Over here ladies, and a big Wagon welcome to any newbies!

I'll post the list in a minute too....

kookykid · 09/12/2008 19:27

LaTour hope no news is good news and that you had your op and all is well.

AndADalrympsInAPearTree · 09/12/2008 20:00

Kooky - I just typed ovulation calculator in to google and clicked on one, it just asks for cycle length and when you last had af. Could work it out myself really but this is quicker and it gives you a list of due dates too

Off to bath the little man

latour - Hope you're doing ok x

LaTourEiffel · 09/12/2008 20:18

Hi all, sorry its taken a while to check in, op took place and went OK, although I didn't get home till this afternoon as I was very sore yesterday and took a while to come down off the morphine!

I'm now minus a gall bladder! YAY!

I feel very sore, like I've been punched about in the stomach, and have stitches that need removing next week, which I hope doesn't hurt

Phew that its all over with! The very lovely doc has signed me off for two weeks too, which means no more work for me till the New Year, which I'm not sure my boss will approve of but its tough really, if I'm not well, I'm not well and that's all there is to it.

Roll on Xmas!

Yay - I get to MN lots too

AndADalrympsInAPearTree · 09/12/2008 21:28

LaTour - So glad it all went ok and you're back home now. Sorry you're so sore, hope you recover quickly. You'll have to put your feet up and rest whilst MNing

Great that you get 2 weeks off so near to xmas too!

kookykid · 09/12/2008 21:29

La Tour Hooray!!

So glad it all went ahead. Goodbye gall bladder, hello R&R and ttc (well not quite yet obviously!).

Sorry you're feeling so sore, but hopefully your recovery will be quick and all the better for knowing you don't have to go back to work until 2009! Sod your boss, you definitely deserve and need the rest after all you've been through.

Dal am off to google OV calendars!

Claire236 · 10/12/2008 16:56

La Tour hope you're feeling a bit better today.

kk I'm from near Bury too. In Germany now due to my job.

cantwaitforxmas · 11/12/2008 13:43

Hi LaTour - glad the op went ahead and you are now minus a gall bladder. Sorry you are feeling sore (guess the GOFing will be tricky ) but at least its over with. Here's to 2009 being a great year!

We had a fantastic holiday with lots of GOFing - DP is definitely seeing the upside of agreeing to ttc. It would be great if we got a BFP for xmas but I'm feeling really relaxed about it for now - this is our first month after all.

KK - the whole temping/charting thing looks a bit complicated for me - I'm so disorganised, remembering to take my pill every morning was a challenge . I hope it works for you and if we are still ttc in a few months I'll know who to ask for advice! Have you decided whether to ttc this month?

kookykid · 11/12/2008 21:26

CWFX, I was always leaving temping and charting as a last resort as it always felt a bit over the top, but after ttc for a year and then the EMC I realise I AM getting desperate!

We are ttc this month - feel fine physically and just don't want to 'waste' a month. Also, lots of people say that you're more fertile after a miscarriage....

Fingers crssed for your first cycle ttc - lots of people on the old wagon thread got pg 1st try!

LaTour How you doing? Hope you're managing to take it easy and not feeling too rotten.

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 12/12/2008 11:09

Morning ladies! Bit of inspiration going on in the AN wagon, Kay has gone into labour which is very exciting!

I've been chilling out in bed ALL week, and don't have any plans to do any differently today.

I'm going to have to try to brave the shops tomorrow to finish off my christmas shopping so my excuse is I'm conserving my energy for that. I've been signed off next week too and have to go back to have stitches out next week which I'm not looking forward to.

Def. not feeling up to ttc this month, which is fine coz don't think DH is up to it either! Kind of feels a bit wrong with me having my tummy in stitches! Roll on next month

I always thought that temping was just taking things a bit too far for me, but quickly learnt alot from charting, which takes a lot less effort. Also learnt incredible amounts from here!

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 12/12/2008 15:40

Kooky - where are you? I'm worried that I've upset you with the 'stalking' comment... its a misunderstanding I PROMISE....

I thought you'd seen my post on this thread.. help me to poo after my planned cs? in which I made a reference to being constipated and needing to get things 'moving'...which they are now! So when you posted about me 'being on the move', I thought you were paraprasing me from my post about being constipated....If you read my post and the timings I promise it will all make sense .

Can you just let me know you know I wasn't commenting on why you were posting on the AN wagon? Its home to both of us, and I am very sensitive to that and am now really worried.

X

kookykid · 12/12/2008 19:01

LaTour,

Sorry I was a bit over-sensitive earlier.
Somehow always feel a bit of a fraud posting on the other thread.

I hadn't seen the poo thread! I was just commenting on a post you'd made earlier on the wagon thread. It all makes sense now........

Friends???!

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 12/12/2008 19:09

Definitely, absolutely and always!

kookykid · 12/12/2008 19:22

QUICK - get back to the AN thread, LaTour!!!

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 12/12/2008 19:59

10lb 5ozs - Christ, I hope that doesn't set any kind of trend for second DC in the wagon! . That is VERY big! Hope Kay is OK,

It will be our turn soon enough KK and we'll be looking back with fondness on the day the first wagon babe was born .

kookykid · 12/12/2008 21:17

I really hope so, LT. I really do.

What a star Kay is, having him at home. Bringing back lovely memories of when DD was born. (Obviously am wearing my very large, vintage rose-tinted specs!)

cantwaitforxmas · 15/12/2008 09:50

Morning all,

hope everyone had a good weekend. I've been really lazy although I did manage to get most of my wrapping done and wrote out all my xmas cards (all from a cosy seat on the sofa though).

How does anyone manage this 2ww thing without going completely barmy? This is only our first month of ttc but I am sooooo impatient already . I think it's worse because it is xmas so have been out shopping for godson, nieces and nephew etc so can't help wondering whether we will have our own DC or bean to shop for next year. AF is due on xmas eve so now I really can't wait for xmas!

Claire236 · 15/12/2008 17:56

AF appeared today so I feel crappy in every way imaginable. dh says I should be pleased having waited 3 months for first af after pill that this one is on time, doesn't he realize I don't want another af I just want a bfp. It's not bloody complicated to understand is it. Am going to go & take my irrational anger out on an inanimate object (like dh's head) now.

AndADalrympsInAPearTree · 15/12/2008 22:42

Hey everyone,

Cantwait - I know what you mean, I am very impatient about the 2ww, my af is due on 27th dec so I don't feel like I can drink over xmas just in case. Not sure how to explain to everyone why i'm not drinking though, we're going to pils and all dh's family will be there...

Claire236 - So so sorry your af has arrived. Not surpsised you're dissapointed and angry about it. Dh's just don't get it sometimes do they! Here's hoping you get your bfp soon, fingers crossed for you.

I was being a moody cow with dh last night cause we planned to gof every other day, especially through the middle of the month during my 'fertile phase'. anyway, he had a cold and we got to bed and he decided he didn't feel like it. I was dissapointed and perhaps over reacted a little . Peace is restored now and I have realised I need to chill out a bit more about it, after all, it is only month 1!

cantwaitforxmas · 16/12/2008 08:15

Cheers Dalrymps - I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who gets impatient about the 2ww. Lol at your spate with DH - when DP has a cold he is completely useless (it's always man flu) so I could imagine a similar spate in our house if he gets a cold at the wrong time!

Claire236 - sorry AF arrived and I think it seems reasonable to take your frustration out on DH's head! My DP says things like that sometimes and the worst part is I think he is really trying to help (point out the positives) so he is totally baffled when I get annoyed. Hope you get your BFP soon.

cantwaitforxmas · 16/12/2008 08:18

Spate????? Not sure where the 'e' came from . I meant spat obviously . Oh dear, think I had better go and have a coffee and see if that wakes me up a bit.

AndADalrympsInAPearTree · 16/12/2008 09:27

Cantwait - Lol at spate, I kinda got what you meant anyway, I just thought it was a regional variation

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 16/12/2008 11:03

Morning ladies, Claire, sorry for AF...

I'm on CD18 today and no sign of EWCM yet, so i'm either having another long cycle or the EWCM is less abundant this month. I didn't get much at all before the MC so perhaps the 'benefits' of the MC are wearing off, it has been a couple of months now. In fact, its been three - its gone quite quickly in some respects.

My stitches are mostly healing well, I'm booked to have them taken out on Thursday which I'm not looking forward to. I think it will be OK on the three that seem to have healed but my tummy still looks a bit weepy and scabby and not as well healed - am not looking forward to her tugging stitches out at all .

CWFX - are you still looking forward to Christmas? I can't wait - I'm really looking forward to seeing DS experience it all, he was only a baby last year but this year, nursery have obviously been telling him loads - last night was probably the closest we've had to a conversation from him, telling me about presents and christmas trees -

DS - mummy presents
Me - yes, mummy will get presents
DS - James presents
Me - yes, james will get presents too
DS - daddy presents
Me - yes, daddy will get presents, everybody will have presents
DS - susie presents (the dog)
Me - well...errr...maybe
DS - Susie presents
Me - I'm not sure about susie (we don't normally buy the dog a present)
DS - Susie presents
Me - yes, susie can have a present too
DS - father christmas... mumble... presents... mumble... christmas tree...

I couldn't help but giggle and keep having little heart melty moments with him

Claire236 · 16/12/2008 11:59

Feeling a touch calmer today, thanks for the support. dh definitely doesn't understand.

Good luck getting the stitches removed LaTour.

My ds is really excited about Christmas this year. He's been in his first Nativity, which I cried at, helped me decorate the tree & is actually more interested in baby Jesus being born than getting presents although it's a close run thing. He comes home from nursery with a new Christmas song nearly every day to provide my heart melting moments. Love him, love him, love him.

cantwaitforxmas · 16/12/2008 13:21

Hi LaTour - your LO sounds adorable! Good luck with getting the stitches removed - at least they'll have a good look at the wound so you know its healing okay.

I'm really looking forward to xmas and not just because it is the end of the 2ww. It's great to see all my family and I love handing out all the pressies. It's always more fun buying things for the LOs and this year my godson and nephew are old enough to be getting very excited which is great.

Claire236 - glad you are feeling better. Your DS's singing must help, how sweet. I really hope we don't have many more xmas's without DC!

Dalrymps - yes it was definitely just a regional variation

cantwaitforxmas · 19/12/2008 09:43

Okay, after complaining about having no symptoms to play at spotting I woke up this morning feeling really nauseous. Nearly threw up when I was brushing my teeth and the smell of coffee is making me really queasy. I feel much better after slowly sipping a cup of tea and walking to work in the fresh air. Apparently it is possible to start feeling sick before AF is due but not expecting AF until xmas eve - think I am probably reading too much into a winter bug .
