Sparkly!!!!!!!!! thats brill news!!! i really hope you are feeling more positive now

no joy with getting an early scan fecking doctor! Will just have to wait until I get my appointment through in the post, though I was thinking I could go and camp out in the hospital car park until they give me one

BellaHarry · 20/03/2009 17:32

Sparkly just popped in to see how you got on and I'm so happy for you!!!! That must be such a relief!!! Well done for not punching the trainee!! I hate incompetance especially with such a delicate matter! Anyway official welcome to the club! onwards and upwards from here!

Molliemooma · 20/03/2009 17:41

Well it's a day for good news, I just heard I got my promotion (externally) I am so shocked as I convinced myself I wouldn't get it My three P's are coming together for 2009

  1. Positivity
  2. Promotion
  3. Pregnancy

I best get working on number 3 now

FruitynNutty · 20/03/2009 18:35

hello everyone. i'm typing with my left hand and at a funny angle so s'cuse the spelling/grammer!
I'm finally home! I'll catch up later when I've had a good read through the posts xxxxxx

Molliemooma · 20/03/2009 18:41

Fruity I have FB'd you to say welcome home, and get some pics on you have nothing else to do
Can't wait for an update from you x

FruitynNutty · 20/03/2009 18:55

I've put some pics on FB.
I'll put some more on here soon. You can only do one at a time on MN. I'll get there though!

Update is, Jack's feeding away constantly! He's a funny looking thing (bless him). You know those little rubber hand puppets that look like screwed up faces? That's Jack! haha. When he cries, his forehead wrinkles up like a pug dog!
He's really spotty and hairy too (all over his back and shoulders) Poor little mite He's gorgeous though and wouldn't have him any other way. His face looks like DS when he was newborn but much darker hair and he's a lot scrawnier. Poor Jack, I haven't stopped making fun of him since he came out!
I can't stop staring at him - I can't believe he's actually here

FruitynNutty · 20/03/2009 18:56

excellent news on the promotion btw! I'm sooooo pleased for you, you deserve it so much! xx

Jaamy · 20/03/2009 18:58

Sorry to crash your thread - though I think I know most of you on here! Just wanted to say HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Sparkly. Well done, you very clever girl! Wishing you a very healthy and happy pg and an even healthier and happier mini-sparkly when they arrive. Take care x

Jaamy · 20/03/2009 19:01

And great big hugs for Ei. Don't give up hun. I'll need a sober companion at the Liverpool meet ups when I finally get a BFP. x

teeheelaydee · 20/03/2009 19:15

Mollie am soooo pleased for you! What fantastic news. Well done you clever girl! Like your list - do you need to include Pinot Noir onto it though!

Fruity Home already that's also fantastic - the good news just keeps on coming. Glad that Jack is feeding well - you are also a very clever girl. I'm sure Jack is more adorable than you describe - you sound like you are in a little baby bubble - enjoy.

I am feeling very warm and happy with all the news on the thread we need to send good vibes to Piper for her scan and Ei for a BFP this month. Off to have a bath with a big on my face.

SparklyPseudonym · 20/03/2009 19:56

Am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy for Mollie. It's lovely to have such good news on our thread. You deserve this.
Welcome home Fruity and Jack. He's absolutely beautiful - not funny looking at all.
Teehee How does it feel to be top of the list?
Jaamy Thank you so much. Was going to pop over to the waiting room to update but really need to have a catch up there and haven't had a chance today. xx

Thanks for all the congrats. Feel more positive but still knicker checking and searching for symptoms which seem to hide from me..I shouldn't complain. We just went out for a lovely dinner and I almost treated myself to a coke (but resisted!). I'm missing caffine.

Molliemooma · 20/03/2009 20:40

Fruity If you don't stop being horrible about Jack I will be coming round to kidnap him He is rather cute, how is the BF going?
EI How are you feeling today chick?

Thanks for the messages guys, I feel on top of the world, think that might have something to do with the bottle of red and now the bottle of bubby
I apologise if I do a drunken post later

HappyandEiknowit · 21/03/2009 00:39

jaamy hi we WILL get there and be sober at the meet ups though im loathe to give up the cheeky Vs you should join our bench and keep me and mollie company (AND newbies tend to get preg quite quickly on here so you might touch lucky)

xx ei xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 21/03/2009 08:14

Yiiipppeeeeee for Mollie. Fantastic news on your promotion. Understandably well deserved young lady . Silly people obviously had no idea how talented you are. Onwards and upwards for you my dear.

How about adding:

(Pointy) shoes
Portugual
Pot of coffee (for the hangover )

onto your list!!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Hope sun is shining wherever you are.

Am taking Mollie to swimming lesson this morn, then we're off to lovely gastro pub on Putney Common for lunch with 2 lovely families. Might even allow myself a slurp of DH's wine at lunch.

DH resigned yesterday and was frog marched off the trading floor to a standing ovation from all the other traders. He spent 8 hours in the pub and looks dog rough this morning . Hee hee.

I now have a slave house husband to do my bidding for the next 3 months. Hmmmm, shall I go to the spa or shopping first .

OP posts:
SparklyPseudonym · 21/03/2009 09:34

Morning ladies,
Georgie YEY for your DH - def hit theshops first and then relax in the spa . Have a great day.
Ei How was James Morrison? Did you have a good night?
Mollie Hope the head isn't too sore this morning. Good luck against Scotland today - after last weeks performance you shouldn't need it.

Well I've had 2 cocopops cereal bars and a load of strawberries for breccie (it is Saturday). Have to take DD dancing soon and then hopefully the sun will come out for a run around at the park.

HappyandEiknowit · 21/03/2009 11:26

SparklyPseudonym · 21/03/2009 14:22

LOL Ei .. I had tears running down my face after reading the vicar one

BellaHarry · 21/03/2009 17:17

Oh Ei that is brilliant, I just laughed out loud for a good 10 minutes!! Baby is jumping around now think I've freaked the poor little blighter out! lol I particularly like the one to teenage sister asking if she was going to 'screw' as I have a 12 yr old sister and can just imagine that happening!!

Mollie fabby news!! Well one you!

Two more sleeps 'til scan.....

Fruity looking forward to Thur, would like to buy a useful gift as I'm becoming a mum myself soon and feel there are certain things I should get for some reason,(but not sure what!) is there anything you particularly want/need?? xxx

BellaHarry · 21/03/2009 17:22

..just thought my message needed clarifying as I put 'my news' in the middle of my greetings...It's me who has a scan on Mon, I'm sure that was fairly obvious? God I'm so confused these days; was 'on-call' at work the other day; which basically means I have the radio for an hour and have to deal with behaviour concerns etc, anyway I dealt with one and then walked in to the staffroom with the radio in my hand, went to check in but realised the radio had at some point become a pencil!!! I had to re-trace my steps to discover where I had left the radio and picked up the pencil!

Molliemooma · 21/03/2009 18:32

EI Very funny thread, thanks for sharing, glad to hear that the concert was better than you thought, very considerate of him to sing your favourite songs
Sparkly How are you now officially pg lady?? Can you see me kissing my england shirt from there?
Bella Are you going to find out the flavour at your scan?
Georgie I bet DH felt so good yesterday, bless him hope his head felt better than mine this morning!

Only a quickie from me as rather hungover (still) sloping back to the sofa to watch wales lose (hopefully)
Thank you for all the congratulations girls

BellaHarry · 21/03/2009 19:40

mollie I am most defineatly going to find out la flava!!! Can't wait to know! Hope the head clears up for you soon!

HerNameWasLola · 21/03/2009 22:01

Christ you lot talk a lot

Hello my lovely ladies! That'll teach me to go away for a week won't it, took me hours to catch up last night, then by the time I'd finished was too exhausted to post!

So. Where to begin...? ()

Fruity! YYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! I know I've already said this by text, but you are such a clever girl! He is gorgeous!!Doesn't look funny to me, just delicious And SO glad to hear the bf is going well!

Sparkly HURRAH AND HUZZAR!! Couldn't stop smiling after I got your text on Friday, so thrilled for you! Hope little Spook is continuing to thrive! A sudden need for early nights definitely counts as a symptom, and you def don't need ms to have a healthy pg, just look at Fruity! So no need to wish for it, just think of it as lucky to go with your lucky bean!

Mollie you clever clever girl!! So sorry you had to go through all that heartache to get there though. At least they finally realised they were on to a good thing! Loving the "P" list! How about Precious stones, Prosecco and Prada handbags? Yum yum yum. Hope the hangover is wearing off now. Hair of the dog? It's the only way! Large, cold, spicy and STIFF Bloody Mary. Best thing for you!

Ei your chart really did look promising, it feels so horrible when it seems like your body's playing tricks on you Glad Sparkly's been able to give you some tips though I hope your DH it getting his strength up as we speak! Lots of brazil nuts and beetroot for him! Loving that other thread. I once sent a text to my DH's ex that was meant for him. Absolutely mortified... Luckily it was nothing saucy Ex is a complete cow though, so didn't feel too bad. No idea why I had her number at the time... Deleted it soon after!

Georgie woooo hoooo! Get you! We've just got a cleaner, but you now have a full time (and fully paid) slave! FANTASTIC! Lovely that you'll be able to spend some time together, especially right now. I can't believe how suddenly things have turned around for you. You absolutely deserve it though, you've had things so shit for so long, maybe now it's pay back time! Relax and enjoy my love!

Bella good luck on Monday! Hope LO is co-operative! They aren't always you know...!

Piper sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with the ms, how many weeks are you now? Hope you're managing to take things relatively easy. Sadly I have no magic remedies, I don't think there are any tbh, but it won't last forever, even if it feels like it right now...

Teehee glad to hear you're taking things a bit easier now, naughty girl! Hope DP's list is going well!

Holiday was marvellous, just what we needed. Place was even nicer than it looked on the website, real wow factor. The estate has its own private beach so for 2 days we climbed down there with a pic nic, the dogs and some books and spent the afternoon lying in the sunshine. Bliss. Never would have believed it was March, we both caught the sun So lovely to spend some time together, felt like it had been a really long time. Did us both good I think

Right. Am off to oggle Fruity's pics on fb. Just had delicious roast chicken cooked by DH. Think will definitely keep him. At least for a bit.

Molliemooma · 22/03/2009 07:55

Lola Sounds like you had a wonderful time, did you cross anymore hurdles off your list whilst you've been away?

Well Happy Mothers Day to all of you lovely ladies and Mums-to-Be, my wonderful DH gave me a box of chocolates today as he says that he still classes me as a Mum as I looked after our babies for the short time we had them, bless him, just about managed not to cry!

Hangover seems to have gone, CD12 for me so looking out for OV signs, might get a bit of nookie in later just in case

HerNameWasLola · 22/03/2009 10:09

Mollie That's so lovely of your DH Enjoy the chocs. And a bit of precautionary nookie never hurt anyone

The only hurdle I really crossed off while we were away was the little known "convince-yourself-you-may-have-listeria-and-go-to-see-a-VERY-dishy-doctor-for-reassurance-and-a-l isten-to-the-hb" hurdle

Felt really horrible on monday, so trotted along to the docs on tuesday, by which time of course I felt a lot better I think I may have had slight food poisoning. DH was brilliant, in fact he was the one who first suggested going to get it checked out, though he didn't tell me til a few days later that was because he was feeling a bit rubbish too so thought it may well be a touch of food poisoning... glad he didn't say at the time, would probably have sent me over the edge! Though in fairness, in his case it could just have been hangover Although he's pretty experienced in knowing what one of those feels like so maybe not...

Think I may have felt the first flutterings of the baby starting to move while we were away Quite a good time for it to happen actually as today is the equivalent time in this pg to the day I had to go to hospital to take the tablets to start off the induction. Then Tuesday will be the equivalent day to the day I was induced.... Seeing the mw on thursday to listen to the hb, by which time I should hopefully be more pg than I've ever been before. Not sure how I feel about it tbh. Don't feel I'm still grieving for Thomas in the same way that I was. Think taking 6 months before trying again was the best thing we could have done so far as that was concerned, I know it doesn't suit everyone but it was definitely right for me. Amazing to think that this baby's footprints would already be bigger than Thomas' which some of you have seen... It's all a bit if a head f*ck if you allow yourself to think about it too much isn't it? Will be thinking of him this week, but I think the real focus will be the anniversary of the day he was born (20th April) and the day of his funeral (1st May). Hope I haven't brought the thread down ladies, but I do think it's really important that we're able to share all aspects of this journey together, not just the good ones. Very easy to cope when things are going our way, it's how we get through it when the chips are down (I don't just mean mc) which makes us who we are. And is what has made so many of us such fabulous people!

Have a lovely day ladies, enjoy the sunshine
