hello there
Today is officially the first day of the rest of my life, because yesterday was my last day at work. I am hoping that redundancy and short term unemployment is as fertile for me as it was for MrsH . I was sad to leave and my colleagues took me out for drinks before I left and I got lots of birthday and leaving presents, so I got a bit tearful (mainly because a couple of friends did and they set me off - I am such a weepy person ), but actually I am pleased and excited too. All the redundancy people are leaving on different days, as they gradually get finished off, so it was a bit wierd to have my day.
caitni - sorry to hear that the stimming is going too well, but try not to worry too much. I remember that the same thing happened to me on my first cycle. My ovaries went into over(y) drive initially and i had 14 big ones, but then they seemed to settle down and take their time to produce ripe follicles in the end. I think some people react uber quickly to the stimming drugs int he first few days. Sending lots of good vibes to my fellow sharps soldier . DH calls me his "Brave Little Soldier" (quite sarcatically I think ) every morning after I get jabbed in the tummy and my birthday card was addressed that way too . That was better than last years card when DH wrote the card (not the envelope!) to "To Gorgon [my second name]" - he'd written it in a hurry in the office !
Bucky - I am at your trip away to Poole for your birthday. I was trying to get my DH to take me away, but no luck, although we are going to Les Miserables tonight. The big joke in our house is that I'm the only woman DH has slept with who he hasn't taken to see it! DH has seen it about 8 times (he really likes it ) although hopefully he's not been to see Les Mis in the last 8 years .I may have to show him your post and hope that he gets the hint that a trip away would be lovely to celebrate my birthday and to get over the trauma of redundancy
MOB - I'm so sorry to hear that twin #2 is slowing down again, but as caitni said, 34+4 is great going for twins, especially with two such troublesome little blighters . And breech too! You should be very proud of yourself and it must be hard in the heat, so I hope your DH is rubbing your feet and bringing you lots of cool drinks Have you thought of any names yet?
MrsH - LOL at the bubbles in the drip story. I am with you and caitni, panicking about bubbles. I make DH flick the syringe about 15 times all the while wailing "Nooooo, I can still see bubbles!"
picknmix - are you about m'dear? How are thinsg with you?
ei - come back and tell us all your news.
jolly - how was your holiday?
take care everyone and keep the updates coming
