Oh Dawn - that is fantastic news!!!

MrsPuddleduck · 12/01/2009 14:58

Thanks for the honesty Bellie - I will brace myself for the worse. Co-codamol I think! I don't think people are allowed to accompany you into x-rays unless absolutely necessary because of exposure to radiation. When DS2 was a baby and had to have 2 x-rays I had to go in with him to make sure he didn't roll off the table but had to go in on my own with basically a lead gown on LOL. Presumably its not the actual x-ray bit that hurts. Are you OK with smear tests? I was hoping it wouldn't be much more intrusive than that and what was it that caused the pain? Apologies to everyone else on the thread who isn't interested!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/01/2009 15:28

Brill news DawnAS so excited for you. LOL on the blue purchase

Couldn't resist a random internet gender predictor Says I'm having a boy - guess it's got a 50% chance of being correct!! Good job the office is green and white. Refuse to decorate as only just finished painting it!

HumphreysCorner · 12/01/2009 15:44

DawnAS-wow, that is fab news and a little girl.

Yup, always suffered terrible heartburn when PG so always a good symptom to obsess over.

Laters as off to do my WW helper job.

Bellie · 12/01/2009 17:34

Willmouse - smear tests not too bad at - it was when the dye was pushed through that the pain really hit - I am guessing that it hurt as it moved some type of obstruction as I got pregnant a couple of months later

Dawni · 12/01/2009 17:41

Hello ladies,

Feeling a bit blue bellie, brown yuck in the knicker area today, not a good sign, still only CD24 but she's coming !

willmouse HSG sound like when i had a laparoscopy, they blew up my organs via a hole under my bellie button and put blue dye in my tubes followed by another tube in my groin !! Luckily I was knocked out for this and was only in hospital a day, i was off work two weeks though, it hurt so much

HC Are you having good symptoms ?????

DawnAS Bloody fantastic news hun, im over the moon for you xx

onlyanauntie Sorry to hear the bitch arrived, we can feel blue together {sending love}

Lads off to the gym so Im off to get my jammies on before i make tea

Love to all

D xx

Dawni · 12/01/2009 18:14

Meant to say CBB teenagers are'nt that bad, much easier than toddlers as they just stomp off to their room and you dont see them again !!! Mine is a good one to be honest, never moves far, always been a home bird, all his sweaty mates just come here instead, they say we're cool parents coz we like the same music and tv etc ive told him he never has to leave home, he'll always be my baby

D xx

ChocolateEclair · 12/01/2009 18:26

Hi ladies

OA really sorry that the witch has arrived. Roll on next month hey!

Dawni - sorry you think it's all over for this month . Love the pics - you look really happy! Your hubby is very muscular! . Does your ds know you are ttc?

willmouse - good luck with the HSG. It doesn't sound like much fun tbh, but remember things are different for everyone so try not to get too worked up. I wondered if I could be cheeky and ask you to remind me what your ds's are called? I was trying to remember the other day!

Dawn - a girl! wow! What did the chinese gender thing say for you? Have you thought about names yet?????

I actually wanted to ask Mandy something about names. Since she said about the name Felix I can't stop thinking about it! I think it's such a fab name! DP loves it as well! I suppose our dc are never likely to meet but.... - well be honest! Would it be weird???

We are also loving Max, Harry and Charlie for a boy (middle name is still Anthony); and Madeleine, Lucy and Grace for a girl. As you can see things have changed a bit since we first started ttc! Opinions???

Bellie - you are officially a saint! Your MIL sounds like the ones on all those AIBU threads on here! Mine is ok really, we harly see her. I don't like her smoking and think this will cause lots of tension once baby arrives but I don't suppose there's much I can do! You are right to rise above it and just laugh! Any signs of labour yet?????

I will share something funny with you all! I thought I was in labour last night! It turns out it was those Braxton Hicks things! I also got a shooting pain down my r leg as if baby was pressing on a berve or something! It's funny now but hurt at the time! Doesn't bode well for my pain threshold in labour! lol!

waves to all!!!

Hi CE DS knows we are TTC, he laughs at us as he is in the room next door & he knows when its time as im always rattling on about OPKs, plus we are very open and talk about it in front of him, we are a very close family and have great discusions, sometimes TMI for me, but he is open more with DH of course, then DH tells me
He only asks that when we have a baby, he must not be asked to change nappies and under no curcumstance should it be allowed in his room !!!

Not much to ask bless him

Evening all

Dawn - a girl - how fab!! I've always been rubbish at guessing . Girls are great!!

CE - bless you with the Braxon Hicks Love the names - Lucy & Max are my faves...in fact Max is on my list for a boy, along with Archie at the moment. No girls names yet (get me all ahead of myself at 6+3!!)

OAA - sorry AF got you..fingers crossed for next month.

HC/BB & eveyone else on the 2ww..am keeping everything crossed for you.

Have 1st m/w appointment on Wed to get booked in - am going to ask about getting an early scan but if not we'll still go ahead with the private one (14 days and counting). Told another friend at work today but that's it now....want to surprise my family with a lovely reassuring scan picture very soon

DawnAS · 12/01/2009 19:43

Hello all,

CE, we have thought about names, yes. Although I was so convinced it was a boy that we had loads of options and we really only have one option so far for a girl. Marissa Ellen Rose (Missy for short). As for your choices of names, I'm sure Mandy wouldn't mind. Actually I met someone on here whose own name is Elisa and I LOVE it. It's pronounced E-Lisa as opposed to E-Liza. Just sounds beautiful but I don't know that DH is so keen. Your names are lovely, my niece is called Lucia Grace and when my sister first told us, we were quite surprised, but now I LOVE the names!! Your boys names are lovely aswell!! Our No. 1 choice for a boy was Ashton but I also like Cory and Harvey. I'm going to start looking at more girls names now though!!

Belgian, good luck on the 2ww hun. Strangely, I weed (never sure if that should have three e's - ha ha), really early during implantation and then stopped when I actually got my BFP, so you never know hun... My other symptom was sore boobs which I NEVER got before or during AF, so I'm keeping everything crossed for you hun!!

Dawni, how lovely to be so open with your DS. Fantastic pictures by the way!! DH and I look like couch potatoes in comparison!!

Purplecrazyhorse, I did the Chinese one that I think Detox recommended and that one said I was having a boy, then I did another one that said I was having a girl. So I guess one of them was going to be right!!

Willmouse, Sorry hun, I can't find when you said you were having the procedure, but I know it's soon. I hope it goes Ok hun. The things we put ourselves through hey? But it's always worth it in the end. Like Bellie, my sister found it uncomfortable but when she had it done again for the second child, she did what Bellie suggested with the painkillers and found it much much better.

Hello to everyone else!!

Dawn - that's a very pretty name (loving Missy for short!). I bet you go wildnow buying stuff in pink!

MJIM - at your ds! Kids hey! Hope you found time for your shower - busy busy!

detox - hope weds goes well. There is a pretty good chance of getting the early scan I think. You do have good reason for wanting one after all. You're right - it would be lovely to tell people with a scan pic!

BB - symptoms looking good, it's never too early to start! I never got the sore boobs but did get the peeing! lol! I promise not to touch Bellie's cervix opening vibes just yet!

Dawni - I also think it's great you are so open with your ds. It's really refreshing. Lol at his 'conditions' for allowing another sibling though!

purple - you def don't want morning sickness! God, how much did I moan about it on here - check old thread for verification! pmsl! Seems like ages ago now though so you obviously do forget how bad it is! If you do get it, I found that tik tacs helped a bit, and dry biscuits like rich tea. Oh and sleep...lots of it!

HC - do you have heartburn then???? I have it in my mind that this is your month you know!

OP posts:
majormoo · 12/01/2009 22:22

just very quickly wanted to congratulate DawnAS on the clear results and of course on her DD!!

CE/Dawn the names you like are great. CE I quite like Lucy for a girl out of the three, but they are all good. Like Max best for a boy I think.

HC how horrible for your parents and DD to be around such a sad event.

Bellie-hope you get some rest.

Must go as I think my boobs are needed!
Hope everyone is well. All fine here.

Dawni · 13/01/2009 06:38

Good morning ladies,

Sorry to start the day on a downer, the witch was there when i woke this morning, CD25, back to her old tricks, but i must admit, im not overly upset as i'd already accepted she was coming and had a few bad days earlier, she broght me an awfuly bad back which is not good in my line of work, so once finished, i will check you lot out then get on the sofa in my jammies with a hot water bottle.

Lost the bloody dog this morning !!! He had managed to sleep with DS !!!!! He soon wanted in the kitchen though when he heard the weetabix packet Thats what he likes for breakfast ....the dog, not DS !

Anyways, now i've bored the hell out of you all, im going to work.

Love to all

D xx

PurpleCrazyHorse · 13/01/2009 09:18

Morning all.

LOL about dog + weetabix Dawni, and big boo for AF. Hoping you atleast manage to get rid of the backache.

Thanks for the sickness advice. I don't want to have morning sickness but just need a little sign the BFP's not all in my head . However did have a little cramping last night - AF style but presuming uterus expanding, so feel better. Chased up the GP for my booking appointment and turns out MW didn't pick up forms until Fri last week. Hoping for a call soon.

MrsPuddleduck · 13/01/2009 09:46

Morning all

Dawni - sorry AF got you . Hope you have a good day at work. AF is currently visiting here so I am on my cocktail of 9 tablets a day (16 including painkillers). I will be so glad to get pg and then have a coil fitted which aparently will cure me.

Bellie - thanks for all the advice - it is better going into these things with your eyes open. I will take heavy duty painkillers before I leave. How long did it take you to recover? I am having it done at 2.00 next Wed and then have childminding all day thursday (4 yr old so not to bad) and then off to Center Parcs on Friday. God knows when I will be able to pack.

CE love the names you have picked - and agree Felix is great. My boys names are DS1 - William Edward and DS2 Oliver Harry. If I have a third DS I really want Henry John. I'm not so good at girls names DS1 was going to be either Georgina or Francesca and Ds2 was going to be Isobel but I don't really like any of them. My all time fave girls name is Alice but it doesn't go with our surname.

HC - any symptoms to report today? I can't wait to start obsessing again!

Purplecrazyhorse. HOpe you don't get morning sickness - you probably have a couple of weeks' grace yet! I virtually lived on Cremosa sweets as they made me feel better. Now I could hurl at the sight (never mind smell) of one!

Hi to everyone else!

HumphreysCorner · 13/01/2009 09:59

Oh Dawni-grrhhh at the witch arriving. Hate, hate hate the 2nd week of the 2WW as you know as soon as the gungy stuff starts and temp drops she is imminent. Hope your day gets better.

PurpleCrazyHorse-cramping is very normal in early pregnancy.

onlyauntie-sorry AF got you too. This will be me in a weeks time. I will be going demented when my temps are not what I want them to be.

ChocEclair-I don't think it will be my month even though I hope it will be. Like all the girls names BTW-not so keen on the boys only because I know a Charlie and Harry and Max reminds me of him on Eastenders. Although, out of the 3 I prefer Max.

Found our tap down the garden open and flooding the grass this morning. How can a tap switch itself on? Then checked the outdoor electric sockets and the lid was open and they are a nightmare to open so how can it open itself? DH put the idea in my head that the neighbours (the nightmare dog owners) have been using our water and electic. Our bill has gone up but so has everyone elses. Am being silly aren't I? Had a horrible dream about them last night too-twas very mixed up.

Better move it so back later.

HC

Dawni · 13/01/2009 10:27

HC Sounds a bit sus the tap running and the electric covers open very strange.

willmouse Hope things are'nt too bad next wednesday, hope it helps x

Gotta go again

Morning everyone

DawnAS fantastic news about your test results - am so pleased for you. And now you can go and spend spend spend on little pink things Also love the name you have chosen - I think Missy is really cute!

Dawni sorry the witch got you this month...fingers crossed for next month! Whereabouts in Cumbria are you?? I have to go to Carlisle once or twice a month with work (although obviously not at the moment ) - the travel is one of the bits of my job that I don't like!

CE love all the names. I did want to call Sam Charlie but it is one of the nicknames for my name so decided it would be too complicated. As for girls names - not keen on Madeleine tbh but do love Lucy and Grace.

Willmouse good luck for tomorrow - I really hope it doesn't hurt too much.

Hi to everyone else!

All is good here - Josh is at nursery and Sam is asleep upstairs Had him weighed last week and he was 11lb 5oz at 7 weeks - he has outgrown his 0-3 months vests and is only a couple of weeks from needing 3-6 month babygros aswell - so different from Josh who certainly gets his wear out of his clothes!!

Bellie · 13/01/2009 12:19

Hello all,

sorry the witch got you Dawni, next month will be the one!!

Loving all the talk about baby names - we are down to one for a boy and one for a girl now - after changing our minds a number of times - I woke up on Christmas Eve and decided that I didn't like them!! Anyway it will be Orin James for a boy and Georgina May for a girl - you can tell me if you hate them though - I still have time to change my mind again!!

Seem to be running out of time today, need to get some lunch soon as soooooo hungry!!

Bellie · 13/01/2009 12:20

Oops meant to say - good luck for tomorrow Willmouse (in case I don't get back on), you will be fine to childmind the next day - I was fine a couple of hours later!

MrsPuddleduck · 13/01/2009 12:36

Sorry if I am misleading everyone - test is next week - I am getting anxious a week in advance

Bellie - DS1 was going to be Georgina Mae!
