Oh Dawn - I'm really feeling for you and can offer no words of comfort as I have no persoanl experience of what you are going though.

I am sure that given your nuchal test, all will be well. However, the only way to be sure is to have the test on Monday. I know it will be pointless (and seems crass) for me to say try not to dwell on things until then, but please don't make yourself ill with worry.

We are all here for you until then (and of course once you have the result) - lots of love coming yours and dh's way xx

Knax · 28/11/2008 17:32

As others have said, there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason for high bloods, but loads of people (Mandy is the expert) have statistically high bloods, but then that doesn't mean the baby is Downs. There's nothing that will put your mind at rest until Monday really.
I know what you mean about being detached from baby after MC - I think I'm still doing that until next fri, or maybe I'm kidding myself I am. Although of course you said you were feeling like that, then you let yourself get attached after the scan, then they phoned you the next day - so difficult for you, as you'd thought you could relax, then to hear the next day!
Roll on Monday - thoughts and prayers for you,
Knax xx

Knax · 28/11/2008 17:39

That post was obviously for you Dawn, didn't put your name on it...

HumphreysCorner · 28/11/2008 17:40

Still no AF at the HC house yet BFN.

Very cold isn't it? Or is it just me?

Knax · 28/11/2008 18:11

Ooh HC, is AF just taling the p* or is she really not coming I wonder?

Knax · 28/11/2008 18:11

taking not taling!

majormoo · 28/11/2008 18:40

Dawn I had the CVS through the abdomen and was 12 weeks, which I think is the usual way it is done. I had very high nuchal fold and no nasal bone. As others have said who knows why the bloods come back so high risk. Good luck for Monday.

HC how frustrating that test still showed BFN

Hi everyone,

Dawn - I know it's easier said than done, but try to relax....getting very upset and stressed isn't good for you or your LO!! I know there's nothing I can say to make this easier for you, but I think that the fact the nucal fold measurment was small and also there was a nasal bone...I am going think the best - that this is a blip and just weird results!

HC - Grrrr! What is going on and why are the tests all negative!! I was expecting a BFP from you today! I am sorry and understand the frustration!

Detox - I just think you are being so strong! And I'm so impressed by your attitude to what happened...it's a hard thing to deal with.

Knax - I am really praying next Friday goes well for you! How are you doing? After what you've been through, it seems very unfair!

Myjob - Poor little Naomi...jabs are never nice, but they are good for you. I am sure my niece was like Naomi and didn't put on weight very quickly...my sis had a awful time worrying and saw lots of people about it. My niece is fine now...she's lickle, but then my sis is too, so she just takes after her mum.

Majormoo - OOOoh we needs some more baby girls to even things up a bit!! I am going to guess girl...

Ceebee - poor little Sam! Altho, I have to agree with Dawn the conservatory imagine put a smile on my face!! How is he??

Big waves to everyone!

As for me well, I called to find out my blood test results on Tuesday and was told all was normal. I asked what the progesterone test results were and low and behold - not in!! That was the whole point of the test...anyhow, called again today and they are in, but have not yet been reviewed by the doctor, so I have to call back on Monday to find out if all is okay! AF is starting to calm down and ease now. I am thinking of taking Agnes Castus to bring OV on a bit quicker this cycle.

HumphreysCorner · 28/11/2008 21:16

bluestar-how annoying over vital and important results. If I get round to testing I want results like yesterday!

MJIM-don't worry about Naomi's weight as she will be fine. DD2 was always off the bottom of the scale and I thought she would always be a little dot. She has evened out now and finally weighs 2 stone at 2 1/2. Still in mostly 12-18 month clothing though.

Dawn-how goes it? {{hugs}}

detox-AF got you yet? You'll soon be back on the wagon again.

Feel so frustrated here and wish AF would get a move on. Spotted an evap line on the PG test but after 2 hours it had gone so threw it on the fire. Got all excited even though it appeared after 20 mins and I had to hold the test up to the light and squint at it-lol!

Hi all,

Finally home from hospital, hopefully DH updated you on the arrival of Patrick, by emergency cs on Tuesday. All was going to plan - got to 10cm dilated and got to the pushing the baby out stage, but that's when he decided to get stuck! They tried forceps, didn't work, so cs it was, which was a much much less scary experience than I had imagined it would be, and the most important thing is that he got out safe and sound!! He is just gorgeous - I will attempt to put a photo on my profile. Haven't yet caught up on the news from you all over the last few days, hope everyone is doing well and will read all your posts some time soon and catch up properly.

HumphreysCorner · 28/11/2008 22:25

juanitad-yes, we got the wonderful news. Congratulations again. I have one of those after feed pics with the dazed and happy look. Priceless!

juanitad · 28/11/2008 22:54

What a good little son, he has been asleep since we got home from hosiptal, giving me the chance to have a proper read of all the posts. I just wanted to wish Dawn lots of luck for Monday, I know everyone has already given you lots of great advice and help, there isn't really anything else I can add, but I just wanted you to know that you're in my thoughts.

Ceebee, hope Sam's jaundice is better soon. At the hospital they thought Patrick might have jaundice, but the results of his test came back ok, although they did say I should keep an eye on him...unfortunately we don't have a conservatory though so not sure what I will do if he develops it!

HC - really really hope HC stays away, I know you must be getting frustrated now, so I hope this is your month, and the same for all the other TTCers.

To everyone else, thanks for your congratulations and kind wishes. I am so relieved to be home, it is so quiet here....the hopsital was very noisy, as you'd expect on a maternity ward I suppose!

Right, looks like he might be waking up and asking for another feed. I haven't quite got the hang of breastfeeding yet, I needed a lot of help from the midwives in getting him latched on in hospital and no I'm home I'm going to have to cope on my own! Fingers crossed.......

juanitad · 28/11/2008 22:55

Sorry HC, meant to say hope AF stays away!! Still a bit overtired I think!

HumphreysCorner · 28/11/2008 23:15

Lol Will flounce stay away when AF arrives. The MW and HV will help with the breastfeeding.

Night ladies.

AF has arrived.

Feel that I can now get back on with ttc, but also because I shouldn't be having one, but am looking at it as the opportunity to get pg and have a September baby

So......

Brilliant that detox in a hopeful way. Send mine round will you. Temp drop again today so maybe it will be today so I can get back on this planet and think about something else other than being/not being PG.

HC Where have you taken me and will I find my way back ??? I got all my decs and new lights, spent a massive 17 quid as everything was 60% off !!

Hello all you new names, I cant understand all ya little short words so I'll have to try and read between the lines.....I'm currently trying hard for that little bundle of joy and have been for nearly 13 years !! I do have a much taller bundle of joy, he came to us nearly 16 years ago

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/11/2008 17:29

Oh goodness, I really need to try and keep on top of the very few threads I actually look at, I'm sorry for being MIA!

Juanitad!!! Congratulatons hon, I love your ds's name and have to say, he is adorable and looks just like Zack after he's had a feed, lol! Must be the universal "drunk" look for babies.

Dawn, I am sorry to hear of your results and wish you luck on Monday and sending lots of love & hugs.

HC & DD, I'm sorry to hear AF has arrived for you both. Sending all the babydust I can find!

MJIM: Poor Naomi! Jabs are horrid. Thankfully my HV actually asked me what my intentions were with regards to the jabs and she agreed that I could delay starting them by a month. As for Naomi's weight, some babies are just dinky and obviously that is just the way she is supposed to be. If the health professionals are not expressing concern, try not to worry (easier said than done I know.... I am worried that Zack is gaining far too much weight. He was 8lb 11oz born and according to my scales, he already weighs in excess of 12lb . I kind of wanted him to stay little for a while.)

Mandy & Knax: Glad to hear your scans went well!

Waves to everyone else!

HumphreysCorner · 29/11/2008 18:31

Hello Dawni-you found us then. I got the trees up this afternoon so very festive here.

DH's cousin's son (you keeping up?) had a litte boy this afternoon and it set me off. So pleased for him but absolutely dreading the visit.

Love to all!

MJIM - wow that was some post!! I am very impressed! Enjoy your night out tomorrow - it will be fine!!

Haven't got the time to post properly but Sam appears to have got over his jaundice - he is definitely less yellow, is eating better and sleeping a little less (although he still seems to sleep A LOT!) MW is coming again on Tuesday to check him over and weigh him.
