Congratulations Mandy and Dawn!!

I've got good news too, and am so emotional about all your good wishes too - thank you so much!! Initially she did a tummy scan and couldn't find a heartbeat, so we thought the worst. Then she did an internal scan and after what seemed like years she turned the monitor round and said "it was worth doing the internal scan, look" and there was a little heartbeat going like the clappers!
I wish she'd left it at that, but after having a good look round she said the sac may be an irregular shape, and she could see evidence of some bleeding in the uterus, so she wants me to come in for another scan in 10 days time just to make sure all is well. She said it was possible that the irregular looking shape may be due to the way she scanned it, so I'm hoping for that!

Dawn you must be so delighted !
Mandy, how lovely that you can finally relax after such a stressful pregnancy. You have been amazing throughout - so pleased for you!

Beginning to feel i am doing an Oscar acceptance speech as a bit tired and emotional, so better go to bed!

Waves to all,
Knax xxxx

Can I gatecrash here??

You ladies seem so knowledgeable. You may be able to help me.

My periods tend to be about every 4 weeks and a couple of days maybe. But they tend to go on for 10 days or so. Start with lots of light dark brown stuff for about 5 days, then really heavy red blood for 4 days, then even up to another 3 days of light dark brown.

DH and I had a drunken ahem incident 5 days after dark brown stuff had finished.

Where in my cycle do you think that might have been?

Help, advice needed.

We have 3 gorgeous DC

HumphreysCorner · 25/11/2008 21:14

Oh HeinzSight, I really don't know but possibly well before and ovulation. Hopefully one of the others may be able to help.

Knax-how worrying for you not being able to see the HB straight away. Thank goodness it was found and good thoughts coming your way for the next scan.

bluestar-there is absolutely no way I am PG as I just don't feel PG at all so won't be celebrating this month. I understand the gloom that you feel as I know when I wake up tomorrow and take my temp it will have dropped and I too will be on the floor and going onto cycle 9 and having a visit to the Drs. {{hugs}}

ceebee74 · 26/11/2008 08:09

What fantastic news to wake up to

Juanitad congratulations on the birth of Patrick James Hope you are both ok and the recovery after a c-section is really not that bad. Hope it wasn't too traumatic but glad that he is finally here!!

Knax, Dawn and Mandy fab news for you all aswell!

A good day on the Bonkers thread then - maybe some BFP's soon aswell

All is ok here - Sam is jaundiced and not eating that much so MW's coming again tomorrow to check on him. But, he is contented and even Josh throwing himself around and accidentally hitting him and shouting 'wake up Sam' in his ear very loudly doesn't phase him

DawnAS · 26/11/2008 08:11

Juanitad, fantastic news - congratulations!! Hopefully you're managing to get a little well-earned rest!!

Knax, so glad that it turned out Ok for you yesterday and that you saw the little bean's heartbeat - keeping everything crossed for you for the next 10 days...

HC, dare I ask, how's the temp this morning?

Hope everyone else is feeling ok!!

xxx

bluestarlavender · 26/11/2008 08:19

Juanitad!!! yay!! Well done and I hope you're feeling okay! Lovely names too.

HC - This is rubbish, isn't it!! How are you feeling this morning?? Another temp drop?

AF for me has started as expected! I guess in someways I'm quite grateful that I have such a regular luteal phase!

Heinzsight - I was a bit confused about which period of brown discharge you meant. I would take CD1 from when the heavy red blood comes. You sound like about a 30 day cycle, so I would predict you're OVing about CD16. Does that help at all?? If you and your DH BD'ed after the second lot of brown stuff, then you might well be just before OV time.

Anyhow, big waves to everyone!! It's been lovely to get so much happy news!!

Hi to everyone. Sorry I haven't been around for ages but I do lurk!

Congratulations to Juanitad and Ceebee!!!! and also congratulations on all the positive scans! I'm glad everyone is doing so well.

I have been away trying to take my mind off things. I have my consultants appointment on Friday and am bricking it slightly. I made the mistake of going on google and almost booked myself in for a hysterectomy the other week

Morning all,
What a great day!

Juanitad amazing news, congratulations! So happy all is well, lovely names too. xx

Hi Willmouse well done for getting an appointment. Don't be scared - and do not give yourself a hysterectomy for Xmas! Step away from the eeevil google

BSL sorry AF got you but your positive attitude is brilliant. I used to think the same.

Dawn that's amazing! So happy for you.

Ceebee Sam is a little star for sure. Any more pics?!

CE I love your pics, you look v cute.

BB hi there! You ok?

HeinzSight like HC I guess you were probably on CD 10 so should be safe (if that's what you want to be? )

HC thank you very much! How are you feeling? We're not really doing presents. I miss the wrapping though! Next year...

MJIM, hi there, how are you & the clan today?

Knax congratulations! I'm sooo happy for you. How scary for a while there though... I know the feeling when they just go quiet. Awful. I slept really well, did you? x

Detoxdiva thank you so much. You OK?

Majormoo thank you! How's tricks?

Lots of love to everyone.
I've bought some baby socks.
xx

HumphreysCorner · 26/11/2008 17:26

Brilliant news juanitad-a lovely little boy with a lovely name. Take it easy now and rest that scar. An emergency C-Section eh? Wish they had done that with DD1 instead of letting me suffer struggle for 25 hours.

bluestar-tis crap that AF is here and on time. How very dare she. I actually had a temp rise this morning but when I look at previous charts that is the norm and I am only DPO 13 CD 21. Think AF will be here tomorrow as the cramps are getting much worse.

Willmouse-hope your appointment goes OK. The minute my AF arrives I am on the phone to the DR as due to my age (39) they should see that 8 months TTC is quite a long time no?

Have opened the Blossom Hill and am having several glasses a drink to soften the blow of what I know is going to happen tomorrow.

Big wave to all!

HC

detoxdiva · 26/11/2008 19:15

Congratulations Juanitad - now take it easy and rest as much as possible. Looking forward to seeing some more gorgeous baby pics soon

Knax - glad you saw the heartbeat...am sure all is well. Keeping my fingers crossed for the scan next week.

HC - get that wine down you girl....and hope the witch isn't too cruel this month. Hopefully af will be here too soon so I can join symptom spotting with you again soon

All good here - am doing a bit of b'ding when the mood takes me . Friday will be 7 weeks since mc, so surely won't have to wait much longer Actually did a pg test before we went on holiday (just in case and so I could drink like a fish relax completely . Obv it was -ive. Can't believe I am actually wishing af to arrive for once

Morning all!

Well last night I went and picked up my new 8 week old baby from Southampton...she is a tiny baby tortoise!!! She's so cute, she's only the size of a golf ball at the moment. I've called her Tara, as it means star in Indian and she is an Indian Star tortoise!

HC - I agree with Myjob, I know you know your own body...but I still want to hope a little bit for you!!

Mandy - thanks for saying you think I am being positive! At the moment I am managing to be, but I know I have very black days some times, when I am absolutely not positive at all and I am prone to flouncing! You guys here have always kept me sane...so thank you! Oh and well done for starting the baby purchases! Socks are so cute and little!! So pleased for you!

Myjob - well done for managing all four LOs yesterday!! Does it make you think you could maybe manage #3??

Willmouse - Don't worry about your appointment! And we're all here to hold your hand!

Detox - Hopefully you'll get a BFP before your AF arrives...you never know!! How are you feeling? You've seemed so pragmatic and strong about everything.

Anyhow, big waves to everyone!!
