Medee · 13/10/2009 20:48

thanks MonkeyBum, that's useful to know. Might give it another cycle on our own and then go and invest.

cyncan · 14/10/2009 05:17

Hi Ladies.. Well I am on CD 14, waiting for peak on day 21. I am a bit frustrated though.. it seems that everyone I know is pregnant except for me.. babies are popping all over the place.. This will be our fourth month trying... I know I shouldn't despair, but it just sucks to see so many of my friends/relatives/acquaintances all over the place being pregnant. Why can't it be me?

Sorry for the rant... I just need to vent a little.

Baby dust to all....

monkeybumsmum · 14/10/2009 09:10

Morning all!

Cyncan I know exactly how you feel. It just doesn't seem fair does it? We decided in March '08 to start trying for number 2, and here we are over a year and a half later and still trying, while soooo many people I know in RL seem to get pg just by their dh's/dp's looking at them. Got told by dh last night that yet another one of our friends are expecting. It should be us cyncan, and it will be soon x

Amberc Hello, and welcome You have certainly come to the right place! I have had the same response re the monitor - think maybe it's because people assume we're just getting obsessed, whereas I think it actually enables us to be less obsessed! My dh used to think like that, and had a huge hang-up about me possibly starting to take my temperature every day etc and therefore it all becoming 'unspontaneous' - now he doesn't care that I POAS a lot of mornings... He's even walked past a pot of pee sitting on the side of the bath and not batted an eyelid It is such a good idea to use the monitor, but I suppose for people who aren't in our position and who don't know the ins and outs of ttc then it might seem a little weird!
Lots of luck on your 2ww, I hope this will be a good month for you!

Medee Is definately a good idea! Come back and join us won't you...

Hi to everyone else How are you all?
I am on CD7 and just realised that dh is going away next week and might be away over my peak days. After that ds and I are going to join him, and are all going to a caravan in Wales with my dad. Cannot imagine how on earth we shall get down to business there, what with ds in the same room, paper thin walls and dad next door Oh My God. Any tips on surreptitious shagging?

Amberc · 14/10/2009 11:19

Well monkey - if you REALLY need to do it my suggestion is that your DH erm...get himself to the point of no return and then hop on! That'll stop the bed squeaking!

monkeybumsmum · 14/10/2009 13:25

Amber That makes it easy for me too, hooray!!! Not sure dh will be too impressed.........

Amberc · 14/10/2009 15:13

Yeah but I'm sorry to say procreational sex isn't necessarily that exciting anyway (not for me!). PS - have been feeling really weird today. Too close to ovulation to be any kind of PG symptom but I have been getting excited and feel dizzy and I never have before. Thinking it might be due to moving into a new house at the beginning of November. Also lack of sleep! MUST NOT GET EXCITED

monkeybumsmum · 14/10/2009 16:42

When is AF due? Have my fingers crossed for you x

cyncan · 14/10/2009 16:44

Thanks monkeybumsmum, lets keep on hoping that we will be next.

How is everyone else today?? Any of you testing soon?

xoxo

Amberc · 14/10/2009 16:53

God, AF is not due for 10 days!

bubbalewy · 16/10/2009 09:47

OMFG omg omg CD13 and ive got a peak, the stick had been in the cbfm for about an hour as well! i havent got excited about looking as its mostly on a high, what a shock, 1st peak since mc and the baby would of been born next month!!
And DTD last night if id of known i wouldn`t of stood up straight away
Shall i join the July thread hmmmm dont want to temp fate.. But miss the 2ww iykwim xx

Amberc · 16/10/2009 10:18

What does DTD stand for? Good luck with making the most of your peak bubbalewy!Fingers crossed!

bubbalewy · 16/10/2009 10:25

Amberc.. its doing the deed! bloody acronyms, id rather just write sex lol but iv got into MN language as iv been here so long.. I just had to tell everyone iv ovulated as i feel normal again x

monkeybumsmum · 16/10/2009 15:40

Bubba Hooray!!! It's a fab feeling getting a peak! Let's hope that last nights activity did the trick! Don't worry re standing up too soon - the first time I got pg last year I'd got up straight away and raced to the loo as was going out... Those swimmers can be quite determined

Have just spent a fortune at Lakeland on totally unecessary things like a potato bag Don't know what's wrong with me at the mo - just want to shop, shop, shop. Perhaps it's the weather?

Hello to all

monkeybumsmum · 16/10/2009 15:42

oops...unnecessary things I do know how to spell, honest!

Amberc · 16/10/2009 16:23

Lakeland has been the downfall of many a woman. It's more addictive than online gambling! I could happily spend a million pounds in there.

I see the halloween emoticons are back

I just did a pregnancy test at -7 days - why???! I think it's 'cos I ws bored and sure that if they really worked at -6 days one extra day wouldn't make a difference. Clearly negative but my own fault as getting excited about period pains a week early. hmmm [silly arse emoticon]

barrenbrook · 16/10/2009 17:06

Hey ladies!

How are you all? Hope everyone is well.

Bubbalewy YEY on the peak!!!! Woo Hoo! exciting! It's funny how excited we get over a little egg and three bars coming up on the monitor! I yelped when I got my first one, I was in the shower watching it and DH came into the bathroom and asked if I was alright as he thought I'd hurt myself

Amberc Welcome! I've added you to the list, you just need to fill in the bits I've missed off your stats. I completely agree with you about the procreational sex, it's just not as fun, I don't know why though, perhaps we just put too much pressure on ourselves.

I'm in my 2WW now, TBH, DH and I haven't been on it much this month, too many other things going on as we're moving next week and I think we've both been a bit stressed. getting in the BD for a high and two peak days was bloody hard work this month!

I've tried to update the list, I think it's right, there might be a mistake or two, adding up isn't my strong point!

Hi Barrenbrook I'm actually on cycle 8 - if only I was on cycle 2!

Amberc TTC#2 Cycle 8 (CBFM) Age 36 UCL 26 CD 19

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a chemical pregnancy?

barrenbrook · 17/10/2009 08:39

Amberc I thought you had said in an earlier post that you were Cycle 8 TTC but only on Cycle 2 using CBFM. Sorry, probably my mistake, will amend.

The term Chemical Pregnancy is used for a very early miscarriage, usually up to about 6 weeks I think.

Vikks · 17/10/2009 14:24

I?m back! Time flys when you?re having fun. I hope everyone is staying strong and postivie, I?m up-to-date just finished reading up what I missed?.
First things first?.Hello Amberc, nice to ?meet? you. Hold off on those tests if you can!

I?m on CD 32 and on the two week wait. I got my ?peaks? CD 26 & 27!!!!! How late? Oh well, at least I got one. The BDing was pentlyful on holiday so I?ve got everything crossed now. Doc?s Tuesday for the ?next stage? talk, I?m feeling pretty scared about that. DH is coming with me in case I start blubbing and can?t talk (which is extremely likely ). Just hope he doesn?t surprise me with another op I should have, we will see. Wish me luck.

There?s a few of us on the 2WW. When are we all testing? I?m gonna try and wait until Monday 26th.

barrenbrook · 17/10/2009 16:26

Vikks - Welcome back! Good to hear you had a good holiday and got lots of shagging BD'ing in!

Will be thinking of you on Tuesday, I shall keep my fingers crossed that there are no nasty surprises and that it's good news all round.

If AF doesn't show then I will be testing Fri 30th.... I'm expecting her this month as we've only managed to fit it in 4 times over the two high and two peak days, rather pathetic attempt really, oh well, there's always next month

Have a good weekend ladies. Strictly and X Factor for me!

babyinacorner · 17/10/2009 18:14

barrenbrook - 4 times over the high and peak days!!! sounds fab to me..that's me on a good month. will keep everything crossed for you xx

monkeybumsmum · 17/10/2009 18:17

'Only' barrenbrook My god, you put me to shame! Fingers crossed AF stays away.

Vikks Lovely to have you back, I shall also be thinking of you on Tuesday and am wishing you lots of luck. Hope it is all positive and that you come out with a plan. Well done for getting your dh to go with you - I couldn't persuade mine to come last appt, and so wish I had.

Have to go to get ds fed and bathed before X factor. Priorities priorities and all that............
Have a great Sunday all!
