Hi Iggy glad your AF has arrived and that you can now let the ttc commence! It's so frustrating isn't it when you are just waiting for her to show? A complete reversal of course of the usual situation.

Yellow thats so lovely that you and dh are still having some fun! I think no matter how hard you try there will always be an element of sex becoming a bit mechanical when ttc. Its important I think to keep it up even in non fertile windows! Plus it doesn;t do mens swimmers any good to be cooped up for more than a week or so at a time apparently!

Welcome lucygrif to our little group. The usual pattern seems to be new people who have been ttc for ages joining our thread then getting a BFP almost straight away so you're following a good trend! Sorry AF showed up this month but fingers crossed for the next.

I am going quietly potty waiting for the days to pass now. I am convincing myself more and more that somthing is afoot as I am having symptoms I haven't had since my last BFP. Could just be coincidence though.

We are going away at the weekend to inlaws and I thought about buying some tests to take but decided against. It can wait until Monday if the lovely pg party going on in my head isn't rudely crashed by the evil witch.

CD24 and counting....

P1nky why not hopeful?

Pinkyblue123 · 20/05/2009 15:43

I don't know why I am not feeling too hopeful Wasabai maybe I am just not wanting to get my hopes up, I guess I will know on Friday

wasabipeanut · 20/05/2009 15:51

I know what you mean. Its so difficult isn't it? Being torn between hope and not wanting the crushing disappointment afterwards.

iggypiggy · 20/05/2009 17:06

wasabi am just currently waiting for her to push off... which is also annoying! Can youremember if your first period was odd after MC? Mine is v. bright red (sorry all!) am guessing that I prob didn't ovulate?

Really hope is good news for you wasabi and for pinky I want more BFPs here!

funtimewincies · 20/05/2009 20:07

Just popped in to check that you knew about Sparky, but you already do .

Congratulations to Jardins!!!

Not sure what happened to Ray81 but sorry to hear that things might not have had a happy ending .

wasabipeanut · 21/05/2009 09:16

Iggy my first period was very painful as I remember but very light - seemed odd at the time as the pain was way out of proportion to the flow. Was bright red for several days then stopped suddenly.

The next one was horrid - painful again and I spotted for ages before and afterwards. The one after that (last one) was normal - no spotting just straight in. I have also ovulated earlier each cycle. I got positive OPK on CD18 for the 1st, CD15 for the 2nd and CD13 for the cycle I am on now!

Looking at it now I think it took the first couple of cycles for the kinks in my hormones to work themselves out. I hope yours sort themselves out quicker! x

Joolsiam · 21/05/2009 09:19

Iggy - my first "AF" was probably anovulatory - no PMT, no pain at all and bright red / pink blood but very light flow for 8 or 9 days

The next AF was a hormone storm and more painful / heavier than normal. Ovulation was, like Wasabi, a few days later than normal that cycle, then I settled back into a CD14 ov, which is 2 days earlier than it used to be.

Can barely keep my eyes open today - bloody cat woke me up birdwatching at 3.45 and I couldn't get back to sleep

Pinkyblue123 · 21/05/2009 10:01

Hi Ladies.

iggy it took about 3 months for my cycles to return to normal. My AF's were light and dragged on much longer than usual. Then everything just went back to normal. I guess it takes time for your body to recover and get back to normal.

It looks like my hunch was right as my temp has dropped today so I guess AF will arrive tomorrow as expected I am getting really fed up with this TTC business

How is everyone else today?

wasabipeanut · 21/05/2009 10:07

Sorry to hear that P1nky. The day you register the temp drop sucks doesn't it? The only upside is you get a warning, although in my case the big drop happens the day I actually come on so I get about 5 minutes warning.

This is my 2nd month of temping and I am quite fascinated with it!

iggypiggy · 21/05/2009 10:53

Thanks for sharing that everyone - am glad is not just me! My AF is still going on - would usually have stopped by now... but the pain etc. has all gone - so hoping will end soon...

Sorry about temp drop pinky

yellowflowers · 21/05/2009 11:47

oh pinky it;s annoying isn;t it.
And hope af finishes soon iggy

Well maybe my temp rose today or maybe it is the 3 glassses of wine I had last night

Today is I think day 16 and so far have BDd on days 6/8/12/14/16 so am covered hopefully unless I ovulated (don't think I did) days 10/11.

So still going to BD for next few days in case I'm late but more or less at beginning of 2ww now.

wasabipeanut · 22/05/2009 09:18

Ok I'm getting far too excited here but I have now got a triphasic temp chart! I had a rise after ov and now 2 days of rises starting 10 days post ov.

And it's still to early to test! Arrrghhhhhh.

yellowflowers · 22/05/2009 09:45

Oooh wasabi very exciting! Am watching this space...

My temp low today so must have been wrong about ovulation.I am having a transvaginal scan on Tues as part of the tests the hospital ordered. Will they be able to see whether I've ovulated or are about to?

I'm away until Mon now. Have lovely weekends everyone.

Joolsiam · 22/05/2009 10:00

Ooh fingers crossed Wasabi when will you test ??

I shall lurk on my phone while away this weekend, hoping for good news

YellowFlowers - I'm pretty sure they are able to tell from a scan if you have any eggs growing or about to release - not sure if they can tell you whether an egg has been released, but ask them

If my calculations are right, I'm expecting AF on Sunday. Still a very small element of hope, as I've had more creamy cm yesterday, which I never have post ov. Also, I was back at the gym yesterday for the first time since hurting my back on Sunday and did a long run on the cross trainer - towards the end, my tum started getting a bit itchy and mildly crampy

wasabipeanut · 22/05/2009 10:18

Thanks guys. Monday will be test day of the witch hasn't shown by then. I'm going to be at the in laws this weekend anyway so it's not really an ideal time to be testing!

Yellow they can def tell from a TV scan if you have ovulated because they can see the collapsed follicle, or eggs growing if not. Having had a couple of these scans (once to try and find an embryo and once a week later to confirm there had been no change) I have to say it ain't a pleasant experience but purely from a scientific standpoint it is really interesting. Seeing your ovary is surreal but fascinating. Have lovely weekend anyway.

Jools You never know. Because your hormones were still high you may have concieved again instantly. It happens, quite a lot from what I can gather.

Fingers crossed we both stay witch free till Monday then get a BFP on the same day! How fab would that be?

God, I need to calm down. Will also be lurking on phone over weekend.

Joolsiam · 22/05/2009 10:26

Oh, meant to say Yellow - I had a transvaginal scan to confirm MC - am assuming yours will be the same. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but it really wasn't unpleasant or uncomfortable.

yellowflowers · 22/05/2009 11:18

thanks - I'll also lurk on phone this weekend. And going to make the most of time away to do lots of nice BDing.

here's hoping for you too jools x

C1NDY · 22/05/2009 11:25

PinkyBlue It will happen, sending you lots of positive vibes. How many cycles have you been trying?

Wasabi Any news?? Goush it must be your month? fingers and toes crossed for you.

Iggypiggy brilliant news that AF arrived, you are now ready to TTC again. You should try the DP as it says that after a MC it should only take three months apparently. Gosh, I can?t wait to try again!

Lucygrif Welcome, its friendly in here and we are happy to share all our concerns and we try our best to part with what knowledge we have in respect of the TTC cycle.

Wasabipeanut I have started to temp too, as it is better to do this until my body gets back to normal as I will have a clearer idea if I am ovulating. So I may come to you, pinky and anyone else who is temping to get some advice. I am thinking its cheaper also than to keep using the ovulation sticks.

Jools goush, I can?t wait till Monday hope you and Wasabi get the BFP?. I have everything crossed for you?.. p.s. have been busy at work so have not had time to go on the other thread? but am failing miserably on the CD so have decided to do the Diet Chef? ordered the food yesterday. I will still be going on to the site? but when work dies down, its been hectic here!!

I went to the doctors and the bleeding I am getting is normal, as my MC at about 13 weeks so its just my uterus shedding the extra lining, but apparently it still means I can get pg but I am going to wait till July ? hopefully I would have lost some weight and will be in a better mood in doing the ritual of TTC again!!

My next door neighbour had a baby boy, goush I felt teary. But the upside is ? well, I hope I don?t type this wrongly? but she had two MC and then finally conceived a boy? her first baby. So I guess there is hope for me? if that makes sense. MC does mean the end. My sister-in-law told me that one of her friend MC eleven times and she finally has three kids now!! Stories like that keeps my hopes up, if you know what I mean.

May you all have a fantastic weekend? and I can?t wait for Monday.

Cindy
