fairywing · 06/04/2009 07:25

Good luck today IAATCEY

Well i was very chilled about being pregnant again all weekend but as i can feel myself getting more excited about it now i am actually late i am starting to feel terrified of mc happening again. Going to ring docs to make an appointment later so will chat to him about how i'm feeling but all we can really do is wait and see and hope.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 08:10

thankyou guys! I did another test this mornin (always thinking about hcg levels going down) and BFP straight away! This not a digital test. Tescos still have tests 4 for £9!

Hope you all had a fabby weekend! shall be calling the Drs spot on 8:30!

laurielou · 06/04/2009 08:55

Good grief, there's something in the water on this thread!!

BIG CONGRATULATIONS, Fairy, Crunchy & Iate

How lovely to have such fabulous news. Here's to plenty more...............

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 09:26

yep def something in the water! i shall be back on after appt with Dr at 10:10 so dont have to wait to long! and the Dr's female!!

Once she confirms it i shall be more than accepting of it all!

How are you anyways Laurielou?

laurielou · 06/04/2009 09:32

Iate good luck at the female drs - keep us posted.

I'm OK thanks. Desperately trying (& failing) not to analyse any number of symptoms. AF due next Mon, so I shall be driving myself & DP - & your good selves - crazy then.

Looking forward to eating some chocolate - gave it up for 6 weeks of lent. Not for religious reasons, but to annoy a school friend who went on & on how she'd managed to do it. Why do I need a DC when I can be so childish myself?? [Smile]

makingafamily · 06/04/2009 10:15

Morning Ladies.

Hopw everyone enjoyed the weekend sun?

Spent half the morning trying to get through to the clinic ARGHHHHH and im a happy bunny as the fertility monitor has been reset and im back to peeing on sticks

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 10:44

hi well im back and what a waste of time that was! apparently its not normal practice to test HCG levels? Im to go to my local hospital tom mornin and wait for a scan, she said i will be 6 weeks Wednesday if i am pregnant. Really wanted to know today been waiting all weekend as it is Grr

makingafamily · 06/04/2009 10:57

Oh thats pants but at least your going to be scanned tomorrow and the HPT are coming up strong. Good luck for tomorrow IAATCEY

I think we're just exceptionally lucky when it comes to GP's and being sent off for tests, and also very thankful that she's kicked up a fuss for us to recieve NHS funded treatment

DawnAS · 06/04/2009 10:59

Morning all,

Iate, just so I understand, are they giving you an early scan tomorrow or just checking your HCG levels at the hospital? I really hope it's a scan, but do be prepared to not to see too much at 6 weeks, there's not a lot that they can see so don't panic. Also, stop testing now. Hormone levels do start to fluctuate soon and you will drive yourself mad if you keep testing. I remember when I was temping, I started to panic as my temperature started to change. Can't wait until you come back from the hospital tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you!!

MAF, oooh, how exciting hun. I'm hoping that it happens for you straight away!!

Laurielou, and you hun, keep symptom spotting!!

Fairy, just take one day at a time sweetheart... If you can get in for an early scan, it'll make you feel so much better... xx

Summer, how are you hun and how is the Summerbean? Things are good here. Jelly has been wriggling around madly this morning, bless her!! xx

Pistachio, how was your weekend darlin'?

xxx

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 11:05

Heya she said they dont automatically scan at less than 6 week but seeing as i would only be a day of 6 weeks they should.
If they dont scan me i will ask for blood tests to be done. I know i wont see much but it would be peace of mind to know its in the right place and their is a bean their rather than this now knowing. Grrrr I'll get through it
As for testing to much I keep reasoning with myself that if i wasnt then why is it still saying positive so im now 90% sure i am pregnant. Gonna stop posting as its doing my head in, but i will let you know how scan goes tommorrow.

crunchynutter · 06/04/2009 11:41

Hi- i'm taking forms into the new doctors today as my Doctor isn't very good so before im making an appointment i'm trying to change doctors I can never get apponitments at mine and there have been no end of mishaps (lost test results etc) over the years it just never really bothered me before! The new one is close to my house (just up the road) and i have some family registered there who have said they are fantastic and they always get you appointments and they ring you with test resuts so i think that may put my mind at rest!

Iate good luck with the scan tomorrow! how exciting! i'd love an early scan but have no idea what to expect at the moment! my DH is working away too and i want him with me so was hoping to get an appointment Friday when hes home...

Anyway I hope everyone else is well? Does anybody know anything about maternity laws (or how i find out??) When do we have to tell the workplace? I was worrying about telling them too early but figured i would need to tell them before i have a huge bump! LOL xx

Vix67 · 06/04/2009 12:18

Morning Ladies

WOW i cant believe we have had 3 BFP's this month woo hoo!! Huge congratulations to fairy crunchy and Iate. Iate Good Luck for tomorrow hun, keeping all my fingers crossed for you.

Fairy Hope ur ok!! Its absolutely fantastic news that you got your bfp so quickly!! Will you get an early scan to put your mind at rest?? xx

Crunchy Woo Hoo any tips for us first time frolickers?!

MAF u must be so excited!! Dont worry about the IUI it only takes a few minutes!!

Big hello to everyone hope you are all well and having a happy monday

Well I am on CD 19 today and dont feel any different. Feeling a bit down today trying not to, but feel like i am never gonna get my sooooo important BFP xx

PistachioLemon · 06/04/2009 13:05

Afternoon everyone,

Dawn I had a lovely weekend thanks. I've been trying to sort out my veggie patch while the weather holds so lots of digging, weeding and planting. DH went on a cooking course on Saturday (wedding/valentines pressie) so I'm trying to persuade him to recreate his achievement for next Sunday. We also had lunch with some friends we haven't seen for ages and I had a wonderful time playing tea parties with their four year old and two year old. How about you? You get up to anything nice? I meant to say, I absolutely adore your nursery too.

IAATCEY Hopefully you can get some peace of mind at the EPU tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

Crunchy Direct gov has lots of useful information on maternity rights including a tool to work out dates and things. As far as I can see you input your dates and employment details and bingo it spits out a calendar showing when you have to do things and what you're entitled to. I think if you're due in December you don't have to let your employer know until August sometime (but check, I'm not absolutely sure about that) though they might guess before then! Good luck with the new doctors, hope they are more helpful than your last ones.

MAF How exciting - I'm crossing fingers that the Eurosperm are super wiggly and you get your BFP very very soon.

Vix I know what you mean about not feeling any different. I am on CD25 of 28 but I'm not very hopeful as I seem to have ovulated quite late and I have no symptoms at all. Fairy, Crunchy and IAATCEY please can you waft some of your magic our way!

Laurielou I love symptom spotting so feel free to drive me crazy, the more the merrier. And mmm chocolate, I bet you can't wait until Sunday

Summer How's the bump getting on?

Hi to everyone else. Any plans for Easter weekend?

DawnAS · 06/04/2009 13:55

Hello all,

Pistachio, well it's our first wedding anniversary on Easter Sunday so we're going out for dinner on Sunday evening. DH has three days off over the weekend as he has to work on Friday, but I'm off for all four days so I intend to chill out and relax!! Hoping to have just one chocolate bar on Easter Sunday but need to speak to the diabetic nurse to find out how many units of insulin I need to take to enable me to have it - it's a real minefield - but it'll be worth it to have a Cadburys Flake out of my Easter Egg. The rest of the egg will have to wait until after Jelly arrives!! What are you going to get up to at the weekend? Love the sound of your veggie patch! We only bought our first house in December so we're starting to think about the garden now. We'd like some veggies too but have so far only found a gooseberry bush - but at least it's a start I suppose!! xx

Vix, sorry that you feel a bit down hun. Still keeping everything crossed for you though. It's quite early I would think to see symptoms so don't be too disheartened yet...

MAF, just heard the report on the news about both names from same sex couples going on the birth certificate, it's all official now hun - how wonderful!! When are you having your IUI? Sorry I seem to be losing track...

Iate, good luck for tomorrow then hun, I hope it all goes Ok. Bloods will be a start, even if they don't do a scan. Although they should do a scan as you've had some bleeding... I'll wait with bated breath...

Crunchy, the link that Pistachio has provided is really good, but the general rule over when you need to let work know is 25 weeks. You need to have let them know that you're PG by then. You should get your MATB1 form from your MW at your 25 week check and you send that through to your Line Manager. Directgov is great though to know what benefits you're entitled to. I didn't know until I went on there that if you both work after the baby is born, you get money, as long as your joint salary is under about £60k. It's going to make a great difference to us. It means that even though Jelly is going to be in childcare for 4 days a week, it will only cost us about £230 a month - we thought it was going to be sooo much more than that and our joint salary is VERY close to the limit, so it really does help!!

Right, anyway, back to work!!

summerbird · 07/04/2009 09:23

Hey ladies, will bob on later for a full catch up with you all, but just wanted to say good morning to you ladies and hope you are all well,

good luck to IAATCEY for your scan today, and congrats on your many BFP's - i think i did about 4 in total!

Crunchy i too was about to give you the direct.gov link - it is really useful. It is entirely your choice but i told them straight away as i was too excited!!

will catch you all later today

DawnAS · 07/04/2009 11:26

Morning all,

MAF, yep, got this and it will be very welcome too!! Picked up my form from the MW at my appointment on Friday. Apparently they're not paying out until end of April so by the time I get mine, there won't be long and Jelly will be here. So we're going to use the money to buy everything for Jelly that we might still need... Hope you're well hun!!

Summer, how's the little Summerbean today? Not so little anymore I'd imagine!!

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 07/04/2009 11:33

morning all just got home sad
Basically they could see nothing on the scan no sac or anything so said it could be to early to tell. Womb lining looks either like its getting ready to do its thing, or not, they cant say. She said it certainly doesnt look like a 6 week pregnancy etc etc. Have been told by the nurse that it may be that I am pregnant but its still to early to see, or that I did miscarry and thats why the test is showing BFP.
Been advised to test again in a weeks time, and then in 2 weeks if i can wait that long and go back in for a scan.
Bit disappointed as was really hoping to have known either way today. The test i did yesterday which was BFP was so clear, much clearer than the first lot of tests i did. I asked if my cervix was closed etc and they didn't answer, but then it was a scan rather than an internal examination hmm
DH and I have decided we know something is going on because of the boobs being tender (seems constant now and all over) and also i've gone of marmite!? Whether thats anything i really don't know. If the digi test was correct it said 2-3 so it may be just to early to know/see but i assumed i would have been able to at least see a sac or something today!?.
Its not looking good is it! sad
