Well a BFN for me with some ebay cheapie but supposedly super sensitive tests. AF not due until Monday so i guess there is time yet but i don't think i am pregnant this month which is a shame but onwards and upwards.

DawnAS · 02/04/2009 09:58

Fairy,

Sorry about the BFN hun... But keep your chin up.

Roll on next month for you if it doesn't happen this month, but don't give up yet...

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 02/04/2009 10:17

ooh sorry Fairy for your BFN, maybe wait till AF is late and test again.

Keep your chin up 4 weeks seems a long time but in the scale of things its not long and hopefully you'll get your BFP!

xx

DawnAS · 02/04/2009 15:58

Shirley, forgot to say, I'm sure you've changed your name just to remind me of what I'm missing...

Only joking hun - someone else might aswell enjoy the chocolate for me since I can't have any!!

Well, had my diabetic clinic today and told them that as I'm now used to doing the injections, I may start having slightly bigger meals but taking insulin beforehand so that I can ease the pressure a bit and stop myself feeling so hungry. They said that I'm doing really well controlling my diet and that I don't need to go back next week. The nurse will just call me to go through my blood readings to make sure that I'm still managing to control it and then the Thursday after, I'll have my 32 week growth scan to make sure that Jelly isn't getting too big.

So it was quite a successful trip really!! And I treated myself to a MacDonalds and 4 units of insulin for my lunch!! Yum yum!!

crunchynutter · 02/04/2009 16:23

Oooh you're getting me confused now! I keep feeling really sick and getting hot flushes. The kids keep having to open all the windows and I had to go and ask my friend if she had any hidden biscuits or chocolate at work the other day because I felt so sick. it's not hunger though, i'm not eating a lot, I just need to keep picking at things or I feel sick.

As you know though, my cycle was non-existant then returned in November and I was pretty much non-stop for a month but then it settled down and I january it had been 27 days then February (I think)it was 28 days (but that was the one that was only a day and a half long and very light spotting) I'm on day 34 now and my husband doesn't want me to test until at least next Saturday its driving me mad now but I don't want to be disappointed again and it is our wedding anniversary next Friday so I suppose a BFP would be nice for that!

I need your votes- should I wait or should I convince him?? He thinks we should wait until I have a missed period not a late one... that seems ages though...

DawnAS · 02/04/2009 16:51

Crunchy, OMG what a dilemma!! Have your cycles ever been as long as this or is this the longest, even during the phase when they were all over the place?

If your DH has said to wait until you've missed an AF but is Ok for you to do it on Saturday, then maybe Saturday is a compromise that you should agree to (or does he mean NEXT Saturday - I don't think I can wait that long!!!! ).

It's our 1st Anniversary on Easter Sunday, how nice that we're around the same time - spring weddings hey?!!

xxx

crunchynutter · 02/04/2009 17:53

LOL yep i am looking forward to our anniversary but yes he means waiting til the 11th as in NEXT saturday... I suggested this Saturday! His thinking is that if i am then it won't matter when we test but we may as well wait as long as incase i'm not and I get upset!

I think my periods were always quite regular up until they stopped with the injection. this is definitly the longest. I wish there was a way i'd KNOW if I should test. I know it sounds stupid but i've never felt like this before- i'm getting twinges every other day or so but not painful and they don't feel the same as the cramps I get with AF. and my boobs are a little tender and seem to have grown but when i am due usually they just become quite painful. Everything feels different. It's hard to explain to a man isn't it!

crunchynutter · 02/04/2009 18:01

ooh my the way Dawn i just had a look at your pictures- I love your nursery! and
I have to say- Tilly looks just like my Alfie, he has the same blonde markings on his shoulders he is gorgeous! lol

crunchynutter · 02/04/2009 22:03

I think i'm going to wait until Saturday. wish me luck ladies! I shall let you know if there are any changes! xx

Littleluce · 02/04/2009 22:28

Evening ladies,

I have to say that I'm finding reading your posts sooo reassuring as I'm trying not to lose my mind!

As I mentioned before I'm on day 49!!!! of my cycle and although I've done a test which was negative like Crunchy I'm feeling sick, having flushes and being comepletely overly emotional about nothing (just cried watching a programme about Woollies for goodness sake!) So in my head I'm trying to talk myself into being pregnant! Am feeling like a newbie and have lots of questions! Should I always believe the test? And how can I work out all of your jargon for stuff - am trying but still baffled by some of it!!

My poor DH (think that's right!) is being v patient, but this is only the first month so think i might drive him crazy soon!

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 03/04/2009 07:59

Hey littleluce how long ago did you do the tes and what type of test was it?

I've heard some people say digital tests are more accurate but less sensitive. From my experience last month digi test said neg and 3 normal line tests said pos, so maybe try again?

Good luck on that BFP!

laurielou · 03/04/2009 08:37

crunchynutter - you'll win the patience award if you wait until next Sat!! My DP also says to wait until AF is late before thinking of testing - argh!!

Whenever you do test, good luck for a BFP x

DawnAS · 03/04/2009 09:58

Morning All,

Littleluce, you often get incorrect negative results but it's very rare to get an incorrect positive result. So if you still think you might be PG, maybe you should take another test. I've heard of people not getting a positive response until they're 6 weeks PG!! So all is not lost yet...

Crunchy, thankyou for your comments on my pics. We came across the nursery rhyme mural by fluke really, I was actually looking for a pram!! My BIL is a really good artist so he's offered to paint some pink flowers for us on one of the plain walls, just a few pink daisies to blend in with the room. Girl, you have the patience of a saint and ooooohh for men - they just don't get it do they?!!

Hi Laurilou and IAATCEY (hope I got all the letters in the right place..*. Hope you girlies are Ok today.

Did anyone see Eastenders last night. Not a major fan but watch it if it's on but TOTALLY did not expect that outcome!!! Cried buckets but then got annoyed. They have dragged that story out for so long and it was getting boring and now they've killed her off as soon as the "truth is out there", how frustrating!!!

xxx

summerbird · 03/04/2009 12:04

crunchy my DH also told me to wait a week to test but i couldnt do it so he agreed to let me test straightaway. i have to say you have the patience of a saint if you hold out but good luck

OP posts:
crunchynutter · 03/04/2009 14:17

I think I will be testing tomorrow but wanted to get hold of some cheaper test and then use the digital one i have if i get a positive as a second opinion... then if it is a BFN Ill wait another week or so to see if AF arives. thats the plan! Ive been getting weird twinges, not cramps, more like a tight tingling sensation around my left side which is very odd but it is now day 35 and i definitly don't feel like AF is due if that makes sense. Definitly never been this late before! So fingers crossed! I guess 35 isn't that long though if littleluce is on 49?! i'll hate it is DH is right and we should have waited LOL. He has agreed that maybe I know my body a bit by now though!

Dawn i was looking at murals last night though, there are some beautiful ones available isn't there? I have designed the perfect princess room LOL I'm just keeping my fingers crossed now! xx

laurielou · 03/04/2009 14:47

DawnAS - Eastenders - ARGH!! Don't normally watch it, I'm one of those annoying people who dip in when they advertise a good storyline. Still cried buckets too - then I was embarrassed at myself as the acting was pretty OTT!

crunchnutter - have everything crossed for a BFP.

Hello to everyone I haven't mentioned by name.

fairywing · 03/04/2009 17:33

Erm...BFP on ebay cheapie about an hour ago . We are both a bit shell shocked. Not sure if i'm excited or terrified. Trying to stay calm until i am actually late which would be Monday.

VeryAnnieMary · 03/04/2009 18:03

Congrats fairywing - what a nice weekend surprise.

littleluce my af arrived 2 days ago after a 49 day cycle - it's very annoying and uncomfortable isn't it? - just wanted to get AF over and start counting again. Hope you get an answer either way soon x

Hi to everyone else

summerbird · 03/04/2009 19:29

fairy i am so pleased for you, of course you are terrified but it doesnt necessarily follow that the same thing will happen again. a few of the girls on here are living proof of that, dawn got her BFP within about the same timescale and she is nearly there!

you take care and i shall raise a non alcoholic beer to you and DH tonight

Congratulations Fairy!!! Thats great news

PistachioLemon · 04/04/2009 09:07

Morning ladies,

Fairy CONGRATULATIONS that's such wonderful news. How are you feeling now?

Crunchie any news? I don't think I'd be able to wait until next Saturday if I was in your situtation. I hope it's a lovely clear BFP for you.

VAM sorry to hear about AF arriving - it must have been driving you nuts after 49 days. Hopefully it'll be over soon and you can get down to some business time.

Hi Shirley/IAATCEY, how are you? Haven't hear much from you over the past week or so. Hope all's ok?

Hi to everyone else! What has everyone got planned for the weekend?

crunchynutter · 04/04/2009 09:20

OMG it's a BFP! I used the clear blue digital and its saying 3 weeks+ so I am wondering if the February bleed was implantation?? My husband's like a big kid and insisted that we tell parents straight away- which i'm glad of because mom's making rules with regards to me riding etc already. I wasnt sure if i could ride or not and she's be encouraging me over jumps if she didnt know. we have told them its early though as i figured if the worst does happen we'll need the support but we're staying positive!!
