Hello all,
Pistachio, well it's our first wedding anniversary on Easter Sunday so we're going out for dinner on Sunday evening. DH has three days off over the weekend as he has to work on Friday, but I'm off for all four days so I intend to chill out and relax!! Hoping to have just one chocolate bar on Easter Sunday but need to speak to the diabetic nurse to find out how many units of insulin I need to take to enable me to have it - it's a real minefield - but it'll be worth it to have a Cadburys Flake out of my Easter Egg. The rest of the egg will have to wait until after Jelly arrives!! What are you going to get up to at the weekend? Love the sound of your veggie patch! We only bought our first house in December so we're starting to think about the garden now. We'd like some veggies too but have so far only found a gooseberry bush - but at least it's a start I suppose!! xx
Vix, sorry that you feel a bit down hun. Still keeping everything crossed for you though. It's quite early I would think to see symptoms so don't be too disheartened yet...
MAF, just heard the report on the news about both names from same sex couples going on the birth certificate, it's all official now hun - how wonderful!! When are you having your IUI? Sorry I seem to be losing track...
Iate, good luck for tomorrow then hun, I hope it all goes Ok. Bloods will be a start, even if they don't do a scan. Although they should do a scan as you've had some bleeding... I'll wait with bated breath...
Crunchy, the link that Pistachio has provided is really good, but the general rule over when you need to let work know is 25 weeks. You need to have let them know that you're PG by then. You should get your MATB1 form from your MW at your 25 week check and you send that through to your Line Manager. Directgov is great though to know what benefits you're entitled to. I didn't know until I went on there that if you both work after the baby is born, you get money, as long as your joint salary is under about £60k. It's going to make a great difference to us. It means that even though Jelly is going to be in childcare for 4 days a week, it will only cost us about £230 a month - we thought it was going to be sooo much more than that and our joint salary is VERY close to the limit, so it really does help!!
Right, anyway, back to work!!
