Pinky - am not worried about weight and getting PG - have managed that 3 times in ten months between MC's - it is just keeping a sticky bean that worries me and I wonder if losing weight will help.

Off for my first recurrent mc appt this morning, so will see what they say. Back later to catch up with everyone

C1NDY · 03/06/2009 10:22

Hi All, was on a course yesterday so was not able to log on.

Jools your weight is better than mine - I wish I only had 2 and half to lose! However, I am still going to ttc and just be sensible. I do agree with you that I wonder if being overweight is making me MC but the doctor said that this was not a factor. Think of it this way... that lady that carried 8 babies she was huge but still carried the babies to full term! Did you see the size of her belly?? My sister has booked Paul McKennor for me this weekend.. I am off to Wembley to try his veiw on how to lose weight. So I am hoping that it will teach me good habits will let you know how I get on.

Waiting for AF to show Friday or Sunday at the latest and then I can get the show on the road, so to speak.

good luck jools.

My temp has risen (in tiny increments) for last five days - don't know whether this makes it triphasic though. Period due soon.

Was meant to have 21 day test for my consultant this cycle but had on 4dpo I think instead as went for date he told me to even though I knew it was wrong. Is 4dpo too soon? In which case I should ask for another form so I can get it done again next cycle (next appt is in Aug so could do the June or July cycle).

Also does anyone know is day 3 test needs to come from same month as day 21 test? If so then I need to get day 3 done again too.

Pinkyblue123 · 03/06/2009 11:24

Good Luck Jools I hope that it all goes well for you today, it is great that they are looking into things for you.

Yellow I think that 21 day test would have been way too early. The doctor I saw told me that to get an accuarate result they should test you ideally 7 to 5 days before your AF is due, otherwise they will catch you when your Progesterone levels are rising or falling and so it will not be a good indicator. It caused me a lot of unnecessary worry when I had my test done too early, so bear that in mind if your result comes back on the low side.

I am not sure re 3 day test, I would ask the doctor.

Cindy wow let us know how you get on with Paul, I have heard amazing things about him.

Iggy I agree that it is getting quiet around here, it must be a lucky thread...hopefully we will all be on a new thread soon called " We made it at last !!!"

I managed to waste two of my v expensive digital OPK's this morning by forgetting to put the flaming things in the monitor before peeing on them arrrgggah!!!! I was half asleep and managed to leave my brain in bed this morning!! In the thick of BD action this week - wish me luck!!!

Hello to everyone else.

yellowflowers · 03/06/2009 11:27

Thanks pinky - I think I will get new tests dne

C1NDY · 03/06/2009 13:48

Pinky I will let you know how I get on. Good luck with the bding this week, goush I have just started to imagine the stress of it all. It always so mechanical and to pin DH down can be a pain... oh the wonders of it all. When my bean finally sticks and grows up to be 16 I will let him/her know what I have been through!!

OP posts:
wasabipeanut · 03/06/2009 14:09

Hi ladies,

Sorry I have been a bit quiet of late. I have been having some real wobbles and worries over this pregnancy and didn't want to vent on you all.

I am feeling more positive today due to an increase in symptoms. I am waiting on a blood test to check my HCG level and if it is about right they will do another one to check it is going up. This is about the point in my last pg that the bean stopped growing so I have been a bit of a state. My GP said that in our area you can't get a scan unless there is bleeding so suggested the blood test instead which was nice - well, as nice as having a needle stuck in your arm can be.

Yellow - when did your temp go up? If, at between 9 and 11 days PO it shifted up from the level it had been at since ovulation then that is triphasic. Whilst a triphasic chart isn't a guarantee it certanly is a very positive sign. My chart on BFP month was classic triphasic.

Jools How did your mc appt go?

Cindy Paul McK sounds most exciting! Will be interested to hear your thoughts on that one.

I sympathise re the sex becoming rather functional. I wouldn't tell my DH when my peak times were but it would be pretty damn obvious and it does become rather routine. Not much to be done about it unfortunatly. The only way I managed to try and not make it become completely about babies was to make sure we got a good few sessions in at non fertile times as well!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

iggypiggy · 03/06/2009 14:20

hi wasabi can imagine must be v. worrying for you - I expect if it was me I would be 100% the same... especially around the 6-7 week mark. The increase in symptoms is great news! Hope blood test result goes well.

C1ndy one of my friends swears by paul mckenna - so should be interesting

Pinky - good luck!

yellow fingers crossed for you for this month!

Jools hope appt was ok xx

yellowflowers · 03/06/2009 15:32

Here is this month's chart so far - what do you think, triphasic or not? I am sure just by posting it period will start and I will be back to square one again...

chart

yellowflowers · 03/06/2009 15:32

thinking of you wasabi xx

Pinkyblue123 · 03/06/2009 15:49

Thinking of you wasabi I can imagine how worrying it is for you, remember just because it happened before it really does not mean it is going to again. Sending you big hugs

wasabipeanut · 03/06/2009 15:51

Hi Yellow - just looked at your chart and compared it with mine on my BFP month. There are very strong similarities - yours is def triphasic in that you have recorded higher temps from 9 days PO than were seen in the earlier post ov days.

I don't want to get hopes up but given the frequency of triphasic charts in BFP charts I'd say this looked quite positive. I think FF say that triphasic charts are 176% more likely in pregnanct charts than non pregnant ones.

How do these temps compare with previous months? I only temped for 2 months but last months all my post ov temps were higher than in previous month.

wasabipeanut · 03/06/2009 15:52

And thanks for the hugs guys.

Means a lot to me

yellowflowers · 03/06/2009 15:56

Hi wasabi - I hope so but I feel a bit periody so also wouldn't be surprised if it started soon. Today - the highest chart been this cycle - is higher than my charts usually are at this point, but previous charts are usually more up and down and also this month the post ovulation early temperatures were lower than normal and over last few days temps have been average - neither the highest or the lowest - but because they have been steadily climbing they are now higher than the other months are at this point. Hope that all makes sense.

wasabipeanut · 03/06/2009 16:07

It does make sense Yellow. Do you normally get a gentle decline in temps a few days before AF or a big crash the day before or day itself?

yellowflowers · 03/06/2009 16:18

I usually get a medium size crash often after spotting has started but before period has started.

wasabipeanut · 03/06/2009 16:49

Oooh well not long to go to find out!

I have my fingers crossed for you

C1NDY · 04/06/2009 08:53

Yellow your chart looks promising accordingly to something I read that you should be increasing in temp for a BFP, so this looks very promising. Not long till we all find out... I have everything crossed for you.

Well I started spotted this morning which is good as it means AF is arriving. I cried all the way to work (walk from Waterloo to Blackfriars)... not sure why really... glad that I am back to my cycle, may be and just sad that ... here I go again... don't get me wrong I am ready but I am scared at failing again if I MC - life really is so unfair!!

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 04/06/2009 08:56

Fingers crossed Yellow

Cindy - my first couple of AF's post the later MC were very weepy - hormones still a bit all over the place even though my cycle was back to normal and it just emphasises the wrongness I think - AF should not be there, I should be PG thoughts etc.

It will pass - I found after spotting became proper AF, I felt lots better.

My appt yesterday was OK - got all the bloods done, which is what I wanted - just a waiting game now, but the lovely EPU nurse said not to worry about getting PG in the meantime and the second I even suspect I am, to call in and they'll look at treatment plans and do blood tests etc - sounds very reassuring and I think the main benefit of being under a recurrent MC consultant will be regular reassurance scans

C1NDY · 04/06/2009 09:08

Okay, what a way to start a Thursday with my miserable rantings... I am so looking forward to Paul McKennors seminar, will let you all know how it goes. It really is exciting as I am staying at the Wembley Plaza Hotel which means that I am going to relax and enjoy Friday nite. My DH is looking after my DD... so its going to be wonderful. Haven't been out on a Friday for a long time... so I guess I will be having a glass or two of red wine and chocolates (in case Paul hyponitises me not to eat chocolate) and also may go for an Indian.

C1NDY · 04/06/2009 09:13

Jools thanks, just shows how really broken we are sometimes but we manage to plod on... I will gather myself.. this is not going to get me. I read Lance Armstrongs book this week and it was so inspirational.. .if he can survive cancer ... I can damn well get a BFP and produce a baby!!

Jools - glad that you are getting the treatment you need. It is very reassuraning ... One of the reasons I am not waiting is that if I do MC again I will get the treatment I need ... it is a bumper to wait for the magic three number!!!

wasabi not sure if it was you ... but get a private scan done... it will reassure you... I didn't, and now regret it... I think couple of the other girls did and I have a link.. somewhere if you want to know where to go, don't let the doctors fob you off...
