Right, sun is well and truly down, time to get the Chrimbo booze open. Good luck to anyone testing soon.

Merry Christmas one and all !

smileycat · 26/12/2008 19:18

VJ congratulations on your BFP

Well I tested on Christmas morning convinced that I wasn't in with a chance as I OV'd very early & didn't think we'd timed it right but BFP

We are still in shock but it was a fantastic way to start Christmas morning, still grining now

olivo · 26/12/2008 19:43

smiley - well done! congratulations!
what a fab christmas pressie!

VJay · 27/12/2008 09:20

Congratulations smiley that is a lovely Christmas present xxx

naturelover · 27/12/2008 11:44

Wow great to see some BFPs this festive season.

AF is now one day late but I still had a BFN this morning. I don't feel pregnant OR premenstrual! Yesterday I felt well and truly pregnant.

The two other times I've been pregnant in the past, I didn't get a BFP until my period was a whole week late, so maybe I am pregnant after all? The waiting is hard!

Can anyone tell me if the cheap Boots tests are accurate. This is what I used. The were 5 pounds for two, which seems very cheap. If I'd bought Clearblue for example, are they more sensitive to lower levels of pg hormone? Just wondering if it's a false economy buying the cheap ones.

VJay · 27/12/2008 12:12

I've bought the cheap boots ones and they've always been accurate for me. Good luck xx

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 20:29

so sorry for all the BFNs
Not sure about Boots tests, bit don't buy the sainsbury's ones!
Not testing again for a few days

2manychips · 28/12/2008 21:39

Vjay flibberty and Smiley Congratulations!

Bfp's-how are you all feeling?

naturelover I bought the cheapy Tesco (2 tests for £4.35), but it picked up my bfp a day before af was due.

naturelover · 29/12/2008 07:26

I wish I knew what was going on. My period is 3 days late, I feel pregnant, but I've had 3 BFNs (including this morning).

I'm breastfeeding DD 16 months but only twice a day so I didn't think that would make much difference. If I've stopped ovulating then I wonder why it would happen now as I've cut down feeds in the last month or two. My periods returned when I was feeding 4 times a day after all! Or is a period no guarantee of ovulation? I think I need to read up more.

Is anyone else still waiting to test?

StealthPoHoHoHo · 29/12/2008 09:28

me! Also still bf lots! at 20 months. No idea if I'm ovulating, if I get a BFN this time am going to get some ov-wee-on-a-sticks.

StealthPoHoHoHo · 29/12/2008 09:28

nl, can you leave it a couple of days and test again?

naturelover · 29/12/2008 10:03

Stealth, when is your AF due? Good luck!
I suppose I should wait a few more days and test again, if AF hasn't arrived. I'm so impatient!

VJay · 29/12/2008 15:38

Fingers crossed for you both naturelover and stealth

StealthPoHoHoHo · 29/12/2008 21:41

Thanks but I'm not hopeful.
No-one else tested?

smileycat · 30/12/2008 12:39

Thanks for asking 2manychips I'm feeling good today only mild cramps & tingly nipples but apart from that its hard to think that I really am pg I keep thinking I better do another test just to make sure its still there, I'll be glad when the bump starts to grow that way at least it wont be all in my mind
I can't believe I only found out just less than a wk ago (xmas morn) it feels like forever already & if I hadn't of done temping & peeing on sticks I still wouldn't have know yet that I was (OV'd early CD9) as I wouldn't have been testing till tomorrow
How is everyone else?
Anyone left still to test New Year, I think we need an updated list to see where we all are

StealthPoHoHoHo · 30/12/2008 19:10

thinking about testing tomorrow, anyone else?

2manychips · 30/12/2008 20:10

Smiley I'm having trouble convincing myself too. Am feeling kind of normal except for a cold. Dr booked me for a scan next wed because of the bleed so I guess and hope that my little bean's existence is confirmed then.
Lots of luck Stealth.

StealthPoHoHoHo · 30/12/2008 20:32

I'm sorry I don't have any experience of bleeding but surely the whole doubt thing is normal? I know when I first got a BFP I had to keep checking in case it was faint / I'd dreamt it/drawn it on with a felt tip? When I went to the docs I was disappointed they didn't do another test and just took my word for it!
Wasn't till I started being sick that I really believed it.

StealthPoHoHoHo · 31/12/2008 08:53

BFN for me ah well

naturelover · 31/12/2008 09:56

Sorry to hear that Stealth. But still no AF? So there's still hope? Good luck.

I'm now 4 days late but have decided not to test again until I'm a whole week late. I've wasted money on 3 tests so far (I have one more left of my two packs of two from Boots). I've decided that the cheapo Boots tests are possibly not very sensitive, so I'll wait as long as possible before using my last one.

StealthPoHoHoHo · 31/12/2008 10:28

With the day I'm having AF will probably put in an appearance in the queue in M&S!
I'm using boots tests too, was hoping my ebay ones would arrive and I'd retest, but thay haven't. I have a First response one, but will hold onto that for now.
(How ridiculous - they're sticks to wee on, but I'm worried about how much they cost / whether I should we eon them!)
