Oooh Fruity Forgot to say how gutted I am for you that button (although a rather large button) is breech, after all your efforts to have a VBAC - it's not too late though so get on your hands and knees lady! Fingers crossed that the little monkey moves.

HappyandEiknowit · 04/03/2009 22:16

hey ladies
hope everyone is ok
fruity hope button turns for you before you have to consider an ECV. Sian was breech for a few tense weeks at around 30 weeks if i remember right i spent the next 12 weeks on my hands and knees and she turnedbefore my consultant appointment so i was left on the back burner for ecv which i thankfully didnt end up needing
i have my subfertility appointment tomorrow afternoon [nail-biting emoticon] and shock of shocks i had (TMI alert!!!) the first proper EWCM i have had in months yesterday and today so i took full advantage is it bad of me that even though i was totally peed off with DH i pretended i wasnt and did it anyway and when we were finished i went right back to peed off and he seemed confused well it was for a good cause!! does everyone want to know why i had a cob on with DH?? yes?? he didnt tell his bosses in work that we had the appointment tomorrow until earlier today and has agreed to go into work and finish at 2pm... he is working an hour and a half away this week and the appointment is at 315 so he said well... they are only making sure you are fertile, yes? i said NOOOO it mite be you you know... he sed well its obv not cos iv got you preg 4 times!!! well thanks for that shrewd observation captain obvious!!! shouldnt it be less about what they are testing for and more about him being there for support no?!! blardy men!! still... i managed to get my BD quota for the night
hope everyone else is doin well
oh and in CD15 at the mo as far as i remember!! il have to change the list in a sec

Lola oooh great location, I'm going to try and park in one of the side roads so fruity doesn't have to 'waddle' too far!! lol I was 17/18 weeks in the fb picture but I have had a 'bump' since 12 weeks, so that it was noticed too! I have been in maternity clothes since 10 weeks...think it's going to be a biggun!! p.s I know I'm very lucky and don't take it for granted; my little sis was 18 weeks pg when she got married and wore a sz 6 dress!! She can't quite believe it too! Def couldn't see two babes on the scan, maybe one was hiding!!? Can't wait for Sat!! x

piper84 · 05/03/2009 11:45

Ei at your dh! men can be so blardy insensitive sometimes!
Teehee dont know what i am going to do, dont really want to start going private for scans as it would involve a lot a lot of traveling (I live in the sticks )

Had my first proper wave of ms which made me feel a bit better iykwim heres wishing to a sickly, sore boobie, loadzapeeing next 7 weeks

cricri · 05/03/2009 12:28

Hello ladies, haven't had chance to post again for what feels like ages and have just caught up on posts since the weekend!
First of all, I can't remember if I congratulated Piper or not in my last post but congratulations again I posted on your AN thread - can't believe there's a Due in November 2009 one already, but I remember I got my BFP on 1 March last year so those BFPs are going to start rolling in for EDDs in November. Hope your thread is as lovely as the November 2008 one. Glad the symptoms are starting, although you may be sorry you wished for them very soon Sorry to hear you've got to wait so long for a scan, that's terrible. As Lola said, what happens if you want a nuchal?
Sparkly Fingers crossed for you today and also for Ei but at your DH! Honestly... He's as bad as Fruity's P forgetting the date of his own wedding!
Fruity Hope you can get button to turn. Have you thought about acupuncture? Apparently that can help. Plenty of info on getting baby to turnhere too.
Lola So pleased you saw a hb, hope you're feeling better. Could the dodgy tummy be due to all the stress of work?
TeeHee Glad you're starting to look forward to baby's arrival now. Mibbes was spot on with her post - the birth is going to happen no matter what and you just have to go with it. As for afterwards, once you get over the initial shock of what to do with baby once he or she is home, things just sort of fall into place, I totally agree. Glad you're enjoying your NCT classes too
Scully Hope the hot weather eases soon - it's been going on for ages!
Emmsy Sorry to hear about your health worries atm, really hope it's nothing. How are things otherwise?
All is well here, am v of Evan only waking once Mibbes! Elise has started waking up 3 or 4 times a night to feed and even though we co-sleep so I don't need to get up, I'm still woken up IYSWIM. Apparently it's quite common around this age (there's a great thread under Sleep for sleep deprived mothers of 4-5 month olds!) I'm also bracing myself for the 20 week growth spurt too - she's in 6-9 month clothes already so goodness knows what she'll be in once that's over! Then it will be time to start thinking about weaning... It never stops. I don't think I told you all that we had some good news at her kidney scan last week btw - the dilatation has gone! Just waiting to hear from the doctors atm but hopefully we can stop giving her the antibiotics. Not sure whether they'll want to continue monitoring her blood pressure as that was still quite high. Hopefully they'll decide that it's not high enough to be worried about if the kidneys are fine.
Sorry for the mammoth post, hello to everyone I missed and hope Lola, Bella and Fruity have a lovely time on Saturday!

FruitynNutty · 05/03/2009 14:07

Afternoon all!

Well, we have a date for the birth of baby Jack!

I'm booked in for a c-section on Weds 18th March. That less than two weeks away!!!!

He's in such an awkward position ( head up, bum down, one straight leg and one bent ) and I didn't fancy having an ECV. I've certainly changed my tune haven't I!

I just thought, sod it, I can't have a HB, I can't have a water birth so what the hell. Let's just hoik him out This way, I'll have a good four weeks off work. If I wait, he could go two weeks over and then if I need a c-section by then I'll only have 2 weeks off work which would be awful.

Cricri Such a relief to hear the good news about Elise

BellaHarry · 05/03/2009 17:48

CriCri great to hear from you, hope Elise is in the all clear soon.

fruity How exciting!!! That's so soon! Oh my. I honestly think you made the right decision, safer all round and definitely better for you to have maximum recovery time! x

HappyandEiknowit · 05/03/2009 20:18

hi ladies
so my appointment went well the scan showed nothing obvious wrong with my womb and ovaries which is fab! the consultant had a look at my test results and it has been confirmed now that i have got APS and i will need treatment when i do eventually get pregnant!! he is being very thorough and has ordered a HSG to be done next cycle, he has given me a load of forms to have my bloods done for hormones at the start of my next cycle and he wants me to temp next cycle aswell so i can pinpoint ov and have a 'day 21' test the downside is...wait for it... we are not eligible for any funding for fertility treatment!! all because we have got a child!! that means ALL treatment options have to be paid for privately!! thats all drug regimes (clomid included) and all other treatment options are basically out for us as we cant afford the £400-£4000 pricetag!!
so its basically have the tests to see where we stand and then give up if we need further treatment i know im being greedy as i have already got DD but i just feel so sad when i think of her not having the little brother or sister she is constantly asking for well i suppose we will cross that bridge when we come to it and we hopefully never will come to it!
hope everyone is doing well
fruity wow on the date for jacks arrival not long left now less than 2 weeks
xx ei xx

BellaHarry · 05/03/2009 20:27

Ei I hope you need no further treatment then, good luck with all the tests etc.

I have just booked myself and DH on a Natal Hypnotherapy course, £180 in Ewell (near to me) hope DH doesn't hit the roof when he gets home from the theatre trip!

HappyandEiknowit · 05/03/2009 20:39

thanks bella hypnotherapy sounds interesting i tried to find you on FB but couldnt so if you want to add me then my last name is stackhouse and im on fruitys FB friend list so should be easy to find
hope everyone else is having a nice thursday night
xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 05/03/2009 20:53

Ei I can't believe you will have to pay for treatment I wonder if that's a postcode lottery thing? Or nationwide? I didn't think about it. I just thought I'd be given Clomid (which would have been the next step)
But having no obvious thing wrong is good news and the HSG will clear you out a bit I fell pregnant not long after my HSG - even the doc who performed it said loads of women fall pregnant after the procedure. I didn't believe him (although I had heard it before) just didn't want to get my hopes up

Sparkly Best of luck for tomorrow, you'll be fine xxxxxxx

piper84 · 05/03/2009 21:14

Sparkly don't no what happened with my msn, wont let me sign back in now. Best of luck for scan tomorrow, will be thinking of you xxx

teeheelaydee · 06/03/2009 08:00

Wow Fruity what a turn around. I can totally see why you had a change of heart, that does sound like a pretty awkward position. As you say you've always been pretty concerned about the time off work so all round this will probably be less stressful for you. Never mind I'm sure your DC3 (which will be DD1) will come out the traditional way! Will you be able to take 4 weeks after a CS or will you be forced to take 6? Whichever please don't overdo it - I worry!

Saw MW yesterday and Sticky is in a posterior position, not a huge problem I know but as the MW said could make for a long and painful labour. She also said that my normal MW would give me some exercises in a couple of weeks if it hasn't moved but I figure may as well start now as have some yoga that should help and will be getting ball out!

Ei How disappointing about the funding, I had a friend who had the same problem and in fact she was told that if her DH hadn't been the father of DS1 they could've had funding . One thing at a time though at least some tests will let you know where you stand. You may not need treatment. Fingers crossed. You were quite right to be with DH re appt but I loved your way of dealing with it - confuse him with sex - marvellous

Bella I've heard really good things about hypnobirthing, although I cannot get to the end of Mibbes CD without falling asleep - did it again yesterday and that was at 4pm! Didn't you say you were pretty sceptical about alternative therapies - what changed your mind?

Sparkly GOOD LUCK FOR TODAY, HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL AND NO FREAKING OUT IF YOU SEE NOTHING BUT A LITTLE BLACK HOLE!

Little DP related question before I go- We have an NCT class next Tues and there is a football match (DP has season ticket) He is undecided atm whether to skip football or class. I want him to come to the class but if he decides not too do I kick up a fuss or just go on my own . Why are they such a pain in the arse!!

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 09:30

Morning

I'm sooooo tired! [yaaaawwwn]

Really looking forward to our afternoon tea and JJMMBB tomorrow Lola and Bella

Teehee yes a complete turn around! I'll be taking 4 weeks off after. The way I see it is, what if they were all my children? I wouldn't even have a few days off, let alone a few weeks. Mothers with 2/3 children do it all the time. I'll just take it really easy for thse 4 weeks. Hopefully I'll have DP at home for 2 weeks and I've also got PIL/friends to help with school runs for DS.

Get into those optimal foetal positions now lady!

Re your DP and the class/football debate: I'd let him go. It's only one class. I'm amazed he goes with you anyway, DP would have gone to the 1st one and been scared off for good! In fact I don't think I'd even bother to ask him along - probably wouldn't even tell him I was going, haha.
You're a very lucky lady to have such a supportive DP Wanna swap?

BellaHarry · 06/03/2009 09:53

Teehee yes I have chanhed my tune haven't I I suppose if anything will change your views it's the fear of hours (even days) of excrutiating labour pain! lol I blame You Tube for my change of heart, I compared 'normal' labour vids with the hypnotherapy ones and OMG what a difference. The stats are really convincing too about the amount of people who managed to avoid c sections etc... so worth a try x

cricri · 06/03/2009 10:28

Fruity Wow, less than 2 weeks to go, how exciting! FWIW I think you've made the right decision to go for an elcs under the circumstances. Ladies on my AN thread who had elcs all had lovely experiences. Just make sure you do take it easy afterwards!
Ei Good news that everything seems to be OK, but sorry to hear that you would have to pay for treatment if it comes to that. Fingers crossed it won't and that as Fruity said, the HSG will clear everything out and you'll fall pg soon afterwards.
TeeHee I asked my DH what he would do in your DP's position - he said if it had been an ordinary league game he would have gone to the NCT class no question as that's more important. Had it been a more important game he would have had more of a dilemma but would probably still have gone to the NCT class to support me. Although I would probably have told him to go to football under those circumstances. IMO, you're not being unreasonable, he's only going to miss one ordinary game ffs! I assume he won't be renewing his season ticket next year??
Hope everybody else is OK today - Elise and I are off to lunch with our NCT friends. One of the girls is Egyptian and is cooking us some yummy Egyptian food

HappyandEiknowit · 06/03/2009 10:33

hi ladies
just thought i would pop in to wish sparkly good luck for her scan i hope everything goes well and you can rest easy for a while
hope everyone else is doing well

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 06/03/2009 12:37

Hello lovely ladies. Long time no speak. Sorry. What an active thread. Loads going on for you lot, so it's not as if you've all been quiet .

I am lurking and trying to keep up. And if I don't post, it's not that I don't care.

Been really poorly for 3 weeks with a chest and ear infection. Still deaf in right ear. Doc finally gave me some antibiotics. Still being sick. Think body just shut down due to all the stress about building work and me being crap at pregnancy . It's all just got on top of me a bit and I'm totally run down.

Anyhoo. I am around. Just not posting at the mo. Feeling too bluergh. And don't want to bring the thread down. Far too many interesting thigs happening . I'm fine. No wobbles. Just trying to get my strength back.

Will be back with a vengence soon.

LOL to everyone. Huge congrats to the BFP's and scans coming up. xxxxxxxx

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 13:34

Ah Georgie I was wondering where you were!

Sorry you've been ill You're not having a very good time are you

I've just been on the phone to Southern Electric. Just found ou we've been under paying our gas
Gotta pay an extra £20 per month to cover it I'm gonna have to find a weekend job I think...... Do you think I could send DS up some chimneys?

Bloody hell cricri you have a decent DH too! Where do you girls find them????? I'd really like to know!

teeheelaydee · 06/03/2009 14:52

Cricri I think your DP needs to go to the top of the class! DP has already renewed his ticket - we literally live 2 mins walk from the the ground so it doesn't impend on life too much and it's only every 2 weeks for some of the year. I don't mind really, after teaching all week I think he just goes to have a good shout! I think he'll leave his decision until we have been to the day session tomorrow. Please update us as to what food you were served - Egyptian - v/interesting.

Fruity Sounds like an elective is a more pleasant experience than and unplanned CS which I assume is what you had last time.

Bella Really interesting what you've found with the videos. Know what you mean about being willing to give anything a whirl when impending pain is in sight!

Georgie So sorry you've been ill, you're right probably your bodies way of telling you to take it easy. Hope you start to feel better soon. Antibiotics should help.

Went to collect baby monitor today at the PO- haven't had a chance to play with it yet as have been cooking - Roasted Vegetables and Carrot Cake to take to NCT course and Spag Bol for freezer. Which is already overflowing as DP has given up booze for lent and seems to be taking his mind of it by cooking ALL the time - well I know which I would prefer.

SparklyPseudonym · 06/03/2009 15:30

Hi ladies,
Quick one from me as just got in from swimming.
As some of you know, scan this morning didn't really show a lot. A sac and a yolk sac but she kept asking me if my dates were right. I told her they were so things are on the small side. Have to go back in 2 weeks. May see if we can get a private scan before then but we'll see.
xx

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 17:04

Sparkly you scan showed the same as mine, don't worry. So far so good

Has anyone else been on their Ante-natal thread? I've decided mine is awful. Every time I go on I get completely ignored I'm not going to bother anymore. Bunch of meanies

SparklyPseudonym · 06/03/2009 18:20

Oh great - I think I've got an upset stomach...just what I need.

SparklyPseudonym · 06/03/2009 18:20

PS Fruity didn't mean to ignore you. How many weeks and days were you at 1st scan?
