Dawni-how are the cramps? I'm crampy a tad but am putting it down to the excessive BDing of the past few days.

MJIM-babies heads do smell yummy don't they. I still sit and drink in the smell of DD2's hair. DD1 doesn't sit still long enough.

Have a good evening ladies, just want to wake up and take my temp.

I have just thrown my mobile after DS storming into his bedroom and slamming door coz i wouldnt let him watch a programme about the worlds strongest men !!! it was an impulsive thing and thankgod it still works

HumphreysCorner · 10/01/2009 21:52

MJIM-she is lovely and lots of lovely hair too.

Dawni-check out the Acronym List under Useful Stuff at the very top of the page. Willmouse will explain HSG. BTW I have sore boobs and a temper from hell and haven't evened confirmed when I OV'd. Oh, the mad, mad world of TTCing.

MYIM - doing good thanks. Spent this am wandering around town with DH and chatting about baby stuff. Was a bit shocked at beginning of week but feeling quite excited now. Convinced DH that a doula is good which was a relief. Keen to tell parents but DH and MIL in Uganda for 2 weeks from Thurs. MIL will go hyper so don't want to say anything too soon!

No nausea yet but only 5+1. Just waiting for MW to call with booking appointment. Doesn't quite seem real.

HumphreysCorner · 11/01/2009 10:49

Yay-OV is confirmed as CD 12 (last Thursday) so now 3 DPO and can obsess. DH told me not to get excited as I won't be PG anyway. Men huh!

PurpleCrazyHorse-with DD1 we told MIL straight away and she was hyper too. Wondered why I didn't want DH's old cot. After telling her to keep it quiet until after the 12 week scan she told half of her village while walking the dog. Didn't tell her until 13 weeks with DD2 but somehow SIL had guessed. Can't keep anything secret. You might not get sickness.

Soosy-you about and doing OK? Missing you.

A lady in our area jumped to her death on Friday while mum and dad were there with DD2. Didn't know she had died until I saw it in the papers yesterday so told mum to phone the police as she was a potential witness. So very .

Better get on. Have a good day.

Goodmorning to you ladies

HC what an awful thing to witness, did your DD see much, i do hope not ! It would be a huge shock and so very upsetting x

After wiping ones self this morning there was a substantial amount of pink/red in the cm, i am most definatley not pregnant this month, im not due on until friday, but im not gonna kid myself anymore, everyones positive vibes helped me through this last week, but now i can plan next months BDing and just keep trying {big sigh}

Hope you have more luck HC

Catch ya later

D xx

HumphreysCorner · 11/01/2009 15:55

Oh Dawni-I do hope it isn't AF preparing to arrive. DD2 didn't see anything luckily as they were walking to the top of the little castle while the lady stopped halfway up and removed her shoes and put them on the wall with her handbag before she jumped. By the time mum, dad and DD2 walked back down she was on the floor with the First Response Unit looking after her.

Bellie · 11/01/2009 16:09

Oh HC - how awful, thank god dd or your parents didn't see anything, but agree your mum might have seen something that could help the police.

Dawni, I really hope that it is not af arriving, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

MIL and friends gone (whoo hoo) and dh is looking shattered! At least he appreciates how little his mum ever does to help- i am sure that he used to think that I was exaggerating before. I mean really, I was putting dd to bed, dh was out getting the takeout and there were a pile of plates and glasses on the side - she stood next to them talking never thinking to wash them or put them in the dishwasher. I come downstairs an start loading the dishwasher - and she says "I'm sorry Bellie, I didn't realise they had been used !" She is the one that bl**y used them! . She then sat whilst dh (and I admit me) ferried the takeout from the kitchen to the dining room, and did all the drinks etc! And she did the same at breakfast!

The classic question I had from her when I told her I had packed my bags and had neighbours/my mum on standby was 'I thought that you were having a c/s on 5th Feb - the baby surely won't come before then will it as they have booked you in!! WTF!!' I really wonder if she gave birth to dh at all!

Sorry rant over - it feel so much better to get that out of my system!

Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Dawni · 11/01/2009 17:19

Oh bellie sorry hun, your MIL makes me laugh, how on earth do you keep quiet !!! 10 out of 10 though xx

HC Im pleased they didnt actually witness the woman jump, that would have been awful, something you'd never forget, poor woman must have been very distraught to do that

Aches not too bad at the mo, no more pink cm either but im not so positive anymore , just put the bins out and nearlt got swept away in the current running down our road !!! I'll struggle to get to work in the morning if this keeps up as i've to cross a bridge which always floods

Going to make tea

D xx

Ceebee74 · 11/01/2009 20:31

Evening everyone

HC how awful for Soph but I am sure she won't remember seeing anything or certainly won't realise what happened. Fingers crossed for you this month - how is the temper??

Bellie I can't believe what you have done today considering how heavily pg you are - your MIL sounds like mine tbh - we had her over for all of Xmas Day and Boxing Day and I don't think she set foot in the kitchen once - let alone offered to help with anything!

Dawni really hope that AF is not showing it's face for you. So is it true that teenagers are harder work than the 'terrible twos'??

MJIM you sound exactly like me lol! I am so happy with 2 children that, even though I thought I would always want a girl, I really don't iyswim. I am quite looking forward to getting our lives back as our 2 boys become more and more independent. I really admire those of you with 3 children (or planning on 3) as I know I wouldn't be able to cope with 3 as the transition from 1 to 2 has been hard enough.

Hi to everyone else

Not sure if I have linked to these before but there are some new photos on my profile (apologies if you have already seen them - have definitely lost some brain cells recently )

Dawni · 11/01/2009 21:03

Hi ladies, just a quicky before big brother starts, ive put some pics of me and my family on my profile, we were in Fuerteventura in august and it was windy but megga hot, the pics are'nt as good as they've been scaled down, hope I dont scare you too much !!!!

CBB Love your pics, very beautiflu xx

Love to all

onlyanauntie · 11/01/2009 21:13

Evening all...

Have been following this thread lots lately, like the bonkersness of it!

Bellie - your MIL sounds almost as crazy as mine, rings us up at all hours of day and night and always says I'm not feeding DP properly and he looks thin...you're certainly a brave 'un for having her over so close to birth.

I have a dilemma folks....AF was due yesterday morning- always regular as clockwork, 28 day cycle etc (how boring)...but there was no sign, and I dared hope, as you do. She turns up today though at 6pm, but only very watery and pink iykwim, and extremely light. Have felt sick as a dog all weekend too, sort of queasy like travel sickness, haven't been able to eat much. Had cramps all week at work but none today or yesterday. No sore boobs, nothing like that (although I'm the 'fried eggs on an ironing board' type so nowt much there to get sore anyway!) Any thoughts??? Reckon I could still be in with a chance?? Or is one deluding oneself, as usual.......

HumphreysCorner · 11/01/2009 21:14

Bellie-good riddance to your MIL!

Dawni-am loving putting a faces to the names. You and DH are a handsome couple-very glam. Is that your son and does he bodybuild too?

Ceebee-your boys are gorgeous. Do you think Sam will lose his dark hair?

Have eaten far too much so won't be losing weight tomorrow at WW. My fault I suppose for stuffing my face. My temper was horrendous today. Part of being on the 2WW methinks, more frustration than anything else.

Love to all.

onlyanauntie-I would wait if you can and see what happens over the next few days. Sadly all my AF's start like that then 3 days later tis in full flow. Hope this isn't what is happening to you though.

Ceebee74 · 11/01/2009 21:22

HC I have no idea about Sam's hair - Josh was born with a full head of dark hair then it all fell out and you know how blond it is now!! Me and DH also have very dark hair so Josh is the odd one out at the mo

Dawni great photos - you look lovely! Now I know why your posts always refer to your DH and DS being at the gym

Onlyanauntie I can't help but it may be an implantation bleed? I had one of these and it was pinky/watery - but I don't want to get your hopes up - fingers crossed for you

Dawni · 11/01/2009 22:10

Thankyou for the lovely comments ladies, DS & DH go to the gym 6 days a week, me....I go once but try to go twice !!!

OAA fingers crossed for you hun, in my experience i get shows for a day or two then BAM the bloomimg bitch arrives, hope this doesnt happen to you xx

Im off to bed, eaten far too many pringles and fig rolls washed down with a hot chocolate, boy do i feel sick !!!!

Goodnight and lots of love to you all

D xx

HumphreysCorner · 12/01/2009 09:20

Morning ladies

onlyanauntie-has AF started properly yet. Hope not!

Hope all OK on this soggy wet and windy day. DD1 so clingy when I drop her at school since the Christmas Hols. Never done this in the year and a bit she has been there. She did get shouted at a bit yesterday as she was being so difficult then cried that we treated DD2 differently to her which of course we don't. Will have to monitor that one.

Must iron

DPO 4 and crampy, nauseous with heartburn.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/01/2009 10:03

Loving DH for dropping me at work so I didn't get soaked. Big boo for the weather.

Had lots of lovely chats with DH over weekend and he's really taking an interest. However hoping to get midwife appointment while he's away as he might be quite shocked that I've already drafted a birth plan!! Some things are best for him not to know!

So keen to tell PIL yesterday but managed to keep it quiet. Seems nice that it's just us and MN that know . Still feeling fine so hoping this continues.

Bellie · 12/01/2009 12:14

Afternoon all.

Have had a morning of trying to catch up with washing so I am on top of it at all times at the moment! Am convinced the baby will be early so trying to be organised.

Hope everyone else is OK.

Well done Purplecrazyhorse for not telling PIL - it is nice to have the news to yourself (and with us!!) for a while!

Onlyanauntie - any news today - hoping that there is not and af has stayed away!

HC - is the heartburn a good symptom for you??

Dawni - how are you?

Must go and make some lunch - beanie is kicking away so I think he/she is telling me to eat something!!

MrsPuddleduck · 12/01/2009 12:22

Afternoon!

HC - how's the nausea???? Surely heartburn can't be a symptom? I have my fingers crossed for you!

Dawni - I can see why your son would want to watch a programme on the strongest man. DH watches the world's strongest man every Christmas. HSG is an x-ray where they insert dye in your tubes to see whether or not they are blocked. I need Bellie to give me the full lowdown before she gives birth! Also I had an implantation bleed with DS2 which I actually thought was AF and did warrant a tampon for two days.

Bellie - your MIL sounds like a nightmare- but you seem to take it all with good humour! I need to know how bad the HSG is going to be and how strong do the painkillers need to be. I presumed it wasn't nice as the letter said you need to be accompanied.

MJIM - I think you should have words with Naomi and tell her to stop growing! Holiday to Butlins sounds fab! Presumably you know the layout etc so it wont be stressful!

I am feeling smug today, I bartered with the Vauxhall garage and managed to get them to knock 10% of the cost of replacing two tyres. Not like me to be that brave!

onlyanauntie · 12/01/2009 12:55

Hi all

Well I did really think I might have got lucky after I only spotted and it was brown, not red, which it never has been before, but seems like normal AF this morning...ar well, there's always next time, positive attitude and all that.

Just a bit rubbish isn't it....want to just hide today but teach all day and have to be all happy-smiley in front of them and am so not in the mood!

DawnAS · 12/01/2009 14:10

Hello all,

Just jumping on quickly with some news. Firstly HC, Dawni and Onlyauntie, still keep everything crossed for you ladies.

So, first bit of news is that having not received the confirmation letter about the amnio yet from the hospital, I called them to ask what was happening. They confirmed that they'd received the final results and had posted them on Friday and everything is fine and clear.

Second bit of good news is that they confirmed to us, when we asked, THAT WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!

We are both SOOOOOOO thrilled!!! I was so convinced that it was a boy that we actually bought something blue on Saturday!! DH is taking it back to the shop now to change it for something pink!!!

xxxx

Bellie · 12/01/2009 14:15

Willmouse - I found the pain to be worse than childbirth ((wimp)), but the doctor giving the hsg said that I was unusual and she didn't usually get anyone crying and screaming like I did!! So I hope that you don't find it as bad as I did.

Definately take someone with you - I didn't and wish that I had as I am sure that would have been more reassuring that driving home alone afterwards. I would not have been allowed anyone in the x-ray room though apparently - I hope you are so you can squeeze someones hand!

Take as many painkillers as you can - nuerofen etc before hand as well as after so you can be as numb as possible. I was also given a pessary antibiotic to ensure no infection.

Usually MIL drives me barmy and I end up rowing with dh, but this time I found the whole thing hilarious - must be the hormones or something!
