Lovely news kitty! Congratulations
What's the ring like?

kittycatcat · 28/07/2009 12:27

Hehe

It's a round diamond with a pear shaped diamond either side on a platinum band. I love it.

Dalrymps · 28/07/2009 13:04

Wow, sounds lovely

wishinanhopin · 28/07/2009 14:02

Hi Girls
I need advice. So I started clomid July 14th. I didn't wait for my period to start because I never get my periods. They are very random, and my Dr told me not to wait, just to start.
So I took the 5 pills 50mg. DH and I went to work for a week straight, and today July 28th AF arrived. Last night when DH and I were bding it was a bit painful, and now today here is AF in all her fury.
I can't get into my gyno until August 17th and really don't want to waste a month if I don't have to. So I'm wondering what you ladies would do if you were me......should I begin a second dose of clomid for the next 5 days. And if so what days of your period do you start taking it. (having never started the first round on my cycle I don't know what days to take it)Sorry for the novel, but I know you ladies have been through it ALL, and may be able to offer me some advice
hugs to all xoxoxox

bringonthetrumpets · 28/07/2009 14:53

Oh wow!!!! Congratulations Kitty!!! Your ring sounds gorgeous! So happy for you!

Thing is, I have no idea when my due date is! I could be anywhere from 4-7 weeks pregnant. My doctor scheduled a scan for next Tuesday to see if there is a heartbeat. She had a feel around and she's thinking around 5 weeks right now. I'm just in shock still. I'm really not having any symptoms yet so I'm sort being a worry-wort b/c my pregnancy with ds had every symptom in the book.... it's just taking forever to sink in. I'm still just very much Really can't wait for next Tuesday. Haven't told anyone yet (aside from dh) and I'm really itching to start telling people!

Dalrymps · 28/07/2009 19:54

So exciting bringon. I too had no symptoms at all, should never had worried, i'm now 8 and a half weeks and have had horrendous all day sickness for past 2 and a half weeks. It's probably just a little early and as they say, no two pg's are the same!

Biccy · 29/07/2009 18:05

Fab news Bringon, that is really great news! Congratulations.

And congratulations to kitty, that's lovely - was it a total surprise?

wishinanhopin, I'm afraid I really don't know anything about Clomid - but there are loads of people out there who will know stuff - maybe worth a separate thread if you haven't already?

CurlyCasper · 30/07/2009 19:46

congrats dalry (are you actually in Dalry?) and bringon for the BFPs, and to kitty on the engagement.

The way my cycles are going I cannot really start TTC till October (was Sept but fertile time will be in October now)so I'm so jealous off all those already trying and with BFPs - but happy for you too!
x

Dalrymps · 30/07/2009 19:55

Curly - Where's Dalry? Anyway, no, it's part of my surname

CurlyCasper · 31/07/2009 06:22

It's in Edinburgh was just curious

kittycatcat · 31/07/2009 09:32

Thanks biccy and curly it wasnt a surprise in that i knew we were getting married next year hence ttc plans etc. But where and when was a surprise Am still buzzing.

Dalrymps · 31/07/2009 10:06

Curly, ah well I live in Berwick upon Tweed so not that far from there!

bringonthetrumpets · 04/08/2009 23:00

Hey ladies. Just got home from the scan. Turns out I'm only 5w3d along. The tech said that everything looks really good for the age but she wasn't able to find a fetus yet. The only thing that was visible was the yolk sac. I'm just waiting for my doctor to call me and hopefully I can set up another scan for a few weeks to make sure things are going smoothly and I'm hoping there is actually a heartbeat.

Sort of anti-climatic iykwim I was really excited about getting to see the baby's heartbeat and there wasn't even a baby yet. So, still veeeeeeeerrry early in the pregnancy and I'm not telling people yet. Hopefully in a few weeks!

Oh, I am due 3 April!

Biccy · 05/08/2009 20:36

Hi bringon, well, that's good news - good to know things are looking the way they should and in the right place. My symptons kicked in a couple of days before 6 weeks, so... watch this space

CurlyCasper · 05/08/2009 21:21

Hiya,

dalrymps B-u-T is a lovely place - lucky you!

bringon exciting nontheless I'm sure. Just found out my SIL is due the same time as you with number 2. (just checked your profile to make sure you are not her! )

I'm now worrying I might not be able to TTC til Nov - looks like I might need to update my rubella vaccine and then let the live virus clear from my body

Dalrymps · 05/08/2009 22:05

Bringon - Glad everything looked good at the scan, can understand you being a little dissappointed you didn't see more but sure you will at the next one

bringonthetrumpets · 06/08/2009 03:07

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. Had a small bit of extreme bitchiness toward DH , bit of nausea and a whole lot of sore boobies today so I think things are starting to kick in a little. Received a call from my doctor today and she wants to do another scan in two weeks to look for a heartbeat and check the growth. Excited! Grow little blob, GROW!

Congrats on being an aunty Curly ! That really sucks about the rubella vaccine!!! I always thought that as long as you have already had it, you're covered. You have to wait all the way until November??

CurlyCasper · 06/08/2009 21:10

Thanks bringon I've had the blood test to check about rubella and been called back to GP as a result - I can only assume it's because I'm not immune and need the jab. Nurse said all the other tests required no action, just that one needed a routine docs appointment. Many sources say you have to wait three months. A couple say one. we were waiting a few months anyway because of other medical issues, so it would only be one month extra, but still...

Happy growing thoughts for your baby!

kittycatcat · 21/08/2009 11:18

Have you had your scan bringon x

CurlyCasper · 22/08/2009 18:14

Oh how things have changed! I was immune to rubella - called back for no reason! And various calculations and ponderings have led us to start TTC alread! so excited.

How is everyone? Bringon how about that scan?

x

bringonthetrumpets · 29/08/2009 06:01

Hey ladies, it's been a looooooong time since I've posted! Sorry about that

The second scan went really well! We saw a heartbeat (158 bpm) and they bumped me up to due on 1 April. Am 9 weeks along now and thankfully the m/s has started settle down. Have a little bump growing already!

How is everyone else doing??

CurlyCasper · 29/08/2009 07:49

oh bringon I'm so happy for you - it all sounds so exciting! Thanks for the update

Dalrymps · 31/08/2009 21:21

Wow bring on, how time has flown! So happy to hear all is going well
