I just feel pg sound soft dont i but i have done since about 2 dpo...all same signs etc...if im not then i need a darn good slap lol

romilly · 04/04/2005 16:54

fingers crossed nemo - what signs are you noticing? 2 dpo - wow! you must be in tune with your body

the first (and only) time i was pg. i didnt even realize until i was about 10 days late on my AF and then suddenly i thought "hmmmm, maybe i should do a test..."

OP posts:
Bella23 · 04/04/2005 17:01

Rom - didn't test last time until you were 10 days late.........mmmm you'll be lucky to be 1 day late with the trigger happy thread!
Just been bollocked on the phone by my boss ...long saga, not really my fault etc and I nearly started blubbing.....managed to pull it back before they spilled.......lord this ttc lark is turning me into one of those women who cry at the drop of a hat....what will become of me?!
Me thinketh I need to go home, have a good cry and let it all out
DQ - glad you are feeling brighter - you watch, after all the doom you are thinking, bound to be a BFP this month........

Nemo1977 · 04/04/2005 17:17

rom its funny cos when im pg i do things really impulsively like power washing everything, clean out kitchen cupboards, vax carpets...funny i know but its something i only tend to do if pg. Also been having terrible nausea, sore dollies like aching and painful, harder than normal tum which happened with last pip, insomnia of a night then wanting to fall asleep at 5/6am [usually as ds wants to get up. Stomach cramps but in a different way to af. Weeing loads and also the other and i always get aching wrists and my allergy to our dog goes[usually come up in a rash if she brushes against my arms or face or if ive stroked her then touched face etc then my eyes sting and itch]. All are symptoms i have had form my 4 pregnancies. Then to do that stupid test and get line on the test rather than the screen has messed with my head even more..lol

george32 · 04/04/2005 19:56

Hi all. I've been back at work today so not had chance to log on at all. Knackered now but working from home for the next 2 days so think I will recover.
Bella, so sorry that you think that AF has arrived. Could be implantation bleeding so you never know. Fingers crossed for you.
DQ, sorry you have been feeling so down today. It does sound like you & DH BD'd at the right time so I still think you may have a Christmas baby. Hope this evening is a bit brighter for you.
Hope you feel brighter now too Wendy.
{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}} to the 3 of you today.

Still no sign of O for me. CD 22 and nothing on the Persona, nothing on temps and nothing on the hideously expensive OPKs (does spending a fortune on them not justify at least getting one , wouldn't even mind if it was lying at this point!!)
Congrats on your O Rom...now, no falling out with Mr Rom.

Sounding really positive for you Mishi, fingers crossed.

Sophmum - big congrats on your BFP . We were certainly due another one. Hope this opens the floodgates for the rest of us to get our BFPs soon.

Oops nearly forgot; Hi Piffle, welcome to the thread. Hope you have your testing sticks ready....!!!

piffle · 04/04/2005 20:02

I've had a really achy lower stomach last 2 days and also gone right off alcohol, am still sure that mind is playing evil tricks though
OB due Thursday ish but has been late a few times recently so would not hold out any hope unless stayed away till Monday
Great news SophMum!!!!!!!!

munz · 05/04/2005 08:42

YAY we made the front page!

George - how long have u been using persona? it doesn't always show a O sign if it's the first few months of use.

Rom - U go BD girl! lol. CD24 here, am now v tired, v ratty and generally down mainly due to having a cold nothing more, exactly 2 weeks today till I see my DH again! god he won't know what's hit him! lol, AF is due on thursday. althou hoping it will be late as to get on a better CD when he does come home.

Bella23 · 05/04/2005 09:31

Morning all ladies, feeling a bit brighter today. Just want AF to start properly now so that I can it over with.
DQ - you will appreciate this......had a bit of a weep with DH last night and he said "its not the end of the world, it'll happen soon" .....well as you can imagine that just upset me more!!!!
He did spend the night apologising as he didn't mean I was over reacting, still just an example of a typical man comment!
Hope you are all well today.....

george32 · 05/04/2005 09:47

Hi to all.
Glad you are feeling brighter today Bella. Sometimes a good cry can get things out of your system for a while. Bad timing from your DH and also your boss yesterday (what an arse!) no wonder you were feeling down.

Munz, this is my first month with Persona so it must be having problems finding any kind of cycle with me!! CD 23 so no more sticks for me until next month.
Have just changed my FF chart to the advanced method of O detection and that is now saying that O happened on Sat. Going to stick with that result as we had some perfect timing BDing!!
Doesn't matter if it's not really accurate as at least it gives my head some hope!!
You sound like you will be waiting at the door, for DH, ready to pounce Munz!!

We definitely need more babydust on this thread...

Bella23 · 05/04/2005 09:56

George - just a thought but I noticed that I got a lot better reading on the persona sticks (ie by looking at the lines on the them) by actually collecting my wee and holding the stick in it for 20secs. Sorry tmi....but have you been weeing straight on it? Might be worth next month trying it this way instead to see if it reads any better. (fingers crossed you won't need persona next month though...)
Sorry you've gotta laugh haven't you - never met you in person yet asking about your toilet habits !!

girlfromip · 05/04/2005 11:10

Congratulations on the new thread, just popped in to say hello and that I've been thinking of all the support I had from mumsnet since m/c in Jan and from as long ago as the Aug 05 thread. Thanks very much to all of you who gave me such great friendship over that tough time for so many of us.
Also to say I'm finally feeling really happy and well again, back to myself, it's only taken about 4 months but I'm amazed at how much difference time has made to how I feel physically and emotionally.
Good luck and baby dust to all from me.
Happy Birthday Bella!
(((((((((Hugs)))))))) to all my old comrades...... any baking lately DQ?

romilly · 05/04/2005 12:24

Bella23 · 05/04/2005 12:38

Afternoon ladies

Don't worry have given myself a good kick up the backside - all this self pitying is no good!
Ok - next obsession is reflexology. I've always fancied it and thought I might give it a go as have heard that it can be good for fertility etc.
Anyone ever had it ??
GFP - so good to hear from you, glad you are "on the other side"
Rom - don't worry about bding on the actual Ov day as long as you got some of the little swimmers in there before hand.
Nemo - all hopes on you then this month ...sorry no pressure !
Ok.....baby for 2006 for me.....come hell or high water!

dyzzidi · 05/04/2005 12:40

Hi Ladies

Hope you remember me from ttc for the cautious. I have not posted on here yet as I am having a bad week my due date is thursday (m/c Sept) so can't even think about ttc.

I will say hello and post stats soon.

I hope you are all keeping well and talk to you all soon.

Dyzzi

Nemo1977 · 05/04/2005 12:56

dyzz huge hugs to u hun
We are jus tlooking to book and go on hol for when our pip would have been due...i hate the edds after mc as its heart wrenching

Bella thanks for the pressure..err mean support..lol
Am sure someone else was due to test at similair time to me...who was it and where r u..lol
Dh is convinced im pg and even kissed my tum when he left for work and said bye baby...bless him i wanted to cry..lol

Have used reflexology when pg with ds and after for a bad back and it worked wonders however never tried it to get pg...might give it a go. I just know that holistic therapies tend not to be used in first 3mths of pregnancy

wendy11 · 05/04/2005 13:07

Good afternoon everyone,

CD27 and still all he signs of impending af. Feel a bit like a yoyo... up one minute and down the next. Oh well onwards and upwards.

Glad you are feeling more positive today Bella. Keep it up. I went to a reflexologist after we lost ds mainly as a means of trying to relax. While it was a lovely foot rub and the lady was qualified I felt it was more like a salon treatment that anything else. After each of the treatments I can honestly say that I felt as low as I could possibly feel and spent most of the remainder of the day in floods of tears. DH was actually at the stage of putting a stop to me going because he thought it was supposed to be doing me good and here I was in an awful state. Although the lady did say that this was the treatments working and not to worry. I have thought about trying to find another reflexologist who has maternity qualifications as I fell they may be better able to help with the fertility issue. Let me know how you get on.

Rom - as Bella has said as long as you get the swimmers on their way before ov I wouldn't worry too much about not BDing on ov day.

Dyzzidi - will be thinking about you on Thursday. Be kind to yourself that day and spend the day how you want to, to remember your little one.

George - I have just been checking and I also use the advanced method on FF. Hope the date they have given you is the right on.

Munz - I am sure you are going to be so happy to get DH home. Even better that your dates will be just right for some BDing.

Nemo - how are you feeling today. Any more symptoms?

DQ - hope you are feeling better today. I think yesterday was a bad day for all of us.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, although I don't know if that is possible if you are at work!

george32 · 05/04/2005 14:19

I'm an idiot, just re-checked and I meant to say I have changed FF from advanced to the research method of detection - I think they need to do some bloody research if they are going to find my O this month!!!
Mishi, I think it was me & Bella who were close to you in cycles this month but we seem to have drifted away as the month has gone on. I hope your AF stays away Wendy and then you can join Mishi in testing!! I might even do a p/g test sometime next week if my fingers stray near the box again!.
LOL at discussing weeing habits!! So collecting and dipping is better you say.....better start filling the bathroom with little pots I guess
Nice to hear from you Girl, so glad you are feeling like you are through it and coming out the other side. Are you going to join us in our mad TTCing?

Dyz, I thought you had gone quiet. Poor you.{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}} to you for Thursday. I hope you manage to spend some of the day doing something to treat yourself, to try to make the day pass a little easier.

Bella23 · 05/04/2005 14:32

Dyzz - hugs for Thursday, know it will be hard. We are here for when you want to join us.

Wendy - interesting what you say about reflexology as that is what I am cautious of as really don't want just a "beauty type" of session. There are a few places near me so will check it out, I presume I should only go pre ov as well, do you think? Will let you know how I get on.

George - yes dipping is the way forward, favourite collection thingy for me is a deodorant can lid.

DQ - where are you? Having a better day?

Nemo1977 · 05/04/2005 14:38

lol bella
i also use a deodorant lid..pmsl...glad im not the only one

george32 · 05/04/2005 14:43

PMSL at technical deodorant lid collecting method!!!

shirleyvalentine · 05/04/2005 16:05

I used a fantastic book by Toni Weschler called 'taking charge of your fertility' and i fell pregnant at 37 within the first month of trying.

piffle · 05/04/2005 16:22

today am cautiously optimistic, rechecked dates and AF due tomorrow onwards (28-33 day cycle) tomorrow is day 29 and no AF signs at all, no bloat, no spots, no temper tantrums and I have really sore boobs.
Have ordered pg tests off the internet so will test when they arrive, these detect lower hcg so hopefully more accurate early detection, amazing how we all want to know so early, I mean nothing drags on like a pregnancy, it makes me wonder!!!
Hope everyone else ok, anyone else expecting AF same time as me?

Chuffed · 05/04/2005 16:30

Well just finishing AF after 53 day cycle. First accupuncture session tomorrow in hope that I can regulate to help ttc.
Also read Toni Weschler book, which has some amazing information but doesn't work so well if you can be anovulatory for up to about 5mths at a time.

dramaqueen72 · 05/04/2005 17:00

oh ladies...bella, yes yes try ANY therapy thats supposed to help, after all....cant hurt can they? worst thing that can happen is you get very soft feet!! I think i may try something soon, i'm getting looooow here ttc all 'naturally'.
rom, listen, not wishing to HEAP pressure on you (much...) but if you could test soon, cause you know, i really want you to get that bfp, and if you missed O day and get a BFP, i shall feel alot happier about missing mine!
last month (having poured over charts now..)I missed a day and a half before O, or rather before +opk. and i blamed that. this time i hit those days and the +opk day, just buggered up the one -two actually- afterwards..
I think i said something to dh last night like, 'listen its not very hard, i just want us to bd six days in a row....its not bloody rocket science...' bless hd for biting his tongue and not answering that one! i could still club him with large baking tray for the 'it'll happen dont worry' statement tho!!!!!!
my cm has gone, changed almost straight away to non fertile. it does that so quickly sometimes.
of course i cant remember many distinct signs of my own pregnancies....they have all be very different. feel sick by week six but you know, i'm kinda hoping to know before that!!!!
hello to the new ladies calling in, nice to see you here. chuffed bloody hell, 53 days? woah that must of been tough. heres to the next cycle behaving and getting shorter for you.
piffle , youve just reminded me, when i'm pg i get all af signs WORSE! i throw the mother (excuse the pun) of all tantrums and turn grey with spots (oh lovely image!) i hope the lack of them for you means a bfp.
nemo, bella a deo lid? oh how funny! i got some plastic throw away cups from asda, I get thro loads!
decided after much chatting with an american ttc-er, that i will test TWICE a day with next batch of opks. this showing my surge exactly, rather than me guessing at tail end or first part of it.

Oh girl! hey glad youre around, i've been missing you. we certainly got ourselves thro a crappy crappy time huh>? amazing when you think how desperately sad and ill we all were.
dyzz, sorry about thursday, hang in there.
george/wendy/anyone i've missed, hugs and babydust to you(( )))
speak with you all later.
