Molliemooma · 16/04/2009 19:22

Sparkly Glad to hear DD's kidney scan went well, still expecting a text or call by 10am at the latest tomorrow
EI Please test, just for me
Lola Love the stuff you found the nursery and gorgeous nightie. Lol at the bookcase saga, glad to see you won the fight though
Bella of cuddles with Jack, and all that worry of the nursery for nothing, glad to hear it's all sorted. Good luck with doctor tomorrow.
Georgie Windows and a door - wow! We must be due a new photo update soon surely? Hope the phone dries out OK, stick it on a radiator or in the airing cupboard.
TeeHee I've not said anything for 2 days, I know you are settling in but I'm dying for a photo, get DP to text it to me and I'll stick it on my profile if you like I promise I won't pretend he's mine!

I have to confess I'm having a few wobbly moments over the last couple of days, so much for the relaxed me Yesterday felt very teary and emotional over nothing, just kept thinking how 3 wks is going to go on forever and ever and ever! Today I started checking my diary to see how many interviews were booked in for the week that I hope to get my scan in, so if I had to have time off for an ERPC how many people would have to be rearranged I think its harder as I'm getting more symptoms kicking in so can't put my head in the sand anymore, still I knew this wasn't going to be a walk in the park and I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow.

SmilingEi · 16/04/2009 19:43

Molliemooma · 16/04/2009 20:07

EI I can drive up with the one I've got left??

cricri · 16/04/2009 21:24

A belated congratulations to Teehee Welcome to Noah Robert and glad bf is going well (yes, it does hurt initially - don't believe people who tell you it doesn't but it does ease) Look forward to seeing some pics soon!
Sorry for going AWOL ladies - we didn't get back from our weekend in Yorkshire until late on Monday night and I have a lot of work on this week and next so haven't had much chance to MN. It took me ages just to read my PN thread and this one, never mind posting. That's what happens when you go away somewhere without internet access. But everything is fine - thanks for asking Lola Sparkly Good luck with the scan tomorrow - will be checking in for news. Glad DD's kidney scan went well. What is the next step?
Elise had a paed appt today to discuss her scan results - they're normal now so repeat appt and scan in 6 months. Paed wasn't worried about her raised blood pressure back in January as the kidneys are normal so that's a relief.
Fruity Jack sounds very much like Elise on the feeding front. Things settled down for me at around 6 weeks but it was hard work before then. As others have said, don't beat yourself up if you have to give a bottle now and then. I know what that empty feeling is like Also that your DP isn't being more supportive.
Mollie Sorry that you've been feeling wobbly - the pg hormones don't help. And I know exactly what it feels like to be counting down to the first scan. But each passing day is one more further along IYSWIM so try to hold onto that and keep posting.
Ei I'm on tenterhooks! You can't keep us waiting until Saturday!
Lola Are you doing NCT classes? They usually have a bra-fitter come along and measure you. I got two smooth nursing bras (black and white) and one for night-time and I hardly ever wear them! I live in the nursing vests I mentioned a while back as they're much easier. I also got a bf pyjama top and night-dress from JJJMMBB - much easier access than the stupid night-time bra.
Hope your cold is better soon.
Bella Hope your doctor refers you asap. Glad you had a good time in Paris - Elise and I are off to France for 2 weeks next month and I can't wait! Although I'm not looking forward to the 13h drive down there - she screamed for the last 30 minutes of the jjourney home on Monday night after a couple of hours of being really unsettled. We stopped a couple of times just to give her a break but by the end she was just fed up.
Georgie Glad you had a good holiday, great news about the build but shame about the chicken pox. Hope your phone's ok
Hello to everyone else and welcome to jaamy and ray

FruitynNutty · 17/04/2009 07:50

Morning, just a quick one to wish Sparkly loads of luck for today. I have no idea when the scan is but please text me when you're done!!!
I forgot to say how pleased I am that L's kidney scan went well

Hi cricri, nice to see you again, did you have a nice time in Yorkshire? I haven't had a chance to read your post but will catch up later x

Going off to Gloucestershire today to our wedding venue to discuss wedding with coordinator, should be fun
Going to try on more wedding dresses tomorrow so looking forward to that

scully · 17/04/2009 09:51

Goodluck for today Sparkly, looking forward to hearing your good news
Great news the house is progressing Georgie, you'll be back in there in no time.
Well done with holding out with the testing Ei, even if you have no choice It's sounding promising isn't it.
It is hard Mollie, staying positive some days. Hang in there, hopefully the next few weeks won't drag too much.
dd's stayed home with dh yesterday and today, they had fun but would have been cheaper to send dd1 to vacation care & after me sorting out which credit card for us to get, with no charge for 2 card holders, low interest rate etc etc and applying for it online, I find out today the only thing we need to do is to take some id to the branch and then we'll have our cards in a 1-2 working days. But dh can't manage this, after picking me up at 4pm, and the bank closes at 5pm. This particular bank doesn't have any branches which open here on Sat so it has to be a week day. Bloody annoying, can't believe he has the gall to tell me he's too tired Quite happy for me to do the running around for everything but he needs to do one thing and can't get off his arse to do it.....Anyway, my turn to whinge today
Had to smile at the bookcase story Lola, know exactly how you felt

SparklyPseudonym · 17/04/2009 14:34

All fine at the scan. Baby measuring 12 weeks - 5.54mm and nuchal readings were 0.79mm, 0.89mm x2. They had a nightmare getting blood from me and had to syringe it out of my hands after a few attempts - nice bruises to prove . Results a week tomorrow and next scan on 28th. Will upload picture and catch up later.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 17/04/2009 14:43

Wow Sparkly. That's fab news. Really pleased that you've got over this milestone. Great nuchal measurements as well. You do know what this means don't you..... you're really, really going to have another baby . Enjoy my love. Hope you have a great rest of the day.

Will be back later. But bloody starving and need some lunch!

xxx

SparklyPseudonym · 17/04/2009 16:17

I'm really umcomfy in underwired ones.

Thanks Georgie. Fingers crossed aye?! How is the mobile?
Scully Bloody men - it's so much easier to do everything yourself..but why should we have to?!
Fruity Good luck today. Sounds like you're making great progress.
Cricri Thanks for support. Next step is to see the consulant (again) to see if a dye scan is needed. If there are no more infections in the next few months they we may even be discharged by the hosp - yey! Glad you had good news from hospital visit with E. Fingers crossed for repeat scan.
Mollie You know where I am when those wobbly moments get you...I won't be happy if you struggle on alone!!
Ei Hurry up with some news will ya?!
Kate Hope cold is better today. Hope you're not doing any heavy lifting!
Bella How was docs appointment?

Takes a deep breath...have to start having faith.

FruitynNutty · 17/04/2009 23:04

Actually, I'm gonna kinda miss the old conception room It's where it all began!

FruitynNutty · 17/04/2009 23:17

I just found our original thread!
here

22nd Feb 08 - it's where it all began (except for the main original Waiting Room where most of us came from) But this is where our friendships really began

FruitynNutty · 17/04/2009 23:21

Oh crap, just realised it might bring back bad memories for some but still interesting to read though

Ei I'm just so excited for you!

I'll shut up now

Night night!

scully · 18/04/2009 08:17

Great news with your scan Sparkly You can now relax and start to enjoy it a little more
Got a grumpy dd2 on my lap, actually she has just got off and is grumping at her dad now. Boy I thought I could wake up in a bad mood, she takes the cake
Know what you mean Fruity, where will we live now, as a thread, pregnancy? So is your clever boy smiling, you'll have to try and get a photo
I have finally got around to putting 4 photos on FB, you can see I was lacking enthusiasm during Jan and Feb, for anything really, including taking photos

EI Now I'm smiling Mollie Congratulations my lovely you so deserve it If everything goes to plan we've got very close EDD's
Fruity I had to laugh reading the old thread, how you were moaning about DP then! How things don't change! Well apart from you now have Jack of course We don't have to rush out of here yet though do we? I'm still very unsure about things and would like to hang out here until I know things are OK? If that's OK with you all? About 8 months should do it
Sparkly Have you done FB yet?

Well my cold has finally gone but I sound like I've been smoking woodbines can't shake this cough. Quite a few symptoms kicking in, but trying to ignore them

EI Still smiling and clapping my hands

Right I will stop posting now I promise I'm at my Mum's house i had to fix her computer (which I've obviously done) and now I'm waiting for her to come home so as you can see I'm a little bored!
