ahhh, apparently reconstituted leather cannot be sold as "leather". I think it just means bits of leather stuck together with other fibres or something

teeheelaydee · 01/07/2009 14:45

Mrs Fruity sounds lovely - will she adopt me? Not only does mine not buy me furniture she says things like "Oh Noah, has Mummy made you all hot" - This is JUST after he finished feeding and I should imagine that sucking milk from a boob is pretty hot work at the best of times let alone when it's 30 degrees!

Ei I LOVE Leo - we had it on our list and Alfie actually. So glad that you are feeling OK about the new arrival, although I always found pregnant friends more upsetting than when they actually had their babies. Haven't looked at your chart as don't get them- sorry. Sounds weird though - Bloody bodies.

This Morning DP cycles to and from work EVERY day and I managed to get pregnant 4 times in just over a year - what a load of crap!

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 14:51

Somebody stop me!
I've just bought this I'm going to need it though aren't I? Plus it'll last for ages and it's cost per use right?

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 15:23

LOL Fruity. You have a spending bug!! I always struggled to get DD in and out of the STOKKE because she had such a fat tummy. They look fab though .
Teehee Don't you just love completely pointless comments. They're worse when they come from the MIL.
Bella If you ahem straddle sit reverse on a lounger (as in back facing the sun) and have something to read infront of you then your underside should tan quite nicely. Not sure about tanning the back of the legs though unless there's hours of standing involved.
Ei Prob best you don't have tests with you or you'd have done a million by now. All this talk of testing is making me want to have a go...I think I'd only just gotten over my addiction too.

Just picked DD up from school. It's bloody boiling. Hope they have air con on full wack in cinema or I'll be baking eating my extra large popcorn.

mibbes · 01/07/2009 16:51

Fruity you are an absolute shocker !! Lovely high chair though, I really faniced it - ended up being sensible and getting a simple wooden one from Mothercare

Sparkly enjoy the movie. I also love Leo and also Leon. What about Lucas if you fancy an 'L' name ? Or instead of Leo how about Lin !! If you can't use the name Leo then you could make up for it by getting a Lin and Leo bag

Lola I knew you had TT on Wed, I must've thought today was Thu - honestly every day is just another day on mat leave , no work just pram walks and sunbathing

teehee what a silly thing to say - don't you just love other people's opinions about how to look after your baby !

Bella am very impressed with a tanned bump - mine was well under cover as had stretchmarks from 30 weeks , thankfully they never really got bad due to the sheer volume of expensive lotions and potions I slathered the bump in !! Ahhh I miss my bump !

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 01/07/2009 17:05

I'm still here. Cankles about to explode and everything else melting . Am also going to seriously lose my temper with the next school mum that 'kindly' informs me how big I am . I know I'm fucking big, I'm pregnant. I know you were NEVER this big .

Had to sleep with 2 wet towels over me last night. But I nabbed the last fan in B&Q today so hopefully tonight I will get some kip.

10 days and counting for me.....

I now it'll be worth it in the end, but seriously guys, could you just do some type of magic dance to persuade her to come out. I am sooooooooo ready. Stick a fork in me, I'm done!!!!

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 20:54

OMG I have had the perfect meet-up idea!

I wanna go here!!

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 20:55

Aww Beorgie you poor thing Won't be long now

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 20:55

I obviously meant Georgie

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 21:11

Check out this place for the perfect honeymoon!

scully · 02/07/2009 00:36

Poor Georgie, hope it's not too hot for you today Or anyone else suffering as well.
I remember taking dd1 to the movies in the school holidays in January, just for the air conditioning, morning sickness and humidity didn't suit me
Physio gave me splints for me wrists yesterday and a few exercises to try, could notice a difference wearing the splints last night so hopefully they will continue to help. Saw my chiropractor last night as well, I love going for the massage beforehand as much as the treatment
Lovely high chair Fruity, you will use it for your mindees as well won't you? This is the one we had for dd1 (who is now 7). It made the journey to Brisbane and is in our roof waiting to be used for dc3 www.johnlewis.com/230561341/Product.aspx
Love the camping site, if you don't have to set up and cart everything with you, how great would that be. As for Goa, I'm sold on that as well, actually you could show me any holiday website and I'd be enthusiastic, I do get sad looking at my dusty unused backpack
Good luck with the testing Ei
Should get up and get dinner started, before taking dd2 to nursery and dd1 to the Hannah Montana movie. That would mean me getting up out of the chair though

BellaHarry · 02/07/2009 08:00

sparkly thanks for that advice, shall give it a go later..that is if my back loosens up. How funny; I can tell you've tried it yourself!?

fruity I'd be in so much trouble if I bought that; I had my heart set on the dark wood one to match our dinning set, fell in love with it at baby show! By the way, what a cute camping idea!

Mibbes I get embarrassed each time I see the mw as they always comment on my tanned bump, makes me feel rather vain (which I am if you consider my concern about uneven tanning)

Girls I'd appreciate some adcice; last night my lower back and hips started hurting, not too bad, went to bed and spent the night tossing and turning dreaming about pain! Then woke at 4 for a wee and was in excrutiatin pain especially when lifting my feet to climb the 3 stairs to toilet! DH had to almost carry me! Woke gain at 7 and still sore but can walk. Is this normal? If so what could it be? Or should I call GP? I'm reluctant to as I have mw apt tommorrow afternoon anyway? What is your honest opinion/ advice? Thank you x x x

ButterflEi · 02/07/2009 09:27

morning ladies
i decided to name chage again whaddya all think??

teeheelaydee · 02/07/2009 09:31

Ahh *ButterfEi - I love it - it's all girly and pretty. You look lovely.

Can't believe it - want to feed Noah before we go out to the cinema and for once he is fast asleep - pesky babies!

Love the camping idea Fruity.

ButterflEi · 02/07/2009 14:43

thanx teehee
hope all is well im bored in work on my lunch a bit of a late one today so ive had a chicken butty and ive now got a packet of crisps and a choccy bar with a cuppa sod the diet i may be eating for two afterall bullshit

xx ei xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 02/07/2009 18:46

Day 8 of Cankle watch...........

Ei Love the name change. Give us some choccy please!

Fruity LOVE LOVE LOVE the chairs. And OMG I want to go camping at that place. NEVER thought I'd want to go camping, but hey, that looks bloody ace. When can we go?!

Bella Sounds as if you might have caught your sciatic nerve. Not a doc, but when mine goes it's really painful. Is it still hurting you? Try warm bath with lavender oil or book in for a massage/reflexology. Other than that, you might just have to grin and bear it as it's another 'perk' of being pg.

Scully How was Hannah M movie? Took the DD's to see it a couple of months ago and thought it was actually one of the better ones out there. NOTHING can top the hideousness that was the Bratz movie. Bluergh.

Lola Yep, I'm pretty certain that Scully will pip me at the post . She'll just come on one day and announce LO's arrival! Whilst I of course will STILL be whining about my cankles . What cake did you get this week at NCT?! And did you turn down that job? How's the 'floater' going (snort!).

Sparkly Are you melting too in this heat? How was the cinema and popcorn fest?

TeeHee Lovely comments from your mum. Where do they get them fron? Am sure that my mum will come up with some corkers this time. What did you see at the movies? Was this one of the Big Scream mornings?

Mollie Just managed to catch the tail end of the fiasco with your SIL. WTF was that all about? Talk about sensitive. And anyway, what the hell are they doing snooping on your conversations? How dare they. That's an invasion of privacy. And for god's sake, it's not as if you called her a frigging daft cow who doesn't have an ounce of compassion on her body and thinks it fine and dandy to completely shit on family members from a very high height. But hey, we can't all be as perfect as her .

teeheelaydee · 02/07/2009 19:36

Georgie Summed up feelings about Mollie's SIL perfectly - Moll Hope they haven't scared you away. How was the scan?

Well, DP has left the building so just me and the little one until Tuesday. So far so good, although he was a bit too tired to feed well at bedtime, here's hoping he still sleeps until 10ish.

Went to see Sunshine Cleaning this morning - very good - feel good film without being schmultzy. Yes it was a Big Scream and went really well. Noah watched a bit of film and then went to sleep and then woke up near the end for lunch, while Mummy got to enjoy the film and drink her latte. Brilliant idea in this heat too - thank goodness for air con.

Oh dear, just heard dummy fall out on monitor- this is the crunch, is he asleep enough or am I going upstairs for the third time.

Lola Didn't know you'd started NCT, how's it going?

Still got washing to get in and batteries to change in the bouncy chair and I just can't be arsed. I need a maid! Any offers?

teeheelaydee · 02/07/2009 19:40

Just been having a closer look at Fruity's Glamping find - I want to go - it looks marvellous - Camping with Cath Kidson by the look of it!

SparklyPseudonym · 02/07/2009 20:37

Evening ladies,
I'm only just getting up. Had lots of pains last night and then a very upset tum. Haven't had any energy today but feeling slightly better now.
Teehee Were you sad to see DP go? Hope he starts sleeping through this week.
Georgie Bloody cankles. You'll soon have your ankles back though love. Cinema was good. DD enjoyed the film (but found parts of it a bit scary).
Ei Love the new name . You're always coming up with lovely new ones. I had a quick think and managed eiball. LOL.
Mibbes Also have a friend with a Luca (too similar to Lucas) so will have to get the bag.

Am going to watch some crappy tv before going back to bed. Really hoping I can find some energy this weekend.

FruitynNutty · 02/07/2009 20:59

Bella it's reduced!!!! gwaaaaan, it'd look stunning with your dining table Look, walnut version only £120 INCLUDING Baby set!!
BTW I'd ask the midwife tomorrow afternoon about the pain. Probably is just sciatic nerve like Georgie said. I hope it's not SPD, I've heard that can be awful

Scully Hope you enjoyed Hannah Montana . Unfortunately I get the joys of Transformers everyday (would be about 6 times a day if C had his way )

Georgie You're determined to get this baby out aren't you! I hope she co-operates for you
Be nice to see you before D-day. You're not around in the morning (Fri) are you? I've got to hang around all morning for postman, you could pop in for a cuppa and then head off to Mamas and Papas?

Teehee I'd love to do one of those baby cinema thingies. Not sure I can handle all the mindees in there though! Perhaps there's a weekend one.
I'm sure you'll be fine on your own. I'd LOVE it!

Sparkly Hope you're feeling better soon xx

So, when are we doing this Glamping then? Just imagine. Ei's DD, Sparkly's DD, Georgie's DDs, My DS, Emmsy's brood!, and all the Emmsy thread babies. They'd all have so much fun playing together. It's in North Yorks so fairly easy for all of us to get to? I reckon it's something we should definitely consider for the not too distant future when all the babies are here?

Molliemooma · 02/07/2009 21:06

Hello ladies, all went well at the scan today Baby was jumping round like a mad thing kept turning onto his tummy! We did ask if they could see the flavour but they said they couldn't tell at this stage and he kept turning anyway! Apparently I have a low lying placenta currently over cervix which could be the cause of the bleeding, also saw a little black circle on placenta which they said would cause a loss, they didn't explain what it was but weren't worried, the sonographer got the consultant to come and check too so felt miles better after that! Felt baby move for the first time last night and again just now, amazing!
Thank you for the supportive comments re SIL, obviously I cant comment on what's happening but needless to say

Fruity Loved the glamping link, that's my kinda style camping definately
Georgie Can I join the cankles club only bloody 16 wks and I have cankles I'm hoping it's just the hot weather!
Sparkly So glad you are feeling better today
Butterflei Loving the new name, let's hope it's new name new baby for you
Bella How is the back?
TeeHee Good luck with finding a maid, although if you pay me a £1000 a day and lots of N cuddles I might consider it

cricri · 02/07/2009 21:12

Sparkly Hope you feel better soon
Bella Hope your pain has eased too.
Teehee Glad you enjoyed the film and that Noah was good. I still haven't been along to the mum and baby screening at our local cinema - it clashed with baby swimming until now when we've changed dates so I've got no excuse now. Better go before E starts crawling!
Fruity That glamping place sounds fab, I'm up for that!
Ei Love the new name
Georgie Sorry you're still here IYSWIM as I'm sure you'd rather not be, but lovely to have you with us nonetheless. LOL at your comment about Mollie's SIL - spot on!
Mollie Hope your scan went OK today - I've been thinking about you.
On a totally different subject - bloody cats! We're going to Holland for the weekend tomorrow and we were meant to take our cat to the cattery this evening for 6pm. He's gone and disappeared and I haven't seen him since 4pm. We're now going to have to take him in the morning, for 9am when the cattery opens, which means that we're going to miss our booked shuttle crossing. Hopefully we can catch a later one and we won't have to wait too long! I'm also hoping the cat is OK as it's unusual for him to disappear this long - the last time it happened he got himself shut in sombody's shed and was missing for 48 hours Hopefully he just sensed something was up and will be back soon.
Hope everybody else is ok!

cricri · 02/07/2009 21:14

X-posts Mollie - so pleased everything went well and that you saw your LO and were reassured by the consultant. I'm so pleased for you
Forgot to say good luck to Teehee flying solo this weekend, hope all goes well for you and that Noah is a good boy.

FruitynNutty · 02/07/2009 21:15

Mollie Sooooo Pleased all went well with the scan And WOW you're feeling movement! Such a wonderful feeling I'm not very "in tune" with my body though because I didn't feel anything until about 22 weeks I think Bella felt movements early too

Any scan pics??????

teeheelaydee · 02/07/2009 21:54

Fruity I didn't feel anything until 19 weeks either and that was mainly because I was ill and so laying in bed for a week. So Mollie you must have an active one, which has got to be a good thing.

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT news that all is well - enjoy, this is really happening you know.

p.s - I can offer you a tenner a day and as many N cuddles as you like (he will even throw in plenty of smiles too!)
