SparklyPseudonym · 28/06/2009 11:03

Ps. Am really tempted to get the Lin and Leo in Turquoise....

FruitynNutty · 28/06/2009 12:38

Ooh, that's the one Lola's just got It's gorgeous! I would have chosen that one but didn't think it'd go with my red bugaboo so I went for red

There are two on Ebay...

SparklyPseudonym · 28/06/2009 13:42

Well I've got the Quinny in Storm - Black/Grey so any colour will go with it. Just thought DP might be more likely to carry that than the pink...
Ohh gota love ebay.

SparklyPseudonym · 28/06/2009 13:44

Did Lola buy it from here? It's "only" £95

FruitynNutty · 28/06/2009 13:49

bugger no, she didn't. Ah crap.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 28/06/2009 15:36

Hello. Still here. Sweaty, swollen, slightly bad tempered . I've walked for miles, cleaned out cupboards, wardrobes and eaten spicy food. Ouch. No sign of Tedwood. Braxton Hicks still v painful today. Poor DH has been threatened with having to 'take one for the team' if things go on much longer. But to be fair, I think we'd both rather poke our eyes out with chopsticks than have sex.. Some things just aren't meant to be! Feel about as sexy as an unsexy lady can feel.

I think I'll prob be the same as I was with DD2, which was about 7 -10 days of whopping BH then a v quick, full on labour slap bang on my due date. Eek. My mum was the same with my bro. She got to hospital and had him 15 mins later .

It's the full moon on 7th July, so maybe that might spur things on a bit.....

Ei Ooooooo, you lucky, lucky lady. Have a fab time at TT. Give the boys my love!!!! Hope AF buggers off.

Mibbes Same as you and Sparkly. Didn't cry at all with DD1 and DD2 when they were born. But absoloutely howled about 3 days after when the baby blues kicked in.

Sparkly Am v of your lovely neat bump. You looking glowing my love. Hope your w/e with DD is going well.

Fruity Can't wait to see the bag 'in person' so to speak. Is C home from transformers yet? Bet he's gone crazy on all the sugar and adrenalin!

Bella Hope you've got some nice things planned for your mat leave? Pamper, pamper, pamper!

Hello to all you other lovely ladies. xxxx

FruitynNutty · 28/06/2009 15:42

Well, they're back early. C got scared So that's £21 down the drain
Ah, well. It is a 12a after all. Shame as he loves the 1st one so much. Not scared at all. Perhaps seeing it on the Imax screen didn't help much

Georgie Love "take one for the team" LMAO!

BellaHarry · 28/06/2009 18:52

georgie good luck hun, keep up the curries! A friend of mine suggested 'Clary Sage' she swears it brought on both her labours early; have you heard of it?
sparkly love the pics!

Can't believe you ladies and these bags! Is this going to happen to me too? Seems to be a club developing. Lol

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 28/06/2009 19:27

Bella I've tried Clary Sage, Raspberry Leaf tea, curries, walking, bouncing on my Swiss Ball. You name it, I've tried it. I think I'll just admit defeat and wait for her to make an apperance. Damn this impatient streak of mine .

HerNameWasLola · 28/06/2009 19:39

Wotcha

Sorry not been posting, still feeling the lack of laptop, but think we're (hopefully) getting somewhere on a replacement

I've updated the list a bit. The last one I could find had Georgie, Scully & me 2 weeks behind so I've moved everyone on 2 weeks, hope that's ok. Ei I haven't changed your days in the fervant hope that you're wrong abuot af's imminent arrival! Whatever happens, I hope you have a fab time at TT, you certainly deserve it!

Georgie glad to see you haven't popped in my absence (), though I hope she won't keep you waiting toooooo much longer. Reckon postponing the move was a very good plan, was worried about your mental and physical health! Speaking of which, how's the toe?

Bella am so of you having stopped work! Although I have no reason to be really, you're 4 weeks further on than me after all, and I did only work one day this week... I really noticed the difference though, think it definitely did me and LO good to have a break, and the fact that for the most part the weather was absolutely glorious didn't hurt either

I have an interesting week coming up, it could potentially turn into a disaster but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm meant to be starting a trial tomorrow, but we haven't actually got a court room or a judge! We're listed as a "floater" (nice huh? ) which means that if any courts become available we slot in, and if they don't we just go home (and get paid NOTHING) Good hey? My only issue is that I HAVE to be finished on tuesday as on wed I'm off to see TT as well!

Seeing them at Wembley and the current plan (work permitting) is to make a day of it and head up there mid-morning. Am a bit worried about how I'll cope with the standing, weather (heat/rain) etc etc so not quite as excited as I'd normally be, especially with the added stress of whether I'll actually make it or whether my trial will run into wednesday if we don't start til late tomorrow, but there we are... Still looking forward to it, still realise what a lucky girl I am to be going at all (fingers crossed!) The huge added bonus is that DH was worried about 2 preggy ladies (friend is 20 weeks) making it back to waterloo and home late at night, so he's offered to come all the way up to collect us!!

Then another trial I've been chasing to try to find a date for ages has been listed for Thursday... A complete disaster really. Even with DH so kindly picking us up I won't be in bed til about 1am I suspect, having been standing for a large chunk of the day, and the trial in question is at a court over an hour & a half's drive away (65miles) which means leaving here at 7.30am at the latest. It's a 3 day-er so would also mean I can't do the spa day we have booked for friday So I think all in all, although not very clever financially, I'm going to have to pass it to someone else. I don't feel safe driving that distance at the moment anyway, I've really struggled to stay awake the last couple of times I've done it, and that was without being up til 1am the night before. So I think my free pass to a very posh spa will have to win. I only hope I'm able to get rid of the bloody thing...

God I can whinge can't I? Sorry Am just a bit pee'd off that my lovely week - potter about mon & tue, TT wed, maybe a little light work thurs, spa day fri has turned into such an effing nightmare! But I suspect I'll survive!

Mollie not long to go now my love. You give that bean of yours a talking to from me when you see him on thrusday Still have a good feeling about it all for you, as I told you my friend who's just had her 20 week scan has had exactly the same experience, and LO is fine

Fruity aka bag buyer extraordinaire god you are a bad influence young lady! I realised today I should have asked you for a discount as the first customer for your personalised baby shopping service! Can't wait for it to arrive now! And anyway worst case scenario if it's not in great nick is put it back on ebay and get pne from that gorgeous site Sparkly found, though will be interested to see when they think they'll have them back in stock...

Think I might have to go in a sec and come back in a bit (if you can cope with any more of my drivel ) some people are on their way over with copies of the wedding photos we lost - in fact they've just arrived... bye! Xx

Right I am posting if it kills me! Been lurking but just haven't had time to post.

Georgie My thoughts are well & truly with you and at the risk of having you get the train to Norwich just to cuff me. I'm afraid there is not much you can do - she will come when she is good and ready. Pregnancy is the pits though, especially the late bit - the feeling that you want to take your bump off at the end of the day as it's so friggin' heavy - urgh! Could you maybe face having sex with a hot tennis player if DH won't oblige.

Ladies - Please STOP with the bags. I'm so . Love the turquoise, but also remember the one that Mibbes didn't get was a lovely tan. Although Sparkly I think a bright colour would set off your pram nicely. I seem to have become a shopaholic - yesterday bought a load of new clothes, as was fed up with looking awful with things either too big or too small! (yes-Lola a bit more than bits and bobs) . Today I seem to have fed my addiction by buying some gorgeous short sleeved babygros for Noah and a second bouncy chair to have upstairs. (if it's not for me it doesn't count as spending money - that is right isn't it?)

So glad you had a good meet up in Stirling Mibbes and Ei - am really gutted that we haven't all been able to get together. We must sort it even if it takes months to organise and Scully if you win the lottery perhaps we could make the venue Oz - your treat!

Hope you are feeling better Mollie, take it easy. I'm not big on having 'feelings' about things but I just have a feeling that this one is going to work out for you and the only evidence I have that I'm right is I had the same feeling about my pregnancy with N. Not scientific I know but I AM SURE this one is the one for you.

Ei Have a great time at TT - what a lovely week you've had, shame that AF might turn up and put a dampener on things - next month hey!

Sparkly Gorgeous gorgeous bump! You are looking marvellous and 22 weeks - hurrah. Those scans are so clear too.

Fruity your pics on FB look great, looks like C had a great time. Shame about the film -he's not as big as he thought then!

DP is going away on his school trip on Thurs until the following Weds and I am dreading it. Aaargh - how will I manage? Please do not all desert me next weekend, although Georgie and Scully are excused - only if they're in labour though.

teeheelaydee · 28/06/2009 19:56

Lola x-posts and am happy to say that your post is even longer than mine! DP here with takeaway so must dash. (We do eat proper food most of the time)

HerNameWasLola · 28/06/2009 22:08

Am back - aren't you lucky

People came over with wedding photos plus photos of their trip to venice so we can pinch some and pretend they were taken by us on our honeymoon! Worth a go though!

Am shattered. We had 16 for lunch for J's works summer party in our garden yesterday, and guess who ended up doing most of the running around and who got drunk and embarrassing... do you need a clue?! Done NOTHING today, though not really in a good way, shattered but slightly stir crazy.

Found out this morning from my sister (who knows I'm not a big fan of surprises) that I am having a baby shower after all! That's if she doesn't have a nervous breakdown trying to organise it, people are proving pretty tricky to get hold of apparently... Will have to get her a nice present to make up for it, no idea what thoguh... Makes me feel much better about the possibility of missing friday and about the fact that my 30th bday is 5 days before my EDD!! Was a little depressed at the thought of doing nothing for my 30th. Can any of you wise ladies suggest what I might feel like doing at that stage? (something nice, not slitting my wrists/attempting a diy c-section) Would really like to do SOMETHING. So far am thinking pedicure during the day, but what else...?

Too tired for sensible post now, plus still have a bit of work to do for tom, but thought I'd just share these gorgeous (but incredibly expensive) bags from the site Sparkly (who I'm not longer talking to ) found ()just to try to start off Bella's obsession and make teehee even more ha ha!

LOVE this

and this - in the large, natch

and this!

If only money grew on trees, they'd all be mine!

Night all, wish me luck for tomorrow... Hope to be back for a less self-centred post soon!

FruitynNutty · 29/06/2009 09:19

Just trying something......

SparklyPseudonym · 29/06/2009 09:31

Buggar - just logged on to that website with the Lin & Leo for £95 and they're not only all sold out but also back up to £159. I've got a feeling they made a bit of a mistake with their pricing and have now realised. ARGHHHH - knew I should have bought one.
Lola Maybe we can start a bag hire company, buy them all and then loan them out. If we get to carry them once we'll feel loads better. Don't over do it this week and enjoy TT.
Teehee I've been left alone quite a few times with DD. You'll adapt quite quickly and it'll be lovely to hand little N over when your DP gets back. Good lucl.
Fruity Poor C. It was prob the size of the screen and the noise. We're planning on Ice Age 3 this week.
HTGG LOL at 'one for the team'. It's def worth a go. I tried it at 41+ something but it didn't work. Maybe best to stick to the walking and avoid the cringe.

After being full of energy last week I feel exhausted today. DP came back yday and looked like death....We're having our house painted (outside) this week. Should be fun

SparklyPseudonym · 29/06/2009 09:32

Did it work Fruity?

FruitynNutty · 29/06/2009 09:32

Awwww, must only work on FB

Anyway,

Lola Do I have to choose?
Absolutely definitely the Alexandra Bee Sophia without a doubt
I also really

Molliemooma · 29/06/2009 09:42

Georgie Lol at your attempts to speed things up, as the others have said patience my lovely (yes you can remind me of this if I get to your stage I promise ) I think we should have a picture of your cankles Glad to see you're updating daily
Fruity Milan for your Hen Night, how gorgeous, I went to Barcelona and didn't know anything about until I got to the airport it was a lovely surprise. Is DP looking after the kids whilst you're away?
Where is he having his stag do?
Bella Enjoy your maternity leave
Sparkly Have you recovered from your weekend of "single parenting" yet?
EI Any sign of AF? I take your bet and I reckon Georgie will be 5th July. Very of TT you too Lola Hope you had a fab time
Lola Twice in one day !!! So pleased for you that you have been able to replace your wedding pictures and "steal" some honeymoon ones, I know its not the same, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Work sounds like it's turning into a bit of a nightmare, when will you finish? I'm really hoping that somebody else buys you a Lin & Leo bag at your baby shower and then you can give one to me
TeeHee I so hope your feeling is right sweet, I'm not sure I could cope with an alternative ending again. You will cope fine next weekend but I'll be surprised if you have chance to post, I'm sure N will keep you very busy Just remember to make a mental note that's one long weekend DP owes you

Stop with these bags or I'm going to have a fully fledged, feet stamping tantrum
a) I'm not looking at any baby stuff yet due to head in sand
b) I wouldn't be able to afford one like that
c) I love them I love them and I want them all

Well I'm off work again today, Mum, Dad and DH spent all day yesterday nagging me that I shouldn't be going back to work that I should be resting Anyway I struck a deal and said that I'd stay off today but go back tomorrow, have to say that a day at home sounds far more relaxing than interviewing 16 p*ssed off people all day

Ei Good luck hun xx

Mollie Hope you are well enough to be back at work? [shock} at sil and baby. that would make me very angry and upset too; how unusual. Must bear this in mind so as not to push out my sis and mum as DH is keen we do it all alone; don't want them feeling un-important though...hmmm need to think.

Lola when are you finishing work then? In my humble opinion don't leave it as late as I did; I felt terrible and the hot weather made it unbearable. Had a lovely day today doing me (an lo) things and feel like a new woman, so highly reccomend it hun

HerNameWasLola · 29/06/2009 18:35

Mollie at BIL & SIL for you. I can understand them just wanting to be by themselves, I can even understand only contacting MIL once a day and just about understand BIL asking you to only contact them through him (no need to be nasty/rude about it though But according to her fb they haven't been keeping to just themselves at all. No, I'd say you and DH have every right to be seriously pee'd off On a lighter note, I hope you had a lovely relaxing day enjoying the sunshine, and that you're not letting silly family members stress you out any more than you are already. Only 3 sleeps to go And the word you're looking for is when you get to Georgie's stage, not if!

Bella when do you think you'd stop next time? Glad you had a lovely first day of mat leave Have you got lots of lovely things planned for the rest of the week?

Sparkly sorry about the bag (kind of ) I think it was just a website cock up. I emailed them yesterday to ask when they'd be back in stock and they replied to say the price was an old one as they'd been out of stock for ages. They said they should be back sometime in July but they'll be full price. So reckon your best bet if you want a new one is BM 20% off and if you go to a store you won't have to pay p&p, otherwise you can look at the used ones like pikey old me! Do let me know if you find any more offers on new ones though, and my used one can go back on ebay from whence it came! Am excited about it arriving soon, but like the saddo that I am I'm quite nervous about whether the condtion will be as good as it seemed... Time will tell!

Georgie no update from you today I don't think? You'll have us all over-excited! Funny how we're assuming you'll pip Scully to the post, I bet she'll suddenly appear from nowhere with a gorgeous little bundle and you'll be on the 1st plane to oz to kick her butt (Only kidding Scully, I'm sure she woudln't do that. Well, fairly sure anyway )

Ei fingers crossed that next test ends in a bfp. At least luteal phase is a decent length Is it tonight you're seeing TT? How EXCITING! I look forward to your review! Will be interested to hear who the 2nd support act is, they seem to have had someone different at each location

HerNameWasLola · 29/06/2009 18:51

Thought I'd post before rubbish laptop deleted everything

Teehee am very impressed at 2 posts yday I know we've said it before, but such a shame we don't live nearer, you and N could pop down here for a bit while DP's away. Bet you'll be grand though, and N's virtual aunties will all be ready to lend a hand if we can

Fruity if you lose a stone you'll disappear my love! Is that the amount you're planning? Am trying to decide when to go for my next weigh in () Think the last one was sometime around mid april so about 20ish weeks. Am scared to think what's happened since...!

Forgot to mention when I was whittering on yday, I finally called my doula yday And what's more, I told her that the reason I hadn't been in touch for so long was that I was very upset after the last time we spoke. She apologised profusely and we've agreed to talk about it when we next meet, so I'll have to hold my nerve Think I will though. Maybe we'll get a discount? (joke)

Lots of love to any of the gang who are lurking, I love our select little thread

SmilingEi · 29/06/2009 19:20

lola i went to see TT last night and they were AMAZING!! gary go and the script were supporting them athough lady gaga was supposed to be the second act but she pulled out so the script kindly stepped in i have got tonnes of pics and a few vids that i ill be putting on FB if i can find my lead for the camera they had some seating at the back for us lazy buggers people who wanted to sit down (mainly preggos such as yourself...seriously bar the maternity ward i have never seen so many preggos in one place i was just a lazy fatty with no excuse)
we are going to see he backstreet boys in november...front row doncha know!! CANT BLOODY WAIT!!!!!!
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 29/06/2009 20:12

Ei So glad you had a good time at TT. I realllyyyy want to go again. Shame about Lady GaGa. She's only been on the scene for five mins and she's already pulling out! Keeping everything crossed for you lovely. Hope you're relaxing in a nice bath and spoiling yourself til you feel a bit brighter.
Lola I'll let you know if I snap up any bargins. I have too much time on my hands....How do you get 20% off BM? DP offered to buy it for me as a birthday pressie (Nov) - as if I want a baby bag for my birthday. I shouldn't need a reason for spending £159 on a bag . Glad you're meeting with the doula for a chat. Hopefully that'll clear the air...if not make sure you kick her in the face when you're in labour .
Mollie You know what I think....you're going to have such a gorgeous baby and everyone is going to want to see it but you'll prob be too busy with your MN friends . Lots of love xxxxxx
Fruity I am of all these baby showers too...maybe I should come to Milan and we'll have one there .
Teehee Lots of yummy mummy pics of MN for me to feel over please.

Am boiling hot!! Have just been ironing for two hours. How can one child have sooo many clothes? Wonder if it's anything to do with my addiction to spending. Had better slow down now that the clothes aren't going to be re-used by DC2.

We've agree on one name so far....Louis (Louie but DP likes it with an S). What do you think? Honest opinions - is he destined to a life as Pooey Louis?
