You are all so right that the temping is making me more stressed. Think last cycle was messed up with me being so stressed over next doors dogs to the point of hysteria and considering AD's again. Hoping Christmas planning will take my mind off things and after this cycle may not temp and chart for a couple of months. Just wanted to see that lovely green line on the FF chart.

Baking cakes today as we are having a firework party tomorrow night. Will check back later for news of HM2J's little boy.

Big Wave!

Ooooh, another new thread - can you imagine if we ever got together in rl....wouldn't get a word in edgeways

No, the cold man flu is very serious here...dh been in bed since 8pm last night and hasn't surfaced yet [rolls eyes] And I'm the kind who doesn't really do sympathy - unless it's dd - I haven't got a lot of patience for poorly men

ceebee74 · 07/11/2008 11:58

Just checking in so I can find you again!

Still no news from HM2J........nothing on the AN thread either so maybe something is happening??

x

Heartmum2Jamie · 07/11/2008 12:58

Ohhhh, I found you all!

Now, can I just sob onto someones shoulder for a minute or 10?? No baby....totally fed up..... phone won't stop ringing and I am fed up of being told that everything is a "good sign", like the fact that I slept like the proverbial baby last night! On the other hand, the cream from the dr's is working wonders, baby's head is lower and I am due at the hospital's midwide drop in clinic this afternoon for possibly another sweep.

Sorry for worrying you all like that, it is hard to keep the spirits up and I don't like whining too much as I know alot of you would trade places with me in a heartbeat. I absolutely promise that either myself of dh will update as soon as I know something is happening for real, lol!

Yay, I found you guys!!

HM2J - I'm not sure I would want to trade places that much with you . I am terrified of CB TBH, but I know it's the means to an end! I'm not going to say it all sounds good...cos that's not helpful! I am just sorry it's all taking so long and you keep getting labour symptoms and then nothing! I hope it happens soon for you!!! I'm looking forward to more newborn pictures!!

HC - I hope you're okay! Sounds like you have been having a very stressful time! I'll join you for a couple of non-temping cycles!

waves to all! In office-hell today.

majormoo · 07/11/2008 13:51

HM2J I really sympathise as the waiting for something to happen drives me mad with the dreaded 'INDUCTION' hanging over you. How many days over are you now if you do not mind me asking?

BB sorry to hear about your sis but it is good that they caught it early.

Congrats Knax

MJIM sounds like they have a plan in place for your DS which should hopefully sort it out. I know it is a huge cliche but I do think lots of boys need more physical play and rough and tumble is all part of that.

Soosy your son sounds like he is doing brilliantly.

HC sorry to hear it wasn't your month-laying off the charting for a bit sounds like a good idea.

All fine here-due a month today! Had a fab time at Hot Chip even though we had seating.

MrsPuddleduck · 07/11/2008 14:56

Hello.

I am feeling very smug today as DS1 has won the Golden Book Award this week (basically a certificate from the headmaster for doing well at school). We got to go to morining assembly and watch it being presented. I nearly blubbed!

BTW - on another unrelated subject - is it just a Stafford phenomenon or does it always rain at school collection time?

MrsPuddleduck · 07/11/2008 14:57

BTW - love the new thread title!

Heartmum2Jamie · 07/11/2008 15:14

Majormoo, I am 9 days over and induction has been booked for next Wednesday.....

BUT...

Ack!!! I think I am having a baby!!!

I just got back from the midwife drop in clinic at the hospital where I was given a vigorous sweep.

Got home, really needed to wee, felt a pop and wee seemed to be gush out, so think my waters have gone.

Just a shame it isn't Sandra (the midwife I just saw) on call, she is fab and I really like her. Suppose I need to wait for contractions now.

detoxdiva · 07/11/2008 16:39

HM2J - how exciting!!! Will be thinking of you loads tonight....good luck, hope this is it

Good luck HM2J

I am maybe 9dpo now and thanking God I have no tests in or I'd have given in already .

HumphreysCorner · 07/11/2008 19:46

No testing Chubby until at least DPO 10. Seriously, until now I have been a serial tester starting on DPO 10 but have been disappointed so many times I am now reformed and will not be testing until I am 9 months late! Do you have a FF chart we can nosey look at?

HC, my chart is bare I'm afraid. This month was nekkid month - next month I'm back to checking cm/cp/opks/temping!

In the past I've been a shocking early tester. In fact, so early I cannot possibly divulge just HOW early or you'll kick me out of this group for being too crazy!

I've had BFP's at 10dpo three times now so I might test tomorrow. Even though I might only be a few days dpo. It's an addiction I tell you!

Knax · 08/11/2008 08:00

hi everyone,
nice shiny new thread! thanks for all the congrats! managed to wave alcoholic drinks around without drinking them at party on thurs and no-one seemed suspicious (they were too busy drinking theirs!
knax xxx

HumphreysCorner · 08/11/2008 08:43

Chubby-any news????? I saw on FF that lots of peeps get a BFP at DPO 10 that is why I always think that is a safe time to start. With DD1 I hadn't discovered MN so didn't know you could test early so waited until well over a week late. After a MC I found MN then learnt about POAS so got a BFP on CD 25 (3 days before AF due) However, as I wasn't temping I have no idea what DPO it was. Good Luck!

Well done Knax. When newly PG with DD1 I tried your method but MIL and FIL were having none of it because I normally down glasses fairly quickly so had to confess.

Heartmum-have you had him yet?

Big Wave.

Hooray, new fresh thread. Thank you CE.
And well done you for the excellent scan - the pics are beautiful! Ours are so blurry in compassion - s/he isn't still very much. Like you we loved seeing the feet & toes.

HM2J thinking of you and wishing you a productive and good labour. Lots of love. xx

HC thanks for asking. How are you? I agree with what someone else said; You may want to start thinking of seeing a specialist? How would you feel about that?
Consultant meeting was pretty serious. He wants me to see MW every other week as my biochemistry is one of the weirdest he's ever seen. 50% risk for pre-eclampsia he thinks. Also had a big stressful argument about our wish for an elective CS (DH so upset he had to leave the room) but in the end consultant said he didn't want to stress us out further in this PG and will agree to one. I appreciate his concern but not the way he tried to scare us. We understand the risks.

BSL your earlier post struck a cord and I've been thinking of you loads. I can really identify with how you are feeling.

"I even hated the pregnant impala I saw when I was in the Kruger Park."
Yup, know that feeling too, in a blackly humorous kind of way.

"I've put off having children for so long, because I thought I wasn't ready and I was busy being successful and having a career. It's hit me really hard that I don't care about any of it. It's all meaningless. Women are born to procreate and I feel like a complete failure right now, because I can't make a baby. And what if I can't ever have children?"
But you will, in one way or another!
This is the time for you to be clever and exercise some self control against the negative feelings. Ie 'fake it 'til you make it'. Because the way you are feeling and thinking now is very damaging when TTC. As you say you have only been trying for 4,5 months - I won't trivialise that - I KNOW how disappointing it is every month. But we had that feeling 11 times, remember, and as far as we know there was nothing wrong with us. If 100 healthy couples TTC 80 of them will have conceived within 12 months. For some people it just doesn't happen straight away.
After about 6 months I felt I had to make a choice: To suppress negative thoughts, try to be happy for pregnant friends, and to be much more positive about my career and life choices. And to focus on finding joy in our relationship and sex life again primarily - baby making secondary. Or at least pretend. It worked, it put things in perspective.
And please, never ever have regrets about focusing on your career for a period of your life. Having achieved all that will make you a great parent and role model. Big hugs. xx

Lots of love to everyone, hope you have a lovely w/e.

Hi everyone! I am a pround new mummy of a gorgous 3rd boy, Zack William. He was born last night at 7.11pm. I almost got my dream delivery, but ended with an emergency transfer to hospital as Zack had opened his bowels in utero due to a tight cord around the neck, causing distress. I was tranfered at fully dilated and had pushed enough for the head to be visible, lol. Zack was born less than 15 minutes after arriving at hospital. He weighed 8lb 11oz, was 55cm long, had apgars of 9 & 10, not bad for a distressed baby! We were kept in until the paed could check him over this afternoon. I am very tired, but all is well and we are glad to be home. Have 2 pics of him at the top of my profile, were in such a hurry we forgot the camera, so had to settle for camera phone pics.

Much love to all, will catch up properly tomoorow.

HumphreysCorner · 08/11/2008 21:50

Aw, fantastico Heartmum. Enjoy him, he is gorgeous.
