morning ladies
lola sorry you are feeling poo have you asked your MW to check your iron levels?? i know that was the reason for my super-tiredness and general poo feeling while preg with DD and i also stopped work at 33 weeks due to the low iron and also bad back as she was rather weighty esp as i had over 2litres extra waters dont worry about it this is the time for relaxing
georgie you not had that baby yet?? bet you are sick of hearing that eh?!! hope you are well
hope everyone else is ok
no news from me still spotting (day 9 now) BFN yesterday so i know i am definitely not preg i am thinking it may be an infection from the HSG as i now have crampy pains oh i dont know...maybe my body has caught up with my brain and is perpetually taking the piss!!

FruitynNutty · 06/07/2009 21:45

oooh , it feels like I haven't been here for ages...........................................
It was last Thursday
I'd better do some catching up then.....

teehee Have you survived your weekend alone? I told you it wouldn't be so bad
Whaddya mean Noah isn't sleeping through the night
No, seriously, I think I'm just very lucky with my boys. They just love their sleep (sorry )
Scully I love the Big Sister t-shirt idea. I bought C a Big Brother T-shirt from No Added Sugar but I've realised that it looks like we're fans of the tv show so I rarely put him in it
Sparkly Yes, definitely go Glamping next summer! Ei will hopefully have had her baby by then or she might just be very heavily pregnant! Won't stop you will it Ei? - Love the new name btw
Ei I'm so sorry about the bfn I agree with Lola (I think) that you should take your charts to a consultant. How's the bleeding now?
Georgie Looking forward to tomorrow, I'm hoping you don't go into labour overnight because I really wanna see your cankles!
Shame about the acupuncture
Bella What did DH say about the fantastic deal on the Tripp Trapp?
How's the back now?
Mibbes 2 teeth!!! That's so cute! I hope he doesn't learn to bite you now
IME, the clingy phase begins at around 9/10 months - it's not fun so enjoy his independence while it lasts!
Lola TT sounded exhausting! Still very though.
How do-able is it to give up work now? about the woman who's waters broke! That's hardcore that is!

Nothing much from me, just admiring my new baby bag I have to say it's perfect in every way which is more than I can say for my newborns

Loving the new highchair too. Baby mindee uses it at the moment.

I went to Birmingham with my Mum on Saturday to see a fantastic photographer www.louisetugwell.co.uk/weddings_portfolio.html She's lovely. I had a look at some of her albums which are beautifully made

All this wedding malarky seems to be coming together slowly but surely Still loads to do though and only 10.5 weeks to go [eeeek!]

cricri · 06/07/2009 22:46

Just a quick post from me to say that we're back safely from Holland and that the cat did turn up, although I made the mistake of letting him out again early on Friday morning (I felt sorry for him as he was going to be shut up all weekend and I had locked the cat flap so he couldn't go out again) but he didn't come back until 8.45am - just in time to go to the cattery! DH was not amused...
Anyway, we had a fab time in Holland, the weather was great and we spent all of Saturday afternoon and evening at the beach. They have these great beach cafes where you can just sit and relax and watch the world go by on the promenade and on the beach. All with their own atmosphere and food. So cool - shame we have nothing similar over here. In answer to Lola's question, we lived in Holland for a year so we went back to visit friends and show off Elise Photos on FB very soon!
I'll try to catch up quickly -
Ei Sorry to hear about BFN and all the spotting Really hope you haven't got an infection. When is your next consultant appt?
Mollie Sorry that you're suffering already with cankles. Put your feet up and relax
Lola Same for you - the judge has spoken so stop working! Seriously, put your feet up and take it easy. You won't get this time back again so enjoy your last few weeks before baby arrives and sod the money.
Mibbes This is such a lovely age isn't it? I'm with you on the winter babies - it's so nice that they're this age during the summer. I'm hoping though that Elise got all her clinginess over and done with in her first 5 months and that she doesn't have another clingy phase - wishful thinking maybe
Fruity Only 10.5 weeks to go, wow, that will go quickly. Sounds as though you've got everything under control though and that it's all coming together.
Teehee Glad you survived DP being away, it sounds as though you've been coping admirably on your own
No news from Georgie and Scully - hopefully that means things are happening!

scully · 07/07/2009 01:12

Sorry to disappoint, but no news from down here Had a m/w checkup yesterday, baby's hb and my bp all ok, she had a feel and said it's still head down but right down into the pelvis. Did also say that the bump is all baby, could have told her that for free, there is no room left in the inn, I'm sure of that
I see the consultant next Tues and decide from there how overdue they will let me, if the baby is still happy inside. Really don't want to be induced if I don't have to be, so hopefully they'll give me until 41wks.
Holland sounds great Cricri
I agree with the winter babies bit, dd2 was a Dec UK baby and by May was a lovely age to take on the trips we did before leaving the UK in Oct.
Good that the bag is living up to expectations Fruity, and the highchair too 10wks will fly, until the wedding, wow, that is close.
Lola, you must see some interesting characters in your job But if the judge said it's time, then maybe you should listen Know what you mean though, it is early to just be sitting around, I know I would have gotten very bored finishing work that early.
Wonder what is going on with you Ei Are they due to do any other tests?
10.10am here and trying to work out what to do with the dd's today, as it's overcast and not that nice outside, so the park/backyard isn't an option. Think they will annoy me and each other if we stay home all day, but I am trying not to go too far from home, just in case......in fact dd1 is already pushing her luck, gotta love 7yr olds and their attitude

BellaHarry · 07/07/2009 09:01

Lola oh hun I'd say stop work now, that convo with the judge sounded great! What an incentive to go. Sometimes you need someone else to recognise that you're ready to stop before you can really admit that there's no point being a martyr, no one thanks you for it, I found that as long as I was working people just thought 'oh she can cope' and piled on just as much stress and work as before. When I finnally decided to go (early) I had a similar conversation to you and judge with deputy head and it just made me realise it was time and no one would think any less of me for going. As it happened when the head announced I was leaving to our staff everyone broke in to a round of applause and kept saying 'about time'...such a relief and 'so' the right thing to do; I feel so much better now and the school's still standing (all be it with 7 cases of swine flu). Also you can get the belly out in the garden then

Fruity Trip Trap is a no go as DH says still expensive and not necessary yet and also as the chair lasts in to child hood he said we'd only need to buy another in a couple of years for DC2 (men...so practical!) You got any plans I can crash this week? Fancy popping to mine for a cuppa? weather could be good on Thur, kids in garden (I have a paddling pool!)Let me know x

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 07/07/2009 15:20

Don't get excited ladies. Still here.....

Have booked another reflexology session on Thursday though. And poor old DH has been instructed that it's time to 'man up' and 'take one for the team' on Friday night if there's nowt happened by then . Am sure he'll be running round the bedroom screaming, 'my eyes, my eyes' when he cops a load of me trying to look sexy . Poor bloke. Could scar him for life. Although not as much as I could scar him for life if he doesn't perform. No pressure then .

He's taken Friday off work, so it's pineapple, curry, long walk, bounce on the Swiss ball, warm bath with Clary Sage and sex. If that doesn't work, then I officially throw the towel in!

Off to make some lip gloss with the girls. it's a kit that DD1 got for her birthday. Results could be interesting.

Will check back later with a not so 'me, me, me' post. xxxxx

BellaHarry · 07/07/2009 17:04

they've changed mn again. Think it's better this time, don't need my glasses; seems to be bigger!??

Molliemooma · 07/07/2009 18:37

Lola Stop right now young lady, like the others said you should seriously think about giving up work asap, definately don't like the idea of your waters breaking in court and having to carry on Have you come to any decisions yet?
EI Have you booked a GP appt yet to get your spotting checked out? You don't want an infection to affect your chances, please go x
Georgie Getting bored now . . . .
Bella MN looks exactly the same to me??
Fruity Glad the wedding plans are coming together, more excuses to shop
Sparkly Hope you are resting
CriCri Glad you had a lovely holiday, will look out for the photo's on FB
TeeHee So pleased you survived the weekend

Got my rash checked out at the doctors today, she thinks its heat related but wanted to rule out the pg/bile linked one so having some bloods done Monday. Then she started telling me all about how I can't have sex with a low lying placenta, obviously I was gutted poor DH was, he just sighed heavily when I told him and said "Well whatever is best for baby"

BellaHarry · 07/07/2009 18:46

Mollie hee hee..maybe I had my glasses on after all

I got a bit bored a half hour ago and thought I'd rub a bit of Clary Sage into my belly; got a major shock as started having massive bh and back ache...that taught me! lol eased off now but boy did I sweat! imagine if there was something that magic that brought on labour as and when you wanted it...bet a few girlies in here (myself included) would want a bit!

evening to all you lovelies, have a nice, relaxing evening x

teeheelaydee · 07/07/2009 19:06

I am still here - just a quickie. DP back tonight at some point, not til after 11 though so may as well be tomorrow. I'm knackered but feel I've achieved a real milestone.

Anyway just wanted to say Lola I think it's pretty clear that it's time to stop work and who cares what others do. If you feel it's time then stop. IMO the benefits you will gain will far outweigh the loss of cash. Enjoy it - read, watch old movies, potter around the house and garden and get ready for LO's arrival. I promise you won't regret taking that time to enjoy yourself (oh and napping of course is very important)

Mollie Tell DH he got his fair share with all this TTC business so he'll just have to have the memory of that for a while!

Must eat - night night!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 07/07/2009 20:41

Bella I do hope you're not rubbing NEAT Clary Sage into your tummy? Slapped wrist if you are. You must dilute it with a base oil or put 10-15 drops in a bath.

TeeHee Woooo hooo. You made it through hon. Now goa nd book your self a pedi or massage and bugger of for a few hours whilst DH looks after N .

Lola Second what everyone else says. Make the most of the only mat leave you will EVER have on your own. As frankie said, RELAX!!! We're moving on 22nd JUly, so really hope Tedwood out by then. There's (hopefully) enough of a gap to factor in any late arrival.

Fruity Really lovely to see you and the boys today. You're looking tippity top missus. And LOVE the bag. It's a winner!

Mollie Yeah, I'm bored too love . Glad the rash not a nasty one. And just tell DH that there's a porn amnesty until the baby is born!!!!

Scully I feel your pain love! Maybe we can send each other birth vibes?! I need to book an appt with MW for next week as well. I've never been overdue so the thought is really frightening me. Especially with bloody GP's telling me how 'big' I am .

Cricri Welcome home. Holland sounds lovely. Elise is a real globe trotter already. I think it's lovely that she's well travelled. Maybe it'll give her the impetus to have a really wild gap year?!

Right, better force some salad down me. Not really hungry tonight. But, there is a full moon......HOWL.............supposed to bring on labour......

BellaHarry · 07/07/2009 22:25

georgie no, don't worry I am diluting it in oil. Not sure how much I believe in it's powers but hay full term tomorrow so I figure what the hell. Most of me believes only baby dictates when it comes! Hope yours thinks tonight's the night x

HerNameWasLola · 07/07/2009 22:46

Hello lovely ladies

Thank you for all your kind words about stopping work. Have finally come to a decision and feel a lot better - at least for now! I've got a trial starting tomorrow (allegedly) and the one on monday that's meant to last 4 days next week, but everyone else involved reckons it'll be substantially quicker and "easy" (?) so have eventually decided to do it but then that's it. Other than the few bits and bobs I have in my diary between now and 31st July that'll be me done for the year! All I need to do is try to do enough per week between now and 31st to earn more than the £117pw or whatever it is I get as mat allowance to make it worth my while. So that's the plan! Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it

Apologies for the "me" post, but I've been meaning to pick your brains about a couple of things:

  1. Bouncy chair thingies - get one? If so which one? Like the idea of one that rocks by itself, though think we'll need to keep it away from the dogs or they'll chase it!
  1. dummies - which brand?? Don't see this as optional, but feel free to put me straight on that!

Bella think you asked a while ago about testing for group B strep? I'd pretty much decided not to, having spoken to my consultant about it, but I was talking to a friend of mine who's a GP and who is 38 weeks and that's made me reconsider. Also spoke to the mw who runs our antenatal group about it tonight and she said she'd get tested at about 36-7 weeks, so am going to talk to my mw about it when I see her on thurs. What are your thoughts on it?

Only other news here is that I had a surprise scan today I thought I'd felt reduced movements over the last day so I decided to give the day assessment unit a call to see if I could pop in for a listen (decided I didn't particularly trust the GP to know what they were talking about!) They said to go in at 2pm and I was just expecting a go with a doppler and a bp & urine check, but instead when the lady called me in, it was into a scan room! Would have told DH I was going had I known! All good anway, and LO is "definitaly a girl" - little hussey flashed her bits for us good and proper She's measuring just over the 50th centile as she has all along and has an estimated current weight of 4lbs 10oz which (although I know how inaccurate it can be) is still quite exciting!

Georgie hope you're out there howling at the moon as I type Does DH realise he not only has to perform but he has to perform well enough to give you an orgasm?? No pressure!! (And does he know that we all know that's what he's going to be doing on Friday night?? That should relax him nicely! )

Speaking of which Mollie I bet you were gutted about the 'no sex' thing, nothing like swollen ankles and generally feeling like the side of a house to put you in the mod hey? Glad you got the rash checked xx

Scully glad the mw check went well, the race is defintely on with you two! Were you on time with your other 2?

Teehee you have achieved a real milestone! Second Georgie's suggestions to you, def time for some mummy pampering now that daddy's home

to everyone else, sorry for prattling on about me for so long But got to sort out papers for tomorrow and go to bed now I think... night all.

PS husband and wife professional shoplifters tomorrow, no more wife beating for a bit

HerNameWasLola · 07/07/2009 22:52

Still doing the waiting thing down here, dd2 was 8 days late though so I'm not expecting to deliver before my due date
Mind you, felt funny last night so it spurred me on to put the last few things in my bag and the dd's bag.
Georgie, you are getting desperate, sex , that's so not happening at this house
A scan Lola, how lucky are you Good that your little girl is looking good and you could confirm that she is in fact a girl
Well done Teehee for managing without dh, is it an achievement the first time
Holiday photos are great on FB Cricri, isn't Elise getting a big girl
Have a riveting day planned for today, dd2 is off to nursery soon, and dd1 and I might then go grocery shopping, and then I'm going to start doing dh and my tax returns online. Our financial year ended on 30/6 and I was hoping to get everything submitted before the baby arrived, as we're due refunds He brought home his statement of earnings last night so I can start the exciting task today

FruitynNutty · 08/07/2009 08:46

Morning,
Just a quick "me" post.....

Have any of you had relationship councelling? What do you do if you can't afford it? (even Relate charge quite a lot) Is there any way to get it free?
Now I wish I hadn't bought the bag and highchair as the money could have gone on the councelling. (bag and highchair more fun though!)
We're having a bad phase again. Won't go into details as it's so boring now.
Just want to get it fixed.
Just got to get two completely different people with completely opposite views on life to meet in the middle somewhere which seems an impossible challenge.

Will pop back in a bit to catch up xx

Molliemooma · 08/07/2009 09:31

Fruity So sorry to hear that things aren't good in the fruity houshold again I don't know about relationship counselling but as you know I'm a fan of the counselling I got after the m/c's, it can't hurt and at least you would know that you have tried to salvage your relationship. Is there no access to free sessions? Have you checked on the internet? Feel free to talk about this as much or as little as you want on here, its not boring and it's good for you to get things off your chest x

teeheelaydee · 08/07/2009 10:02

Fruity Second what Mollie says, we will not be bored as this is what we're here for. Would your Mum help out with the cost of counselling, or ask your GP. The problem with waiting for it on the NHS is that it tends to take a while. I had to wait 6 weeks for mine. Relate are pretty good I think and can just see you if DP not keen. Is he up for it though?

Scully What a glamorous life you lead! I bet LO won't arrive until you've finished. I think it's a mental thing sometimes, so Georgie are you sure there isn't something you should have done that you've forgotton.

Lola Bouncy chairs are brilliant!!!!! N is currently asleep in his as I type. We have one that vibrates and bounces although we only use the vibrate. Didn't get a swinging one as take up too much room. We actually got it free from people we bought the crib from which I was pleased about as didn't know if he would like it. It's been such a success that we've just got another for upstairs, pretty basic this one

Dummies - also a lifesaver as far as i'm concerned! We held off for the first few weeks to ensure the BF was going OK and started with the orthodontic Tommee Tippee ones which he wouldn't take so we switched to the more old fashioned 'cherry' dummies - Oh the peace!! Oh the joy!! Just have to get him off them now - possibly a job for the summer hols! It just helps get him to sleep and when he was very young and wind was an issue it just calmed him down enough to get the wind out.

Would love to catch up with everyone but N is now squirming so going to walk to the shops.

Where is Sparkly?

scully · 08/07/2009 12:14

Fruity, do Relate have an option that you can pay what you can afford rather than a set fee? Don't worry about being boring, better to share/vent I think.
Lola, I used a bouncer chair for both the dd's and have one for this dc as well. Look for one on Ebay, they don't use them for that long, but you will get use out of it, most babies like them. I found one that folds fairly flat this time, as space in our lounge room is an issue this time, agree with Teehee about the swinging ones taking up too much room, I could have borrowed one of them but decided not to, because of the space issue.
Dummies, buy one or two brands and let the baby decide. Both dd's had brands they liked and didn't like, and some babies don't like them at all. We weaned both dd's off them at around 18mths, some might think a bit late, but by that stage they were only using them at night. Wasn't a major issue to do and their teeth seem fine
I have a friend whose children have never used a dummy or had a bottle, but she bf the first one until 3.5yrs and the 2nd one is 2 in Sept and still being bf, they use her for comfort instead. She is happy with this alternative, but I wouldn't have been, dummy was the better option for me.
As for me, had more cramping today, bit stronger than last night, nothing worthy of being timed or anything, just generally uncomfortable. Hoping it won't happen tonight as dd2 has a cold, didn't eat much dinner and has thrown up about an hour ago, so would rather not have to leave her with someone in the middle of the night, like this

scully · 08/07/2009 12:35

Good thing I got up to check her after posting, just threw up again Changed her pj's a 2nd time, and she's now sitting up in our bed, looking at Disney Princess books..... Wanted to lie down though as her body was sore, which I'm interpreting as achey
Think I might google the symptons of swine flu, just in case.......
She managed to throw up on the only jumper that sort of fits me so I've just put a load of washing on at 9.35pm, to wash all the vomity things

cricri · 08/07/2009 14:19

I started this post at 7am this morning but Elise woke up and interrupted!
Fruity So sorry to hear things aren't good with DP again I've heard good things about Relate and as Scully says, I thought that they just asked you to pay what you could afford? In the meantime feel free to vent on here - it's what we're here for.
Mollie Glad GP is taking your rash seriously and doing some blood tests. I can imagine the look on your DH's face when you told him about the no sex ban
Teehee Glad you survived flying solo. I agree with booking a pampering session - you deserve it
Scully Oooh, "feeling funny" - sounds very promising! Good luck with the tax returns, hopefully they will bring on labour. Thanks for your comment about Elise - she is getting very big! 99th centile (update: Hope DD feels better soon - perhaps not a good night to go into labour after all!)
Georgie I'm loving your plan of attack to get Tedwood out - hope it works!
Lola Wow, a surprise scan, lovely! Glad you were reassured anyway and that all is well with your little girl.
To answer your questions - I was tested for Strep B at about 37 weeks. I'd tested positive in my previous pregnancy, although I was negative early on with Elise. However, given that GBS status fluctuates and as I wanted a home birth my mw agreed to test (she had to write that I had thrush on the form as there is no routine GBS testing here). The test came back negative fortunately. One of my friends gave birth very recently and found out she was GBS at 37 weeks and her little boy had to have IV antibiotics and was in SCBU for a day or so because of it. But that is very rare. The thing with GBS is it fluctuates - have you had a look at the GBS support site? Might help you with your decision. See what your mw says too.
Bouncy chairs A godsend as the others have said. Absolutely brilliant. Elise didn't really like the vibrating function and once she got bigger she was happier bouncing it on her own. She loved the dangly things on the arch though (we had animals). Swing seats are great too - it was the only place she would sleep apart from on me or with me so was great for having 30 minutes of peace to get showered or whatever. We had a Fisher Price take-along swing.
Dummies Elise was a very sucky baby so you'd think she would have loved a dummy... No way, she refused to take them. I tried a couple of different brands and gave up. I think like Scully's friend she uses me for comfort instead and nothing else will do!
Hope everybody is having a good day. We had a photographer round this morning to take some photos of Elise - she took nearly 500 in the space of a couple of hours! Elise was great during that time and hopefully we've got some lovely shots of her. We've also decided to go ahead with her naming ceremony so I'm just waiting to hear back from the venue where we'd like to hold it to see if it's free on the day we want.

FruitynNutty · 08/07/2009 14:44

Right, I can finally catch up!

First of all thanks for the advise. I think Relate only allows you to pay what you can afford if you're on benefits Unfortunately Child benefit doesn't count. So unfair!
It means only the rich/very poor can get help, what about us inbetweeners?
Makes me so cross, I'd be so much better of on benefits!

It's just the same old row, money mainly. He keeps dipping into our credit card/bills account. Barely any money left on the credit card now and the bills account shouldn't be touched as only the just enough cash goes into that account - it's just for bills to come out of.
So, I changed the password on the online banking (the account's in my name btw!) He's cross with me as he says he pays half so he should have access Says he's done it before and he always puts it back by the end of the month.
Funny that, why have I had to top up the bills account in the past from my own money so we don't go over the overdraft? He gets paid more than me too

There's other stuff too but a bit unfair to him as you're only getting my side of the story so I really won't go into anymore.
From where I'm sitting he's irresponsible and unreliable. I'm sure he'd tell you otherwise though

Trouble is, I was attracted to his extreme over laidback-ness at first. It's just plain irritating now

Apparently I'm extremely uptight and need to "chill out" If I hear those words one more time I think I might actually kill him - Lola could be a big case for you

Anyway......

Lola Dummies, essential! (IMO) C had one until he was about 2.5 I wouldn't let him walk the streets with it in his mouth (gross) but he would have it to go to sleep with and if he was tired. By that stage he was old enough to understand that it had to go. In fact, it was really easy. I just told him it was lost and he accepted it never looked back!
Bouncer - another essential bit of equipment, I love teehee's bouncer and it's on special offer too. I would definitely get a bouncer rather than a rocker like I've got In a bouncer they can bounce themselves. Mine you have to rock. I wouldn't bother with the music/vibrations, never used ours.

Damn, just realised the time, back later to finish......

BellaHarry · 08/07/2009 16:21

Lola I found out the test can be processed at our local private hospital and they quoted 55 quid which I think is quite reasonable , my GP would have to refer and do the swabs. I'm going to print the email and take to my mw apt next fri if not before.

Fruity we used a lady in Epsom for a few months she specialises in relationship councelling and told me she assesses charge based on what one can afford. There is also a. Website I am going to search for and post for you that lists all therapists and some are recently qualified so. Charge less. I can give you my lady's contact tomorrow and I'm just off to search for that website x x x

SparklyPseudonym · 08/07/2009 19:20

Sorry I've been AWOL. Mad weekend - mainly with DD dancing/dancing exams - she's 3 FGS. Same next weekend - dancing show etc.
We found out a few days a go that they have swine flu in the junior section of her school. I knew they'd be first to be hit as it's an independent school and many of the girls/parents are well travelled. To top it all off, DD was sent home ill today but she seems ok this evening. Fingers crossed.

Lots of catch up on.........
Lola I'm so glad you're going to slow down with work and finish early. You want to enjoy your time before your gorgeous DD arrives - don't feel guilty for it. I finished work at 29 weeks with L and I'd have done the same this time if I wasn't off already. L had a dummy for the first 5 months and then it stopped soothing her so I stopped using it. I wouldn't hesitate to use one again. Def get a bouncer chair. I'd get a swinging chair too. I found ours a God send. Haven't got it anymore but intend to buy a new one. Did you get any pics at scan?
Fruity So sorry you're having a hard time again . Just what you need...Men are def from different planets. How does he feel about seeing someone? I think it would be a good idea to do it before the big day and hopefully sort things out. No idea about the cost thing though. Please keep posting if you need to get it off your chest.
Scully How many days to go? Hope your DD is feeling a bit brighter now.
Cricri Love the new pics on FB. E is growing so quickly. She's such a sweetie.
Teehee Here I am [waves]. Bet you;re thrilled to have your DP back. So pleased everything went smoothly for you. Are you planning some 'you' time this weekend to make up for it?
Georgie No post from you today. Has the full moon started things off? Hope so .
Bella I'm going to read up of BStrep now. They don't test here but we can pay privately. Clary Sage was the only thing I didn't try at 14 days overdue. Maybe I'll buy a couple of bottles this time.
Ei Any news from you lovely? How are you feeling?
Piper You're quiet. Is your scan this week?

DP is out tonight and tomorrow and have just put DD to bed after spending the whole afternoon ironing AGAIN. I don't know where it all comes from or how I'll cope with another load of clothes.

Fruity sorry you are having a rough patch, don't have any counselling advice, but feel free to vent on here hun xx

Georgie where are you ...?

Sparkly hope DD gets better soon and you look after yourself missus - keep away from those fluey pigs

Ei how are you my dear ?

Lola bouncy chair good for the first few months - E loved the vibrate setting and the flashing lights and music on his (borrowed from a friend). They don't use them for long though so don't spend a fortune, borrow or buy from ebay if you can. E never used a dummy as he used his thumb to settle himself when little, he has now stopped that - phew ! All of his baby friends use dummies, but only when really upset or to go to sleep.

I have just cooked enough food from Anabelle Karmel to keep E going for months !! I am exhausted as it has taken hours but am so glad it is done now - feeling all smug and Earth Mothery !
