Thanks guys!

My last day was erm, emotional! I think I cried 5 times altogether! lol! I did get 2 lovely bouquets of flowers which are gorgeous and some cute baby outfits and a teddy. My form made me a fab card which set me off at 9am!

I have not got any firm plans for the next few weeks - sleep sleep sleep would be a good start!

Anyway, hasn't anyone got any EWCM or strange temp dips we can discuss for a while???? ...........

Ceebee74 · 27/02/2009 21:32

I haven't got any of those but I do have a very grumpy 3-month old instead!! Even DH (after working from home today) asked how I manage to put up with Sam all day every day - it is such a good job he sleeps so well!

Definitely sleep for the next few weeks and also go to the cinema/meals/shopping etc - I still look back on the 5 weeks I had after finishing work and before Josh was born with extreme fondness - was a lovely 5 weeks of doing whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted

Dawni · 27/02/2009 21:33

Ive got 3 follicles on my cervix if that makes you feel better LOL

D xx

DawnAS · 27/02/2009 21:50

Oh CE, this is the last time I will mention this whole episode, but I was just about to go to bed when DH said, "Why don't you pop onto MN and see if CE has come back?", and there you were - I'm sure he's psychic!!!

Love you and this place wouldn't be the same without you. Ahhh at all your lovely pressies on your last day!!

Dawni, profiteroles - you're such a tease. Although my willpower is immense this evening!! DH has just had two doughnuts and I haven't had anything to eat since my dinner - I'm trying to be good!!

MJIM, so sorry about last night hun, I hope that Naomi sleeps better tonight...

Big waves and kisses to everyone else!! I'm off for an early night now, hopefully I won't have any odd dreams tonight. I dreamt about going for a walk with my parents the other day and all along the grass verges were dead robins - my favourite birds!! Yuck...

Catch up over the weekend guys. Hope you all have good ones!!

xxx

HumphreysCorner · 27/02/2009 22:03

ChocEclair-I was choked up when I finished work but that was soon forgotten with the arrival of DD1. Time to put your feet up and enjoy some me time.

MJIM-fingers crossed for a better night for you.

Off to bed, hope to have a better dream tonight.

Love to all!

Welcome back CE My top tips for surviving the last few weeks while on mat leave.....

...relax, lay on sofa watching dvd's (now is a great time to get into all the series of 24 & Prision Break if you haven't already!), swimming if you're up to it, relax, sleep, eat whatever you like, sleep, etc etc etc....ha ha ha! I even managed to do some cooking and freeze lots of meals for me and dh after dd arrived as that really will be last thing on your mind Get the house clean and then hide away the hoover, duster etc as you won't be using them for many months years!!

MJIM - hope you had a better night with Naomi.

Have been up since 5.45am with dd! Dsis volunteered to babysit last night so dh and I went out for dinner for his birthday which was lovely....just could have done with a slightly longer lie in

juanitad · 28/02/2009 08:31

Hooray, CE my stalking paid off!! Please don't think I am some kind of loon, but we were desperate to find you and the internet is a marvellous thing!! It does make you realise how easy it would be to stalk someone if you wanted to though....I promise I won't though, unless you go away again that is!! So pleased you are back and glad you made it through to mat leave relatively unscathed!. I was also overwhelmed at going on ML, I felt really weird and for the first couple of weeks still felt really attached to school. Now I can't bear the thought of going back. I am desperate to win the lottery so that I don't have to go back to work and can be a SAHM, I am loving motherhood and would love to do it full time. I used to be such a career woman, I was always looking for the next promotion and wanted to be a head eventually, but now all that means absolutely nothing! So strange how your priorities change! Anyway once again, pleased to have you back and hope you have a lovely few weeks before mini-choc arrives!

HumphreysCorner · 28/02/2009 08:59

Morning all

Shame about your lack of a lie in detox. Problem is as soon as I wake the nausea starts so am unable to get back to sleep but wasn't up as early as you though. Glad you enjoyed your night out.

The girls are at MIL's and DH is at work. Feeling a tad icky so struggling to get motivated. The housework is just not getting done at the moment but I don't suppose it matters. I have everyone coming for Mother's Day so the house will get cleaned then.

Is anyone in the 2WW as we need some more BFP's.

Have a lovely day ladies.

morning everyone

Poor lie in Detox

Im on the 2WW as you'll probably know HC Getting tired of waiting now though !! CD17, had cramps forever, boobs are killing and wish i could speed up time !!!

Need a brew

D xx

ChocEclair · 28/02/2009 10:40

morning ladies - hope you are all ok!

Detox - that was a very early start! Will dd be tired later? It must have been nice to have a night out though!

HC - I think you should relax on the sofa instead of doing housework! It can wait! What time do you expect them back? Glad the MS is easing if only a little.

Dawni - so how long is your cycle? Sore boobs is a good sign, do you normally get them before AF? The 2ww always seems like a year doesn't it!

Juanitad - don't worry I know you won't stalk me! lol! I hope you do win the lottery so you can stay at home with P! I'm sure I will be enjoying my ML within a few days - am going to take detox's advice and ask my DVD mad mate to loan me box sets of 24, prison break and lost as I have never watched any of them!

Dawn - hope you had better dreams last night! Have you had any vivid ones about when you have the baby with you yet?

ceebee - hope S is a little less grumpy today! I read that some babies are just grumpier than others! He's ever so cute though - I looked at your photo's again - they really do look very alike your 2 don't they!

BB - thanks - you're not a lurker though! You were here from the start I thought!

We are going to the cinema to see The Internationalthen to Nandos - I shouldn't say that as last time I seem to remember we all ended up fancying the piri-piri!

detoxdiva · 28/02/2009 11:42

CE - I am amazed....I thought everyone had discovered at least 1 of those series Stock up on all your favourite nibbles and switch off the phone....if you're anything like me you'll put on episode 1 of 24 after breakfast and still be there at tea time . You'll be willing beanie to be late though....there are now 6 series to watch!!!!

Nandos.......yum

Dawni · 28/02/2009 11:49

Have bottomed the living room in my jammies, friends are coming tonight, we are playing on the Wii !!

CE My cycle is quite often 25 days, but now and then 33 which does my head in !! By CD13/14 of last month my nipples were tender which lead to sore breasts after a few days, so i cant read anything into it, and i always start with cramps very soon after ovulation and they last right up until AF...Things are the same this cycle as the last 5 so i know ive not a chance and just want AF to hurry up ! Hope you are well and enjoy your ML xxxxx

D xx

majormoo · 28/02/2009 12:03

good grief-what have I missed!

anyway, moving on-CE enjoy your last few days/weeks putting your feet up and sleeping.

DS2 wailing so have to go already-we are actually going round to a friend's for dinner tonight and have a babysitter. Hurrah! Bringing DS2 with us, but still will be great to get out and have someone cook for us!

ray81 · 28/02/2009 12:04

Hey CE welcome back, i realy hope you enjoy the ML.I'm an avid fan of 24 and will sit there for hrs watching it so be prepared the get hooked. Are you and DP ok now you said you had a row i hope everything is ok.

Dawni have you had the book yet i've practically finished it and started Temping yesterday, yesterday it was 97.7 and today 97.8 so in the same band i have set up a FF account and will start charting on there before i start to forget what they were. I am being very impatient and cant wait to start Bding.
I must say that the Clomid is realy playing havoc with my moods and i keep getting hot flushes. I wanted to MURDER my DH this morn and he realy didnt do anything poor thing i do feel sorry for him sometimes. Going to take Emily iceskating this afternoon and try and cheer myself up.

Right guys i hate families, it was emilys party on thurs, she went bowling, we were meant to have it last week on her Birthday but she was sooo poorly so had to change it. Anyway she was meant to have 12 friends but one couldnt come so instead of lose the money by Best friends little girl who is 4 joined in and it was complete last minute. Well my sis has a 4 yr old and she has now got all shitty as i didnt invite her and saying awful things like i put friends first etc, well i do actually but ,my friends treat me better. You know what my sis hasnt even got Emily a present for her birthday and neither did my other sis or my brother how awful is that. Well its my sis dd bithday on mon and she was having a party for her today at her house and she hasnt invited Emily now before all this happened she was going to invite her but now she isnt and i feel like a hypercrite as i do feel gutted as it wasnt even like a planned for the other girl to be there and was being nasty or anything but now i think my sis is being nasty. She is only 20 with 3 DCs so i suppose it must be her age.
I'm not horrible am i? i dont know why i let them upset me they do this ALL the time and i always let it get to me.

God drama Drama Drama i hate it.

HumphreysCorner · 28/02/2009 12:18

How petty is she being ray. Doesn't she understand it was a last minute arrangement and she must invite your DD. Can you ring her and ask what time you have to be there as DD is really looking forward to it. Nowt so queer as folk!

ChocEclair-I have just watched episode 1&2 of Lost season 5 and it just gets better. Sayid rules Ceebee The girls are coming back after tea on Sunday night so missing them already.

Dawni-everything crossed for you and it does look like FF got the right OV day.

HC, this is the thing with my family they always see it from their point of view and never try and understand it from others points of view. I can understand how it must has looked but it wasnt a nasty thing it realy wasnt and she knows i am not like that.
What also gets to me is that she was maoning to me the other week about my other sis SMACKING her children and she never said anything to her at all and here she is saying these things to me when its just a bloody party already.

HAve fun with your episodes of Lost must say i havent ever watched it.

Must go have to get missy from gym and go ice skating i'll let you all know if we end up with any brokern bones. He he.

Ceebee74 · 28/02/2009 12:59

Hi everyone

HC you know we will never agree on the Sawyer v Sayid debate Have watched 6 (I think) episodes of series 5 but it is competely messing with my mind!! Am a tad of you being without the girls all weekend - DH has just taken the boys to MIL's for the afternoon though so shouldn't complain!

CE I would steer clear of the piri-piri - you never know what effect it might have - unless you want Mini-eclair to put in an earlier appearance of course You are right - Sam is ever so cute which does make up for the grumpiness a little - I do think he is just a serious little boy! Seems a little happier today - he particularly likes it when Josh sits on him, crawls all over him or pulls him round on his baby gym

Detox 5.45 poor you - will you get a chance for a rest later?? Josh has always got up sometime after 6 - if it was just after 6, it was awful! But what we have found works it that once he is up, we let him come into our bed and don't switch the light on so at least we can doze whilst he is pissing about playing - and he does seem to lie there (I won't say 'still' cos he is the most fidgty wriggly little boy!) for upto 45 minutes until we decide it is time to get up.

Ray your sis is just being petty - there is a difference between a 4 year old going to an older child's birthday party than the other way round iyswim. When my niece turned 7 a few months ago, my sis had booked a 'pampering' party at a play area - lots of girly/hair things - not really suitable for a 2 year old boy. My sis explained and I was absolutely fine about it - as it turned out, my sis had to pay for 15 places regardless of how many she invited (she hadn't realised that) so we went anyway and Josh had a whale of a time!

Where is MJIM?? She will be so pleased to see CE back!!

Have to tell you this - it was so cute this morning! When Josh got up, he came into our bed at about 6.30 just as it was starting to get light and said to me 'mummy, my curtains have got a light on' - I think it is the first morning he has noticed it getting light outside - how sweet is that??

juanitad · 28/02/2009 13:29

Someone else missing did you say, ceebee? Right, I will use my stalker detective skills to track her down. MJIM you can't stay in hiding for long
