Hi ladies, sorry haven't been posting, also haven't read the recent posts, am SHATTERED, having a tough week at work plus have started all the antenatal class stuff this week which is 3 night tue to thurs. Gutted Ei & Sparkly aren't coming, thought it was too good to be true

Am looking at getting the 10am train which gets into waterloo at 11.34, is that ok?
Please would Fruity or Teehee text me if not? And can I be really cheeky and ask one of you to text me with final meeting up arrangements? I doubt I'll manage to log on tom, HIDEOUS day at work followed by dinner at J's aunt & uncle's then I'll go dtraight from theirs to the station on sat morning. Sorry for the ME post, too exhausted to catch up right now, was up til gone midnight last night then up again at 5... Guess it's good practice for me though!

See some of you on saturday then!! CAN'T WAIT!!

mibbes · 19/06/2009 07:28

Thanks Sparkly I am soooo excited

scully · 19/06/2009 08:41

Shame Lola, you sound shattered, hope things slow down for you soon
TT concert sounds great, Pink is currently touring here, would love to see her again but think the concert would just be too noisy, with 3wks to go and the baby's hearing so developed now. Saw her 18mths ago though and she was fantastic.
Went to the Pregnancy/Baby/Kids expo today, was good, glad I didn't pay to get in but got some stuff to read and an idea of what companies are around, doing different things. Not impressed though, went to get the pram out of the boot at the train station this morning, and it won't open properly. It's a Maclarens and I've had it since dd2 was born so it's 3.5yrs old but I was so hoping it would last through this baby as well.....dh is going to look at it on the weekend do hopefully it's fixable. Also, cot and moses basket mattresses are ready to be picked up tomorrow, so I can set up the basket in our room tomorrow
Suppose I had better get up and get the dd's dinner, being very slack tonight and they are getting soup and toast, too tired to be cooking anything else

SparklyPseudonym · 19/06/2009 14:14

Afternoon all,
As Lola mentioned, I'm not going to be able to make it on Saturday . I hadn't told DP I was planning on coming as we don't usually do anything on weekends and last night he told me he had an overnight sitter and we were going away to celebrate the end of my degree...he's already paid for the hotel so can't afford to lose that money and pay an additional £65 for my train ticket. Am gutted to be missing you all.
Scully and Georgie Are you counting down the days now?
Ei Sorry to see you won't be there either. Am keeping all crossed to see you with a bump at the next meet up.
Lola Hope you get some time to yourself to relax.
Fruity LOL at the thought of you following TT. Bet it was well worth it though .
Piper Will try and get pics on this evening so you can have a nose. When is your scan?
Cricri DD is thrilled to be having a blue one but I think she had her heart set on a sister. We went to buy some blue things together which she enjoyed.
Teehee Is N any better? I hope so.

Have updated the bottom half of the list. Hello to everyone else.

Such a shame so many of you can't make it tomorrow

I've had a look at the map of St James' Park and thought that the "Inn The Park" Cafe looks quite nice

The nearest tube station is St.James'Park. The cafe is just over the lake. You go right after the bridge and follow the path until you see the cafe on your left. You can download the map here

Shall we meet here at 12?

BellaHarry · 19/06/2009 17:03

Hi ladies, hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow! I'll try to get on here properly and catch up Mon. Have a good weekend one and all

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 19/06/2009 18:50

Hello your gorgeous lot. Just wanted to wish you all lovely weather and a fab time tomorrow. Hope it all goes smoothly. I want all the gossip please . Oh, and some pics if anyone brings a camera.

Really sorry I can't be with you, but will make up for it in Sept when we have our next get together at my gaff.

Will post properly this weekend as there's been so much good news on here lately that I want to say yipppeeeee to everyone personally.

Lots of love. G xxxxxx

teeheelaydee · 19/06/2009 19:22

Gutted that Ei and Sparkly are aren't coming tomorrow but am so looking forward to seeing everyone else. Am a little nervous about the journey with N but am sure he will be fine.

He seems to have been much better the last couple of days so fingers crossed and we had our first successful reusable nappy experience today, although obviously it will be disposables all the way tomorrow.

Fruity the cafe looks lovely and 12 is about right for our train.

Sparkly Have a marvellous romantic trip. What a little sweetie hey? V/jealous of TT and James Morrison actually. You've had quite a marvellous week young lady.

Ei Fingers crossed that this is your month. Although if it's not I think is't perfectly reasonable for you to have one of your friends twins.

Mollie Hope you're still chanting. I am, in fact N's first words are going to be "Nothing going to go wrong for Auntie Molliemooma"!

Georgie You sound very cheery this evening. Occured to me today that you are moving whilst traffic jam fortnight is on, will that make it more of a nightmare.

Piper Your nursery looks rather scary with 2 cots in it, but absolutely lovely. It still blows my mind that you are having 2, not as much as it does yours I would imagine.

Scully Well done to your little superstar. v/impressed that you are still tackling exhibitions with only 3 weeks to go, which I cannot believe, where has the time gone. Moses basket is the final step, makes it seem real. The fact that you walk past it empty each day and can't quite get over the fact that it will have a LO in it soon. Very soon!

Hello to anyone I may have missed. We will be thinking of you all tomorrowxx

FruitynNutty · 19/06/2009 20:15

I know, it's such a shame they won't make it

We really must arrange a proper get-together for everyone, Scully, start saving lady! Mibbes you're not that far away
Really, we have to do this, no backing out.
I'm more than happy to make a weekend of it somewhere where we can all get to - London is just too far for everyone to get to. I'm thinking more Liverpool sort of area?

Teehee, Lola and cricri I'm so looking forward to seeing you all. Especially the bubbas!
Georgie We'll try and remember to take pics!

cricri · 19/06/2009 20:20

Just a quickie from me to say that I'm also sorry that Sparkly and Ei can't make it tomorrow after all, I was really looking forward to meeting you both Shame Georgie and Bella can't make it either, but hopefully see you both in September
Thanks for posting those links Fruity. Inn the Park is lovely - I went to the restaurant a few years ago and had a lovely meal there. The weather isn't looking great unfortunately, but hopefully it will be better than forecast. As Teehee said, we should be there just after 12 as the train should get in just before 11.30 (although you never know with National Express East Anglia ) Whoever gets there first bag a table as it can get quite busy! Looking forward to tomorrow - I'm also a bit nervous about Elise's first time on public transport but I'm sure it will be fine! At least Teehee and I can help each other out if need be.
Hello to everybody else and have a lovely weekend

scully · 20/06/2009 06:55

Have a lovely catchup today ladies, am very envious We used to work at Victoria and know the St James' Park area well, the solicitor we used for our property purchases was near there.
Been a bit slack today and haven't picked up the mattresses, will do it tomorrow. Instead took the dd's to the airport to say goodbye to my sister and bil who are o/s for 4wks. Then went to a nearby Westfield shopping centre to do a few jobs, then stopped in at my dad's house for an hour, as I was already that side of town. Consequently can't be a**sed doing anything else today
dh has taken dd1 to the shops to get something for dinner tonight, which he is cooking, and dd2 is sleeping so I have a peaceful house, for a little while.

scully · 20/06/2009 07:48

Sorry, can't resist showing you where we are staying next weekend for 3 nights
mantra
and we will visit here which is also at the Gold Coast. If you click on the attractions link, you will easily pick the two areas we will spend most of our time, Wiggles World and Nickelodean Central But I also think Tiger Island and the Imax theatre may get a look in as well, good places for me to sit and rest I think
Should we be tempting fate by leaving Brisbane for 3 nights, the hospital I'm booked into is just over an hour away. But there are 2 public maternity hospitals I know of, on the way, should need them

Molliemooma · 20/06/2009 08:16

Just a quickie as I'm off out in a minute, but that park looks gorgeous so Have a fantastic time I second what Georgie said lots of pictures please!
Good luck on the public transport especially CriCri & TeeHee
Will post properly later

piper84 · 20/06/2009 11:33

I'm really looking forward to our next meet-up now.

I even got to try on cricri's Close baby carrier. I'm now going to buy one Just put my BabaSling on Ebay and am going to find someone on MN to buy my Moby.

I'm also on the lookout for a new baby changing bag. Crap selection in Peter Jones I really like the Babymel ones but not sure if they're big enough. Great value for money though. Have any of you preg ladies got you bags yet? Or are you going to settle with the Boots freebie? I've discovered it's not quite big enough for all my gubbins

FruitynNutty · 20/06/2009 22:15

Just uploaded a few pics on FB

SmilingEi · 21/06/2009 00:05

Molliemooma · 21/06/2009 18:52

Fruity Love the photo's on FB, can't believe you managed to get one of Lola she told me she would be avoiding the camera at all costs!
Lola Thanks for the ones you text me yesterday too
EII am on countdown to Saturday already in my head
TeeHee Lol at N's first words being "Nothing going to go wrong for Auntie Molliemooma!" Thank you
Sparkly How is L?

So glad you all had a good time, I did think about you all yesterday. Has anyone got any advice on rashes I have a rash all over the back of my hands, very itchy and swollen and it goes overnight but reappears in the morning, not changed any products. Do you think I should ignore it or get it checked out? Don't want to appear too neurotic!

cricri · 21/06/2009 20:00

Evening all!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I certainly did The meet-up yesterday was lovely, it was great to see Fruity, Lola and Teehee again and to meet little Jack and Noah, who are so cute! Teehee and I got on ok on public transport and it wasn't as nerve-wracking as we'd feared. It also helped having each other for moral support. Elise and Noah were both very good on the train too and interested in everything that was going on. We missed our train on the way back (too busy chatting and lost track of time!) but just caught a later one so that was OK. Photos on FB if anybody wants to take a look
Fruity Glad you've decided to buy the Close baby carrier, they're great.
I'm definitely up for a weekend meet-up next time - sounds fab!
Had a lovely day today too - went out for lunch with DH, Elise, my mum, sister and BIL for fathers' day and also an early birthday celebration and we had a lovely meal
Scully I'm very of where you're going next weekend! Hope you have a fab time.
Mollie Not sure about the rash. Maybe get it checked out just to be reassured? Especially if it's uncomfortable.
Ei Fingers crossed all the BDing has worked this month
Hello to everyone else!

Molliemooma · 21/06/2009 20:13

CriCri Happy birthday for tomorrow

BellaHarry · 21/06/2009 20:59

Glad the meet up went well ladies! Fb photos look good, weather seemed ok? Better than I had
In rainy Suffolk! I'm so coming to the next meet, babe in tow
I suppose.

I am hopefully working my last week this week, asked to leave
A week earlier than planned; Head Master didn't say yes
Or no so fingers crossed, should hear by Tue.

Love to all, x x

mibbes · 21/06/2009 21:56

Ladies - loving the photos on FB, you all look fabby and your bubbas are all gorgeous

Take That were AMAZING ! I had a great night, had a load of wine then sang and danced like an idiot, quality fun !

I would sooo love to meet you all. If you go somewhere North(ish) then who knows, maybe I'll join you !! I am supposed to be meeting Ei this week but not sure I'll make Thu now... how long are you here for missus ? What are your plans while you are here ? Send me a FB msg if you get a chance.

Molliemooma · 22/06/2009 11:33

Well I had a bit of a scare this morning, got into work and started spotting, went into full panic mode, nothing in between Couldn't get hold of my midwife so managed to get a cancellation at GP surgery. Fell apart again with the Doctor, he was very unsure whether to try listening to the HB as I'm only 15 wks tomorrow and he was worried that if he couldn't find it, he would set me off again In the end we listened and heard it! Although I think he must have thought I was a bit wierd, one minute I'm a babbling wreck the next he's going can you hear that and all I can say with a deadpan expression is uh huh, he said that's your baby's hb, uh huh is all I could reply again I so wish I could deal with these things calmly and rationally and not go into full melt down So no explanation for spotting (which seems to have eased) but I'm feeling much better now I've heard the HB, just like to listen to it all day now Work sent me home, so it's feet up on sofa for the rest of the day.

Hope everyone else is OK?

FruitynNutty · 22/06/2009 13:08

Bloody hell Mollie, are you ok now? That must have been terrifying
I'm so pleased all is well, don't worry what the doc thought! Must have been such a relief to say the least!

Mibbes - Sounds like you had a fab night with TT!

Bella - I hope you get to finish early. Those last few weeks are quiet a strain. It wasn't so bad for me as I didn't have to commute anywhere.

Cricri! Happy birthday! Are you having a fabby day? What did you get?????

Ei - Well I hope you've hit jackpot this time, especially after the HSG! I'll be crossing my fingers until Sat for you!

HerNameWasLola · 22/06/2009 15:20

Afternoon all

Am on the shite laptop again, so apologies for any errors, it?s the computer?s fault!

Mollie so sorry to hear you had a scare, but YIPPEEEEE for hearing the hb! Fantastic! Sometimes we just have spotting for no reason, messes with our heads but thankfully not with our babies Glad you got to see someone so quickly though. Feet firmly up for you this afternoon my love!

Sorry ladies, just had a phone call and now need to run home quickly, will be back in a bit! xx
