hi vj - i am now on the 2ww, hoping to test 2 weeks today if AF doesnt arrive. Fortunately, have a really busy couple of weeks so will try not to symptom spot

flibbertywidget · 06/12/2008 23:27

MOI!!!! - I have ET on tuesday so will be testing just before the festivities.....

aaagh symptom spotting, someone should write a book about it. The knicker checking... a particular fave of mine.

We are going through FET grown out to blastocyst. I have a 19month old from the same procedure so really keeping everything crossed for it to work this time.

VJayMerrilyOnHigh · 07/12/2008 09:31

Oooohh i'm keeping everything crossed for you both. Lucky you olivo being so busy not to symptom spot, I'm going to try not to {fhmm].

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 09:41

Thanks
OK so how do I make sure that this is the month??

VJayMerrilyOnHigh · 07/12/2008 09:55

Lots of BDing , I'm on CD18 now, and I ov'd about 2 days ago, so that's it for me now, I've just got to wait. Where are you in your cycle?

OP posts:
olivo · 07/12/2008 09:58

I'm a teacher VJ, so all the festive things going on at school (as well as loads of exmas to makr ).
Saying that i have no time, i've spent a disproportionate amount of time this morning trying to suss out if i really did ov - my bloody temps are all over the place
HI stealth - loads of bding for you this month!!

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 10:01

no real cycle yet after DS had a period on 16th Oct, one on 30th Nov ...

olivo · 07/12/2008 10:08

stealth - are you temping or using opks or anything?

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 11:13

Temping - do you mean taking temp? Have tried that in the past and even though I tried to do it at the same time every day it still varied wildly. Don't know what opks is so I guess not

VJayMerrilyOnHigh · 07/12/2008 11:49

Hi stealth you should be on CD8, so start bding this week and beyond. My cycle is 31 days so we've been busy this week , but my temp went up this morning, so ov has happened (I think, I'm no expert), so the waiting begins...

OP posts:
olivo · 07/12/2008 12:05

yes, temperature taking- i know what yuo mean about wildly varying, mine went up a couple of days ago but went down today . don't think the disturbed nights help!OPKs - ovulation predictor kits - you know, peeing on a stick!. Can you tell I'm an obssessive?

VillageMum · 07/12/2008 14:37

Hi olivo, VJay, my old chat (and cycle!) buddies... I am trying desperately NOT to symptom spot but it's well nigh impossible - so think I'll join you!

VeryKeenForABean · 07/12/2008 14:46

Hello all, think I will join you if that's ok? I am due AF on 27th, so not quite in my 2ww yet, in fact stocking up for the bd marathon at the end of this week!! I will be knicker checking all over Christmas. let's hope santa brings us all what we want!!

VJayMerrilyOnHigh · 07/12/2008 14:48

Hello vm, I knew you'd find us . I'm the same, I don't want to symptom spot, but I know I will, next week will be when it all starts.

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 15:03

Hi everyone who's just joined!
Do you mind me asking how long the rest of you have been trying?

VillageMum · 07/12/2008 15:06

Hi Vjay! I'm trying to think back to my symptoms when I was pg with ds, and with my last pg which ended in mc... I seem to get an upset tummy fairly early on, so will be wondering if it's going to happen again. One can drive oneself nuts this way, though. Much cleverer would be to start an intensive and absorbing course of study between now and Christmas in, say, nuclearthermodynamics or surrealist poetry.

VillageMum · 07/12/2008 15:08

Hi stealth, I'm in my first cycle of ttc following a mmc in September. That was a totally unexpected pregnancy and I have one ds (aged 7) too. But I'm OOOOLD! 39! So don't expect to be a goddess of fertility at this point any more. Right, back to the surrealist poetry!

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 15:09

sorry to hear about your mmc
Best way to get pg would be surely to plan something important for next September, something you can't possibly miss / do with a bump/baby!

StealthPolarBear · 07/12/2008 15:10

think I might go back to uni

VillageMum · 07/12/2008 15:25

Stealth, yes, that's an excellent idea - think I will plan to have tea with the Queen next September and then that should do it!
In an idle moment I foolishly googled accounts by women who 'just knew' they were pg anywhere around 3 days post ov and who confidently cited long lists of symptoms too - boy, was that a mistake!
