I'll post the list in a minute too....

Hello all,

Write this with mixed feelings, But just got my BFP!!!!! Absolutely stunned!

Mixed feelings as obviously ecstatic, but know how it feels to see other people get their BFPs when you're wishing for one of your own.

CONGRATULATIONS KK!!!!!!

That's fantastic! - just make you sure you save a seat for us all on the ante-natal wagon .

Claire236 · 21/11/2008 18:32

Congrats kk.
Hello PCH & TOMPF.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsFleckles · 21/11/2008 18:32

ah that's lovely to hear Kookykid, congrats

Latour - lol what have I not tried, well I'm not an obsessive TTCer in that I haven't gone into alternative therapies, I don't eat loads of carrots, or drink loads of Grapefuit, I haven't ever used preseed or owt like that.

We have unexplained Inf. so reckon it's more likely to be me left behind with you all on your merry way ;)

Hi all,
thanks cantwaitforxmas i'm hoping it will work out to be a lucky thread for me too.

Good luck to everyone else trying and soon to be trying.

AF is due on thursday although i probably wont be able to resist testing before then.

Feeling full of cold today so having a well deserved rest before moving house next weekend

Hi all!

Welcome to all the newbies! Great to see the ttc wagon so active

Even though I've "graduated", I do like to keep popping back!

This is a really good thread and pretty much where I started out when I joined MN after my mc so stick with it! Before I joined, I had no idea about checking CM or temping. In the end I used temping and OPKs.

LaTour - glad you had an evening out at the cinema. I really want to go and see the James Bond but at the moment I seem to fall asleep if I'm sitting down watching tv so don't know if I can risk it! Your op really isn't far away now. Will be a really good start to the new year for you. I know you've had a tough 2008 and I'm sure 2009 will be so much better. I know one year I had the worst year imaginable (best friend died of cancer, grandad died, split up with bf of 4 years in awful circumstances) and I made sure I celebrated the new year and had a much better year.

sazzlelou - hope your cold doesn't develop. We moved house about 8 weeks ago and it really doesnt help if your feeling under the weather. Hope all goes well with the packing!

how do you re-post the list with your name on it? my computer won't do it.... help!

LaTourEiffel · 24/11/2008 22:17

bb&b, KK's lost the pg , she's posted about it on another thread - hence my pulled post from 19.13.

I'm hoping she'll be back on here just as soon as she feels up to it.

To re-post the list you have to highlight it, then copy and paste it into the message box, edit as necessary...then post...

La Tour,

Thanks for your post. Think we will be both be ttc again in January. Funny how things have run in a similar vein for us. So here's to New Year BFPs!

I have to wait to do a pg test on Monday, which I am hoping will be negative. If it's not then I have to wait another week and test again. If that's + then I go for a scan and if it's neg then I think I will have to wait for another cycle before ttc again.

I am feeling surprisingly OK, just because I know it was so early. I know there are far worse things that can happen and the good thing is that at least I have been able to get pregnant.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

LaTourEiffel · 25/11/2008 11:46

Hi KK, only just managed to get on, so good to know its not long after your post. I'm glad you're OK and able to see some positive in it.... about being able to get pregnant, because that's a bit tick in a box isn't it .

And I don't know if its crossed your mind, but after a pg, you're supposed to me more fertile too - so maybe January will be our month! I've been having far more ewcm since the mc and hope that's a good sign that it won't take too long to catch again. Who'd have thought after all this time we'd still be cycle buddies - well almost .

Right, best scoot, got loads of work to do!

BBeingpatient · 25/11/2008 17:45

hi all sorry for absence

KK sorry for you MC i have had one so really do sympathise.

To update you all on myself:

Docs today, all hormones fine, so going back for CD21 blood test, (handily enough came on sunday so not long to wait) to check if i am ovulating. If i am then DP will be tested, if i am not then i expect it will go to the clomid route, however the fact that i am having periods(however far apart) and that ive been pg before, are positives.

So im feeling hopeful.

Hope everyone is well xx

Claire236 · 26/11/2008 19:53

Sorry kk, hopefully Jan will be the month for you & LaTour.

Having made me wait forever for its appearance AF has now gone so hopefully my BFP won't be too far away. Fingers crossed for us all.

cantwaitforxmas · 27/11/2008 22:27

Hi all,

I need to rant - sorry. DP is driving me crackers! When I first said that I wanted to start trying for a DC he said that he agreed and was quite excited about being a dad although he was also very nervous. He then had a change of heart and said that although he wanted children he hadn't realised I meant right away as we hadn't really talked about it before (actually I've been talking about it for 2 years and all our friends and family knew I wanted children soon but he is a very here and now person and tends not to really hear if I am talking about the future). For the last couple of months he has swung between being very excited and saying he wants us to ttc in the next month or so then changing his mind and saying he just doesn't feel completely ready yet and doesn't want to make the wrong decision.

I know it has to be a joint decision and he has to be happy for us to ttc (although I think most people never feel 100% sure they are ready for a baby right now - how can you ever be certain it's the right time?) but I'm finding this really upsetting. I'm so excited about ttc and feel I'm on an emotional rollercoaster with all this 'yes we will, no we won't' stuff. He is away this week and I have said he needs to make a decision - either he does want us to start trying now or we decide to wait for 6-12 months then see how we feel then. I think it's the right thing - he is one of those people who hates making decisions and will just keep saying maybe forever. At least if he says no he doesn't want to yet I can try to forget about it for a while - at the moment its on my mind alot of the time. I'm really nervous though as I REALLY want him to say yes and I actually think he does want children now - it's just hard for him to say yes.

Do you think I am doing the right thing or am I being hard on him? I am very impatient but I have had to push him to make most big changes/decisions since we have been together (change job when unhappy/buy the house he wanted/buy car/move city.....). Ironically, once he decides to do something he goes for it 100% and is very happy but just finds it tough to make that decision.

Sorry for the long rant - just needed to get that off my chest.

iggylou · 28/11/2008 11:03

Sorry - cantwaitforxmas had to jump in and post, even though am new here - because my DH is just like that...

Very cautious with decisions... Eg. we agreed to get a dog and he kept putting it back and back, until I dragged him to see some puppies so he had to give in.

It can be v. frustrating - I've been wanting to move for the last year and a bit... still waiting on that one!

This is one decison you really need them to go one way or the other with tho...

Pinkjenny · 28/11/2008 11:05

Can I join? Am planning to TTC DC2 from February onwards. Am a bit scared about it all, really. Dd is only 18mo, and seems so little.

But I am an only, and I really want her to grow up with a sibling relatively close in age.

cantwaitforxmas · 28/11/2008 12:45

thanks iggylou - glad to know I'm not the only one with DP who can't make his mind up! It is frustrating and I feel like a complete nag but, as you say, I really need an answer on this one.

Hi pinkjenny - I think this is a good time to ttc no2. A friend of mine has just had her DC2 after a gap of 8 years and is finding it such a stress to go back to the baby stage now. Think she had forgotten how much work it is!

Heebeejeebee · 28/11/2008 12:53

Hi all

I was lurking having sadly had a m/c and saw that my name is still on the list before I graduated to the ante-natal thread, so i just thought I would pop in to swap it around. Things are all a bit raw at the moment, but hope to be joining you soon

LaTourEiffel · 28/11/2008 12:55

Hi guys...

CWFX - The question I would ask your DH is what does he think is going to change in the next 6 months / 1 year whilst delaying TTC? If he's not ready now, he won't be ready then - or to put a more positive spin on it, if he'll be ready in 6 months time, why isn't he now? Anyway, it takes 9 months to cook a baby, so if you start ttc now....

On the other side, if its because there's things he wants to do, then he needs to put a stake in the ground and say what they are, make a list...then you can review it together and decide what's realistic and what's not, what can be done whilst pregnant and what can't and move forward from there? For eg, when DH and I were deciding on timing, we wanted to go diving, so booked a holiday then started on ttc after the last dive was finished!

Welcome Iggylou - are you joining as a ttcer?

Hi Pinkjenny - you don't know me under this name but we 'chatted'/emailed a while ago through CAT - about your DS sleeping? I name changed as I realised that my name was very easy to spot...

I've been trying to ttc dc2 since Jan, had a mc in August at 11 weeks, currently waiting for an op and then all clear before ttc in January again.
