Oh Scully your photos are lovely. DD1 really seems to love her role as the oldest. Thank goodness the milk is coming in, I wouldn't fancy expressing colustum. 4 hours is pretty quick, was it scarily quick.

No, Sparkly N doesn't seem any easier today, or is it just me, being a bit tired and lazy. Can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything this week, not just boring house stuff but stuff with N too. We are starting yoga this afternoon so hopefully that will give me a much needed boot up the bottom.

Will catch up properly later - if I can motivate myself to

BellaHarry · 14/07/2009 13:17

Help I have pain in the left side of my back kinda kidney position I have had a bath, rested, walked, drank litres of water but nothing is shifting it, it's not unbearable but comes in waves and only on left side...do I have a kidney infection? I have apt with GP at 4:40 but was hopeing it would ease up by then. It's not helped by the fact that lo is shifting around something chronic and butting me in the cervix and causing pain in my right hip so that I can't stand ....sorry to whinge but I can't get hold of DH (as always) and just feel shit!

SparklyPseudonym · 14/07/2009 14:16

Bella If it was lower back pain then it might be a sign of impending labour but higher up...hmm. Do you have any pain when passing urine or any other water infection problems? Take some pain killers and have a lie down. Don't stress too much about it. LO is moving around and infections in third trimester (if it is an infection) only cause concern about pre-term labour. You're LO wouldn't be considered prem if born now so try not to worry. Might be worth taking urine sample to GP. Good luck.

BellaHarry · 14/07/2009 15:55

thanks sparkly I've got a sample ready for doc and have just been sleeping on sofa with a hot water bottle. No other symptoms to suggest it is or has been a UTI...go figure eh, thank you so much for getting back to me though xx

SparklyPseudonym · 15/07/2009 09:21

Bella How did the docs go?

You're all quiet. I've just taken DD to nursery but I'm looking after her friend this morning. He's watching tv at the moment . Don't know where to take him in this rain.
I've got my 4D scan tomorrow.

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2009 09:40

God I'm so hopeless. It hasn't actually taken me 24 hours to catch up. I got distracted then was really busy for most of yesterday.

I'll try again shall I...

1st of all HUGE congratulations to the new mummy (for the 3rd time) Miss Scully!!!! And only a four hour labour What a little corker! He's gorgeous! How surprised were you to have a boy? I know I was convinced you would have a girl. What a perfect family you have there. Gives me hope that my next one will be a girl after two boys
Any name yet? How's he coping with the world?
How are you coping with a boy? Is it weird?
Wow your milk is in already? I thought it took 3-5 days? Excellent, get it down him!

Thank you to everyone for the councelling support. It is something we have to do but life seems to get in the way until the next row I'll take note of those links

bella (or is it Buddha now?) I've got the emails you sent me, thank you
Georgie Wishing you all the luck for a very imminent birth! I gather you would quite like her out now?
Lola I wouldn't pay any attention to the tape measuring malarky. I've no idea why they do it. So inaccurate. Even scans are unreliable. At the stage you are now, you would have known if baby is particularly small by now. Maybe you'll just have a dinky wee girl - better than a great chunk of a girl (imo) - easier to get out too
Piper sounds like those babies are doing well!
Ei I'm glad everything seems well. Why would you need to go privately? You can get help from NHS? I know you can get Clomid on NHS.
I had a ferning microscope. But with my weirdo hormones, it didn't really work. Seemed to only ever get partial ferning
Teehee That place looks like fun. I like the little ladybird on the website. It follows the cursor around.
How was it? Did Noah enjoy it?
Jaamy I can't believe they wont send you for investigations. Surely the MC's is a good reason to be sent for investigations? It doesn't make sense
Pop in whenever you like
Sparkly Look at you Miss W, The Graduate! The photos are fantastic! Did you have fun? I've never been to a graduation before so no idea what happens. It's my sister's graduation soon but I can't go as it's on a week day [stupid) and it's in Loughborough! Shame really as only my Mum can make it. My sister's a bit cross about that (forever the drama student!)

Ahh, Jack crying again, thought he'd had enough milk, he's probably fed up of being ignored better go!......

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2009 09:46

Oooh crossed posts Sparkly, 3D scan!!!! I can't wait to see the photos!
Alright Jack, I'm coming!!!.................

SparklyPseudonym · 15/07/2009 10:06

Fruity Your not missing out on much by not going to the graduation. You basically sit in a hall and clap when hundreds of students shake hands and get their certificates. It takes a looonnnngggg time. Were you 26 weeks at scan with J? I'll be almost 25 but it's the only time they can fit me in. I did want it later but ah well .

BellaHarry · 15/07/2009 11:15

Sparkly Can't wait to see those scan photos! doc said there was no sign of infection and thinks it's 'mechanical' instead?? it's less painful today; hence popping over to fruity's this afternoon.

Fruity no Buddha is not me...I haven't been able to work it out yet

Today I decided to try and get baby out, mainly through boredom; I alternated use of the breast pump for an hour! rubbed a load of Clary Sage in and then drank a bucket of raberryleaf tea, bounced on ball for 20 min, oh and took an EPO capsule...internet says insert it in my 'woo hoo' but not sure? Would/did any of you?....anyway no suprises really but no baby, or contactions think I'll be less impatient when DH finishes work on fri; I have too much time on my hands!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 15/07/2009 16:39

Hey guys. Still here. Had the sweep this morning. Been having 'contractions' (whether real or BH I don't know any more) since then. But not really ramping up. Am 3-4cm dilated. MW seems to think I'll go this evening or tomorrow. Don't have much faith any more. Booked in on Monday to get my waters broken if nothing happened by then. Am so totally hacked off. So ONLY another 4 days to go......

Am incredibly pleased for you Scully that you have a little boy to round off your family. Hope he's feeding OK now. The photo's are lovely and your DH looks like a v proud papa.

Bella Hope the aches and pains are subsiding.

Sparkly Will look out for scan photo's. Will be amazing to see your LO in his 4D finery!

Fruity Glad you're back with us and pooter is fixed.

Hi to everyone else. Sorry, crap post. Am thinking of you. xxxxx

SparklyPseudonym · 15/07/2009 18:03

Georgie I hope the contractions have started in the last hour. I really feel for you. I know lots of people who have had sweeps and that's been all they've needed. Chin up. It'll soon be over xxxx
Bella She'll come when she's ready . Never heard of EPO capsules but I'm not sure I'd stick anything in my lady garden.

BellaHarry · 15/07/2009 18:17

Georgie I have a good feeling for you hun! it's going to be very soon

Sparkly at 'lady garden' comment how many different ways can there be for describing one's froo froo lol I could keep this up.

I wonder if (when you have the time) you lovely ladies would mind answering the following questions?:

  1. How many days before/after EDD were your lo's born?
  1. What type of birth did you have (c section etc)

Thank you xx

SparklyPseudonym · 15/07/2009 18:24

DD calls it her 'fairy'. She asked me a few days a go - Mum, do babies come from tummies or fairies? Doesn't sound quiet so rude then....

DD was born 15 days after EDD
Induced birth - Prostin pessary, waters broken, syntocyn but natural delivery.

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2009 18:47

Good luck Georgie! text me when things kick off xx

Bella I'll start shall I? Even though you know......
C - 12 days late - induced 18 hour labour, ventouse, forceps, emergency c-section
J - elective c-section so doesn't count. Probably would have been very late like C (if you remember, I added two weeks to my due date before I knew about c-section)

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2009 18:49

at lady garden and fairy, tends to be b-jingo or v jay jay in our house!

Bella 2 days over due date, although waters broke on due date and unassisted delivery. My advice is stop trying to bring it on and put your feet up. Indulge woman!

3 days after EDD (although had hindwater leak the day after EDD following a sweep)
8 hour labour, 4 hours pushing (2 at home, 2 in hospital), syntocyn, episiotomy, ventouse delivery.

Bella Enjoy your time before LO arrives - you won't ever get this time back again. I know you're anxious to meet her, but try to rest as much as you can.
Georgie Not long now - I was 3-4cm dilated after a sweep and labour started that evening. Hope it's the same for you.
Scully Hope LO's feeding is continuing to improve. Sounds as though you're getting great support from the hospital though. Any names yet??
