engelbart - there is still hope -the cramps could definitely be the start of a pregnancy! I had period type cramps with the last pregnancy and with my ds (who is now 2) so don't give up yet!infact i would go so far as to say it's a symptom!

Hi Cyncan - hope the elusive peak comes tomorrow for you so you can leap into action!

wasted a stick this morning weeing on it before turning the machine on, then it didnt blummin well ask for one. i'd had my two peak days (with no bding, grr!), so today was my one remaining high day. hubbie, bad ankle and all, stepped up to the plate though so i'm chatting to you with bum propped on cushion - sorry, far far tmi!!!!

We should all put our minds together to send positive thoughts to our two Saturday testers!!! So everyone, Saturday focus on Engel and Baby!!

Trixel... don't worry about the stick (even though they are expensive, once you have the BFP you won't have to worry about them anymore) You made me lol here at my office after reading about your hubby stepping up to the plate! Props for him!

I will be using a cup tomorrow... really hoping for my first peak day!!

hi all, good luck to all those testing on saturday. Hope u get a bfp. Well i had a high day after my 2 peaks so i have done all i can do this month. Keep good vibes coming my way. Cycan dipping is way better i think. How soon after ovulating do u think u get symptoms?? Xx

You now have the dreaded 2 week wait then Bigbrofan! Have you had any post ovulation symptons?

cyncan- I wonder if you can buy that pre-seed stuff in somewhere like Boots? May have a look at lunchtime today when I can drag myself away from the office. I've heard talk on here about grapefruit juice and cough medicine helping too. Not sure I'm ready to go down that road yet!

Trixel- am v impressed with your DH managing to do the business with his sore ankle and all! I conceived my dd on a high day rather than a peak day (well at least I think I did, this was before i used the monitor but I worked it out based on my cycle).

newmember- I think the worrying is normal. I worry there is something wrong with me. I had a bad infection after dd was born and worried its left scarring on my womb or something. Its of little consolation I know (and it doesn't help me much either) but they do say its normal for it to take 12 months to get pregnant.

baby- what tests are you planning on using? I've got cheapy ebay ones which seem to do the job, the test line always comes up immediately, just a shame theres normally a huge blank space where the second line should be!

So today I used a cup to wee on... and then again, CD18 and no peak yet.

Well maybe I will peak in the weekend, which would be very convenient.. lol

hey cyncan - yes boots is a pharmacy, a big chain of them here. whereabouts are you? but i don't think they will do preseed in any case. i think it's the sort of thing you have to get online one ebay or somewhere similar.
where's that blummin peak tho? hopefully as you say it will come at the weekend so you can take full advantage! but i have heard of some people who don't get a peak in the first mth, only 2nd mth onwards - so if it doesnt happen this mth it will nxt mth at least.
hey bigbrofan we must be about the same stage. i'm CD17, and prob going to test before next weekend, ie thurs 2nd or fri 3rd - to help me decide if can drink enormous gin and tonics or not! when might you test?
sorry to hear you're still feeling stressed about it all newmember. it's not as easy as we think it will be is it. unless, of course, you're 14, drunk on white lightning cider, and doing it on your friend's parents beds on top of a big pile of coats - they seem to manage it no problem!!!!! praps that's where we're going wrong. nxt mth i might borrow some coats, pile them up, and get rat-arsed on mad dog 20/20.....

i did an expired internet cheapie this morning and saw a shadow of a line (i mean it was hardly there), so i was thinking that maybe i was only seeing it because i wanted to see it. So i got a first response which i have always found really reliable and did it at 5!! heehee!!

Trixel, thanks for the tip.. I have also heard that the first month might not come with a peak...I was just that hopeful. I still have some hope about these next few days! (Plus I just stopped the pill one month ago).. so it is all pretty soon. and.. hopefully you won't be drinking the gin!!

Washington DC, WOW cyncan! Have always wanted to go there, have to admit only place I've visited in US is Florida! Not knowing what Boots is definitely gave you away, there are loads here! . I live just outside of London.

I think just coming off the pill may be affecting the monitor, but theres still a chance you could get your peak tomorrow, heres hoping!

I was in London only once, many Novembers ago... and have to say I froze!! It can really gets cold over there!

I will keep you posted on the peak... Since I just got of the pill I really don't know how long my cycle is... but from what I have read, some ladies get their peaks on day 21/22... so there is still a chance. I might have a longer cycle.

sigh...hopeful....

oh washington sounds fab. have just become obsessed with the west wing (yeah, i know, i took awhile to catch on to the fact it might be good!) - it looks a beautiful city.
we're up in north yorkshire in england - near the hills, although we live in a pretty town rather the countryside itself.
i dont think everyone on here is uk-based though. it can be a bit chilly here, it's true (even more so oop north!) but we're having a bit of a heat wave at the mo though....... yeah, okay, praps heat wave is over-stating it, but it is jolly sunny!
i agree with engel - i reckon the pill will be affecting you this month. it'll take a bit of getting out of your system i would have thought.

Just heard a friend is pregnant. She only has ONE ovary (the other was removed when she had an ectopic). Wish I was brave enough to ask her how long shes been trying but worried she'll say it was first attempt which may make me panic even more! Makes me feel quite hopeful actually, surely with my 2 working ovaries (well I hope they're both working!) I'll get the bfp soon...

I've never watched the West Wing Trixel. I'm really into The Wire though, have you seen any of that cyncan? Its based in Baltimore I think.

Can I ask? Did you all get the 'M' sign to say that your period was due during the first month? I'm on cd 23 of my first month using the monitor and wondering whether it registers blood (ie. beginning of AF) to give the sign or waits until the second month when it has more info about cycle length?

dyou know what engel, i'm not actually a prude (at all!) but the swearing in the wire really got up my nose!!! i only watched one episode, but i couldnt get past it. one of my sisters is completely addicted tho and says you need to look past that as it's brilliant. praps i'll give it another go....
great news about your friend - that should get us all thinking positively! would be interesting to know how long she's been trying, but i know why we might not want to know!!
