babyinacorner · 16/07/2009 20:10

Hello everyone

Most importantly - salander - have you tested again yet!!?

well 1 day into the 2ww and am already thinking has it worked, am i pregnant etc etc every 2 minutes. I will literally be insane in 2 weeks time.

engelbart - have you had both of your peak days yet?

mamabelli · 16/07/2009 20:15

trixel lol at your dh shaking you by the ankles - must've worked then!

salander sorry about bfn but not over til af arrives so keep the faith!

hello to everyone else - didn't realise you couldn't go back a page while writing message doh!! found out the hard way and lost my post grrrr

engelbart · 16/07/2009 22:34

Hello everyone.

Baby- yes had both my peaks and a high today. Last month we weren't able to do it during the final high of the month so am determined to do it today! DH however, is complaining of being tired . I think he may have to be persuaded I will be the same, madly sympton spotting, getting my hopes up only to have them crash....

Salander - let us know if you test again!

Mamabelli - hope you remembered to be horizontal for 30 mins afterwards!

Hope everyone else is OK. Are you lurking cyncan?!

Trixel · 16/07/2009 22:42

hmmm yes, where is cyncan?? maybe she's a bit comfy in her cocoon. cmon cyncan, you can come out for us.
salander - have you held out? i'm getting a bit excited for you now, but praps i ought to rein myself in! just let us know when you do test!
engel and mamabelli - go on little swimmers, swim like you've never swum before!!!!!! (just a little pep talk for the soldiers there)
first test of the month for me this morning - low as expected. might be high by sunday or monday i guess. off up to the wilds of scotland on saturday for a week, so will have to pin dh down at every available opportunity!!
off to bed now to watch a bit of west wing! night night girls xx

cyncan · 17/07/2009 02:47

Hi Ladies!!

I have been cocooning!! My sister in law is in town, so entertaining her and busy working days have kept me away from writing you all!

But I am still here, tomorrow should be CD6.. so cocooning is coming to an end.. FINALLY!

I have updated our list, for tomorrow (for today for you ladies)

I have noticed my cycle is the longest!?! I really hope it is normal..!!

xoxo to all!! missed you ladies, glad to be back!!

Morning ladies

Excitement over, i'm afriad, AF has arrived! So back to the monitor and on CD1 again.

Cyncan - don't worry about cycle lengths. Everyone's different, i guess, and everythings obviously working so thats cool.

Baby - aye, that 2WW is brutal!

Back to peeing on a fecking stick again.

Loved the 'swimmers' pep talk! So funny.

Keep the heid girls, all will be well. XXX

engelbart · 17/07/2009 09:36

Maybe next month will be your lucky month salander .

cyncan- glad to see you are back, wondered where you'd gone! I've heard that any cycle length from 25-35 is pretty normal. It's if you start having regular mammoth cycle lengths that you need to worry, ie 50/60 days. Which obviously you're not having! I normally have a 29 day cycle but its been known to increase to the odd 32 day before, I think this is also pretty normal. Very annoying though when you're waiting for AF or to do a test.

Trixel - hope you have a great break with plenty of bedding! You'll be bedding just as I start cocooning!

Well managed to 'persuade' DH last night so have done as much as I can this month. Now the dreadful waiting game. Have promised myself that I'm not going to count cycle days or do any early testing. Will try to pretend its a normal month!

cyncan · 17/07/2009 16:07

So CD6... and no POAS! I guess the little machine also thinks it knows my cycle now! hope you all are having a great day!!

engel Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! Hope this is your month!

salander keep the hopes up!! I was a bit bummed this past month with AF's arrival.. but hey.. it is a new beginning and hopes are back up for this new round!

mamabelli good luck to you too!!! hope the swimmers are doing their job!

trixel are you POAS already?

XOXO to all!

bigbrofan · 17/07/2009 21:24

hi all and welcome to all the newbies... well i peaked today - yay!!! day 14. glad its the weekend, lots of bd'ing to be had.
i have felt so tired the last few days - dont know if that is something to do with ovulation or if im crazy..hahah!!
if i bd at night i stay in bed obvioulsy and go to sleep therefore staying horizontal all night but if its during th eday i try to stay horizontal with bum elevated for at least 20mins...

morning ladies - just updated the list, hope everyone's details are correct.

bigbrofan - hope you have a fun weekend! good timing for ovulation -mine always seems to happen on a monday, possibly the worst day to feel up for a bit of b'd'ing!

IMPORTANT TIP -read this in a magazine and you probably know it but will share just in case - after sex you tend to retain about 35% of the sperm - however if you make sure you have an orgasm straight after he has you retain about 70% and obviously it helps draw the swimmers in the right direction! Well even if it doesn't work it's a good excuse

Trixel -hope you are having a great weekend too..

cyncan -it's nearly time to emerge from that cocoon and engage in a bit of horizontal dancing

salander -sorry af got you

engelbart -well done you for doing the deed on the high day after peak -hopefully that will have sealed the deal.

mamabelli -well you should be due a rest after the last couple of peak days! surely the weekend should be spent lying on the sofa letting the swimmers do their job

Hi to everyone else and has anyone else got any bits of ttc advice??

engelbart · 18/07/2009 10:44

Thanks for updating the list baby, definitely the right details for me

Sounds like everyone has been busy!

Thanks for the tip Baby, anything helps!

Hi ladies!!!
engel you beat me to the list!! I was modifying it and when I refreshed the page... your list was up!

I think we all had a pretty eventful weekend, since this place seemed very desolate!! But I don't think anyone has given up yet!!

POAS this morning... CD9.. Still have a long way to go for my peak.. I am guessing peak will come day 21 like last month!!

trixel fancy!! I will try to get this on my blackberry!! I didn't know it worked there!! Make the most out or your highs/peak!

baby will follow the tip.. last time I O'ed before DH!! Will try to synchronize this time around!!

engelbart · 21/07/2009 08:39

Well its till 8 days til AF due and am already bored of waiting! I have loads of cheapy ebay tests which are meant to pick up pregnancy from 8-10 days post ouvlation, but having been down that route previously have decided its not worth all the misery!

How's everyone else?

Is there lots of stick testing going on?

bigbrofan · 21/07/2009 12:32

hi all,

well i am on day 18 now and back down to low. so done all i can do this month again.... trying to stay positive.

its so hard resisting trying to test. i have wasted god knows how much in the last 5 months. bummer.

my monitor was different this month, it asked me to test both peak day and the hnigh day following the peak. last month - once i peaked it didnt ask me for a test again is that normal??

xxx

engelbart · 21/07/2009 13:38

bigbrofan- my monitor always asks me to test on both peak days and the day after which is always high. It sounds like its now doing the right thing with you!

I so don't feel pregnant. Am gutted. Have done everything right this month, including cutting out caffeine and alcohol, taking vitamin pills etc. Not sure what else I can do . Am thinking of doing a babyinthecorner and not using the machine. We'll see.

salander · 21/07/2009 14:46

Know how you feel, engel, its such a long time and no fecking guarantees at the end of it.

Still here too, def not given up but trying not to fixate on things too much or will go mental. Think peeing on a stick will start in 2 days for me.

Chin up all!

cyncan · 21/07/2009 16:16

Don't give up ladies!! CD10 here. Second day POAS and already got a high.... I am guessing it will read high till I peak on day 20-21... Does the same thing happen to you guys? Or is high closer to your peak days!?

babyinacorner · 21/07/2009 17:49

engelbart - snap! came on here to have a rant myself! Not feeling pregnant at all. in fact feel exactly the same as I do every month just before af. Really hacked off with the whole thing now My only trick up my sleeve now is to try fertility acupuncture and i'm tempted to just do bd'ing every other day over a longer period.

sorry for the selfish post just don't know what else I can do now
