OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

oops sorry wendy - forgot to say yes i am the one who does temps and i only get 8 or 9 endings too - never had a .74 reading yet? wouldnt worry about it if it was a one-off. maybe, that is normal anyway, dont you just round them up anyhow?

Bella23 · 07/03/2005 20:20

Evening all, very quiet on here.
Not up to much, just glad Monday is nearly over, always glad when that happens. being a bit naughty and having a glass of vino, we've got loads left after our dinner party on Sat, its just sat there willing me to drink it!
Already obsessing to the end of this week as dying for the 2 week wait to be over so that I can do a test - lord at this rate I shall be wishing my life away too quickly! Keep having day dreams - need to get a grip!

dyzzidi · 08/03/2005 12:05

Hi ladies I Went on the internet to look at OPK's and found a saliva based one that is reusable. It was about £22 and moniters your most fertile days by you looking at your spit (dried) through a little microscope and seeing how it crystalizes.

Has anybody tried one of these????

Bella23 · 08/03/2005 12:10

I think George uses ferning
Let me know how you find it as always been interested to see how it works. Love gadgets, have bought persona to use next month

george32 · 08/03/2005 12:12

Hi Dizzi, I've got one and the only time I've seen ferning is after using it after brushing my teeth. I've put it down to the toothpaste!!

You can get new ones off e-bay for about a fiver (search for saliva!)so they work out quite cheap.

I still use it even though I have no idea if it works. Might be too early in my cycle to tell yet (Did I mention I've still had no ov???)

romilly · 08/03/2005 12:13

morning girls. bit quieter on here today. well, we know whats keeping dqueen busy but whats everyone else up to?

i'm nervous/excited today - got a completely unexpected 0 on my persona this morning which means CD12 or 13 OV this cycle which is much earlier than last (CD15/16). the bad news is i wasnt expecting it so have missed out on a couple of fertile days, but fingers crossed for 2nite. babydust for b'ding success please. just hope and pray can manage this time without upsetting or freaking out d/h. oh its SO nerve-racking (we do need an emoticon for {{{nervous}}}} and on-edge MN!)

Rom - good luck with the DH seduction tonight. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly, so frustrating when they say something that p**ses you off and you have to bite your tongue because you are thinking "I need your little swimmers, its more important than an arguement" .......mmmmmm oh to be a woman!

romilly · 08/03/2005 12:21

awww thankyou george

romilly · 08/03/2005 12:22

dyzzidi · 08/03/2005 12:39

Good Luck Romilly. I'm stuck in work today unfortunately my DP is in Dublin all week and all I have got to look forward to is cleaning house this week.

Sending you lots of babydust.

romilly · 08/03/2005 13:22

thankyou dyzz - i do need that babydust. sorry to hear you are without d/h - which cd day are you on? past critical b'd time i hope.

dyzzidi · 08/03/2005 13:30

I think I am day 10 of 28 day cycle but AF's are still a bit messed up after M/c so as I have never counted days before does this mean that it is this weekend when i should be OV?

romilly · 08/03/2005 13:36

yup dyzz - if you dont OV early, the weekend could be perfect timing for you

dyzzidi · 08/03/2005 13:57

Knowing my luck my Endo will flare up and BD'ing will be out of the picture.

Stupid womens problems!!!!!!!

MizZan · 08/03/2005 14:07

good luck and babydust to you tonight, Romilly! I had to laugh at your story of having a big argument with DH/DP on the key night, as did exactly the same myself, despite best intentions. Got so annoyed and it was so late we just ended up going off to sleep instead, but then thought better of it in the wee hours of the morning. Hopefully your evening will go more smoothly

And some belated babydust to DramaQueen as well!

Canadianmom · 08/03/2005 15:11

Well, May I join you?

MN saved my sanity during my last missed miscarriage and this seems like the place to be if I am crazy enough to be trying again. (Still not REALLY trying just not NOT trying iykwim)
My stats:
34
CD14 but no sign of ov (based on CM) Never tried OPKs or anything for that matter as I seem to just 'fall pg'. Can't seem to stay that way for 40 weeks is all.
DH 34
3 little people running about:
ds1 8 in April
dd 6
ds2 3
3 missed miscarriages
Nov 01 (18 weeks)
Nov 03 (13 weeks)
June 04 (16 weeks with twins)

Am feeling very uncertain about the whole idea of ttc because we already have three children and I don't know how I could make it through another first trimester of being ill and exhausted only to miscarry when most other pregnant women start to feel safe and start sharing the news. I also feel that we are losing support of family and friends who think that we are pushing our luck/being selfish for wanting more than we already have. Thank Heavens for MN because I feel less unstable when I see how many other mothers share my concerns.
Sorry for rambling...Rant over.

dyzzidi · 08/03/2005 15:20

Hello and Welcome CanadianMum

Please stay and make some new friends!

I feel for you with your M/c's. I don't have children but I don't think you should ever give up on what you want. I also had a missed m/c and feel cheated that my body gave me no signs regarding what had happened to my baby.

I'm cautious of ttc and am also awaiting IVF in the next few months so feel that the odds of it happening are pretty slim.

Its horrible feeling like no one understands and I've found MN a great comfort as everybody has their own 'story' yet they seem to have endless compassion for others. It's great to be pulling together!!!

Canadianmom · 08/03/2005 15:27

Thanks for the warm welcome dyzzidi. I completely agree about Mumsnet being a great source of comfort.
There are some amazing mothers and mothers-to-be on this site. The wealth of information and the amout of compassion is incredible!

Cadmum · 08/03/2005 15:38

Just to complicate things, I have changed my MN name... Should have done it before my first post here, Sorry. (Formerly Canadiamom)

dramaqueen72 · 08/03/2005 16:33

no, actually i am NOT in bed!!! i'm lurking, supposedly getting things done today -ha! well finally got some 'correct timing' bd-ing in, tho dhs heart really isnt in it, with business worries filling his head! eek! how am i going to tell him we should do it again a few more times? ah well.so is life. i bd-ed before and bang on O. if i cant get anymore in, i cant!
NOw what do i do? no opks to play with, too ealry for pg tests...sigh, i need a 2ww test i think!
many thanks for my babydust ladies, and the same back at you all,
hey cadmum.........i also have three children and also found alittle 'well youve already got three......' feeling after my last missed m/c. its not like that is it? its not fair to be judged by the children you do or dont have. luckily i havent felt like that here, this thread, and the ones that started it, have all been very nice to me. last month i wasnt trying 'trying'. this month i have been TRYING trying -LOL

Cadmum · 08/03/2005 17:01

Hello Dramaqueen (LOVE the name! Often refer to dd as Dramaqueen.) I do believe that the general perception among my family and friends is that I already had the perfect family after two (both genders represented and all). From that point on it would appear that I deserve all of this heart-ache because I just don't know when to call it quits. (Even my mother (bless her) and my BF feel that I should know when enough is enough and that was long before the first mm/c.)
Hope I always see every child as a blessing and never subscribe to their thinking but I am waffling here. Thanks for the encouragement. I do agree that MN is more supportive in general and that this thread is amazing. Hereshoping also has three children the same age as mine so we are obviously not the only longing-for-a-fourth-souls on this thread!
