Great news for the scan Mollie, and feeling the baby move as well
Enjoy Holland Cricri, hope your cat turns up soon and doesn't delay your departure by long.
I will stamp my feet if you all go glamping and I can't come Maybe I'll go and price the airfares again.....
Are you going to have any reflexology or acupuncture to try and get things moving Georgie? I had reflexology last night and she was focussing on the pressure points that are good for starting labour and to also use throughout labour as well. Nothing has happened as yet, but it can often take more than one treatment. tbh though I'm not in a hurry for baby to arrive yet, maybe by this time next week I will be, but being pregnant another week would be ok. It will be the last time, so I'm trying to enjoy it, and know how tired I'm going to be once the baby arrives, so am trying to be patient and do things with the dd's now.
Hannah Montana movie was good yesterday, I enjoyed it and dd1 loved it. I was going to try and find her a nintendo ds game on ebay as a present from the baby (too expensive new, compared to what dd2 is getting as a present), but now I think I'll buy her the soundtrack from the movie instead. dd2 is getting a new doll, as all the ones she plays with are hand-me-downs from dd1 and looking a bit dodgy now Plus they each have a big sister t-shirt to wear, which they haven't seen yet.
How are you feeling now Sparkly and Bella?

SparklyPseudonym · 03/07/2009 09:09

Morning ladies,
Feeling better today. DD in nursery but I've promised to pick her up early to get some pressies for a bday party she's been invited to later on.
Scully I hadn't even thought of pressies from the baby to DD. That's a lovely idea.
Teehee How did the first night alone go? Hope N was on his best behaviour for his lovely mummy.
Cricri Hope you found him this morning and have a fantastic time in Holland.
Mollie Am over the moon for you but still waiting to see scan pic .
Fruity Let's go Glamping NOW! . Maybe we can do it next summer - although I bet someone will be pregnant or have a very new born by then.
Ei Any news today? Thinking of you.

ButterflEi · 03/07/2009 09:11

morning ladies
mollie i have already said this but whats the harm in saying it again?? YAY for the fab scan and WOW @ feeling the baby move its lovely when you can feel it and noone else can my DH was very frustrated when he couldnt feel it
so it was BFN for me with a CBD this morning so im saying im deffo not preg and should i count my spotting as AF?? i only had one wipe which was red and the rest was dark brown so who knows!! very very light though so maybe im not meant to have a normal cycle?? seeing as how all of mine are totally fucked up (sorry for the language but i am not happy with my body today )
sparkly hope you are feeling better
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 03/07/2009 09:18

Ei Sorry about BFN chick . Only fresh bleeding should be counted as AF. Remember I used to get lots of brown pre-AF spotting? I think mibbes did too? Well, I was told that AF is only counted from red flow. Could it be to do with the HSG? Do they give you any info on what to expect?

ButterflEi · 03/07/2009 09:22

sparkly thanks hun x i have not had what i would call fresh bleeding as it has mostly been brown/blackish colour so old blood??
i dunno...

SparklyPseudonym · 03/07/2009 09:26

Yeh that sounds like that I used to get every month. You haven't got any tummy pain/a temp? Just wondering if you could have a very slight infection after HSG if the spotting isn't something you usually have.

ButterflEi · 03/07/2009 10:56

iv got a little bit of crampy pain but no temp so who knows!!
i will defo mention it to the consultant next week x
hope you are feeling ok
xx ei xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 03/07/2009 11:57

Ei Sorry about the BFN. That sucks. .

Scully Off for accu and pg massage tomorrow. really looking forward to it actually. It's not that I REALLY want to get her out, it's just that it FEELS like it's time for her to come out. Does that make sense? We've got the DD's a climbing frame from DD3. Had a little money left over and thought we'd buy one as I think it might be a sanity saver this summer as we're not off on hols so will be spending a LOT of time at home.

Mollie Lovely news about the scan. Wooooo hooooo. Another successful one under your belt. Am really so pleased. I bet you had a HUGE grin on your face . Is it lovely feeling him/her move? I felt all of mine move fairly early, and they were all wrigglers! Just enjoy lovely lady. You bloody well deserve it.

Fruity Are you around next Tues morn (7th?). If not, then might have to see you after LO arrives .

Terrible Braxton Hicks all last night. 4.30am had v painful back ache, hip ache and 'contraction' like pains. Who knows what's happening. . But (and please don't shoot me), am soooooooo pleased it's cooler today.

Right, better get some grub down DD2's throat and then off to school for her. Then peace and quiet for me for 2 whole hours.....bliss. xx

BellaHarry · 03/07/2009 11:58

ei beautiful name! How are you feeling? Got everything crossed for you!

mollie glad you may have an answer for the bleeding, a low lying placenta can move, my friend's was covering cervix until 38 weeks + then moved well out of the way. So happy for you feeling baby move! I love the little wiggles, going to really miss that part of pg!
cricri did you find the cat? Hope so.

fruity ooh you're evil, I am going to have to chat with DH this evening re that deal! It is lovely!!!

Thank you for you concern ladies, my back is better today, just twitchy and clunky if that makes sense? [Hmm] will mention to mw at 2:30 anyway. Had a long swim this morning, felt amazing to be weightless and back was of no concern in the water! I really do want a water birth! Fingers crossed as there is only 1 pool at Epsom!

BellaHarry · 03/07/2009 12:02

ei missed you message, sorry about BFN x

SparklyPseudonym · 03/07/2009 12:24

Georgie That all sounds very promising. I had an induced labour with DD so didn't experience early labour but I know my sister had a very similar start to what you're having now.
Ei Did you do temp this am? Forgot to ask before.
Bella Glad back is better.

BellaHarry · 03/07/2009 15:08

MW had a real root around today..ouch! baby is 'right in the brim' she says, then writes 3/5 on notes..well she's been there for some 6 weeks already! She reckons my back pain sounded like sciatic pain and just said rest and maybe physio if it comes back. (well done Georgie; think you mentioned that)

What's your advice on having a group B strep test done privately? Apparantly I was clear at 10 weeks when they tested but as I'm sure you're aware it can come and go??

Georgie hope baby's on the move for you hun! Sounds good x

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 03/07/2009 18:49

I win the award for worst mother..... Poor old Libby has watched television ALL afternoon. I think the child's eyes might start bleeding soon! Just having one of those, 'can't be bothered to do anything, am too big and fat to even attempt to play with my child'. . Moo been over at a friends for tea. Ah well, tomorrow is another day. And endless TV watching never did me any harm

Few BH's for me this arvo. Nothing significant.Could MURDER a HUGE galss of Pimms and lemonade and a Marlboro Light......ahhhh, the taste of summer!!!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Quiet one for us. Or maybe not.....

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 03/07/2009 18:54

Sparkly Forgot to say, glad you're feeling better. Hope dodgy tum stays away now.

Cricri Did the cat turn up? Hope so. Have fabby time in Holland.

TeeHee How's it feel flying solo? Sod all the chores. Just get through the day, get N down and enjoy some 'me time'.

teeheelaydee · 03/07/2009 19:58

Evening all

Well, I think I've had the worst day with N for weeks! Typical. It's been really muggy and hot here today and I think it affected him as it was like having a newborn again! the worst bits were when DP would've been at work anyway. Finally about 3:30 he fell asleep in my arms and I put my feet up and watched Waking the Dead from earlier in the week - I figured if he's going to act like a newborn I would relive those days too! Anyway he was in bed by 7 so things improved.

Bella I considered the Strep B privately as had a friend who lost a baby that way but once I looked into I decided the test was too unpredictable and the risks so low I didn't do it.

Ei Boo hiss for the BFN It is so horrible to be so pissed off with you own body and have very little control.

Sparkly Glad you're feeling better. How are you managing in this heat?

Georgie Sounds like it won't be too long and you will be put out of your misery, after suffering some worse misery! I swear N is going to be a TV addict, as soon as I put him near it he is happy, but if it means I can eat and pee and wash - who cares?

Hello to anyone I've missed but brain has now gone on strike and will only accept episodes on Greys Anatomy and an ice cream.

scully · 04/07/2009 03:07

Don't worry Georgie, I'm in the worst mother category with you
dd's were really getting on my nerves by yesterday afternoon, I was tired and they were arguing so I became shouty mummy dh home today so feeling better and have someone to share it with. Have suggested to him that if baby hasn't arrived by next Friday that he might need to take the day off, as I'm over it by the end of the week
Sorry to hear about the bfn Ei, must be so frustrating for you, not knowing what your body is doing.
Heading back down to the Gold Coast this afternoon, not staying down there though. dh bought a surfboard on Ebay yesterday , probably something else that will sit in the garage unused but it was only $61 so I can cope with that better than the $1k he spent on a kayak that has been used 3 days this year & he wonders why I get the shits when he doesn't want to spend $600 on a dishwasher that will get used twice a day
Have a nice weekend everyone

BellaHarry · 04/07/2009 09:47

georgie I played alone most of my childhood, mummy's weren't for playing with where I came from. Only served to give me a fantastic imagination, no complaints here.

teehee thanks for that advice, hope N has a better day today, not too hot.

mibbes · 04/07/2009 21:38

Mollie am so so pleased that scan went so well, you really deserve it - you sound so happy

Fruity where are you ? Shopping... ?! You make me laugh because you are worse than me at spending !!

Lola how was your week ?

Teehee good on you flying solo - I hope you have a big glass of wine in your hand by now

Ei so sorry about BFN - how rubbish - what is happening today, anything ?

Sparkly hope you are feeling better.

scully LOL at 'getting the shits' is that an Aussie expression as it means 'the runs' where I'm from ! IKWYM about men and their priorities spending - there is just no logic to them arrgh !

Georgie where are you....? am getting excited !

scully · 04/07/2009 23:16

Ha ha Mibbes, it must be an Australian thing, means getting very cross
Thinking of going here today, maybe walking around in a crowd, follwed by some Greek food, might help
Think I'll just take dd1 with me though, don't think I have the energy to deal with them together, without dh....
You have a great attitude for a first time mum Teehee, anything that gives you a few moments to yourself is ok I think I think tv is only a problem if the spend days in front of it at a time
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 05/07/2009 09:33

Morning one and all. Well, the accupuncture and 'massage' was a total waste of time and £70. Bit annoyed actually. Feel quite 'battered' and sore today where she put the needles in and my back is sore too.

Wish I'd just booked for a preg massage. Well, that'll learn me for trying to mess with Mother Nature . Loads of BH again last night and more weird 'contraction' like pains.

DH said he'd take me and DD2 out for lunch today. Think I will take him up on his kind offer .

Scully Have a lovely day. I'm afraid I'd stamp my hoof and INSIST on a dishwasher. Surely it's a basic human neccessity?!

Mibbes Hello love. How's E? Tell us some of his milestones. Is he applying for college yet?! It's such a lovely age and they just seem to be so 'grown up' compared to new borns.

Bella Thanks for the vote of confidence. And yep, a great imagination is a bonus!

Better go and shower. See you all tomorrow. xxx

Molliemooma · 05/07/2009 11:14

TeeHee I would love to take up the offer but I don't think I'd fit my cankles on the train I can't believe how swollen I've become since it got hot Sorry to hear N had a bad day, but it was very hot poor thing. Hope it got better over the weekend, you still sound very chilled out though
EI BFN What on earth is going on with your body at the moment? Anymore spotting? Anymore testing?
Cricri Hope the cat returned safely and your having a lovely time in Holland
Scully Is your DD still alive? I'd sell the kayak if I was you without DH knowing, he'll never miss it and then you can get your dishwasher
Georgie Sorry to hear your therapy wasn't as relaxing as it could have been and hasn't had the desired effect. Sounds as if things are happening, just taking a little time, patience dear child
Bella Glad the back is better
Fruity Anymore links for amazing places we can meet up
Sparkly Hope you have had a good weekend?
Lola How are you sweet?

The rash I mentioned a while back has been coming and going, think it might be connected to the heat, went to a family bbq yesterday, I was stood around quite a bit so cankles were on full alert and feet looked like they were gonna bust out of my shoes far too early for all this I feel I was covered in the rash yesterday hands, feet and all up my legs, and it was so itchy I wanted to rip my skin off
I got some stuff from the Chemist who said it was suitable when pg, although "google" doesn't! Never mind it will be worth it in the end I'm still smiling

scully · 05/07/2009 12:04

Sounds like it's all heat related Mollie, all the more reason to sit somewhere cool and put your feet up as often as possible
Greek festival was good, ate some yummy food and dd1 was very good, they are both are, separately
I'm surprisingly not too tired either, managed to talk dh into us all going to the Esplanade for a walk this afternoon, and the dd's took their bikes. First time dd2 has properly ridden hers and she was so proud of herself managed to peddle most of the time Of course we forgot to take the camera though, idiot parents
Have a mw checkup tomorrow morning, fingers crossed it is head down and behaving.
Pity your therapy wasn't that enjoyable Georgie. You often need more than 1 treatment in a certain period for it to be effective, though. I'm sure this is your week to pop
Hi to everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend

mibbes · 05/07/2009 12:05

Georgie boo you are still here - no offense meant Sounds like you are one of those who has a long slow start then all of a sudden a baby will pop out - maybe by tea time ?...so enjoy lunch out, it may be your last for a while ! I'll be keeping a close eye on here just in case

scully I second selling the kayak and buying a dishwasher - a cunning plan indeed

Mollie good on you still smiling on through those nasty PG ailments - I was lucky that we had a crappy summer last year while I was PG. The good news is that at least when you are 'proper' PG with a big bump and feel like the side of a house the weather will be cool :-) Dec babies ROCK !! PLUS when bubba arrives you won't mind spending the first few weeks indoors feeding/settling as it is the middle of winter, and by the time summer comes around your little one will be good to sit out in the sun too (albeit in the shade and plastered in factor 50 !) I have to say I have found a Dec baby very well timed

As for progress, DS has 2 bottom teeth (CUTE!), rolls over all the time (including off the bed once ) and attempts a 'face on the carpet catterpillar' crawl !! He is now on 3 solid meals and 3 milk feeds (2 breast, 1 bottle at bedtime), he sleeps through the night (wooohoooo !) although that has only been for the last 4 weeks - I am like a new woman with my full night's sleep again !!! He has started saying DA DA DA (godammit why can't the first sounds they make sound more like 'mummy' !) and he is just generally a wee treasure. He is happy to go to anyone so life is made very easy for me . I'm sure the 'clingy' phase will come as a shock to me but I'll just enjoy this laid back phase for now .

teeheelaydee · 05/07/2009 19:59

Aaah Mibbes that all sounds so lovely, I can't wait but on the other hand I want it all to slow down. Glad (sorry) that E has only just started going through the night as loads of people keep asking me if N is! Seriously- and he is only 12 weeks. Makes me stress that he should be even though I know he is too little and besides he only wakes for a feed at about 3am so am only up for about 20-30 mins.

Relieved he fell of the bed and survived unscathed as am sure something like that will happen. Today's 'Mummy Mess up' was knocking his head on the handle of the car seat as I took him out - he let me know he wasn't impressed

As you can see this may be a long one as am fairly starved of adult conversation, apart from the cats of course!

Scully Love the idea of selling the kayak - see how long it will take him to notice and use the cash to buy a dishwasher, which frankly not having is grounds for divorce if you ask me. I am also idiot parent - I have written nothing down and in fact have no clue when his 'first' smile was as spent the first few not being sure it was a smile!

Mollie Never too early to feel pregnant my love! You have my sympathy which is a good job as you won't get much from anyone else until you look huge and even then it's in short supply. Whilst I'm glad to have had my sleepless nights in the summer, by the time N is Evan's age and into doing more it will be winter so I can see the attraction on a winter baby.

Georgie What a letdown - maybe a bit too much faith in a bunch of needles? Bet that sex option is not looking so shabby now!

Am knackered now so will have to go. Spent the day at my Dad's and Noah was a happy happy boy so they got to see lots of smiles.

HerNameWasLola · 06/07/2009 08:31

Morning lovely ladies, sorry for the lack of posting but more on that in a minute, much more important to catch up with you all

Ei LOVE the new name, but so sorry about the bfn I may have asked you this before, but have you ever taken your charts along for your consultant to look at? They're pretty spiky aren't they, maybe they'd monitor your hormone levels for a cycle to see what's going on? Sending lots of love xx

Mollie welcome to the cankles club! It sucks!! I'm afraid you've made entry even sooner than I did, mine were from 20wks, but maybe it has more to do with the weather than how pg you are... Hopefully cooler this week so we'll see! I can get mine to go down if I keep my feet up for long enough and use ice packs, it's having time to do it, and keeping them down that's the trick.... Ah well, just one more joyous symptom to add to the list

Georgie what to say... Tedwood is being a little pickle! I hope the cooler weather heps you too. Grr at acupuncturist making you sore, that's not what it's all about Am trying to decide when to start seeing mine again, will try to ring her tonight. Problem is it's all £££ isn't it? Has your move been delayed enough to allow for Tedwood being late? Or are we just not going to go there?

Scully we've only had a d/w for a year, since we moved, and I honestly have no idea how we coped before. And we don't have 2 children! The others are right, it's a basic human necessity () Kayaks however... Glad you're coping with the latter stages of pg so well, seems only fair when you had such a shity time earlier on. Mind you, so did Georgie*... Bet you're both glad you don't ever have to go through this again

Mibbes I can't believe E is so grown up! A proper little boy! Will have a lurk on fb at some point for new photos. Can't wait to meet him when we go glamping

Fruity I think you may have surpassed yourself with the glamping link, beyond fab! When shall we go? Today? Glad you're enjoying your new chairs

Sparkly at being ill. Hope you're feeling better now? Glad you were able to take some time to rest, must be in short supply with DD around. Frankly, I can't imagine how different being pg when you already have a LO must be... scary thought...

Cricri at Holland! How come? Were you visiting friends or just having a break? Either way, I hope you had a lovely time. Am taking the fact that you haven't posted over the weekend as a promising sign that the cat's out of the doghouse (geddit?? ) and that you made your connection ok Photos please!

Teehee glad you made it through your first solo weekend more or less unscathed! When is DP's first solo weekend?? Sounds to me like he owes you some pampering Glad you and N had a good time at your dad's.

Bella at tanned bump. Mine's not too bad but I never seem to have time at the moment to sit in the garden, and frankly lately it's been too hot here to do that anyway, I worry about boil-in-the-bag-baby! (And I'll leave you to decide whether the 'bag' is amniotic, or me!) Hope sciatic nerve behaving now, have you tried sitting on a gym ball to help ease it?

As for me, frankly it's all getting a bit much and I'm not sure I'm really coping After TT on wed (fab, but wouldn't recomment it at 32wks pg, my feet were so swollen I could barely walk...) we didn't get home til 2am, although thankfully I wasn't working til 2pm, but I had to get a message to the Judge to apologise for the fact I was wearing flip flops in court as my feet were so swollen I still couldn't get my shoes on Luckily the Judge in question is LOVELY, so it was fine. At the end of the hearing (after client had gone) it went like this:
"Miss F?"
"Yes your honour?"
"I think it might be time to hang up that wig for a bit"
"It's certainly getting that way your honour"
Though part of me felt as though I was getting a note from my mum - if the Judge says it's time for me to stop work it must be ok mustn't it?!? Thing is, he didn't know I'd been to Wembley til 2am the previous day... Problem is, nothing I do seems to make me any less tired, I get up as exhausted as I went to sleep cos I'm so uncomfortable and up so many times in the night... I'm going to work this week, but I really don't know about next week... We really need the money, but I'm just not sure I can do it Feel like such a wimp, most barristers seem to work til at least 37 weeks - a friend of mine told me about a woman in her chambers whose waters broke while she was in court addressing the judge! Apparently the Judge was very old fashioned and she knew he'd be horrified, so she just ignored it and carried on!!!! Must have been nice for someone to have cleared up! And what a healthy work life balance I have no intention of doing that, but stopping at 33 weeks seems very early... Aaaarghhhhh... I don't know what to do..... Anyway. Speaking of which, I'd better go to work. 2 wife beaters for the price of one today - defending the first one and prosecuting the second! Lucky me!

Sorry for mammoth post, love to all xx
