Morning Mollie..How's your hangover .

SparklyPseudonym · 13/04/2009 08:34

LOL Morning Ei. Has was temp today? x

Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 08:36

Morning EI & Sparkly how is the weather with you too? Bit overcast here today.

I do actually feel like I've got a hangover, how mad is that? I think it's the cold though makes me feel like I've been licking the cats arse!

FruitynNutty · 13/04/2009 09:21

Morning everyone, got bubba in this wrap sling thing, he's a little squished and I don't think the positioning of him is very good but, hey, I can MN with TWO hands!

Very disappointed not to hear any Teeheebaby news! I'll have to keep checking......

Bella I swear I can remember telling you about the GI plan a few years ago. Unless I completely imagined it - which I may well have done. I just seem to remember you saying you wanted to lose weight and we were in the cafe court at centre court. I'm probably completely wrong though! I often dream things and think they've really happened!
Thanks for the link anyway, I've got those books, lost loads of weight on GI before. Yes I agree, bananas were missed as they are a great "grab" food but never mind! I also rememeber only having vodka and diet lemonade/coke. I don't think I ever avoided caffeine completely but I think I used to cut down.
I might buy a newer updated version of that book if there is one as mine is a few years old.
I have 5 months (and 6 days) to shift 2.5 stone! I can't believe the wedding is only 5 months away

I've just eaten two Weetabix with no sugar, uuugghh, very bland, this is gonna take some getting used to!

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 10:20

Fruity I use spleandor in tea in tablet form but also the sprinkle version on cereal and in baking, have you tried that? No one deserves to eat wheatabix with no sweetness...yuk! It may well have been your advice that starting me on the plan, and if so thanks!! It was great weighing practically nothing and being a sz 6 (didn't stay at a 6 for long though! lol)Oh and 5 months will go bloody quick!!! Do you use the planner on [www.confetti.co.uk] ??

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 10:21

www.confetti.co.uk

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 10:22

also www.youandyourwedding.co.uk

FruitynNutty · 13/04/2009 10:29

I used to use Splenda actually. It's one of the better ones isn't it as it's made from actual sugar (I think). I don't want to be a size 6! a 10 will do! I think you're shorter than me though aren't you so you would carry off a 6 better than me! Although you'd still look quite ill!
I've been using confetti but haven't looked at it for ages. I'll take a look at the youandyourwedding one, thanks for that! xx

FruitynNutty · 13/04/2009 11:23

Ei chart looks good, very close to the line tbhough although you have a nice little dip at 5dpo good luck!!!

scully · 13/04/2009 11:24

Wow, only 5mths until the wedding Fruity, that will fly by Now I understand the urgency
Our roast pork for dinner was delicious, followed by ice cream and choc sauce Still raining here, I'm hoping to visit my sister tomorrow, who lives an hour away so I hope it stops raining soon, so the roads aren't too wet. dd's are looking forward to it so don't know what we'll do otherwise. Also going to stop in and visit a girlfriend who lives about 10min from my sister, we haven't caught up in person for a few months.
Wonder how Teehee is?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 13/04/2009 12:28

Just got back from Ma and Pa's and logged on to see if there's any news from TeeHee. Hope she's across the finish line by now . If not, then near as dammit. Cor, the suspense is killing me.

Poor Libby is really poorly with the chickenpox. She's covered in spots, got a hi temp and miserable as sin. it's going to be a long day!

It was DH's birthday yesterday. Not the best b'day for him. Grumpy, spotty 3 year old and grumpy pg wife. Will have to make it up to him. We did get him an iPod Touch though. Bloody hell, modern technology is amazing. How old do I sound?!

Fruity Hope you're not beating yourself up anymore about giving Jack a bottle. Mollie and Libby were both mixed fed. Didn't do them any harm. Think you're brilliant for sticking to your guns.

Bella How are you feeling lovely lady? I had severe PND after Mollie. It's horrible. Like staring down the barrel of a gun. Hope you get some meds soon to deal with it. And Fruity is a great listener, so am sure your coffee on Thursday will be a good therapy session.

Lola I'd love to do a May date rather than late June. But, I know that everyone else dying to meet in June too, so maybe we could arrange two?! Can do 16th or 23rd May. And could even swing it so I'm kid free....woo hoo. Do you want to come up here, or we could meet half way?

Ei Love the easter name change. Hope you're lucky this month. If not, then it's not thru lack of trying .

Mollie How you feeling sweetie?

Sparkly Has the headache gone? Try 4Head, it's excellent and safe to us in pg.

Scully You starting to get nervous yet?! We're top of the list now. Christ, what have we done?! I don't know about you, but it can't come quick enough. I'm really not enjoying this pg. I feel as if this baby is slowly sucking the life out of me.

Time to get the calomine out again....

xxxxx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 13/04/2009 12:35

Forgot to ay, Fruity for what it's worth, I NEVER shifted any weight whilst I was BF - too bloody ravenous! I know 5 months isn't a lot of time to get back in shape, but low GI and reduced carbs is a good way to go as you won't feel like you're starving/depriving yourself. Also, don't forget about Spanx pants. They are freaking amazing at sucking a gut in and lifting a bum. Beleive me, I have 2 pairs!!!! No one will see them under your wedding dress. Honest. xxx

PS - Gwyneth wore 2 pairs after the birth of Moses and everyone thought she'd lost the weight in super quick time.

Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 16:17

Text from TeeHee

Noah Robert arrived today at 8.52 am, 6lb 12oz. He's perfect. We have to stay in hospital tonight as waters broke Saturday night. Will post the whole story when I can

Congratulations to you both, love the name and can't wait to see photo's!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 13/04/2009 17:03

YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE

Well done TeeHee. Great news. Welcome to the world little Noah Robert.

Looking forward to hearing all the grisly details (if you want to share). If not then, looking forward to the photo's.

Hope you get some rest after the birth. Sounds like a long one.

Lots and lots of love to you and your DP. Hope Noah brings you lots of joy and some sleep . xxxxxxxxxx

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 17:32

Congratulations Teehee! A little boy! Such a cool name! I liked Noah

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 13/04/2009 19:47

PS - He's the same weight as Mollie was when she was born. Bet you look at him and think he's TINY!

Another vote here for your fab choice of name.

DH wondering whether we can send a spoof text out when Tedwood born..... something along the lines of:

Donna Tracey Chardonnay, born 12.30am, weighing 15lbs 3oz. Mother never speaking to father again. Baby doing well and taking to her bottle of WKD like a pro. .

Although, have you seen that Jules and Jamie Oliver have called their daughter:

Petal Blossom Rainbow

Not sure that I'll be following their lead!

SparklyPseudonym · 13/04/2009 20:45

Have just been for a nap and am hardly awake . We went to see Monsters Vs Aliens in 3D today and ate lots of popcorn - yum!!
We've decided to pay privately for a Nuchal. We don't get offered them on the NHS and have decided on one so that we can be prepared if there are any problems. They cost £180 here - is that the norm? Am between 11 and 11+3 now so it will be soon and am praying there will be a heartbeat.
Phone has been off but had text from teehee which said same as Mollie. Am so pleased (and I knew it would be a blue one!). Hoping she has a very quick recovery and the newborn days pass as smoothly as possible. CONGRATULATIONS HTGG My brother sent a text after my nephew was born saying something similar. My sister in law was furious . Headache gone now (thank god) but will def invest in some forehead if it returns. Thanks for tip. Really hope Libs feels better soon.
Mollie Maybe it was the sniffing of the booze that gave you a hangover . really hope the cold clears up and you have a little break before symptoms kick in. xx
Ei Have you tested? Really hope this is the month for you.
Fruity Don't panic about your weight. You've just given birth and you need the extra calories for breastfeeding. FWIW I produced lots of milk but don't lose any weight whilst breastfeeding. I joined weightwatchers when DD was 3 months old and lost 7lb in 3 weeks from healthy eating and step areobics a couple of times a week. You've got loads of time until the wedding. Most important thing is that you're ok.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you've all had a fab bank holiday. I need to start work tomorrow. Am on a six week count down before I (hopefully) only do a tiny bit of supply and then avoid work like the plague for as long as I can.

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 21:00

lol Geoorgie I love that idea! I can imagine my DH doing that!!

Sparkly I use forheard stick, it's in my bag all the time and for more severe headaches the sticky strips are great too! Defo reccomend too!

HappyEIster · 13/04/2009 21:04

teehee!! CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of little noah robert cant wait to see pics

xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 13/04/2009 21:55

Hooray!!!!! Teehee Well done you! And huge congratulations on the birth of Noah! I can't wait to see pictures, did it hurt? I just can't imagine what actually giving birth feels like, I remember the labour pains from DS but obviously never got as far as the actual birth
I'd love to know the gory details as and when you're ready

Scully and Georgie you two next, it'll be a race to the finish line!

I've had it with chocolate now, really over done it this time. I feel like a big wobbly jelly. I can't wait to feel healthy again!

Sparkly I have no idea what the norm is for the price of a nuchal, such a bugger you don't get it for free I don't understand the postcode lottery thing.
Georgie like the spoof text idea . Likig the spanx pants idea too!
Re the Bfing, one minute I think sod it, just pack it in as it's too stressful and difficult and bottle feeding is sooo much easier (Yes it bloody is! Even with the sterilising and making up formula! which doesn't bother me at all) the next minute I remember how shit I felt about not sticking at it with Charlie. I just can't see it getting any better. By the afternoon I seem to have completely dried up, I can barely squeeze a single drop out - no wonder Jack pulls and tugs at me (which is incredibly sore) - I know it's because I give him an evening bottle, my body just doesn't bother making anymore.
I am going to really try to get to 6 weeks though

iris66 · 13/04/2009 22:22

so sorry to barge in ladies - just wanted to say a quick hi to Georgie ((waves))

Hope all's OK with you and your precious bump. All's well here. I lost your mobile No. though when I drove over my phone & would love to keep in touch. Text me? love & hugs xx

FruitynNutty · 14/04/2009 10:09

Morning,

I wonder how our little Noah is getting on

Just got Jack off to sleep, well he's stopped crying for 10 seconds anyway
Just had my dear friend on the phone saying how worried she is about me getting my wedding dress as hers took 6 months to order, oh crap, I have 5 months and haven't even chosen it yet So she's phoning around all the wedding dress shops for me now so we can get appointments for this afternoon!, should be interesting with Master Jack in tow

Lovely morning, just hung my washing out Just wish I could have done it without Jack screaming his little heart out

BellaHarry · 14/04/2009 10:19

Georgie I'm ok hun, trying to avoid the pn dep as I know it can start early. Feel better when the sun's out

Ei sorry you feel AF coming on..hope your wrong but well done for being (appearing) cool with it xxx

I am in a foul mood today, have already left a moody fb status but still fuming!! Today I am sitting indoors ALL day as DH is at golf and we are MEANT to be having the nursery plastered...but guess who hasn't turned up, and can't be contacted...THE F'ING PLASTERER!!! To top it off I could be at work today making £100 doing revision sessions (easy money) So the situation is..I wait in on the off chance that another plasterer can take the job and Fruity the day the revision sessions have been possibly moved to is this Thursday which may mean I can't meet you for coffee (which I desperatly needed) I will let you know by the end of the day when my line manager gets in touch. So that's me for now..sorry to moan but it's that or cry ...at least Bella is curling up on my lap to let me know I'm still loved!

Hi to all, hope your well x

mibbes · 14/04/2009 11:12
