and it was negative... but I think you still get tissue etc coming out... but it should go away, may be in the next cycle... it is because I was 12 weeks.

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 11/06/2009 14:29

Guess you right c1ndy must be as you were 12 weeks. Hopefully that will be the last of it.

pinky no more symptoms... no AF symptoms either... will test on Sat tho...

Joolsiam · 11/06/2009 14:48

With my MC at 11+5, I had such a faint positive 3 weeks afterwards that I decided to call it a negative. However, 3.5 weeks after that, I tested and got a very faint positive that got me all excited, even though it didn't feel right. This was just after an anovulatory cycle that I'd been hoping was an implantation bleed.

My first proper AF at the end of Jan (10 weeks post MC) had small stringy bits as I described earlier, so I'm convinced now that :

1 - I had an anovulatory cycle first because I couldn't ovulate with HCG still in my system but it was 35 days since the MC started, so breakthrough bleeding

2 - That first AF cleared out the final bits of the MC

Dalrymps · 11/06/2009 20:41

Hi ladies, sorry about my weird name change earlier, I was gonna post a thread in a different name but decided against it then forgot i'd changed

Managed BD last night, CD 14 today. Last month I used opk's and ov'd around day 16/17. We did the Deanna plan last month but just going with the flow this month. We've been trying to make sure we BD every other day most of the time over the last 6 months but we're a bit tired of that now so just relaxing a bit this month.

C1NDY · 12/06/2009 11:13

Thanks everyone... Happy to report that AF is in full flow... sorry if that is TMI, but I love to share Had to leave work and am working from home as AF became very heavy and told my Man Boss I needed to go... because I was heavily bleeding... of course, a man doesn't understand... so he was happy for me to go but didn't want me to work. He wants me to rest. I said to him... look I am bleeding but am okay... hummm, it must be hard for men to get there head around that one So I am at home, working but am taking it easy. No doubt DH will ring and ask me to clean up the house whilst I am at home!!! I like the men that don't understand how a women can bleed and still be fine!!!

Hi all, was browsing around for a new thread to join and picked up on your Paul McKenna comments. I haven't used his book/CD but I did go for a series of 4 sessions with a local hypnotist and it has worked. I have dropped 2st in 5 months and am not even trying/dieting! Cannot recommend it enough - it has cured my food issues for life.

C1NDY · 12/06/2009 18:54

Teenycalls I have started a thread on .... this link www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/769905-Paul-McKenna-weightloss-system ?rnd=1244537255202

I agree with you. I haven't even weighed myself yet... and I am converted!!

Where is everyone today??

Hi guys, well i got a letter yesterday from the consultnat and it seems i have Factor V Leiden, which is a blood clotting disorder (clots too much) and posible Protein S problem which is also a Blood clotting disorder wlthough they will retest for that one.
Now this explains the Mc and is good because hopefully i will get treatment now but by all acounts will prob have to take aspirin my whole life and have injections when pg and the risk in later pregnancy of having complications is very high risking both my life and the babies life. Most women that have it are advised NOT to have children because of this. Not sure how to feel to be honest should i feel happy as there is something wrong and therefore not in limbo land anymore or upset as i have a chronic disease and will be worrying about blood clots all my life. And also when i get pg again although i will have the treatment my whole pg will be fraught with worry (highrisk) and i wont be able to enjoy it.

Also found out my sis is pg again she has a 4 month old baby and her relationship with her partner is shit and although this doesnt mean she doesnt deserve to be pg but i dont understand why when me and dh are in a happy stable secure relationship we just cant have what others seem to be able to achieve easily.

sorry rant over. glad everyone else seems to be ok ish

C1NDY · 14/06/2009 19:33

Ray Sorry to hear your news. You can start a thread to see if anyone else has the same issue, as it may help what they have to say. Also, you may find someone who has got pg and everything was okay. I have heard about some women taking aspirin when they are pg to make their blood thin. I am sorry I can't be of much help here but lets hope that someone can help you at this difficult time.

Ray life is difficult sometimes. I don't understand why some people have babies but thats just LIFE. I have one DD and I am trying for a second (it will be my last!) but I am finding it hard! but some people say that I should be grateful I have one, but I really would like another one. I see people with four kids which were never planned and I wonder, why doesn't that happen to me. I am doing something called 'The Secret' and have a day diary with wonderful things to think about... it keeps me strong and positive and makes you reaccess your life. I am starting to be more positive and grateful for the wonderful things that surround my day. If you need another focus, perhaps give it a read. Big hugs to you... and I am sorry that I can't answer your question.

Morning Ladies Ray life can seem so unfair at times. Don't give up hope, I know a lady that had the blood clotting thing (not sure if it is the same as what you have but sounded similar) She had several MC until they found out what was causing it. She now has a beautiful little girl, during her pregnancy she had to inject herself with warfrin to thin her blood but apart from that she had a normal pregnancy.

Well 10DPO for me so I have entered the manic phase of wondering am I arent I? My way of dealing with it this month is trying to keep myself very busy, which is not too diffiuclt at the moment as I seem to have lots of things going on. My temp was really high today, much higher than in the previous cycles since i began charting, but this might be as it was really hot last night.

How is everyone else today? Did you test on Sat Iggy? How is 2WW Jools?

C1NDY · 15/06/2009 09:37

Pinky I have just started temping. This morning I nearly forgot... I got up and half leg on the floor and half body in bed, I reached for my temperature thing and took my temperature... will the reading still be okay?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 15/06/2009 11:22

Morning everyone

Ray - all I know is that there are loads of experts that will answer you in the MC forum and I am certain you will come across a lot of positive stories, so hang in there I'm waiting for similar test results myself - should know in around 6 weeks

Pinky - a pretty fruitless 2WW here as we suffered pretty much total BD failure again. I really need to persuade DP to try that herbal viagra, but he is dead set against taking pills I think we sort of managed it once at the crucial time, but I'm not sure if he completed the job

If I was symptom spotting, I'd find symptoms (insomnia, creamy cm) but I think I'd be clutching at straws Just focussing on weight loss. Sad thing is, I had a chance to have 2 nights at a Champneys spa for half price and would have loved to go, but turned it down because it will be my next fertile weekend and I don't want to waste it

Pinkyblue123 · 15/06/2009 11:25

I doubt that would make a difference Cindy

Pinkyblue123 · 15/06/2009 13:36

Sorry to hear that Jools but you never know. My DH has started saying he does not want to keep TTC for a while as he is under a lot of pressure at work and does not want loads of pressure from me at home as well! I do feel that TTC has had a negative effect on our sex life, and find it all very stressful sometimes

iggypiggy · 15/06/2009 15:25

hello all! I did test on sat and got a BFN but also still no AF for me... can't even feel it coming.. so am guessing that cycle still odd after MC...

pinky sorry to hear that about your DH not wanting to TTC for a while. Can you still have non ttc sex and maybe soemthing might happen anyway?

ray sorry you having a rubbish time - can see what you mean about being pleased you know there is an issue but at the same time - having all of the worry of blood clots - echo what they others said about posting about it - there might be other MNers that have had similar experiences?

C1ndy hope you ok?

jools can understand turing something down because of TTC - am stressing that DH won't make it away on holiday with me - which could be our ideal time - but I guess that partly depends on when AF shows up!

Hi everyone else! This thread been so quiet recently!

Dalrymps · 15/06/2009 22:55

Hey ladies

Ray, sorry to hear your news. I suppose the one thing to cling to is that you now know why and there is more chance of you falling pg once treated. Fingers crossed for you.

Iggy - Sorry about the BFN, strange still no AF. Hope your cycles settle down soon.

Jools - Turning down that oppertunity is the kind of thing I would do. I concentrate too much on the 'what if's'. Hope you get that bfp soon.

c1ndy - Sure the temp will be reliable

Pinky - Hope you manage to keep busy, the waiting is hell!

teeny - Wow, I would love to drop 2 stone

Well, we are trying the relaxed approach this month. Still can't help but keep checking what CD I am on though. Have only BD a couple of times so far but was around the fertile time so you never know...

I'm on CD 18 today, from the temping I did one month and the opk I did another month I found out that I usually ov around CD 17 so might have ov'd alreadt this month. Might be wort another try tonight though . I'll see how I feel, trying to only do it if we really fancy and not be ruled too much by ttc. I have to say although I panick occasionally that we're not doing it enough or might not have done it on the right days I do enjoy the sense of freedom and the BD has been more fun without the pressure

Joolsiam · 16/06/2009 10:28

Ray - when I had a recurrent mc appt a couple of weeks ago, the lovely midwife at the EPU (it is all the same place) said that as soon as I even suspect I am PG, even if it is too early to do a test, I should call them and they will be blood tests etc and work out a treatment plan.

I do hope that you have been offered the same - if not, I would check out the procedure now, as getting treatment in the first few days just might make all the difference ...
