Hi Spikey, welcome. Do you think it might be an implantation bleed?

dino55 · 10/06/2003 09:22

Spikey, my mom had light bleeding every month whilst she was carrying me. Good luck anyway.LucieB how are you getting on, what day in your cycle is it today?

LucieB · 10/06/2003 09:26

Am on day 28 today. Bit of stomach ache but nothing like the cramps I usually get before my period. However, boobs feel fine and not feeling sick or anything so expecting to come on in the next few days....

Came on properly late last night after all . DH tried feeble tongue in cheek attempt to cheer me up by saying the FA cup wasn't won overnight. Going in search of chocolate.

LucieB · 10/06/2003 13:20

Spikey
So sorry that things haven't worked out for you this month I am sure I will be joining the ranks of the disappointed in a few days time. Dot, Bayleaf, Jane, Elliot, dino, quackers, bunny2 and everyone else - how are you all getting on?

quackers · 10/06/2003 13:37

Hi LucieB! Do you normally get sore boobs before a period? You say you just have the cramps. Do you stillhave your headache?
I'm doing fine thanks. I have had such bad PMT the last 2 periods after m/c and thought I should do something about it. I have started exercising again 4 times a week for 25-30 mins and I feel great - no pmt - so far!! I laways get it 10 days before and it's a real pain! Oh and defo not pg as we haven't done anything this month! Saving ourselves for next time!
By the way welcome Spikey - another Persona pal! I strated using again last month it's great isn't it! I know exactly when I'm ovulating and we'll be doing it from day 10 next month. My last 2 were both conceived on day 11!!!

elliott · 10/06/2003 13:52

lucieB - graduated a while ago - see Nov/Dec babies thread - but doing fine, thanks

Really hoping to hear some positive news soon from the others who've been here from the start...

bunny2 · 10/06/2003 19:06

Bad luck Spikey, we all nkow what you're feeling right now.

Fingers crossed for you LucieB. Thanks for thinking of me, I am eagerly awaiting a period so I can start on my Clomid. Having an irregular cycle is such a pain, I could come on tomorrow or next month. .

hewlettsdaughter · 10/06/2003 19:41

Hi spikey, hope the chocolate helped (at least for a while!). Hello everyone else (you all seem to be Persona users!). I have decided against using Persona as my current problem does not seem to be getting pregnant, it's staying pregnant . I'm going by the 'every couple of days through most of the cycle' theory - though don't know how long this cycle is going to be...might be in for a long haul...

jodee · 10/06/2003 20:40

Sorry to read your news, Spikey Good luck for next month and the same to everyone else - I think we will be going hell for leather next month, but I think I'm being slightly too optimistic that the HSG has worked wonders ...

sibble · 10/06/2003 20:53

Well am definately not pregnant, period started yesterday. They are so much more painful since the m/c and PMT lets not even go there!! Polished off a bottle of wine to make me feel better and now have stomach pains and nausea along with a huge hangover - not very smart and certainly don't feel better. Did get a job yesterday though. Had been putting off getting one since arriving in NZ as thought would be pg but need to take mind off it and you know what they say - get a job and get pg (lets hope). 9.30-2.30 3 days/week to fit in with DS's kindy - great hours.
I really kick myself for throwing my personna away when I left the UK as it would be really helpful now. Used to use it not to get pg and never thought I would need it again.
Well, still fingers crossed for everybody else for this month.
Have to go back in 2 months to check on my cyst but they reassured me it would not stop me getting pg - so feel a bit better about that as well.

dino55 · 10/06/2003 22:20

Hi LucieB, im due on about mon/tues, my boobs are aching but mostly at the sides so i really dont think im pg this time.I do sometimes have aching boobs like this about a week before im due.Are you going to do a test or just wait alittle longer?

LucieB · 11/06/2003 09:26

Hi - well I am on day 29 (according to Persona but day 30, according to me, as bought Persona the day I started my last period and started really on day 2! Have a bit of tummy ache but no real signs other than that, although am feeling rather pessimistic about it all. Not going to do a test till after the weekend as I have had a 36 day cycle before.

dino55 · 11/06/2003 09:29

Do you normally have tummy ache before you come on?

M2T · 11/06/2003 09:34

Dino55 - any knews yet? You said you were due Mon/Tues..... fingers-crossed for you all.

dino55 · 11/06/2003 09:49

M2T i am due early next week, so still hoping, but i dont feel it, just will keep on trying along with everyone else.

LucieB · 11/06/2003 10:05

yes, normally have tummy ache but its usually a lot worse. As I ovulated quite late, am expecting that my period will therefore be late. Wish I was regular - will look forward to hearing how you get on with the chlomid, bunny2, and the HSG, jodee. What is the HSG for? What does it do?
Bayleaf, how are you getting on? Fingers crossed, dino!

dot1 · 11/06/2003 11:33

Hi - I'm still here! Been quite quiet recently as I couldn't have a go this month due to being away - but we're determined that nothing will stop an attempt next month!

Bit down because I've been doing ovulation sticks this month and didn't get a strong line at all - even though I had a great temperature dip/rise, + lots of mucus at the right time. All very confusing/depressing. I got a really strong line last month - maybe I'm only ovulating sporadically?

So, fingers crossed everyone - Jane and Bayleaf, how are you doing?

LucieB · 11/06/2003 11:37

Dot, good to hear from you. Sorry to hear you are down about things. Completely understand how you feel re confusing signals and not being quite sure whether you are ovulating or not. Have you tried persona? I had no joy with the ovulation sticks but persona is a lot easier to use. There are a number of us on this thread who are using it....fingers crossed.

quackers · 11/06/2003 12:25

Yes I had real trouble with ovulation sticks. I had to hold on to my wee for up to four hours! I need the toilet about every hour usually so it didn't work. Persona however is first thing and measures the same hormone and it give s agood blue line.
Dot 1 - at least you got the other symptoms though so I wouldn't worry about your test sticks!!

dot1 · 11/06/2003 13:12

Hi,

I've thought about using Persona, but it's around £65 to buy, and I know those of you having to have really expensive treatment will think I'm bonkers, but it seems like quite a lot of money... dp and I usually find ourselves out of money each month, so it's quite a lot to find. But I might put a post out to see if anyone's got one I could have a bit cheaper, as I'd quite like to try it.

Did I say (I can't remember..!) that we looked into getting our donor's sperm frozen and stored in London, so we could definitely try each month, but were disappointed that you have to wait 6 months for the testing period - it's a standard length of time and just feels too long to have to wait. Also, our donor would have to 'donate' around 15 times, so we're not sure whether he would! It's around £900 aswell, which is another problem... So, the plan is to stick to me travelling when I can and in the long term I am looking for a job in the same city as him (not for this reason - we're all from there so dp and I feel its time to go back to our roots - and near to grandparents!), so it should be easier once we've moved.

elliott · 11/06/2003 13:36

dot1, can't be that expensive in comparison to all those trips to Manchester, surely??

quackers · 11/06/2003 15:05

Hi again!!
I've just remembered Dot1 - Luchar was giving one away/selling cheap on the 'feelings after m/c thread'. If you put a call out for her on there I'm sure she'll oblige. You can just reset it then and hey presto - instant ovulation kit!

spikey · 11/06/2003 15:57

Hi Dot1, check out the Persona thread, Mo2 had one for sale too so you might be lucky.
