Over here ladies, and a big Wagon welcome to any newbies!

I'll post the list in a minute too....

Hi bringonthetrumpets, glad AF arrived - hopefully this cycle will be a bit shorter for you!

Stopped doing OPKs now, as they peaked on Saturday, managed BD Sat/Sun/Mon/Weds, so, fingers crossed something's afoot inside me now.... all I can do is wait. Fortunately got loads to do before we go away next Saturday, so I'm hoping I won't go too mad with the wait this time.

DD is desperate for a baby brother or sister - last night she was very definite she should have a sister!

kittycatcat · 07/05/2009 10:41

Hi Biccy oh no, are you ok now? Not sure re bloods just called and all normal. Hurrah, going to book scan tomorrow.

Bringonthetrumpets that's fab news high fives

I have only managed one OPK cos of being on a course and out and it was negative.

Dalrymps · 07/05/2009 11:31

Bringonthetrumpets - Glad Af turned up at long last, now you can get on with bding

Biccy - Sounds like you've had a good ol shot at it, hope it has worked! Fingers crossed for you

Kitty - Glad bloods were all normal

On CD 6 now so saturday is the night to start all over again. Got my opks, they arrived quickly.

I am a bit confused though (again!). My Af started on sat night at about 11pm so i've counted that as day 1, is that what you ladies would do with it being so late in the day or would you count day 1 as sun?

kittycatcat · 07/05/2009 11:48

I would count it as day 1 Dalrymps

DB questioned my nornallity! haha

PolkaDotRachel · 07/05/2009 12:23

Hi all!

Nothing to report here I'm afraid, have not had the energy to "try" this the past couple of days as currently suffering from 2nd ear infection this month!

Have not regained normal hearing from the 1st one so am off to see the doc tomorrow! Maybe need ear syringing (sp?) or something.

bringonthetrumpets · 07/05/2009 15:55

Oh no, sorry to hear about the ear Rach. Those are the worst!! Hope you feel better sooon!

Kitty-awesome news on the bloods! hopefully the scan will go well for you as well!

Biccy- sending a speedy 2ww your way! Sounds like you got loads of time in the bedroom, fingers crossed for you that one of those lads has met your lady in waiting!

Dairy- I would definitely count Sat as day 1... then you can get onto the fun stuff sooner.

Ugh, feeling very "period-ish" atm. Now she's here and I'm already looking forward to her departure. I hope this is the start of regular cycles so I don't have to go through that whole ordeal again! We're down to only one breastfeed a day and it doesn't seem like ds minds at all. He's very happy with the formula and doesn't mind bottles... feeling a little bittersweet that he's not bothered by the fact that he's not being offered boob anymore. Oh well, part of him growing up, I suppose.

Dalrymps · 07/05/2009 21:32

Aw bringonthetrumpets - It's great you've managed to get down to 1 bf a day with minimum fuss and even better ds has taken to bottles with ease. Can understand your mixed emotions though . Just keep reminding yourself of how well you've done for him. I'm sure he loved the bfing but will get the same comfort from cuddles with mummy. If you're lucky you'll be bfing the next one in no time at all

bringonthetrumpets · 07/05/2009 21:52

aww thanks dairymps. really hope we can support each other with newborns soon!

Dalrymps · 07/05/2009 21:58

Ooh, exciting! I hope so, sooner rather than later!

kittycatcat · 08/05/2009 10:00

bringonthetrumpets glad the weaning is going well

hi all. Glad it's Friday. I am off at 2.30 to book pelvic scan at Queens, then going to see my Nephew x

Rtuff · 08/05/2009 10:23

Hi everyone,

Can i join??

Been trying for 12 months now for #2, so to say i'm frustrated now is an understatement, although i am feeling very positive this month, i've started taking agnus castus and am also trying the Deana plan so far we have bd on day 8, day 10, day 12, day 14 am now on day 15 and still waiting to ovulate which last month was day 16, so fingers crossed!!

kittycatcat · 08/05/2009 10:28

Welcome Rtuff. Good effort this month, fingers crossed for you. How old is dc1? What is agnus cactus? I have just started using OPK's and haven't recorded ov yet

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 10:29

Hi Rtuff, of course yoy can join, more the merrier!

I'm on my 6th month and am frustrated so you have my sympathies! I'm gonna try the deanna plan this month, 1st bd planned for tomorrow . I already have one ds 18 months, so this will be our 2nd too. How old is your lo?

Best to click on 'watch' on this thread as sometimes we have quiet periods but you'll see if anyone has posted in 'threads i'm watching'

Rtuff · 08/05/2009 10:42

My little boy is 3 in July and was hoping to keep the gap in their age quite short but not all going to plan but hey ho!

Agnus Castus is a herbal remedy that is supposed to help with conception there was a thread a little while back on it www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/622405-i-think-i-love-agnus-castus

Good luck everyone!!

Rtuff · 08/05/2009 10:47

Here's a bit more info on it...

PolkaDotRachel · 08/05/2009 12:13

Mmmm... I have quite bad nausea this morning... possibly related to ear problems but could be a sign?

Thank god my LO still takes long naps as if I move an inch I think I might throw-up!

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 13:21

Ooh exciting polka, where are you in your cycle?

I have felt sick today but have just finished AF so can't be pg

kittycatcat · 08/05/2009 13:47

Thanks Rtuff

Biccy · 08/05/2009 15:01

Hi Rtuff and welcome. I too am frustrated - been trying for #2 since October, dd will be 3 at the end of this month and I really empathise with not wanting the gap to get too big - I was hoping for a 3yrs ish gap, but obviously that is looking more like a 4yrs ish gap now. Hey ho. People who know the situation remind of the positive side, as in you get more time to yourself with your newborn (as no 1 is at pre-school / school) , you don't have 2 in nappies, etc etc.. there are 3.5yrs between me and my sister and we are very good friends, and always have been!

I am busying myself mentally with my 'when to test as will be away from dp when AF is due' dilemma. Am currently thinking I may order a twin pack of First Response tests from SME (£7.99 for 2 I think) and allow myself to test a week tomorrow morning, as that is the day dd and I go away for a week, and CD26. I just feel that if I am PG, I'd like to tell dp in person... and know that if I'm late, given how regular I am, I will be very suspicious, and won't be able to not tell my parents & sister who I will be with. Hmm. Am I just justifying testing early?!

Better go, dd downstairs, and gone rather quiet...

PolkaDotRachel · 08/05/2009 18:51

I think I am CD22... too early for pg test right?

I'd be pretty surprised if I am pg as not actually tried much tbh! It's probably just a tummy bug - tho haven't actually been sick - just general feeling of nausea all day!

Am now on 3rd course of antibiotics for ear infection! GP said if I am still feeling unwell or haven't regained normal hearing in a week I need to go back and she will refer me to see a specialist !

Hope everyone has a nice weekend! I have to go in to work for a few hours tomorrow

kittycatcat · 09/05/2009 07:10

Hey polkadot i am in work too today
Hope your anti b's work this time!

Morning all

Dalrymps · 09/05/2009 08:27

Morning ladies,

Polka ans kitty, hope work flies by today!

1st bd scheduled for today

PolkaDotRachel · 09/05/2009 21:39

Best of luck Dalrymps !!!

Managed to get everything done in a couple of hours at work this morning so was home before LO woke up from his nap!

Bad news is I have to go in tomorrow as well for meeting with shitty lovely couple for wedding.

No rest for the wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dalrymps · 09/05/2009 22:06

What is it you do polka? I'm guessing wedding photographer although I could be wrong!

bringonthetrumpets · 09/05/2009 23:06

looks like tonight is the big night dairy. hope you have fun!

anymore symptoms polkadotrachel? how are your ears doing?

biccy i would totally do the same thing! absolutely justified early testing. that holiday sounds like it'll be lovely! i know you're about a week away from testing, but have you had any symptoms worth noting?

welcome to the thread rtuff ! may your ttc journey be a quick and pleasant one

only 17 days until i leave for the states. still currently dealing with af... so that leaves 2 weeks for dh and i to do the deed and hopefully i'll be heading over as a knocked up lady i have to go over with ds about a month before dh so that i can get ds's naturalization process started... and dh should arriving mid-late june once his visa is all finalized. so much going on! oh, haha, made the mistake of talking to my mum about potential baby #2 and she's already looking at double buggies! i was like, let's take things one step at a time, mum, pleeeease!
