Off to bed at ten to nine MrsH...Rock and roll! ...LOL.

Caitni great to hear all is well and v. impressed at your positive attitude to being left all exposed like that!

PicknMix I have come to realise of late that utter panic and those 'out of my depth' feelings are just learning pains. If you don't feel them then you are not growing intellectually. They are a good thing and in a few months from now you know you will laugh at how you thought you would never get it. Because in a few months you will be able to do the job standing on your head. Probably best not to do it standing on your head at that point though as it may make people question your sanity . You go girl!! Whoop whoop....

Ei and MOB are you MIA?

I am actually REALLY depressed about my BFN. I felt like AF was arriving but the sensation has passed. Tomorrow will probably be CD1 as normal, just have to wait for her to arrive!

I am worried about the amount of junk I am consuming. I eat cakes and chocolate all day and just about fit one proper meal a day in. This will probably make me even less fertile (if that is humanly possible). If not I will be so enormous that DP won't want to BD with me so it will get me either way!

Boooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrriiiing! .

Where are you all?

Just writing with a quick update as I am sure you are all dying to know about my cycle today LOL . Well AF is not here. She always comes on CD29 so the Clomid has altered my cycle. As I am pretty sure I ov on CD15 I have a super long LP now 14 days! Up from an LP of 11 days. So now I just have to wait for TEW to rear her evil red head! Icould have ov later I guess but all the EWCM had dried up by CD16 and I had that Mittleschmerz thing so I am really sure it was then...Oh who bloody knows! , this whole process is ANNOYING now!

MrsHappy · 16/01/2009 20:42

Or you culd just do another test...

Bucky2008 · 17/01/2009 14:48

Still BFN, still no AF. I hate Clomid now .

PicknMix · 17/01/2009 16:02

Please will someone give Bucky an answer?!

(and whilst they're at it, could someone just let me know whats happening in my cycle?? Just a tiny little hint would be enough)

PicknMix · 17/01/2009 16:04

Oops....

"Amen"

hi girls
sorry for not being around this week some plank spilled a drink on my laptop charger at my DDs birthday party last weekend and i didnt notice until my laptop ran out of charge on monday. i stupidly decided to try and dry it out and test it and in doing so i blew out our ring main and electrocuted myself in the process bad times...
cd30 for me and af due in a couple of days. well actually i am pretty sure i oved around the time me and DH BDed last around the right time (not more recently for fun if ya get me) which was about cd16-17 which would either mean my lp has lengthened and is ongoing in excess of 12 days or my timing is off (EWCM/watery CM around the right time, all dissappeared around cd18) but im pretty sure i am right about the timing, or my recent further weightloss has affected my cycle (15lb and counting) or something is happening who the heck knows eh??!!
mrsH so sorry AF got you i havent had any psychic dreams recently but il have a word with the spirits and see if i cant make your dreams come true relax for a bit now, theres a dear
bucky any news?? i am so wishing for a BFP for you
PnM oooo get you chauffeur driven car?? are they still taking on new employees where you now work?? i want a job like yours where in gloucester are you working?? i go to gloucestershire every year for the raf fairford air show its not my bag really but DH and FIL are plane enthusiasts and like it so i am made to go and be bored in a tent for the weekend we go to chipping norton and usually travel to oxford or stratford upon avon for a day aswell shopping takes the edge off somewhat
caitni glad your hsg went well but sunds a little uncomfortable having to wait around with a speculum up your spout while the consultant was found to come and sort you out im glad it turned out well.
hope everyone else is doing well
xx ei xx

Bucky2008 · 18/01/2009 18:22

Gosh Ei electrocution is never a good thing! ...(I just typed 'shock' for my emoticon, quite appropriate in this case!LOL).

PicknMix your prayers to the God of Clomid worked. AF has arrived, CD1 here. So now I have a dilemma....

  1. Do I temp this month to be sure of when I ov even though it makes me obsessed with getting a BFP and I actually feel cheated when I don't because I invested so much time scientifically calculating the deed? Consequently, if there is no BFP I will be ready to throw myself off the nearest tall building. However, I will know when I ovulate.....
  1. I go to Miami on the 5th Feb which is around CD19 ish have to check...so it could be that I ov after I leave and then I will have wasted a month of Clomid. So should I skip the Clomid this month or take it and hope I ov before I go and then the 2ww will be relatively painless because I will be distracted by other things.

Votes please?

OP posts:
PicknMix · 18/01/2009 18:56

Ooooo, Bucky that wasn't quite the answer I was praying for.... Sorry

As for your quandary - my vote would be 2.b) hedge your bets for early ov and take the clomid. Not sure what I'm basing that on, just that I pretty sure you'll be kicking yourself if the egg turns up before you leave for Miami ( by the way!).

Oh, and no to temping. It turns you into a crazy lady (). Unless you think it will help you. My bet is that if you temp AND take the clomid and it doesn't show a rise before you leave for Miami you will deffo turn into crazy lady. This way you can just pop the pills and hope for the best.

Ei you poor thing - as Bucky pointed out, very ing indeed! Nice work on the weight loss btw, very impressed! Sadly I was only in Gloucester for about 2 hours before we moved on to Swindon, Reading and Thatcham (plus a few others). It was also in the fog so not entirely sure where we were in Gloucester

I'm busy looking at furniture on ebay - anybody got any wardrobes they want rid of?? Am about to bid on a dresser for our back room (affectionately known as the 'Boot Room' a la Catherine Gee from 'Escape to the Country') but not really sure I like it. Am only buying it 'cos its going for bargainous £30 and I'm imagining all the crap kitchen equipment I can store in there!

MrsHappy · 19/01/2009 07:52

Hi all

Bucky I am sorry your period arrived. I vote for taking the clomid and not temping if it drives you mad. But I do think you should try to get to a day 21 blood test this time, just so you know what's going on.

I hope something is happening Ei. It's time for a bit more good news on this thread. . How electrcuted were you? You aren't hurt at all, are you?

PnM I am of you having a boot room. V posh. My boots all live by the front door!

No news here. Am quite blue in gerenral because work is not great and I have this op on Thursday. After the last year I am getting to the stage where picking myself back up is getting harder and harder and I am not really sure what I can do to make myself feel better (other than maybe getting a new job!! Or drinking faaaar too much, I suppose). Anyway, sorry to be a moaner, promise I will be back to my normal levels of cheeriness before long!

Hope everyone is ok. MOB where have you gone? Did you have that scan yet?

Caitni · 19/01/2009 17:43

hi ladies

Ei in spite of the electrocution (you poor thing!), things sound pretty promising for you - I'll be keeping my fingers firmly crossed that this is your month! And well done on your weight loss. I'm for you but also as my own health kick/new year diet has resulted in my losing precisely one pound - time to get my arse in gear and actually lose some weight!

MrsH sorry to hear you're feeling blue . Please don't apologise for moaning - we're hear to listen, so if you want to rant, rave, moan, whatevs then please feel free. I'll be thinking of you on Thursday.

Bucky so sorry to hear AF arrived . Not sure what's the best with your dilemma, but since you'll be missing your day 21 test (am so at Miami!!!) then I think temping may be the best way of knowing when you ovulate...but I'm saying that because somewhere in the recesses of my memory I read that clomid, when it works, makes ovulation happen a fixed time after the last pill is taken. So you should know well before Miami that you've ov'ed. Would it be worth sneaking onto one of the clomid threads and asking the advice of some experts?

PnM also so at your boot room - that's so cool! Good luck with the wardrobe shopping . And sounds like the new job is keeping you busy. My job's also been keeping me busy (with practically no time for internet all the working day long ) and it's quite nice, as it makes the days fly past!

MOB am hoping all's dandy with you and the chicks

Not much going on with me, other than think I'm about 3 dpo, though haven't had a very satisfactory temp shift . Didn't bother with the CB monitor so am assuming I ov'ed on CD11 as usual. We managed the deed a couple of times around then so am hopeful. But to be honest, the packing up the flat and the work busyness have been keeping my mind off things!

Caitni · 19/01/2009 17:45

PS wanted to add to PnM WTF? June?!? I was given my results on the day of my HSG so am assuming this app is for a consultant to map out what happens next? If so it's totally shocking that you have to wait so long...

PicknMix · 20/01/2009 15:51

I apologise in advance for the mememe ness of this post but I think I'm about to lose the plot.

I've spent the afternoon on the phone to my hospital trying to find out why my appt has been shifted to June. I've been pushed from pillar to post, spoken to 4 separate people and am still none the wiser.

Am now sat in toilets at work crying my eyes out. Why the fuck does it have to be so difficult?

By the time I actually see the consultant it will be 2.5yrs of ttc , 3yrs of using no protection.

One lady told me she'd get the consultants secretary to ring me back this afternoon, 2hrs later I've heard nothing so ring them only to find she's not actually at work today.

Another lady helpful told me 'well, if you want to rearrange the appt the next available date I have is for 16th July'. Are they trained at Lets Piss PnM Off School or somewhere?

Will be back later once I've wiped away the snot and can reply to you properly without being quite so introspective.

MrsHappy · 20/01/2009 16:38

Oh gosh, picknmix. They are bloody useless, aren't they?
Do you have your consultant's name? If so, can you try to find his or her email address? I would put something in writing if possible, that way maybe you wil get a better response.

I swear that some hospital workers are trained in putting people through to the wrong number and messing them about generally.

Have some ((((higs))))

Caitni · 20/01/2009 17:48

Oh PnM big big hugs to you. How horrible. I'm just so that you're being treated so terribly - having such a long delay to get results/next steps is just not on. It's January FFS - how on earth can it be at least half a year before you can see a consultant??

Bucky2008 · 20/01/2009 21:39

Right PnM what bloody hospital is it? I'm going round there to duff them up!!! . I am totally with you with the feelings of helplessness resulting from the total incompetancy and lack of interest demonstrated by the majority of people who work in most service industries. Why are so many people so shit???? and at the same time people who aren't shit are getting made redundant by the tens of thousands . Just f-ing stalk them PnM, ring them up every bleedin ten minutes until someone answers your question. Or I will. grrrr. It is totally unreasonable that any human being be treated the way you are being treated. Three years IS a long time, July is NOT acceptable and saying they will ring you back and then not even bothering to ring and tell you that the woman is not there is just plain DISRESPECTFUL AND INCONSIDERATE. . And breathe....>

Bucky2008 · 20/01/2009 21:51

Hmm, sorry bit of an outburst there! Haven't had one of those in a while! But really! PicknMix and Mrs Happy both get MASSIVE hugs and glasses of Bombay Sapphire with Slimline Tonic from me. Hmmph.

At least you have a boot cupboard PnM there is some sunshine in the world.

I realised after taking my first Clomid tab of this cycle that I am indeed going to miss my Day 21 blood test again as I will be in Miami...shall I say that again tee hee...I WILL BE IN MIAMI...Woo hoo. Anyway, methinks this will pee off the hospital so I am thinking of going on the morning of my flight CD19. Or I could pay on my hols , but the alcohol will probably mask any progesterone. Having said that, the last Day 3 test I went for I was pregnant and the hospital told me all my test were fine! They don't seem to have got any notes from my doctor about the MC, instills great confidence in their skills!

Anyway, I am being rubbish at doing shout outs these days. So hello to all my favo ladies. MOB stop trying to hide, I found you on FB , you know my stalking skills are legendary. There is no escape from the Buckster...come to our little meet up and let us meet the chicklets. xx

Hi everyone

Things are crazy busy with me - moving Sat so today's my last day in the office til Tuesday - so just wanted to quickly say hello to everyone.

PnM hope you're feeling better - did you get through to anyone else in the end?

Bucky so jealous of Miami! I'd suspect that paying in the US for a prog test, simple as it is, may cost $$$ as your insurance probably wouldn't cover it and the US healthcare system is expensive. So going on the morning of your flight may be a better idea.

Ei any news from you?? Hope things are good

Big waves to MrsH and MOB and everyone else. Hope everyone's well

PicknMix · 22/01/2009 19:10

Evening all,

I'm sorry for posting and running the other day. Things are crazy hectic with my job and I spent most the evening in tears last night - surprise surprise pissing period turned up last night. Good timing eh ?

Bugger - I meant to post this morning to say I hope all goes well today MrsH at your op. Let us know how it went when you're up to it. I'm sorry you're going through the mill a bit as well at the moment . Sadly have no advice but can empathise wholeheartedly - rant and rave as much as you want to on here if it helps.

It helps more than you know to have you guys championing my cause - Bucky your post made me which was no mean feat! Just for naming and shaming purposes its Chichester Hospital. Total idiots all of them. Had a call yesterday (which I missed due to working) from the consultants secretary (points for actually ringing me back) saying they'd send my test results in the post. [Hmm]. So I get to see my results but have no one to discuss them with. Brilliant.

Have decided I will wait until they arrive then make an appt with my Dr to see if she can decipher them. Will also take your advice MrsH and get an email address for the consultant. Have many offers from friends/family to pay for a private consultation which I will make use of, it just grates that I pay literally thousands in National Insurance but get nowt in return. Its the same consultant private or NHS in this area so effectively just paying to jump the queue.

Anyway.

Far too self absorbed sorry.

Def think getting your 21day test done on cd19 is the way to go Bucky, as Caitni says it would cost ££ to get it done in the USA. Still bout your trip to Miami!

Good luck with the move Caitni, glad to hear you've got some time off to sort it all. Must be stressful. You must be about 7dpo now? Am thinking positive thoughts for you x

Where are you MOB? Hope all is ok? Bit concerned bout you but hope its just RL getting in the way of your mnetting time!

How are you feeling Ei my little fb buddy ? Hope you're ok after your 'shocking' experience?

MrsHappy · 22/01/2009 19:12

Hi
A quickie cos I feel like poo, but I hope the move goes smoothly, nearly-neighbour Caitni.

My procedure went fine. I can't call it an op because once they got in my uterus was smooth and beautiful and perfect and there was nothing to chop. So now we can get on with knitting a new sprog.

Be back some other time whEN i FEEL BETTER.... (sorry re caps.)

HappyandEiknowit · 22/01/2009 22:21

hi ladies
PnM so sorry AF turned up but -- silver lining mine did too so we are cycle buddies and i have been mighty lucky in the past with my cycle buddies so fingers crossed you never have to write that email to your crappy consultant
mrsH glad to hear you are all smooth inside (armadillo!!!) get better soon
bucky @ miami can i come too??
caitni hope you are ok
and a big hello to everyone else

Bucky2008 · 23/01/2009 06:50

Just rushing in...gotta get ready for work but :

Glad all went ok MrsH
Sorry AF turned up PnM

I am freaking out this morning because I have been taking my clomid at night about 10pm. Last night I went out got back really late and went straight to bed forgetting to take it . I took it this morning but now I have probably buggered everything up and i am really embarrassed to ring the hospital as they will probably doubt how seriously I am taking this whole thing, what with no Day 21 test and now this!!!

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 23/01/2009 06:51

Just noted your AF turned up too Ei . Roll on next month for a BFP! x

OP posts:
PicknMix · 23/01/2009 08:06

Just did a v quick google for you Bucky and everyone seems to say if you miss a pill just take it as soon as you remember and then carry on as usual. I would prob ring the hospital and just double check with them though - the chances are, the person you speak to wont read your notes and wont know about the missed day21 test.

Sorry to hear bout af arriving for you too Ei, nice that we're cycle buddies tho! Oh, and I re- read my post earlier - no idea why I put a after my fb comment, it was meant to be a , the wink looks a little sinister!!

Really pleased to hear about your smooth innards MrsH, hope you're feeling bit less poo today x
