Hello lovely ladies
Sorry I haven't had chance to post recently - I don't know where the past week has disappeared to!
Just a quickie to say that I've been thinking of all you pg ladies in this heat - must be quite unbearable and it sounds as though you're all suffering to some degree. I say put your feet up and relax in the garden or wherever it's cool - work caan wait Seriously though, it's no fun being pg in this weather. It is meant to cool down though.
You lot are a bad influence with the changing bags - I was already thinking I could do with a new bag (I got mine free with the Boots parenting club ) after admiring Teehee's at our meet-up and seeing all those gorgeous bags is making me drool... However, I also need to buy a new laptop before we go to France as my old one is on its last legs, so not sure I can justify a new change bag as well. Oh well.
Mollie I didn't see your original post but I got the gist of what has been happening. I completely agree with what has already been said. The same thing happened to a girl on my PN thread very recently, although it was a friend of hers rather than a family member. It's really horrible, a total violation of privacy. But as Lola said, you've done nothing wrong. I'm really that you've got this to deal with on top of everything else. Not long to go until you see your baby again though - keep focusing on that!
Lola Glad you cleared the air with your doula and that you're going to have a proper chat. So pleased you got copies of your wedding photos. Enjoy TT tomorrow night!
Fruity Definitely no more babies here for the time being, if at all! One is quite enough for me at the moment
Not such a quick post then Apologies to everybody I've missed even after that mammoth post!

scully · 01/07/2009 04:13

I'm back We had a lovely 3 nights at the Gold Coast, warm enough for the dd's to swim (pool was heated, but not enough for me). Went for lovely walks along the beach, and spent Monday at Dreamworld (like Thorpe Park I guess). If walking around there from 10.15am to 5pm didn't set things off I don't know what will..... not that I wanted things to kick off being an hour away from my hospital of choice. But baby can come when it likes now that we've squeezed in our little holiday
Having just read 4 pages of posts, no idea where to start
Very cross for you Mollie, also didn't see your original post, but a major invasion of privacy to read other people's posts when you know them in real life & then to comment on it so that you know they are reading, what's that about?
Thought you guys were exaggerating about the hot weather but 31deg tomorrow, that is hot 25deg here today and sunny, not bad for winter, & it's not humid so I'm happy
Having quite strong bh on and off, generally when I try and do too much. Been like that for a week or so now. Done too much this morning I think - mopped floors, hoovered bedrooms, 2 loads of washing, brought a 3rd load off the line, cooked dinner, took dh to work and dd2 to nursery, by 11.30am this morning Sitting down now catching up on things until dd1 and I go to my physio appt at the hospital, for the carpal tunnel at 2.30pm this afternoon.
Have everything crossed for you Ei, that this is your month. I'm useless at charts, so haven't looked, is it looking promising?
Georgie you sound so fed up That's how I felt for the first 5mths, actually have felt ok for the last month or so, just when everyone is expecting me to be over it. Also couldn't face sex though, wouldn't matter how crap I was feeling Might have a curry on the weekend, tbh honest though, not in any major hurry for things to kick off though, yet......
Seeing my chiropractor tonight and my reflexologist on Sat morning, so looking forward to both
Want to take dd1 to the new Hannah Montana movie tomorrow, as she is on school holidays this week and next. Don't want to tempt fate and leave it to next week, just in case.
dd2 wants to see Ice Age 3, so might try and do that on Friday, the 3 of us, or else on the weekend with dh as well.
I have a friend Fruity, whose dd saw Transformers, and she was 5.5yrs and had also enjoyed the first one, so I don't think C was that young to go, probably the Imax bit that freaked him out more than anything.
I'm getting dh to print out some discount vouchers, so we only pay $6 per ticket, just in case we need to leave the cinema early Well done on the bag purchase, I would like a photo of them lined up at the next meet up Who said Britain is in recession
Well done for finishing work Bella, no way I could have still been teaching at 37 and 38wks when I finished with dd1 and dd2, think it really does depend on your job and how much you need to deal with other people. I worked for an investment bank when pregnant with the girls and was surrounded by men so it was water off a duck's back when I was grumpy
Should probably have another name conversation with dh this week, haven't talked about that in a while We so don't feel the pressure everyone around us seems to have, that we need a name within minutes of pushing dc3 out
Hi to everyone else, sorry can't remember what else has been posted

teeheelaydee · 01/07/2009 07:31

Not sure how much time I'll have as this is my "Noah happy in his cot" time and it does have a limit!

No word from Goergie Do you think this means it's kicked off or maybe her cankles are weighing her down and she can't get to the computer. Scully you sound really chilled out though. Glad you had a great break. IKWYM about the name thing, it seemed to be everyone else who was determined for us to choose one before hand. I'm glad we didn't as it was nice to have a look at him first. Do you have a shortlist though?

Am expecting a news item anyday, something like "Britain is still in recession but we can report a huge surge in changing bag sales!"

Absolutely Lola listen to your body, it and the baby clearly know best!

Sparkly I like Louis and with an S as well. I've said it with Lara a few times as well and it is a bit of a tongue twister if you say it fast but otherwise it's fine. Not sure about Bo though Fruity although it is girl/boy friendly so wouldn't matter what you had next time.

And no I'm not desperate to have another, it's just you and your mad idea that being pg is great- you loon!

Crici Laptop is more important I guess but when you get it you will need to test that it works for internet shopping

Mollie It is tomorrow isn't it- what time?

Hello to everyone else - I'm out of time according to N, thinking of all you preggers girls in this heat. Stay cool!

BellaHarry · 01/07/2009 08:13

Lola thanks for updating...oooh I'm 36 wks, that sounds so close

Fruity I LOVE Beau! know someone by that name who is just lovely, think that's what Emma Bunton called her babe. And as for more babies...you are mad! being pg is not that fun, not the last 2 months anyway! Just think back to the summer heat of 05 and you waddling around with C in your belly!!! See you at 10am hun xxx

mibbes · 01/07/2009 08:21

Mollie am outraged, that is all I can say - feels a bit like we are being spied on... Good luck with scan hun xx

LOL at this thread bucking the recession with changing bag sales !

I so feel for you lovely pregnant ladies in this heat - get those swollen feet into an ice cold bucket of water and get a magnum in one hand and a cornetto in the other . I am so excited to hear about the babies over the coming weeks !!

Lola was it last night you saw TT ? How were they ?

Right well off to get ready and pound those streets with the pram - my 'pram tan' is coming along nicely

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 09:14

Morning!
Christ, you ladies have been busy this morning!

Sparkly Louis is definitely starting to grow on me (with an s though) - Just picturing a little boy version of L and it's very cute

Bella you just put a tear in my eye when you said about remembering being pregnant with C Oh how I miss those peaceful days!
See you at 10!

Teehee I think I miss being pregnant as it passed me by so quickly. I feel like I blinked and it was over. That's what happens if you have to work the whole way through, you don't really get to sit back and enjoy it.
So, to all you pregnant ladies, if you haven't given up work yet, DO IT NOW!!!!!

Lola you're absolutely right, It's sooooo not my turn to get pregnant! I think DP would have a nervous breakdown anyway Not sure I can handle all the stress of ttc anyway.
If I didn't put on so much weight, I'd definitely be a surrogate for someone but not using my own eggs. I just can't bare the monotony of weight loss
Have a great time at TT tonight! Send them my love

Scully Sounds like you had a lovely break but you still need to relax. Remember you'll have three of them to run around after soon. Re the cinema - When I was 11 days past my due date, DP took his little sister to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory. My waters broke when he was in the cinema and I couldn't get hold of him! Finally did and he had to leave after about 10 mins of the film.
Maybe it'll tempt fate for you if you go
You're right about what kind of work you do and when to give up. I think, as I was able to sit at home all day if I wanted, it was much easier for me. It's my big flight of concrete steps I had to encounter every time I wanted to go out which killed me! Especially getting three kiddies down them.
If I had to go out to work and face a long commute everyday, I would have had to give up much earlier.

cricri You need a laptop! Much more important. You won't be able to MN without a laptop

Piper How's it going with Mrs Twinnie? Pop in when you get a chance and let us know xx

Ei Your chart is confusing as usual. Nice big peak at 13dpo. It'll be interesting to see what your temp is today.....

Lola When are you giving up? I really think you should be putting your feet up soon. If you give up now, you can come and meet me for coffee in Wimbledon whenever you like!

Mollie Best of luck for tomorrow - you won't need it though xxx

I'm just waiting fo a delivery from JL. My Mum phoned the other day asking if I can be in Weds morning for a delivery (she let slip that she was in Peter Jones). It's coming before 11am, can't wait to see what it is!
Lola I'm sure you'll let me know if your bag arrives today I'm hoping mine will too but I think mine will take up to 5 working days.

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 09:19

Mibbes forgot to say, Pram tan's are fab aren't they! Mine's also coming along nicely
BTW I think we should all blame you for the bag! You started it!

SmilingEi · 01/07/2009 09:23

morning ladies
mollie hope you are doing well
fruity i am not too fussed on the name beau (spelt that way it looks nice just doesnt sound it to me when it is said- namely due to the fact that the spoken word BO is used to describe body odour up here in sweltering hot liverpool)
bella hope you are doing nice things now you are on mat leave. just to add though if you want to swap with me i would happily suffer the last 2 months of preggy if it means i finally get my baby
lola hope those ankles are not swelling up too much enjoy TT it was brilliant xx
sparkly how about leo?? are you going with L as the starting letter?? how are you??
scully any day now then maybe you are nesting what with all the housework you are doing come over to liverpool and do mine for me if you want
one of my best friends had her little boy on monday night he is gorgeous!! im going along for a cuddle this weekend i think. she called him alfie samuel and he was born at home into her DP's hands as the midwofe didnt make it on time im so happy for her its mad! i thought i would feel upset as she found out she was preg just after my CP number 2 IIRC. i cant wait to go and see them and it gave me an excuse to buy baby clothes for him obv and they r very cute
well speak later chicks
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 10:08

I LOVE logging on in the morning and finding lots of posts to read.

Ei I really like Leo but one of my very good friends has already used it. We're not really going to any starter letter...I can think of loads of girls names but am hopeless with boy ones. That must have been a shock for your friend and her DP - I'd panic in that situation. Congrats to them.
Fruity I had a dream last night that I'd had the baby and when I looked at his face it was Jack...very weird!! Has your pressie arrived yet? And are you ready for TTC#3?
Mibbes LOL at your pram tan. Beer gardens all the way in this weather .
Teehee I remember those limited 'happy in cot times'. They never last very long...
Scully Glad you had a good break. Oh BH!! Were the girls early, on time or late?
Cricri Go oonnn, buy a bag...I dare you!
Lola My body tells me to sit and eat cake but my brain feels too guilty when there's always so much to do in the house....I need anti-guilt lessons. Enjoy your day and TT.

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 11:03

Can't stop laughing at This Morning's special on fertilty.
You ovulate 14 days before your period is due...................Not everyone has a 14 day LP?
After sex, lie in bed (don't get up and go to the loo).......Oh really? I was sticking my legs up in the air/doing a handstand to show off .
Have sex every day for a week before ovulation......I'm sure I'd read that this was bad and you should allow for sperm to replenish.
Don't allow your DP/H to cycle because it damages sperm.......

Honestly, it really is that simple .

SmilingEi · 01/07/2009 11:16

oh i miss morning TV i should have recorded that for tips seeing as how im so obviously doing something wrong
so spotting stopped again yesterday and i have had some more brown today (TMI sorry ) but only a very tiny amount so buggered if i know what is goin on but i woke today feeling rather ill and baulked while brushing my teeth im waiting for my pee sticks from babymad before i test again though someone slap me and shake me out of getting my hopes up
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 11:21

You've gotta laugh. They make it sound so simple. Your body is really messing with your mind isn't it!! I hate all the 'not knowing'. It makes it so much harder. Hurry up so POAS mission can begin. How was temp this am? xx

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 13:28

Well, delivery arrived.
Two new dining chair
OMFG, I've just seen the price You see where I get my money spending gene from?

crazy woman

I love the chairs though, very comfy and go well with our dark brown leather sofa

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 13:37

Ei yes you're right about the name Beau sounding like B.O! It's the only thing that puts me off. I think I love it because DP's friend has a little boy with that name and he's such a cutey. It's name association isn't it. Also, my old mindee's mum has just named her new baby boy Bo (the Swedish spelling). Must be getting popular!

When are the pee sticks due to arrive????????

Sparkly How funny having jack in your dream I hope he was behaving himself
And about This Morning. I feel like writing in to complain! How can they tell people things like that?

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 13:43

Fruity You are spoilt!! I'm only jealous.

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 13:44

Yes, I am very spoilt

SmilingEi · 01/07/2009 13:47

fruity the chairs are lovely very similar to what we have a tad more expensive though i agree you are spoilt!! does your mum want to adopt me??
xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 13:52

haha, I'll ask her!
I'm still waiting for my Lin and Leo

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 14:02

Can she adopt me too? I already have dining chairs but I can think of lots of things I need....I've done nothing today except read Heat and Closer (buy both and save £1), MN and watch TV. We're taking DD to see Ice Age 3 after school.

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 14:08

I haven't done much either except I did have Bella over for coffee which was lovely She's looking positively radiant and has the most beautifully round and tanned bump . Can you believe the cow hasn't even had the decency to put on any weight anyway else? "Whatta fackin libertaaaayyyy"

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 14:09

I think I might wait until she's had the baby before I punch her lights out

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 14:17

LOL Fruity. I don't think I put weight on anywhere else with DD (perhaps my thighs a bit) but my saggy tum took ages to go down (never did completely) and I avoided stretch marks until she was two weeks old...how did that work out. There's still time my love . Sorry, Bella.

SmilingEi · 01/07/2009 14:23

ahhh its frustration central at my desk today!!
i am dying to test but no tests here with me and also no shops near that i could go and buy one i will cry if my pee sticks arent there when i get home
which lin and leo did you get fruity??

xx ei xx

BellaHarry · 01/07/2009 14:23

Sweating in the garden now, desperatly want to tan my underside too but just can't get the position right
ei aaw babw, I wish you could have that baby too; it WILL happen x xx

fruity hey! glad I got out before your claws came out meeow! Perhaps I shall blank you on fb now lol you are too kind anyway; my thighs are massive! Have you decided to keep the chairs? Or found out what re-constituted leather is? I think it must be like that sandwich ham?! [Hmm]

FruitynNutty · 01/07/2009 14:29

haha, I've no idea, I might google. Sounds dodgy though, thankful my new chairs aren't re-constituted!
