BellaHarry · 11/04/2009 20:49

Georgie welcome back! Glad to hear your swelling up I heard it's Chikenpox season at the moment, my niece has them, I've banned her from being around at my mum's tomorrow..is that mean? hope DD doesn't scratch too much, my sis and I have matching scars from ours aaaw sweet x

scully · 11/04/2009 22:37

Happy Easter everyone
Welcome back Georgie Don't envy the chickenpox, dd1 had them when she was 2, a very mild dose. I then caught them 2wks later and dh 2wks after me, we both had major doses of it, awful
dd2 and dc3 shouldn't catch as they immunise for it here.
How is your ear Fruity? Don't think I'd wait to see someone, it's unlikely to fix itself. dh has just got up, curious to see what state he's in, I dropped him off at the pub yesterday at 12.30pm to have some drinks with friends, he had $100 to spend. I rang him at 7.30pm to say 7hrs is a pretty good effort and it would be nice if he wasn't written off for the whole of today He eventually came home at 9.30pm. If he is useless for the whole of today I will be less then impressed....& if he has spent more than the $100 I won't be happy as he has Thurs and Fri off to spend with the dd's and will then be wanting more money for that. No idea how to look ahead and budget further than the day we are on
Anyway, winge over

teeheelaydee · 12/04/2009 07:37

Welcome back Georgie glad you had a good break but not ideal for the Chicken Pox to hit in the school hols - what a drag for you all. Mind you you have DH at home to share the calamine lotion duty!

Although sounds like DP's/DH's are all in the doghouse at the moment - Scully Why do they need to go over the top - why not just a few drinks and then be of use for the rest of the weekend - boys huh!

So I'm fessing up - looks like something might be happening on the baby front. Thought waters had broken yesterday morning and had very mild contractions in the afternoon. Hospital told me to go in just to check the waters thing and with my history make sure all OK. Turns out just a hind leak but they definitely broke last night and contractions are getting stronger - still about 10 mins apart though. Do, just trying to chill out at home and hoping that things hot up soon. Hopefully next time you hear from me it will all be over - or is that all just beginning

Can't wait to hear your news Teehee, good luck
Crap, that means Georgie and I next on the list, once Teehee delivers her bundle
dh managed to come home from his pub outing with about $15 left so that calmed me somewhat and I decided at 10.30am this morning that I would go out regardless, dd's were going to get on our nerves otherwise. So drove to friends on the Sunshine Coast who have 2 children and spent 6hrs up there. Lovely, dd's had a lovely time at the park, beach and their house, and I caught up with our friends and we had dinner there before I drove back. 1.5hrs each way but I'm not too tired and it was worth the effort.
How's your ear Fruity?
Nice name change Ei
How are you doing Mollie?

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 12:13

OMG teehee best of luck lady! I'm sure you will sail through it Can't wait to hear from you!

Scully I'm quite impressed with your DH managed to come back with cash! mine would a) never be back before closing despite when he started drinking and b) would over spend and get cab and chips on way home you have him well trained well done! x

Hey Ei do you not rate your chances then this cycle, I've completely forgotton how it all works now..I was obsessed for a while and now can't remember a thing

Hi Fruity looking forward to Thur!

So does anyone have Teehee's number or are we just waiting for a mn post? ooh it's so exciting xx

SparklyPseudonym · 12/04/2009 19:36

Another quickie from me - have had awful headache all day and can't get rid of it .

Had a text from teehee this am to say she thought it was going be a long one but I suspect she's well on her way now .

Bets - boy/girl/weight?

I think boy, 7lb 9oz. (Made that up on the spot)

BellaHarry · 12/04/2009 19:39

I'm sure it's a boy too! Going to go with 7lb 7oz...Come on Tee hee!!!

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 20:21

I'm going for boy too, ummmmm she's not tall is she.......what about her DP? and she's only 1 day over! .....errr, lets say......8lb that's about average anyway.

Bella yes looking forward to Thursday! We can put the world to rights over a grande latte (Skinny for me )

I weighed myself today at my Mum's I thought I'd be about 10 and a half stone, 11 at the absolute most.........................................................
I'm 11st 6lbs!!!!!!! I cannot believe it! That's 2 and a half stone more than I usually am How the hell can I weigh that much without a baby, placenta and water??? That's it, my proper eating sensibly starts on Tuesday. There's no point starting now with all the chocolate around here. I should just throw it away. I can't believe I used to weigh 9 stone and thought I was too big then!

HappyEIster · 12/04/2009 21:01

hey ladies
im going for girl 7lb 1oz for teehee i think she has had the baby now aswell and they are just slightly pre-occupied
hope everyone is doing well

xx ei xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 12/04/2009 21:08

I've been keeping Kate updated by text. Wonder whether TeeHee has 'produced' yet . Am very very excited for her.

I think it's going to be a boy, 8lbs 3oz.

Really hope she has a a straight forward labour.

Oooo, the suspense is killing me.....

Actually, that means it's me or Scully next. Sheeeetttttt.

BellaHarry · 12/04/2009 21:13

...and I'm not that far behind you two! Weird! x

mibbes · 12/04/2009 22:12

OOooohhh teehee how exciting ! I'll go girl (just to be different) and 8lb 4oz.... COME ON teeheebaby we are waiting !!!

Fruity apologies for missing you in my last post - as soon as I had posted and was feeding Evan I remembered that I really wanted to post you a big hug to help with BFing nightmare. I read your other thread and you seemed to get lots of good advice. What I'd say about mixed feeding is that there is no harm in giving FF top ups as long as you are not determined to exclusively BF - I have given DS bottles here and there when am in too much pain to feed and it has not affected my supply. If you are happy to mix feed then give him the formula and give yourself a break. It is really hard work BFing and you have done a great job to get this far given how hungry the wee man is ! Also, you have DS1 to thnk of too - i know for a fact if I had an older child I'd have had to give up weeks ago as I am lucky to have to luxury of being on mat leave and having all of my time dedicated to looking after my wee man. Oh and as an added bonus you'll lose the baby weight faster if you keep feeding, so stick in !!! I am still losing 1-2 pounds per week (and eating mountains of rubbish) and DS is 18 weeks old, I am now 6lbs lighter than pre-preg so let that be encouragement for you

mibbes · 12/04/2009 22:13

OOh and how exciting that we have a whole batch of babies due soon !!!!!

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 23:21

Thanks mibbes comforting to know about the weight loss!
DP and I are going "GI diet" shopping tomorrow, gonna bin all the crap in our fridge/cupboards. Re the bfing weight loss, I wonder if it helps if you produce a lot of milk? I'm not convinced my body is all that good at producing much milk so I'm not sure if I'll loss that much weight just through bfing time will tell I suppose. I've just read a thread about someone who overproduces milk

No news from Teehee? I'll be checking in 1st thing in the morning!

scully · 13/04/2009 05:52

I also lost weight with b/f, although I think it was a combination of walking up and down the stairs at home 100 times a day and having dd1 as well at home, after dd2 was born. I also didn't exclusively feed either time. Don't stress too much about your weight Fruity, Jack isn't very old yet and your body will take a while to sort of go back to normal.
We went bike riding this morning, well I didn't, dh took the dd's and I walked with them
Been raining most of the afternoon here, so nice and cool. dd's are currently watching Cats and Dogs. dh is cooking a roast pork for dinner tonight, yummy
Push Teehee, push I think girl, 7lb6oz.
How was your easter egg and tea Ei? I was never any good at knowing about charts, how does yours look?
I'm having some reflexology on Wed night, so looking forward to it.
Hi to everyone else

BellaHarry · 13/04/2009 08:27

Well I hoped to see news today??? I'll be back later to check on Teehee Scully I want to try reflexology, have you had it before? let me know how it goes. My mum swears by it!

Ooh Fruity we're starting back on the GI diet after lo is born! it really is fab, only thing I missed was bananas as they are not allowed when your on first stage of the diet plan the 'green' foods. Also be carful with hidden sugar in cereals and for drink it's vodka/Gin and slimline tonic...most bars do it! I highly reccommend these books, the top one was all I used for some time then the cookbook is fab too don;t be tempted by the copies they are not true to the plan! I really was an advocate of this eating plan so if you have any questions just ask I remember it all so well! The shopping/eating out guide is a blessing too, someone nicked mine! Anyway good luck babe..oh yeah, one thing you'll miss but it is a really important thing to cut..cafeine!sorry x

HappyEIster · 13/04/2009 08:29

morning ladies
here is my chart for all those who fancy a look
no news from teehee?? oooooooo am so excited for her
scully i really did enjoy my easter egg and cuppa combo how about you?? im of your white choc bunny
fruity dont worry about the weight too much! once you get into the swing of BFing it will probably fall off! the only thing i would be careful of is the hunger! i was RAVENOUS with DD and ended up piling on weight as i sat on my arse and ate crap (you know what i look like so im sure you can imagine) i was a 12-14 pre-preg with sian and a 20-22 after i finished BFing!![bigfatmummy emoticon!!] actually it is only more recently that im managing to shift some of the weight so im going to be wary with what i eat with the next one. i think that if you are eating a balanced diet (with extra calcium, iron and protein) you will be fine
hope everyone else is doing well
xx ei xx

Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 08:30

TeeHee No news?? Hope all is OK

I'd like to add girl 8lb 2oz

SparklyPseudonym · 13/04/2009 08:33

HappyEIster · 13/04/2009 08:33
