Piper will be amazing when they do start moving around though!I can't imagine what it would feel like to have two of them kicking the crap out of one another! Will be such a show watching your belly shift about! Did you watch the you tube video I posted!? Mental x x

piper84 · 22/04/2009 17:30

Yep, It was amazing with a bit of luck they will take it in turns to kick me and not do it together

cricri · 22/04/2009 18:31

Sorry ladies, not had chance to post until now, although I have been lurking!
Sparkly Great results I'm so pleased for you.
Georgie Hope your GTT went well and that your sciatica is better.
Mollie Glad you've been signed off for a week, you don't need the stress of work at the moment. Sorry the ms is kicking in though. Know exactly what you mean about the danger period - we're all here to help you through it.
Ei Really feel for you, the limbo is awful. I agree with the others, try to make an emergency GP appt. Or could you go along to your EPU?
Tehee Your birth story brought tears of joy to my eyes, you did fantastically. TENS machines rock ladies! Just don't let your DH/DPs try to electrocute you like mine did!
Fruity I can't believe you're back at work already! Time flies. Don't beat yourself up about the bf, you've given Jack a great start and anything he's getting from you is a bonus. Love your wedding dress btw - mine was gold too and I think it's a lovely colour. Love the idea of an autumn theme too.
Piper at hearing the 2 heartbeats! Must be really strange!
Scully Good luck for your mw appt and GTT on Friday. I'd take the rest of the day off if I were you!
Lola Have a fantastic holiday and rest as much as you can! Hope the next couple of days aren't as bad as you fear - sounds manic!
Bella lol at your baby liking Lemon Fanta. When I went for my 4D scan the sonographer sent me off to have a fizzy drink to get Elise to turn around so that we could see her better. Didn't work though - she was stubborn even then!
We're all OK here and enjoying the lovely spring weather. Elise likes to sleep in her pushchair in the garden after we've been for a walk which enables me to do a bit of gardening or sit and read

FruitynNutty · 23/04/2009 18:30

Hey, I haven't ead through but just wanted to let you all know about this fantastic bargain website I've found
They've got ridiculously cheap Hot Milk bras and knickers on there. I've just spent £48 on 2 bras and two pairs of knicks incl postage

FruitynNutty · 23/04/2009 18:31

Hot Milk sale only on till tomorrow so grab a bargain now!

BellaHarry · 23/04/2009 19:53

Fruity Damn I have no money!!! Can't buy bras aaaggghh!

Ladies I need your help with a purchase, I am going to have to buy a rubber backed table cloth preferably in teal/brown as this is the colours of my living room. My cats have f*!ked the dinning table with their claws!

Cricri Lemon fanta drank very quickly that's what does it! lol

FruitynNutty · 23/04/2009 20:02

There's always Mr Credit Card Bella

Right, gonna have a look through the posts while dinner's on..................

FruitynNutty · 23/04/2009 20:27

teehee Has the cord gone yet? Jack's fell out on day 4. I've been told it can take up to 10 days though. How is the little chap? Keeping you on you toes? I can't wait till we can get all our babies together, it'll be soooooo sweet!
Ei How's the temping/testing going? You must be going insane! Any clues about what's going on yet?
Georgie How are your hips? Was lovely to bump into you at the park! Lovely surprise
Lola Have a fabulous holiday! I swear you're always on holiday! - I think you deserve it though!
I must check out your wedding pics
That reminds me, Bella I've been checking out your wedding pics. I adore your tiara! and your flowers were beautiful! Just what I'm after actually so I might try and print a pic of them to take to the florist if you don't mind
Very, very cute cardi BTW, I'm so jealous I can't put Jack in it. I'm very tempted to put him in the pink M&S vests I bought
Scully Good luck for the glucose test and M/W app tomorrow. DO you have to drink Lucozade? I had to do that with DS1 but not for DS2 (different hospitals)
Sparkly fantastic test results! Another great bit of news under your belt
No, no plans for number three yet! Although I desperately miss being pregnant We will have to move to a bigger place before we have another baby, can't see that happening any time soon
Mollie I hope you're ok? Being emotional is a great symptom How lovely to have a week off work!
Piper I can't wait to see your scan pics, let us know when it'll be! SOOOOOOO exciting!!!!
cricri I know I shouldn't beat myself up about BFing but it's soooo disheartening I was sooo desperate to exclusively BF, it was for me more than for Jack. Just to prove my body isn't entirely useless. (obviously it isn't as I've managed, miraculously, to produce two beautiful boys )
How's Elise doing?
Mibbes, Emmsy, you girl's ok? Keeping busy?
Right, going off to serve dinner............

BellaHarry · 24/04/2009 09:45

Fruity that's fine about the flowers. And if you want to borrow my tiara you are more than welcome to, it could be your something borrowed. It seems a shame for it to sit up in the attic anyway

SparklyPseudonym · 24/04/2009 11:19

Morning all,
Another headache here which I'm using as an excuse not to do any work - funny how I can still manage to MN though .
Fruity Have you got loads more organising to do for the wedding? Is your place still up for sale?
Cricri Am glad little Elise is enjoying sun. L was in the garden from 10-7 on Thursday. Might as well make the most of it while it lasts!
Piper Did they find the HBs easily? Any news on scan date?
Ei Had a peek at your chart and your temps are still high. Really hope you get some answers soon.
Mollie Hope you're taking lots of time to relax but keeping your mind occupied.

Sparkly sorry about your sore head. Hope the weather's been good for you on your day off?

I had mw apt today, all seems well, baby is head down as I thought! I'm certain she's been like that since 22 weeks! Hope she stays!? Mw saif my belly measured 25(is that cm?) As I understood it measurement should be equal to number of weeks, but I'm 26 and 2; does this mean she's a little small? What did you girls experience re measurements at my stage? Well I'm just sitting in the sun in the garden in my undies!! I know neighbours can see but don't care!

Ei thinking of you! How are things? X x x

BellaHarry · 24/04/2009 19:35

Help! Can I paint using Dulux emulsion? Is it dangerous for the baby? I keep reading all of this conflicting information and DH is getting moody as I'm not being clear about whether I will or will not be helping to paint this weekend, but it's just because I'm not sure???

FruitynNutty · 24/04/2009 20:53

I don't see why not. Maybe wear a mask if you're worried? Just don't drink it
I would just do it but you know me, did all the things I probably shouldn't have during pregnancy!

FruitynNutty · 24/04/2009 20:57

Sparkly How's your head? Got much work done?
Wedding plans going well so far. Caterers sorted, dress sorted, venue sorted, got loads more to do. I've been looking for a bridesmaid dress for my sister in that lovely sage colour but can't find much except on proper bridesmaid dress websites where a lot of them are quite frumpy looking. My sister (22) is a bit more funky and individual with her style so could be tricky!
Yes, flat is still up for sale! Why, wanna buy it?

SmilingEi · 25/04/2009 09:47

hi ladies
hope everyone is ok
so temp is still up today i am past my first milestone and i got another BFP this morning with an ebay cheapie
i am going to see the gp this week and demanding a blood hcg i think
sparkly hows your head this morning??
mollie hope you are ok
fruity hows master jack?? how are you feeling??
teehee how is our little teeny noah?? hope everything is going well
hi to all the preggos and all of the other lurking mummies

xx ei xx

scully · 25/04/2009 12:01

Great news about the bfp Ei It's all sounding good
I think painting should be ok Bella, wear a mask if you're worried, like Fruity suggested. I painted dd2's room in Dec, as long as the room is well ventilated, I can't think of any problem.
I had a mw check yesterday and the glucose test done. Felt crappy though as I had breakfast at 7.15am and by the time I got home from the hospital and had lunch it was just after 12pm, too long without food. Took me until the evening to feel vaguely normal again.
mw happy with everything, also said baby is head down, but there is still plenty of room for it to move around. Instead of going from checks every 4wks down to 2wks, they don't want to see me now for 6wks Said they had changed their procedures after research found that such regular visits were unnecessary. Not sure how comfortable I am with that, but if I have any concerns I will be there earlier.
Have you had any interest in your flat Fruity? Does dp still want to rent?
How's your headache Sparkly?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 25/04/2009 12:24

Morning. Having a fab time wading through fabric and wallpaper samples. It's been really busy on site this week and I'm feeling happier about it being finished before the baby arrives.

I'm hoping that I don't have Gest Diabetes as no phone call from midwife or GP. Test done on Wed so would have though they'd have called by now if any prob.

Ei Fab news about the BFP. Have everything crossed for you that the good news continues.

Fruity Lovely to see you in the park the other day. You're looking fab. Cow!! And you're going great guns with your wedding preps. Can't wait to see the pics. Have you thought about getting a dress made for your sis? She can help design? Am sure that in this economy seamstresses are crying out for work.

Scully Good news on your tests. I haven't seen a MW since 24 weeks (now 29) so think I might have to prod them to see what's happening. Can't remember whether it's all GP lead from here on in. How's your body holding up? Mine's aching like I've run a marathon by the end of the day. Back, hips, tummy. But, we're nearly on the 10 week countdown . Oh, and I know 4 other friends that are all due between 10 and 15 July . It's a busy time of year.

Sparkly How's the head. Did you manage to get any 4Head?

Mollie How you holding up love? How's the MS? Are you managing to rest whilst you've been signed off?

Lola Have a very lovely holiday. Eat your own body weight in bakclava .

Bella I think as long as you keep the room well ventilated, don't inhale the fumes straight from the can and wear a mask you'll be OK. Modern paints are so low in chemicals these days that personally I wouldn't be worried. I painted a big room when I was 7 months preg with Libby. She's fine! Well, almost!!!

Right, I've saved up my alcohol units for this week, which means I can have 2 glasses of wine at the 40th b'day party we're going to tonight. Woo hoooo. Party on . xxx

BellaHarry · 25/04/2009 17:43

georgie I think you're right about the tests they would have called you by now. I'm v.[Envy]
Of you picking fabrics etc sounds like fun!

Ei soooo glad you got another bfp! have been thinking about you this week!

georgie, fruity, scully thank you for you advice about the painting, I feel much for confident now. Although DH is doing the bulk I like to help out!

teeheelaydee · 25/04/2009 18:36

Hi Ladies

I've not really had much of a chance to catch up but am ever hopeful for tomorrow!!

Great news about the BFP Ei I've been thinking of you alot! Have you told you doctor/consultant - when will they want to see you.

As I said will try and catch up properly tomorrow but we are all doing well here. Noah has had a bit of a feeding frenzy last couple of days- no horrible 8 hour marathons - he is a snacker but wanting to be fed every hour sometimes. He's putting on lots of weight though so MW v/pleased with us both. He is in his cot atm - we are attempting to make dinner - he is snuffling though so looks like I'm on borrowed time!

FruitynNutty · 25/04/2009 20:43

Oh Ei that's fantastic news!!!! I have a good feeling about this one

I'm absolutely exhausted! Got no sleep last night as I BF Jack rather than gave him formula - I'm just so worried my milk will dry up if I don't try and keep it up. Of course by 5am I just had to give him a bottle But then he wouldn't go back in his bed as he'd been next to me the whole night. I've been walking around all day like a zombie.

Bella That's a wonderful and very generous idea you have there, I would love to borrow your tiara I swear I wasn't hinting! More hinting about where you got it but if you are happy for me to borrow then fantastic! , now for something old, and something blue..... I'll use my dress as the "something new"
Teehee I'm soooo pleased all is going well for you but I'm so about the bfing I could cry Stupid eh? I can't help it, I'm envious of anybody I see successfully BFing. Please tell me the secret! I'm desperate!
Georgie I certainly don't feel fab, especially today! But thank you, it was very nice of you to say so
You look pretty fab too! I wish I had nice slim legs when I was pregnant!
Sounds as if your extension is really coming on now, can't wait to see it
Scully Glad to hear everything is going well for you No real interest in the flat yet. I've no idea what DP wants to do though.

I feel all human again today. Was feeling a bit ape like but went to get my legs and bikini waxed this morning, I swear I came out of there about 10 lbs lighter
The poor woman had quite a job to do, I kept apologizing! haha. Oh I do love a good wax!

SparklyPseudonym · 26/04/2009 10:06

No headache here for the moment .
Am in desperate need to maternity clothes so went into town on Saturday and everything was dreadful (except a dress I found in the sale). Even Gap didn't deliver the goods and I normally find things I really like there.
Hopefully I'll be more inclined to buy after Tuesday.
Fruity Hope you managed to get more sleep last night! Nope, work is the last thing on my mind although only 4 weeks to go so I'd better crack on. Am def going to come to London a few times over the summer.
Teehee You'll have to post some new pics of Noah when you get the chance . I bet he's changed loads.
Georgie Any test results yet? Fingers crossed you're in the clear. Still not bought any 4head but keep planning to.
Scully Great that bubs is head down. I can't remember how often I saw a MW with DD - think it was every 4 weeks until I was overdue and then it was every week. I think it reduces with a second pg.
Ei Lovely, lovely news from you. Did you test again today? Let the POAS begin!!
Bella I wouldn't worry too much about measurements at this stage. The MW will refer you for a scan if she thinks anything needs to be checked. FWIW I measured +2cm with DD the whole way through.

We're off for a walk this am with some friends - let's hope this weather brightens up. Lots of love to all xxx
