Oh great. Nice start to a new page Sorry.

FruitynNutty · 26/03/2009 12:43

Lots of luck to Nemo!

BellaHarry · 26/03/2009 13:06

Fruity looking forward to popping over later! I'm leaving work at 3:30 so should be at yours for 4pm is this still ok? xx

FruitynNutty · 26/03/2009 13:14

That's perfect. See you then!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 26/03/2009 13:54

Well I can absolutely sy with no bias what so ever that Baby Jack is the munchiest litte dink dink. Just beautiful. Although Fruity is right about his wrinkly forhead. he does look like a Sharpay dog when he crys . He's also incredibly tiny. Which is a silly thing to say about a newborn. But he is so there! Had a lovely cuddle with him.

And close your ears now Fruity. Fruity is looking pretty damn good as well considering she only gave birth last week. She could at least have had the decency to look tired or still be in her jim jams!!!

Oh, and I got to meet the illusive DP. Fruity, he's very dishy, but was wondering whether to slip in comment about late night drinking!!!!

Totally up for a shopping trip if/when you get cabin fever. Hope MW turned up by now.

I've finally been prescribed some strong ant-acid meds to try and stop this projectile vomming. Can pick them up this arvo so will see whether we can skip the Witches of Eastwick hurling tonight!

Lola Oh blimey, Nemo sounds awful. Fingers crossed the vet can make him better. And hope the MW appt this arvo goes well for you. Let us know how they both went won't you. Kisses to Nemo though.

Lola Poor Nemo Hope the op goes well and they can get whatever it is that is causing the blockage. Poor you too - it's awful when pets are ill. Hope mw appointment goes well this afternoon.
Goergie Hope the medicines work. Projectile vomiting sounds awful, especially when you should be in the easiest phase of pregnancy! I'm also of your cuddle with Jack!
Fruity Jack is too little to be taking you for a ride, don't worry about making a rod for your own back. Some babies want more comfort than others so enjoy cuddling him for the time being. How is the feeding going? It's amazing how long they can feed for in the early days isn't it? Hope he's put on weight so that you can be reassured.
A tip from me for bf tops - bf vest tops are the way to go. I wear them every day with a cardigan and they are just so handy. I've got some bamboo ones from Figleaves here and they're great as they have a peephole opening (oo err!) and so there's a strip of material across the top of your boob which makes it more discreet IYSWIM, especially when feeding in a sling or in public.
Sparkly Hope DD's jabs went ok too.

SparklyPseudonym · 26/03/2009 15:00

Cricri I lived in vests and cardies when b/f DD - those ones look fab though. Will invest in some of those if I get that far.
Georgie MS still non existant which worries me. I'm so of your Jack cuddles. Really hope the ant-acid helps.
Lola Poor, poor Nemo!! Is there any news? Hope MW appointment goes well.Thinking of you. xx
Fruity Doc did the jabs in the top of her bum whichI thought was odd. She screamed and has a runny nose today which I don't think is related. Any signs the Jordan boobs yet?

Nothing to report here. Just finished my work for this week yawn and have been worrying about lack of symptoms. Am so convinced I'm doomed. Ah well, should have scan date once I book in with GP...

FruitynNutty · 26/03/2009 17:31

Oooh cricri the vests look great but a bit tight for my baby belly I also need something that I can wear with leggings. Something long and flowy but breastfeed-able. I had a look in New Look today and tried on loads of things but I looked like a sack of potatoes in everything I also need to buy some nice BFing bras that don't cost a fortune. Bella has just told me that Figleaves have a clearance website which I'm going to look at now. My BFing bras are like sports bras and look terrible under clothes.
Mibbes you had a section didn't you? What sort or trousers did you wear at the beginning? All my maternity trousers/jeans cut in where the scar is which is why I've been wearing leggings/trackie bottoms.
I never thought it would be so difficult to dress myself! I can't remember what I wore when I had DS - oh yes I do, it was Summer so I lived in flowy skirts which were a bit big around the middle so didn't rub. Too cold for that now ...............

Lola How's Nemo? How did your midwife appointment go?

Sparkly No Jordan boobs but my milk's in now.
Midwife came over today and weighed Jack again. He's lost weight again but she wasn't concerned (different M/W to last time) She said they'll weigh him again on Monday

Georgie PMSL about the Sharpay dog and thank you for saying nice things - I haven't told DP you think he's dishy or I'll never hear the end of it! Talking of the late night drinking, he's out again tonight

BellaHarry · 26/03/2009 19:29

Fruity Jack is absolutely gorgeous as Georgie says, and I too was all cuted out at how tiny he is!!! AAAw well done you!!

Georgie glad the vom sessions may be on the way out! How terrible that must be for you xx

Lola hope Nemo is ok! I remember how horrid it was when Harry was poorly as a kitten my thoughts are with you babe xx How did MW apt go

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 26/03/2009 19:31

Fruity Looks like we're both drinks widow's tonight. DH off on his third round of leaving drinks . So much for being at home to look after the kids. Hmmmm. Think he's in for a shock next week when I chuck him in at the deep end with a couple of afternoon kids teas and the DD's tennis lessons!!!

Well, it looks as if the Zantac might be doing the trick. No vomming so far tonight. Hope that this is the magic cure I've been looking for.

Would it be really bad to have just mashed potato for supper?

OP posts:
HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 26/03/2009 19:38

Lola been thinking about Nemo all afternoon. Hope you got some good news from the vets.

Sparkly I know a few friends who didn't get a single pg symptom. Both now have 3 kids each. Know it's easier said then done, but each passing day is another crossed off the list. And hold onto the fact that you had a good 8 week scan. Hope you get another scan soon.

Cricri Think I too will invest in some of those tops. They look great. And it looks as if I'll be hairing around after the 2 DD's whilst trying to BF, so don't fancy showing anymore than I have too, boob wise, whilst I'm doing it .

Bella Shall we start a 'I [heart] Jack' fan club?!

OP posts:
BellaHarry · 26/03/2009 21:18

Georgie nothing wrong with potato for dinner, I have a plate of fish fingers often!! Yes I think a Jack fan club is in order! wish I'd got a better look at his little face now, but he was nose deep in Fruity's boob most of the time I was there!

BellaHarry · 27/03/2009 16:43

Has no one posted today or have I missed something?? Help?

piper84 · 27/03/2009 17:23

Just take it very, very easy young lady.

Wow. I look like this . Am soooooo pleased for you.

piper84 · 27/03/2009 18:03

Sparkly Me thinks you are having another wobble, now that you have handed in your work - make an appointment. Repeat after me - it will be fine it will be fine it will......

cricri · 27/03/2009 19:11

OMG Piper, twins I can't imagine how you must have felt when they told you! What lovely news - one of the ladies on my AN thread had twins and the whole thread always referred to them as "our twins", it was lovely.
Sorry to hear about the hyperemesis though - I guess you've got a double dose of hormones going around your body. Let's hope it eases soon.
Sparkly Keep thinking positive - everything is going to be fine
I escaped to London for a few hours today to meet up with some former colleagues as some of them are being made redundant and were having leaving drinks. It was lovely to see some people I hadn't seen for a good few years and also nice to spend some time on my own. I did miss Elise though and my boobs were rock hard and very sore by the time I got home!
Hope everybody else is OK.

HappyandEiknowit · 27/03/2009 19:57

I can't believe it! You clever lady

FruitynNutty · 27/03/2009 20:22

Oh and sorry 'bout the sickness but

FruitynNutty · 27/03/2009 20:23

Oh Lola How's Nemo?

mibbes · 27/03/2009 20:57

Evening ladies, have had a quick catch up..

piper OMG congrats - LOL at "piper people carrier", I remember that from several months ago !! How exciting having twins - I had NCT friends round today and we have a set of twins, they are gorgeous

Fruity how in the name of the wee man are you managing to post so often when Jack is such a newbie ! You are a star and it sounds as if you are doing fabulously well

Lola I really hope nemo is ok. Big hugs for upcoming anniversaries xx Have you felt any more flutterings ?

Mollie that was soo sweet of your DH to remember you on Mother's day, he is so right that you deserve to be spoiled too xx

teehee how many weeks/days to go ?...

Sparkly how are you my dear ? Hope you are feeling all fat and preggy !

Oh and top tip for BFing from me is to buy stretchy vest tops (I got really good loose ones from New Look) and wear a jumper/top - my cunning plan is that I pull the vest down, pull jumper up and detach bra strap then I can get boob out with minimal flasing of flesh . I have quite ample boobies at the best of times so I found those BFing tops barely had enough space for my Jordan-like knockers to squeeze out which meant they got squished. If any of you preggos or mummies want my vest tops and t-shirt (from Mothercare and Blooming Marvellous) let me know and I'll pass them on - you'd need to be a size 12 with average/small boobs pre-preg. I think I am a F-cup now so if you are less than that they should fit.

We had drama here earlier in the week as DS was vomitting blood . After an overnight stay in hospital and blood tests they concluded that the blood came from me while BFing which is quite frankly a cop out as there is no way that is where it came from - I checked mid-feed several times and there was no sign of blood and my nips are not cracked. I was really annoyed that they ignored me when I refused to believe them but we are several days on now and he seems fine so hopefully whatever it was has passed - he did have a bad cold so maybe that is to blame. Oohh the worry of being a mummy !

Oh and had a lovely 1st Mother's day - DP brought me breakfast in bed, then DS gave me a card and a diamond necklace (which I have since swapped for a Links of London chain as I have a diamond necklace already) and then we had the M&S roast for 4 between 2 of us - YUM !!
