Good idea! Lets all just add our own! We can copy and paste into a list as we go along!

I shall kick it off (lets put it in order of CD day - so we can watch out for those ppl ready to test)

I went to the Nurse yesterday as I am getting a bit stressed out with trying to conceive, think its almost 8 months! She said the CBFM is so accurate - they dont need to do OV tests as I am obv OV!

My DP is going to the docs today to discuss a sperm check! Has anyone else had there DP do this - I am so scared if there is a prob!

We would both be devastated - I am so worried for him incase he gets a wee shock! He is so confident in thinking he will be ok!

Hi newmember, oh it's a worry isnt it, but better to get checked out and then you know for sure. chances are there isnt a problem at all. don't they say that the average is about 12mths to conceive? it's just that we tend to hear more about the people that catch on quickly, because those that are taking longer don't tend to tell everybody about it.
that's really good news that the CBFM is so accurate they don't need to check you out.
has DP been to the docs yet? do you know when his tests are? hopefully they can do it really soon, then you can relax that everything is fine, it's just taking a little time.
someone on another thread that i read said they'd checked out their hubbie's sperm under oldest kid's toy microscope, and saw them all swimming like fury - not sure that, apart from the swimming, we'd know what to look for though!!

Good morning ladies! I had a quick question for all of you, I bded the morning of my first peak (which was two days ago) and last night I noticed a faint line on my stomach...? Have any others had the same line!? I am just imagining things?!?

newmember I hope your hubby is fine, and it is just a matter of more time bding.

How is everyone else doing this morning?

Ladies - sorry to highjack but would like an opinion if you don't mind.
I used my cb monitor when ttc my ds - worked like a dream first time so I'm going to use it again.
Thing is since having him I get spotting for a few days before the full flow starts. Would you count that as day 1 or wait till full flow to start using the monitor?
Seem to have forgotton everything to do with ttc so need to get up to speed again!
Thanks!

cyncan · 30/06/2009 16:30

yogamat I think you need to start for the full flow before counting it as day 1. If you have had the monitor away for a while, I would call customer service to see if something needs to be done for it to work properly this second time around.

I meant you have to wait for the full flow...before counting it as CD1...

NewMember · 30/06/2009 18:55

Thank you Trixel

He has the doctors tonight just for a general chat about things - hopefully they will tlk to him about getting tested etc! He is feeling confident tho and is not worried at all. Think its ok just to check anyway!

Once I know, i will become more relaxed and maybe it will happen!

Thanx again!

cyncan · 30/06/2009 19:12

newmember hope the test goes well and there are no problems with you DH. I don't think so, it might just be stress that is keeping you guys from conceiving. Will keep my fingers crossed for you two!

xoxo

NewMember · 30/06/2009 19:43

Hi Ladies ...

Ok so DP just back from docs (he went to see about sperm check etc)

The doctor has said to put it off for few months before testing! He said with his weight/life style/ health etc there would be very little change of problems!

He advised that we CALM down a little bit, become more relaxed and consider turning my CBFM off for a few months - as it might be causing more stress and anxiety!

So... I think we will take his advice and see where we are in 3 months time!

Please Please work bofore then

cyncan · 30/06/2009 19:49

newmember glad to hear the problem is just stress related!! DO CALM DOWN! You might want to think about doing Yoga... apparently it helps you relax...

Cheers!

Trixel · 30/06/2009 19:56

hi yogamat, welcome! i agree with cyncan - count from full flow i think. but then i can hardly class myself as an expert in month 1!!
hey you're welcome newmember - i think one of my worries (although that might be overstating it, praps just a minorly amusing niggle) with the testing of our men's sperm would be what reading material they would be given to get them in the mood!!!
can you provide your own laminates!!?
anyway - just thought - yogamat you're not highjacking, all welcome in the CBFM cafe bar. if we're a cafe bar we can order virtuous herbal teas and decaf coffee most of the month, then knock back woo woos, rum & cokes, and flaming sambuccas when / if AF arrives!!
cyncan - i've never had that line, but people do get it later on in pregnancy, and i'm sure i heard of somebody having it really early on. i think this may be a bit too early on - but then again, everyone is different!! it's called linea nigra i think....
how's everyone else? how did work go engel?

xx

Trixel · 30/06/2009 19:59

oops, meant to copy and paste this on the bottom again, so it stays with us!!
was going to ask what PD was, but worked it out - Peak Day! clever cyncan! -----------CBFM List

baby AF STINKS!!! There is always this month now!! Don't despair!!!

Bigbrofan I think UCL is the length of your entire cycle (why UCL..no idea) CD is the cycle day you are currently on.

Since this is my first cycle, and haven't really kept track of my cycle, I don't have a clue how long my cycles usually last.. I PDed on the 21/22 so I am guessing my cycle will be around 40?!

Hope this helps!

Wow you ladies have all been very chatty today

Had a crap day at work today and looks like tomorrow will be more of the same. Was hoping I'd be pregnant by now and could look forward to maternity leave but its not to be. Started spotting today so expecting period to arrive in full flow tomorrow (will add my name to the list then!)

Feel a little down as I keep thinking about the 79% of women using the monitor will be pregnant in the second month of using it and of course this hasn't happened! Oh well will try and pull myself together!

Hope everyone is doing OK. Will try and be more cheerful tomorrow!

cyncan · 30/06/2009 21:19

engel sorry to hear about your crap day engel! Mine was like that yesterday! Don't lose hope!! Third time is a charm!

Morning ladies!

And well done NewMember on updating the list! Guess I should add myself.

Engelbert TTC#2 Cycle 2 (CBFM) UCL 28-29 CD29

Was reading in the paper today that before ttc men should have sex once a day for 7 days to get rid of any dodgy sperm. Slightly dubious about this. Article didn't say how often you should have sex to get pregnant so I'm still none the wiser.

Cyncan- I would have thought your cycle would be about 36 days, thats 14 days after you ovulated on days 21 and 22?

How's everyone else?

Oops got to go my boss has just walked in!

engelbart · 01/07/2009 08:54

Hi all

Seeing as I started the thread I thought I should pop in after a little while of trying to avoid my mnet obsession to say hi.

Anyone still here from the 1st few posts might remember me - I had 3 mcs at 5 wks+5days in Sept, Dec and April. They were all very faint bfps.

I finally got my very strong bfp 3 days before af due after 3 months of CB monitor, 2 months of temping and 2 months of homeopathy remedies!

lots of baby dust to you all - am praying I get past 5 +5 this time (currently 5+2...but feeling positive with a string bfp this time) x
