OP posts:
FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 18:45

It was about 5 ish weeks.
I didn't think you ignored me btw!

Molliemooma · 06/03/2009 21:07

OK quick catch up from me,
Fruity Fantastic news for Jack's arrival, it will be here before we know it!
EI Glad your appointment went well and you are getting somewhere, shame about not being eligible for funding though
TeeHee What has DP decided about next Tuesday? I think I need to have a little chat with him and Fruity's DP in a small room, I will make them very very sorry! Thanks again for the vits
Georgie Sorry to hear you have been so poorly, get well soon
Sparkly Roll on 2 weeks, hopefully you will get a more positive result and feel a little happier
Lola How are things with you, how many hurdles have you got through now?

Just to say I'm only popping in every now and again girls so don't get worried if there is radio silence from me. Approaching EDD of 2nd m/c next week, got through the last one by being pg (little did we know that wasn't going to last! ) so struggling a little at the moment and don't want to bring the thread down, there's lots of happiness on here at the moment
Got so much going on at work and in the middle of interviews for my promotion so rather stressed too.

Take care all x

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 21:14

Oh Mollie I hope you're holding up alright? There seem to be a lot of sad anniversaries for you lately

Molliemooma · 06/03/2009 21:21

I suppose 2mm/c's and a CP in 9 months means lots of them come together unfortunately, never mind this is the last biggie so hopefully onwards and upwards

Molliemooma · 06/03/2009 21:44

Just re-read that last message, god it sounds a bit "woe is me"

mibbes · 06/03/2009 23:06

Fruity woohooo am so excited that you have a date , get as much sleep now while you still can !!!

Ei that is awful that you have to pay - fingers crossed you don't get to that point and as Fruity says the HSG may just do the trick

teehee I don't think I ever made it to the end of the CD, but given that I was only ever using it for relaxation I figured it was doing the job . Glad you are enjoying NCT classes, the girls from mine are lovely and we are all still in touch. Oh and we ended up doing weekend intensive NCT classes so that DP wouldn't miss any Champions League football matches on TV - I kid you not ! Men really need to sort their priorities . Mind you now that DS is here DP would do anything for him so they do sort themselves once the bump becomes a bundle in their arms

piper do you know I'm not sure if I congratulated you either, if not then huge congrats as I know you have had a long journey to get there - so chuffed for you xx

cricri so pleased that Elise is in the clear and that she is thriving. Evan has gone from 9th centile up to 50th so is also piling on the weight - at 3 months this week he hit the 1 stone mark . I was starting to feel like the only one not getting a full night's sleep as loads of the other mums I know have been getting a full night or ages . So far our record has been 9 hours in a row (he goes down at 7.30-8) but some nights it is a lot less and some nights am still feeding twice - as soon as I think he has a developed a pattern he just pulls the rug from beneath me and changes !

HTGG hello missus, sorry to hear you've been poorly.

Mollie big hugs to you, I am so hoping that you will have lots of good news to share soon, you really deserve it hun xx

Sparkly glad you saw yolk and sac - please take heart and listen to the wise ladies - don't worry, I'm sure all will be well.

Lola hello missus - how are you ? Am very of your meetup - I'd love to meet you ladies, I just know we'd have a great laugh and you'd not be like strangers atall - pity I'm way up here in Scotland

teeheelaydee · 07/03/2009 07:57

No decision yet on Tues night I am keeping my head down and hoping he will make the right decision!

Sparkly Try not to worry - My first scan was 6 weeks, except in wasn't because when I had the next at 8 weeks the doctor felt in was more like 7+ something. At the stage just a few days can made a difference. The sac and yolk are there and in the right place so my advice would be to try and hang on 2 weeks.

Fruity The April AN thread filled up in 5 days last week - it is awful so I have also given up. There is a thread for first-time Spring Mums which is much better so I have started to post on there.

Mollie You don't sound woe is me at all, I really did find that anniversaries were a good thing so as you say onwards and upwards. It won't be long now I'm sure. Any news on the rest of your tests?

Mibbes I can't believe that Evan is 3 months old already and a stone in weight - maybe time for some new pictures. A friend of mine as one similar age and she is still getting up in the night, in fact she wasn't but only because he wouldn't settle til 10:30, now he is down about 7:30 and awake for a feed but she says it's preferable. Don't fret I sometimes think people are exaggerating their baby's development. Good to hear he's keeping you on your toes!

Right think that's everyone - Scully has been quiet - maybe the heat has finally got to her and she's taken to her bed.

scully · 07/03/2009 10:49

I'm here, not as unbearable today with the heat, but my hayfever has returned the last 2 days, and sneezing constantly with a weak pelvic floor doesn't make me a happy camper
Otherwise all good here, about to go to bed though so will post more tomorrow

FruitynNutty · 07/03/2009 19:35

Evening all.
Had a lovely afternoon with Bella and Lola. Had a good old chinwag in the cafe then a spot of shopping in JojoMaman

Oh dear Scully Get those Tenalady in place!
Mibbes I don't believe your friends for a minute, babies just don't sleep through the night so early on!
Mollie That is what this thread is for! You can be as "woe is me" as much as you like, I certainly have!

11 more sleeps!...........
I will drive you all crazy, Mwahahahahahaha!!!!!

BellaHarry · 08/03/2009 09:49

Morning all!
Georgie sorry to hear you've been poorly hope you feel lots better soon x

Mollie sorry to hear aout your sadness at the moment. It must be so hard, my thoughts are with you

Sparkly fingers crossed fot you hun, be strong.

fruity and Lola Thank you for a lovely afternoon yeterday, and sorry for my accidental insult Lola I obviously didn't mean it as you look beautiful I'm not known for my tact I'm afraid and working with children often phrase things the wrong way. Condsider my wrist slapped. Good luck with the scan. And Fruity keep the count down coming it's an exciting time for us all!

Well I feel like poo today; really coldy so will probably take tomorrow off work, don't want to put my body under any more stress.

SparklyPseudonym · 08/03/2009 16:40

Sorry for not popping in this weekend. Have been busy with work but am almost finished - deadline is tomorrow. That'll teach me for leaving everything until the last min.
Not much to report - went to Pizza Express for dinner last night and Nandos for lunch today - absolutely nothing wrong with my appetite...my mouth tastes a bit like blood (DP thinks this is a metallic taste) and feel a little tired. Hopefully things are developing but am trying very hard not to analyse/think about being pregnant. 12 more sleeps until scan - DP is not keen to pay for a private scan on the Monday when we have an NHS scan on the Friday. He said he'd prefer to wait until after next scan and before 12 weeks...
Bella Hope you feel better soon.
Fruity What time is your c-section? Can I come? I won't offer to help with any shaving though.
Scully Oh dear. I was having this convo with a friend last week. Am going to try very hard with pelvic floor exercises after DC2.
Teehee I'm pretty sure of dates because I had an OPK+ on CD14 and then usually ovulate a day later so CD15. Am going to take your advice and hang on if I can. Maybe it was just late implantation?
Mibbes Hope you're ok lovely.
Mollie When is TEW due? Any symptoms yet (or are you trying to ignore). Will be thinking of you lots this week. You know where I am if you need to talk.
Lola Thanks for your support this week. You've been a star. xx

Hello to everyone else.

teeheelaydee · 08/03/2009 16:52

Oh I am bored today - I feel rubbish so maybe that is why - just having a tired day I think.

In fact Sparkly Pizza sounds just the thing but have to heave myself off the sofa and cook dinner soon. Taste of blood sounds like metallic taste to me - agree with your DP on the extra scan too, although I found the hardest time was between 12 and 20 weeks. Will you have a nuchal do you think? Only 12 more sleeps.

Fruity Keep counting - vv exciting! There must be something quite nice about knowing when your precious bundle is going to arrive?

Bella I would def take the day off if I were you - noone will thank you for struggling in and being ill while pg sucks.

Mollie Hope you are doing OK?

Well - DP seems to have made the right decision and is missing the football on Tues, even though he says it will be great because they are near relegation (I don't get why he wants to go and see them lose every week!) Means I don't have to purse my lips and look like my ever disapproving mother! He's a good boy!

SparklyPseudonym · 08/03/2009 16:59

Teehee Am not going to have a nuchal - didn't have one with DD as NHS didn't offer them. Am also going to refuse blood tests because I don't think I'd go ahead with the amnio. DP has a sister who is mentally disabled and although I think we'd find it tough, it wouldn't make a difference to our desire to continue with the pregnancy. Brownie points to your DP btw!!

HappyandEiknowit · 08/03/2009 23:14

hey ladies
hope everyone is having a nice sunday night
not much happening here just watching CSI new york and drinking a cuppa...cant you tell im bored
xx ei xx

scully · 08/03/2009 23:47

I shouldn't be happy that there is a cyclone off the Queensland coast, but at least it has brought us overcast skies and windy weather. As long as it doesn't get any windier here, I am loving cooler weather.
My pelvic floor was ok with my other 2 pregnancies, think is has just given up this time though I am trying to remember to do the exercises, can't say daily though.....Would be fine if I didn't have bloody hayfever. Anyway, enough winging.
Sounds like you're coping with the waiting Sparkly, well done
What a good boy your dp is Teehee, good sign of how he'll be when baby arrives, if he can prioritise now
How are you feeling Georgie, any better?
Hope your anniversary isn't too sad Mollie, and that work doesn't stress you out, it's sounding quite busy.
Am trying to find the enthusiasm to go to Ikea to price a few things I want to buy. Can't afford them just yet (joys of living without a credit card) but want to budget them in so I can have bought them by June. This is on top of new glasses for dd2 and dh, which are on top of our usual bills.....Just when I feel on top of the finances, something else arrives in the post, don't you love it

scully · 08/03/2009 23:51

Morning

Lola Loads of luck for this afternoon - you won't need it though Get some pictures!!!

Sparkly how are you feeling? Still rough?
So if you don't get a nuchal, will you have to wait until 20 weeks for your next scan? (except the next early one) I think that's awful they just leave you waiting until 20 weeks.

teehee I'm amazed at your DP I suppose I assume everyone's DP is like mine but it just goes to show they certainly aren't!

Scully I'm so relieved for you. Must be torture having all that sticky heat, especially while pregnant! How's the pregnancy going by the way? (apart from the pelvic floor of course)

SparklyPseudonym · 09/03/2009 09:22

Fruity Have a totally blocked ear this morning - is quite amusing as I can't hear DD whinging!! We do get a 12 week scan but it's not a nuchal - just simply checking EDD and for a HB. Blood tests are then offered at 16 weeks to check for DS chances.
Scully Am glad to read it's getting cooler for you. We went to Egypt when I was 22 weeks with DD and it was torture in the heat even with air con.

FruitynNutty · 09/03/2009 12:01

Oh I sympathise Sparkly! My ear keeps blocking especially at night. I just tried to make an appointment to get it syringed but they've only got next Monday afternoon (can't do as mindees asleep) So I said I'd like it done before my section on Weds. So she offers me next Friday morning ffs!!! Ummm, hello? I'll have just had major abdominal surgery and have a new born baby you stupid bat! So I told her not to worry about it, I'll just try and syringe it myself and hung up.
Honestly!

BellaHarry · 09/03/2009 17:21

I have been off work all day and got so much done, it's unbelievable!

I'm thinking about taking my maternity leave earlier than first planned??

I was going to start it 22nd July baby due 29th that way I'm back (part time) on 25th Jan '10 so baby is as close to 6 months as poss.

What do you girls think I should do I'd really apreciate your advice??

FruitynNutty · 09/03/2009 18:57

I reckon a week before baby is due is fine.
With DS I stopped work two weeks before I was due and he was nearly two weeks late so I was twiddling my thumbs for nearly four weeks wishing I was at work being properly paid!

Luckily I didn't have bills to pay back then as I was living with my mother [jammy emoticon]

teeheelaydee · 09/03/2009 19:17

How stupid Fruity, when you ask for it before the CS and then she offers it to you 2 days after! I think she's the one that needs her ears syringed! I hate to say this but no not all DP's are like yours!! I am still holding out hope that he is going to redeem himself from next Weds onwards, otherwise I am sending Mollie down to 'sort him aaaat'

Sparkly Love the DD whinging avoidance tactic! Your NHS sounds like ours - that's all we got so the nuchal was a good way of getting another scan - we had to pay but got a bit more than a scan as 8 weeks is soooo long!

Lola Now I let you off not posting at the weekend because you were living it up in the big smoke but enough is enough! Hope all went well today. Did you make any baby related purchases at JJMMBB. I ordered a gorgeous Noah's Ark sleeping bag from them at the weekend. I am now shopping like a mad woman - all essentials honest!

Bella Can see why you want to time the ML like that for returning in Jan - although don't you get pay for nine months-even if not full? However, that is awfully late to stop, especially in your job where you have to be 'on' all the time. I know Fruity has gone all the way up and I admire her for it. I on the other hand have had a really long time off as had lots of hols and not planning to go back anyway and have LOVED it! Seeing friends, sorting my house out, cooking, reading, RESTING, getting baby stuff sorted I can honestly say I have not been bored at all. Having had a pretty demanding job with quite long hours it has been lovely to have the time to do stuff and with it being your first you won't get that again. Gosh that was a bit of a long answer to your question!

Scully Whinge away lovely! this pg lark is not easy! Know what you mean about all financial rubbish coming at once - we had that about 6 months ago - but it does end eventually- promise.

Must go do dinner - see you laterxx

FruitynNutty · 09/03/2009 20:01

was it this one Teehee? My Mum bought it for us, it really is gorgeous!

I'm currently trying to find a nice but cheap to replace comfort blankie for the baby.

teeheelaydee · 09/03/2009 20:10

Yes - I originally had my eye on the cot bumper months ago but decided not to bother with one in the end so figured I'd have the sleeping bag - the others I've got from e-bay - 2 for £15 so thought I'd treat myself.

Saw some quite nice and not too expensive blankets in Toys R us today - they were like really fluffy fluffy towels ish!

FruitynNutty · 09/03/2009 20:14

Really? I'll have a look at the toysrus website. I've been shown these now but they are quite expensive. Am thinking of just using muslins for comfort blankets
