Hi La Toour! Are your there - I need cheering up!!! It's my birthday today.

LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 12:57

Hi there HBJB, lots of love to you - January will be a busy month I think, sadly with many of us not trying for the first time.

Lean on us if you want to talk, whilst they a tremendous support, the miscarriage boards can be a little depressing - if you need an ear, the wagon will always listen....promise.

Thank you! Is it chocolate cake??

You're right it has been a rough week, and I think I've been trying so hard to be brave and OK and today I just feel quite down. Not helped by DD having a truly rotten cold (I am a bad mummy - we had to go to Tesco and she actually fell asleep in the trolley!)

Friends coming up tonight, but she's pregnant and I need to give them the option not to come as DD ill.

How're you doing? WHat are you doing for DS's birthday? (DD will be 2 in March!)

kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:04

And THANKS for that too!! Cheeky mare!! Was hoping I'd get away with not having to change it for a while!

LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 13:06

Ohhh, I'm a March girl - I can eat a slice of my birthday cake in honour of your DD in March too.

Cake most certainly is chocolate - my auntie makes a seriously chocolatey chocolate cake that she developed for her sweet toothed son - can't wait!

Coz we don't live near our families, DS birthday becomes a very long drawn out process....

Last weekend we went to MIL and FIL for a little party there, this weekend (tonight) we are going to my parents for a slightly bigger party there (more family members) and next weekend I am having a little one at home with some of our 'local' friends visiting and on Sunday of next weekend, we're going to a 'Winter Wonderland', complete with real snow apparently, then on the Monday.......Its my op!

I am sooooo busy right now its ridiculous - my brain is all over the place, I hope things settle soon as I simply can't maintain the pace.

OP posts:
LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 13:07

Cheeky? Me?

Go on, it made you smile!

Think I'm going to be packing about 3 bin bags of washing to my mum's this weekend....things are getting a bit desperate...

My mum loves me

OP posts:
kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:10

Wow! That is seriously busy! I hope you have a fab time and DS gets spoilt rotten. 2 seems so grown up.

Like the sound of the Winter Wonderland. Wonder if we'll get a white Christmas?

Your op will be here before you know it and then you'll have Christmas to recover. Are you hosting or going?! then the New Year will be here before you know it.

kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:12

3 bin bags of washing??! What have you been doing??

iggylou · 28/11/2008 13:12

LaTourEiffel I would like to join you all as a ttcer

am ttc now - have been since Sept (although came off pill in Oct 07 and tried breifly then - but put on hold for our wedding)

Welcome iggylou and pinkjenny! This thread is a bit quieter than the origianl wagon thread, but we're here occasionally! It's been a great source of information and support and I hope you find it the same.

kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:16

Iggylou, please feel free to add yourself to the list (and if you could un-bold my new age I'd appreciate it!).

LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 13:18

KK - I had no doubts really - oooh what I'd give to settle down with you for a cup of coffee and a proper chat!

  • well, it is my clothes, DS' clothes, the bedding and swimming towels - and we've been away for the weekend, which means I get even further behind, and my friend has just split up with her partner so I've been spending evenings with her, and I work full time too.

This morning I had to take my dog to the dogsitter - so we left at 6.45 to get there at 7.30 (before dogsitter leaves for work) and then back to my office for 8 - I work till 4, then go get DS, pack, drive for 3.5 hrs.....I know I'm not organised or even well motivated, but I do think I do quite a lot....

Still, I guess there's no excuse for buying new knickers from asda because I've run out though is it....

Welcome Iggylou, and congratulations on your wedding - hope it all went well!

OP posts:
LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 13:20

Mind you - at least I was conscientious enough to buy new....could have just dug some out the pile I suppose!

OP posts:
kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:27

Thank you, Iggy! When did you get married?

at buying knickers coz you've run out. !!!

I think in the New Year you should definitely take it EASY!!!! All this rushing around can't be good for you.

(And forget the coffee, I'm all for a few huge glasses of cab sav!)

Dalrymps · 28/11/2008 13:29

Hi everyone!!!

I am coming back to the thread now. I wanted to take some time out whilst I was on the AD's as I just felt frustrated that I couldn't ttc yet!

Things have been going really well for me, I was only on the AD's for a short while and started to feel myself again and feel great! After a chat with my doc I decided to try to come off them and am now off them. I feel really good at the moment but am still going to see the counsellor to go over why it happened and prevent it happening again.

Dh and I have discussed things and decided to go for it . We goffed 5 times this month and my af is due today, however, we didn't really do it around ovulation time as we were still deciding then so i'm not expecting a BFP this month.

Can't wait to share this experience with you all, sorry I've not caught up, have had a quick scan but have been gone a few months so have no chance!

Ses - I did notice your 12 week scan went well, congratulations!

I have updated the list...

Welcome back, Dalrymps!!! (never know how to pronounce your name!)

Good to see you back - you are sounding really positive and in exactly the right frame of mind for ttc! You never know, maybe you've managed it already - fingers crossed AF stays away.

Dalrymps · 28/11/2008 13:36

Hey kookykid

Just pronounce it as if the Y was an I - Dal-rimps HTH, it's part of my surname, people always have trouble with it lol

Yeah maybe done it already, if not I can't wait to start trying again

iggylou · 28/11/2008 13:36

kookykid 4th Oct - it was lovely

kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:42

Thanks you for that, Dalrymps - makes perfect sense now!

Iggy, I got married on the 14th October 2006 - it was a lovely lovely day! I don't know why more people don't do it in October.

kookykid · 28/11/2008 13:44

Right, I must go and get on with some stuff..... HATE housework (and I even have a cleaner! )

Have called my friends to warn them about DD's lurgy, but they want to come anyway (hooray!).
