bigbrofan and trixel - really sorry to hear about your miscarriages too. I was 8 weeks when i discovered the baby had died between 7-8 weeks. Just didn't feel very pregnant and knew that something wasn't right. (even though i had had a scan at 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat) I had a d&c and got my period back 27 days later luckily. what's so annoying is that we weren't even trying to get pregnant and now that we are desperately trying nothing is happening!

I'm going to test on sat - day 25 of my cycle. really don't think anything is happening though!

I hope this is the month for us all - everything is crossed.

Jaggs - hello! I think it says in the booklet that the reason for not getting a peak day is either a test being performed incorrectly or possibly that you have not ovulated. Perhaps though as it's your first month the machine is getting used to your cycle. The m button has been flashing for me usually for about 4 days before i get my period.

Trixel · 22/06/2009 20:32

hi jaggs, welcome! i'm not sure about the no peak days thing - it's my first month too. i would have thought that it would just be a case of the system getting to know your body. we must all have different levels of hormone which signify highs and peaks, and it may well be that it takes a bit of time to get used to your levels.
anyone else watching wimbledon? love it!!

Jaggs · 22/06/2009 22:02

Hi all,
Thank you so much for your quick responses, I have to say its all such a mine field. I will keep an eye on it and let you all know it goes. Its amazed me how complex our bodies are and what I though my cycle was actually isn't, im so thankful for this little machine.
Good luck to everyone and keep me updated, its great to have such a forum !!!:-)

Hey ladies... day 16... 10 high fertility days but no peak yet... this is getting frustrating!!

engelbart · 23/06/2009 15:33

cyncan that is frustrating. But on the positive side I guess its good you are getting high days. Hope your peak comes soon! I on the other hand having had awful cramps for the past few days. AF not due til Saturday so not sure whats going on

cyncan · 23/06/2009 15:54

Engel, do you usually get cramps? Who knows, this might be your lucky month!!!!

NewMember · 23/06/2009 16:40

Hello everyone - what a stunning day!

Ok ... I am looking for a bit of advice! We are now going into our 7th month of TTC - almost our 4th month using the CBFM!

Over the last few months I have BD every night covering the before/druring/after OV - last month I think we BD 8 nights in a row!

Hmmmmmm - still nothing!

So, should I change it this month and do night on, night off? Running out of ideas! I must def be OV as my montior is picking up the surge!

Help!

cyncan · 23/06/2009 17:16

I would suggest to go on and off... that way your man can recharge the troups.. perhaps go on and off during the highs and everyday during the peak.

Good luck!

BellasYummyMummy · 23/06/2009 17:19

cyncan, very frustrating!!! but as engelbart said- good that you're getting highs! i didnt get a high til cd17 i think. Thats why you do 20 test sticks in the first month of using the monitor, hopefully it will pick up your LH surge soon!!

newmember, its still very early days in terms of how long it takes couples to conceive. if you are concerned pop along to your docs and say you have been TTC for more than a year, and you are ovulating according to the monitor- they may do some tests on your partners sperm, it could be that its better for you to BD every other day on your high days, then BD on your peak days.

its not as easy as people think, so dont despair just yet!!

cyncan · 23/06/2009 17:22

thanks Bellas! I will keep you posted if the LH surge shows up!!! Any news about you!? Hope you are getting closer to your BFP.

NewMember · 23/06/2009 19:13

Thanx for the advice Ladies - I am starting to worry a little!

I wont try so hard this time and see how I get on!

babyinacorner · 23/06/2009 20:45

NewMember - I completely sympathise, i'm slowly slipping into despair about the whole ttc thing. don't think this is the month either as got raging pmt, no sore boobs, no other pregnancy symptoms - aaarrrgh

Engelbart - wow that sounds really promising especially as you have had sore boobs as well! Are you testing tomorrow?

NewMember · 23/06/2009 20:48

Oh hopefully we will get there soon! Sigh

Trixel · 23/06/2009 21:00

oh blummin heck, it's horrid waiting for it to happen isnt it, but we'll get there!!!! it only takes one, and it WILL happen.
it better only take bloody one, as hubbie's ankle has prevented any BD'ing on our two peak days - what an absolute plonker, i could kill him!!!

cyncan · 23/06/2009 21:27

Oh no Trixel!!! I really thought the ankle was going to help out with the BDing!!! Baby and New member, please don't loose hope!! Things will happen!! I think we must keep the hopes up and the positive attitude!! It is very hard, but at least we all have each other to rant and keep us going!! So keep it up!

NewMember · 23/06/2009 21:30

x

babyinacorner · 23/06/2009 21:40

thanks cyncan - you are right

cyncan · 23/06/2009 22:17
Smile
engelbart · 23/06/2009 22:43

Baby- are you testing tomorrow? Think it would be a waste of a test if I did as have all the pre AF cramps. Sore boobs have gone though. Feel like my body is constantly playing tricks on me. What a let down! But like cyncan said must try and remain positive, there's always next month .

Newmember I'm in the same position as you, DH and I bedded every single day it was a high and a peak so non-stop bedding. Talk about exhausting. Next cycle am definitely going to do it every other day during high days and on both peak days. This should give the swimmers time to replenish!

Trixel, yes like you say it only takes one. You always here about women getting pregnant the one and only time they did it in a month, so it happens!

cyncan · 24/06/2009 15:39

Good morning ladies!! DC17 and still no peak... do you guys know if it is better to dip the sticks or to just do the three second stream?

engelbart · 24/06/2009 16:21

Hey Cyncan! Better to dip the sticks in a pot of wee. I certainly found this more effective.

Still time for a high cyncan, very frustrating though.

How's everyone else, any testing?

babyinacorner · 24/06/2009 17:16

Engelbart -just tested even though it's far too early - BFN. Don't think I am anyway but still gutted. There is still a glimmer of hope though I suppose? Did you test?

If it doesn't happen this month then I'm getting some of that pre-seed stuff for the next try and I'm considering acupuncture as well.

engelbart · 24/06/2009 18:56

sorry about the bfn baby, but like you say probably too early. I didn't test, know it will be a waste of time as have definite AF cramps. I never used to have cramps 2 weeks before my AF due, normally a couple of days beforehand but that was because I was on the pill I think. So bloody annoying! It takes away any element of hope as well, can't even hope I'm pregnant!

Think I will give pre-seed a go too, its got to be worth a try. When will you test again?

Its quiet here today, where's everyone else?

cyncan · 24/06/2009 19:21

hey ladies what is this pre-seed stuff? I am here, but don't know what else to post.... lol. as I wait for my peak... I just like reading your experiences with testing.

engelbart · 24/06/2009 19:42

Cyncan, good evening!

I think the pre-seed is a good lubricant for the swimmers and is meant to encourage the little blighters.

I've got so deperate I'm wondering about giving up alcohol for the WHOLE of my next cycle, not a decision I've taken lightly .

Will wait with bated breath to see if you get your peak tomorrow!
