Morning bubble, I'd def believe your body, I ov'd twice last month, or rather delayed the first one, coz I was ill. So I'd cover all bases and assume you're oving now. Don't know if FF can account for that.

bubblebell1 · 23/01/2009 09:25

Thanks small

whats a persona.. would you reccomend getting 1?

OP posts:
girlwithacurl · 23/01/2009 09:46

bubble i know, why can't it be easier, i sometimes feel that my body isn't on my side and keeps sending me mixed signals!
Apparently you can get EWCM during your lutal phase, and if your temp is definitly up then I would say believe FF... HOWEVER bd'ing can't hurt if you are unsure, i mean, whats the worst that can happen, your not fertile but you still get some fun , if you are then great!

bubblebell1 · 23/01/2009 09:51

girl when will you be testing?? your near the top of the list im excited got to be some BFPs soon

girlwithacurl · 23/01/2009 10:02

my frustratingly long cycle means AF isn't due until a week on Sun! CD38! its so annoying although I have to go to the hospital to have some injections for something else next week, and they can't do this if I am PG, so I have to call them to find out if they can do a blood test, so I might find out then!

girlwithacurl · 23/01/2009 12:14

bubble some info from FF for you:

Some cervical fluid after ovulation is possible because the corpus luteum, though its main function is to produce progesterone, produces estrogen in small amounts. This may cause you to see some fertile-looking cervical fluid, even after ovulation.

If your temperatures and other signs show clearly that you have already ovulated, then you can be confident that you are no longer fertile. It is also not uncommon to confuse semen and eggwhite or watery cervical fluid. Some women also notice some fertile-looking cervical fluid just before menstruation.

However, if your chart does not show clearly that you have already ovulated (with a clear and sustained thermal shift) do not stop having intercourse. Keep on considering the possibility that you are still fertile as long as you see fertile cervical fluid to make sure you don't miss a chance to conceive.

earlynite · 23/01/2009 12:21

Hi everyone!!!! I will be testing tomorrow (if AF doesnt arrive)

Hobnobfanatic · 23/01/2009 14:36

Good luck early night!

eeyore2 · 23/01/2009 15:26

Good luck earlynight! I hope it goes well.
I will be testing on Monday, although I am not really holding out much hope.
Amanda, I am very impressed with your BD marathon! But it seems from what I have read that every other day is really ok, and is in fact more likely to give a successful result because you're less likely to get exhausted and give up too early.

smallone · 23/01/2009 16:59

bubble The persona is like the clearblue fertility monitor which is marketed as a contraceptive. Basically you tell it when your cycle starts and on certain days it asks you to poas. These measure two hormones oestrogen and LH I think and when they peak it gives you an egg symbol so you know you're oving in the next 1-3 days. It gives you either a green light or a red light depending on how likely it thinks you are to get pg. It remembers your cycle from month to month so that it becomes more accurate over time. It costs £60 for a starter kit and then £8 (off internet, £12 boots) for the sticks each month. However I bought it as a contraceptive and 6 months down the line concieved dd, oops. So I can't recommend it as a contraceptive but I am finding it helpful as an aid to conception. It is not suitable for anyone with PCOS cos of the hormones involved and it doesn't work with cycles under 23 days or over 35 days.

Hey there!

AF started this afternoon . Guess I was right to be concerned about the lack of grottiness, so now I'm back on the ttc treadmill. Not sure what will happen now wrt my cycle so I'll just see what occurs.

RipMacAeFondKiss · 24/01/2009 06:54

Have been up for ages with a snuffly DS.

Just wanted to nip on here and wish you lots and lots and lots of luck for testing earlynite
