Good afternoon Ladies,

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Back to work tomorrow for me so there goes the lazy mornings - back to rushing around like a headless chicken and still being 5 mins late into work. It doesn't seem to matter what time I get up in the mornings I am always late.
Well I really don't think this is my month. CD 25 and having all the classical signs that af is on her way. Should be due around Wednesday or Thursday.
Bella how things with you? Any good signs or symptoms to report.
Anyone else testing this week?
DQ hope you have made it up with DH and doing lots of BDing. Don't wear him out! My poor DH is only getting his strength back now
Romilly - hope you had a good night out. Any sign of that yet for either you or george.
George - I can feel my muscels aching just reading your post - 5 miles - good on you.
Think I will just stick to walking. Talking of which just had a big luch so a good walk would not do any harm.
Enjoy what is left of your weekend everyone.

munz · 03/04/2005 17:18

evening all, hope we're all ok and happy BD! lol.

good news from DH he'll be home a day earlier so that mean's we'll be right on the OV days. so fingers crossed, 2 weeks to go now, (3/4 days till AF is due thou) so after it's been i'll be having lots of showers in all the baby dust! lol.

hope i've not missed any BFP's?

Nemo1977 · 04/04/2005 08:59

helloooo all
have been up since 5.30 so will apologise in advance for any nonsensical jabberings...that being the first..lol
George hope u ge the much coveted soon hun. If u have gone to longer cycle then it is possible it wont show yet..although long cycles r a pain in the arse i know

Wendy hope work isnt too horrendous for u...anyway whats a lie in..lol

Munz tons of baby dust for u and hope the ob stays away

Who was supposed to be testing with me around the 13th as I need shouting at. Have got huge urges to test and only 7dpo. Have still been symptom spotitng like mad. Feeling ill etc..sigh..if only hey.
DS woke me up at 5.30am today no idea why but typically he is full of beans and I feel like a wet lettuce..lol

hope u all have a great day
bella, dq, heres, girl cadmum????????????where r u all hiding????????????????

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 09:21

Morning all ladies.....
Computer problems over the weekend so couldn't log on. Will have a goof read when I have done some work.
Well bugger bugger bugger, got a show of AF this morning .....what is all that about? I am only on CD24 !!!
Am gutted as really thought I might be lucky this month...well don't we always!
Am starting to wonder if I should worry that my cyles seems to be so short now ? Do you think I should? I mean I know I ov'd but only 10 days ago.
Right off to have a cup of tea....that always makes things better doesn't it ......

Nemo1977 · 04/04/2005 09:23

bella dont be disheartened yet hun it could be implantation??????? Its not over till fat lady sings in full belt

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 09:45

Thanks Nemo but I'm not one of those implantation bleed types .....the fat lady is going to start singing this week in full opera!
Right - health kick here I come and am going to give up booze for a month to see if it makes any difference....

dramaqueen72 · 04/04/2005 10:52

morning girls, bella, hun if its af i'm sorry. but hang on in there, implantation bleeding doesnt have to show or occure every pg so maybe..... youre luteal phase needs to be 9/10 days long, so i think you'll still be alright if it is af. ((hugs))
nemo, dont test yet, hang in there!!! 10dpo MIGHT show up a bfp, but usually not even then. bulk buy your tests like me and then you can get that fix!!
I nearly came online to sign out, to say I wouldnt be back. its not good sometimes ttc is it?
dh and i managed to bd alot before my , and once as i hit +opk, but not since.....now we could prob manage tonight, but i think this morning is the end of my fertile time anyhow. so thats prob a wasted mmonth. can you believe it, i spend so long waiting and watching for the right time only to stuff it up when it comes along. I was really upset this morning.
we meant to bd yesterday, but its so busy here, then we went out most of the day, then our youngest couldnt sleep and was up late, then dh literally fell DEEP asleep as he had to go back to work today afer a manic week off....then he over slept and had to dash out the door this morning...I'm so kicking myself for not waking him last night, and he is being so 'oh well' about it. he said I'm sure my sperm will hang about long enough, it'll be fine.....WTF!!!!!!!
so ladies I'm down and now have to wait out a useless cycle. seems there will be no baby for me this year.

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 11:00

DQ - hang in there honey!
I am very much down in the pits today but this thread is all about getting us through the bad parts - right?
All is soooo not lost this month for you, remember that sperm lasts at least 2-3 days so you've covered all bases. Also from what I have read (which is vey extensive) it seems that its more important for the sperm to be there waiting pre ovulation that during and that's exactly what you've done. I feel positive for you.
As for leaving us........not on your nelly! Its just a bad day....tomorrow you'll feel better I promise.

dramaqueen72 · 04/04/2005 11:08

thanks bella, do you think I'm in with a chance? we bd-ed right up to +opk, including day of +opk, but not since, (+opk was saturday) i know that means I will O in 24-36 hrs from +opk, so I assume i O'ed sunday? and the egg only lasting a few hours....i dont think tonight going to be any help. I'm so pissed of tho, i wanted to hit EVERY fertile day I could, as i didnt last month and blamed that.
you have made me think there might be a hope, thankyou, today is looking pretty bleak while i feel like this.
what about you? did you hit every fertile day? or miss one or two? its hard to keep otimistic when its not looking good isnt it? have you signed up for that oxford study? i'm about to post my forms off. figure it gives me a new purpose for next cycle if i've fu*ked this one up.
whats really got to me, -hormonal nutter that I am- is dhs attitude 'it will be fine'/'never mind', it obviously isnt his every waking thought which it pretty much is for me.
sorry i'm not cheery, i know this thread usually is.

Nemo1977 · 04/04/2005 11:12

bella hugs hun hate the OB when she arrives. It is so hard to remain positive when inside u curse urself for failing again[maybe just me then..lol]

DQ it is still possible hun. If u bd right on pos ov then there is deffo a chance and if not then we all move on together...if we didnt let mc stop us all then why would we let a little thing like af stop us. Always depressing when she turns up but the bonus is she packs her bags and we are onto the next cycle....

hugs to everyone and swift kick up the bums to dhs/dps/sperm donors..lol

tc

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 11:21

DQ - I hit every bloody fertile day and still AF showed up so its just goes to show that hitting every window doesn't guarantee success!!
Come on keep your chin up....I seriously think you've covered enough bases to be in with a decent shot this month
As for the DH attitude of 'it will be fine'/'never mind'......well what can I say, its what they ALL say when they don't know what we want to hear! Just think "bless him", have a secret sream and then put it out of your mind.
We will all get there.......its just all this bloody waiting that is sooooooooo unfair !

Oxford study - might go and check it out....

piffle · 04/04/2005 11:36

oooh after an ectopic in Nov I am definitely cautious.
Piff 34yrs old
ttc no 3 dd (30mths) ds (11yrs)
Ectopic Nov after ttc for 16 mths, right tube removed, banned fro ttc for 3 mths so am now on 2nd cycle of ttc but cycle is anywhere between 28 and 34 days so am unsure of everything, although I know I am ovulating each cycle.
Af due from Thursday onwards, am trying not to be too hopeful.
Also post on ttc 20 threads.
Good luck everyone
xx

Nemo1977 · 04/04/2005 11:58

hi again
right i dont want anyone to shout at me but i did a test.
Used a clearblue digital which of course came up with the words not pg...however when i took the stick out..which i tend to do there was 2 lines. Now does the clearblue work differently to other tests cos as ive said i have sooo many pg symptoms...i know i got a false pos last month but may have been evaporation line..however this was literally as the test said not pg....sorry i know im naught and should wait till at least the weekend

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 12:01

Nemo - ooh sounds very good, could be the levels aren't high enough to register a +ve but may be in the next few days..... keeping everything crossed for you, so in need of another graduate!
Piffle - welcome and hope this thread brings you luck.

romilly · 04/04/2005 12:50

welcome to the babyordershere club piffle

bella - so sorry about AF - not fair, on your birthday month too bugger! as you said. its much harder than you think this ttc'ing lark isnt it?

dqueen - don't know what you are worrying about girl! i would be perfectly happy with that performance - and you know how hard it is for me to get things right on the actual 0+ day. a couple of days beforehand and one bang on would give you a HIGH reading on the fertitily friend conception advisor - i usually only get a LOW or a GOOD reading. Havent hit a HIGH yet. that is no excuse to leave us, you have to stay !!

wendy - you're getting close too...and sounding impressively calm and collected, good luck

george - any yet? i got one this morning on my persona, and guess what - d/h has a reaaaaally early start tomorrow morning and long day...so i am not counting my chickens this month.

munz - good to see you munzie! you must be getting excited....

Bella - ((((HUGS)))). Really hope it doesn't come to anything and that af buggers off on a long holiday.

DQ - ((((HUGS)))). Don't feel so down in the dumps. The days before ov are the most important. I have found that very often I ov the day I get a +ve OPK even through it says that it should be sometime during the next 24-48 hrs as temps go up the next morning. Think it is something to do with when your LH surge actually starts - could be just after you tested the day before so you are actually seeing the tail end of your surge when you get your +ve OPK. Please don't leave us, who would keep us all salivating at your lovely shortbreads and flapjacks

Romilly - I can honestly say that I am anything only calm and collected. I have had lots of cramps for the last couple of days and temps shot up this morning which always happens me the day or two before af shows, so had a bit of a weepy session this morning, but had to gather myself together and go to work. Probably a good thing as I think I would have moped around all day otherwise.

I think we all are putting so much effort into getting pg and yet it seems to be doomed to failure each month and I can guarantee if we were 15, still at school, no regular partner, no means of supporting a baby, nor really wanting one and doing this we would be up the duff on the first month. Sorry just having a moan, don't want to offend any teenage mums.

Nemo - another person who dissects tests. I always hope that I am going to see something different to what I have already seen IYKWIM. Hope there is good news for you in a few days.

Piffle - welcome and all the best with this ttc lark.

wendy11 · 04/04/2005 13:56

DQ - this is what fertility friend has to say about timing of intercourse:

"Any intercourse that occured within the 5 days prior to ovulation has a chance to result in pregnancy. Intercourse that occured on the day of ovulation and/or the previous 2 days has the highest chance of resulting in pregnancy. Intercourse the day after ovulation or later had virtually no chance of resulting in pregnancy".

Hope that is of some help to put your mind at rest. You certainly seem to have BD at the right time.

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 14:15

Wendy - OMG ....I so agree! If I was 18 and had a one night stand guaranteed I would be up the duff by now!
Rom - hope you manage to get a jump on DH as you have the O symbo from persona.....good luck.

Thanks ladies for sympathies, think I am going to feel a bit poo all day today but will shake myself out of it tomorrow! Just got to keep going don't you ....

Sophmum · 04/04/2005 14:22

Hi all on the new thread. I've looked in on you all every so often, but only posted a couple of times at the very beginning. Just a quick post to say that I had a BFP on Friday, amazingly, as I didn't think I was pg this month.

Quick stats, maybe to encourage:

31
DD1 nearly 3
missed m/c Nov 04 - erpc at 11 weeks
ttc for 4 cycles since then (av cd27-28)
ov on day 11 and must have conceived on that day or maybe day after.
used cm and temps - interestingly, my temps were noticably higher after ov and all through month compared with non pg cycle.

I was just beginning to think it wouldn't work at all, but am very worried about this pg going ok.

Good luck and lashings of baby dust to all - ~~~~*~~~**~~~~

(sorry, can't do the clever swirls)

Bella23 · 04/04/2005 14:31

Sophmum - Huge Congrats!
Thanks for sharing the good news......so gives me hope
Wishing you a safe and happy 9 months

MrsWednesday · 04/04/2005 14:34

Sophmum, that is brilliant news. Will keep everything crossed for you over the next few months (knowing how nervous you will be).

(sorry, was just passing by)

romilly · 04/04/2005 14:45

oooh happy news - we love happy news here - thanks sophmum - lashings of extra-sticky sticky babydust to you

interesting about the higher temps. now will be checking out post ov. temps manically comparing to previous cycle temps - a new ttc fixation, yayyyyy

dramaqueen72 · 04/04/2005 15:34

thanks girls, I'm not quite so down about it now, but still feel we buggered it up! wanted that christmas baby!
Bella, youre doing very very well, i'd be alot more sobbing and shouting really....
totally agree on the one night stand lark.how do they DO that? (get pg i mean) i cant bear anyone who got pg without meaning too right now. its like a slap in the face.
got tummy ache right now....suppose O could be now? or maybe its just tummy ache!! duh!
nemo.hm, i always take my tests apart...I'd say that you should retest, either RIGHT NOW (!!LOL) with a non fancy digi one (a line is a line is a line on ordinary ones right?) or most sensibley, test again in two days time (apparently HCG wont increase massively on a test line in one days time, according to my tests here) hope is a BFP for you, I'm willing you on so much

sophmum, congrats, I've been right where you are now and know just how scary it is, I went on to have my dd, you'll be fine. how lovely to read this. we ahve all but given up here, been a bad couple of cycles.
wendy, thankyou thankyou, you sounds so positive and full of the right facts. i used to think i o'ed on +opk day due to pain and EWCM, so who knows. its a glimer of hope right? and i'm clinging to it. will try and bd tonight to seal last hope. and i hope your temps show pg v v soon. no more tears okay.
nemo, thanks for dhs kick up bum he needed it!
piffle, welcome we are normall sucha mad crazy bunch, but abit sad today for one reason or another, it'll be back to flapjacks and much testing before you know it!
