Hey ladies

Welcome back crunchy all sounds good

Well ladies, where to start?!?! The yoghurt potting is not going well as we are officially out of yoghurt!!!! Looks like we both have sperm issues at the moment, in our case we're sperm less!! The last few weeks have been really difficult and we havent been able to come to an agreement with the boys about the legal stuff and the outcome is that yesterday we decided to not go ahead with our two mum, two dad family The boys are not willing to not have bio dad's name on the birth cert and let DP adopt. Our main concern is that we dont loose our best friends, i can cope with us not co-parenting together but not loosing them from my life, they are our family.

But on a positive we are thinking of looking at the europeansperm bank and are going to go anonymous. Looks like its gonna cost us about £3000 for the jism but fingers crossed we get funded treatment at the Homerton. DP seems more relaxed about this option so we might end up having a half danish bean!!!!!

Fertility referral is at my GP's and already to go when we say the word. I feel like i'm mourning the family we will never have with the boys but feeling positive about our new journey. And it means i can have a fab boozy Xmas

I was gonna have a look at the assisted conception thread but if you ladies don't mind i'm gonna stay right here. Come on ladies where are you? I want to hear all your TTC stories and all your Beanie stories

I am on D25 at the mo, and am startingto get period pains so no the evil evil witch is on her way
I was really hopeful for this month cos we were on holiday, relaxed, lots of bding around the right times etc etc but never mind!!

xxxx

BubbaP · 19/11/2008 18:40

MAF sorry to hear that you can't come to agreement with the boys, but I think you've reached the right decision. Your friendship with them is more important, and at least there is another option for you to explore. Good luck with the assisted conception! And please do stay on here!!!

Nice to see you Vix - hope you had a lovely holiday. Where did you go? Sorry about your period pains.

We're off to Florence in 10 days, can't wait!

I had a bit of a blip earlier this week - was feeling very emotional about the MC and starting the TTC journey again, but feel better by today.

Anyone fancy updating the chart?

BIG HELLO to everyone

DawnAS · 20/11/2008 10:45

Hey all,

Sorry I've not been on for so long. Trying to sort out the house mvoe at the moment and were hoping to complete next Friday (28th), but it doesn't seem likely now unfortunately. The Building Society need 7 clear working days between exchange and completion so we need to exchange today, but we haven't heard anything yet so we're not sure that it's happening...

Good news is that I'm 11 weeks today and my 12 week scan is next tuesday... the nausea has virtually gone but I'm hoping that's normal at this stage as opposed to their being a problem. I didn't really have it much anyway so I'm hoping I can celebrate the fact that it's stopped and not worry about it!

I'm a bit concerned about Summer though, she hasn't posted much this week...

MAF, sorry things seem to have taken a slight downturn, but at least you've worked out a plan and now you have something to aim for which is brilliant.

Bubbap, keep your chin up hun. After my MC I felt more determined than ever to get back on the horse (as it were...) and start TTC. Even though it didn't work the first month after, it worked the next month so just start going for it when you're ready hun.

Big waves to everyone else - hope you're all Ok!!

xxxx

FlirtyThirty · 20/11/2008 12:23

Ladies, I haven't been on for ages (sorry!!!) to see how you're all doing, but thought it was about time I came along and said hello again. How are you all feeling?

Unbelievably, I'm 18wks tomorrow (time's flying!) and as of this week, I'm beginning to look like I've eaten one too many pies I think I am just starting to feel movement too, sort of like tickling, but it's so occasional and gentle that I'm still a little undecided. I have also finally stopped being sick which is an almighty relief - definitely feeling more like my old self! So generally, things are good.

Oh, and MAF - Glad you have a new plan. Sounds very sensible to me...far better to save the friendship! Goodness...and you even get a gorgeous Euro baby too!

makingafamily · 20/11/2008 12:49

WOOHOO

Welcome back ladies, we were starting to feel a bit lonely

Dawn, im a bit worried about Summer too. Will email her

summerbird · 22/11/2008 16:54

Oh no guys i am sorry! I have had a mad awful week at work and have neglected you all - my MN TTC buddies. Sorry for worrying you all - i am a bad MNer I know what it is - i am such a gobby lass that everyone worries when i am quiet - this is true in RL too!!!

I am absolutely fine, the bleeding was a one-off and the nausea has finally disappeared. Am 12 weeks and 3 days now and finally starting to show.

Work hasnt been too good though which is why i havent posted much. The girl i work with who is TTC has been off with me, she is calming down a bit but she is so volatile that i cant cope with the stress of it. I tried to get an internal transfer but HR turned me down flat - despite me saying i was worried my health would suffer with the stress..!

Anyway i hope you are all well, and i promise not to worry you again..

Hello girlies!

Good to see a lot of the 'old' gang back on here!!!

Dawn hope all goes smoothly with your move and that you're in and settled by Christmas. Good luck for Tuesday - please let us know how it goes! Be thinking of you.

Flirty wow 18 weeks!!!! the time is flying by! Hope you and your beanie continue to do well. So exciting that you're feeling some movement. Have you got your next scan date yet??

Summer phew we were getting worried about you. Glad you're OK, but sorry to hear you're having a rough time at work. Maybe your colleague won't be as difficult once your news has sunk in with her.

BIG WAVES to all the other girls (TTCers and those with little beans).

I'm feeling a lot better after my blip last weekend... back on the TTC wagon!

baby dust to all *

summerbird · 23/11/2008 20:31

Flirty I too am excited about your flutterings, i cant wait for that, tho apparantly towards the end it feels like they are kicking the cr@p out of you!!

dawn all the best for tuesday, i am v excited for you.

DawnAS · 24/11/2008 16:18

Hello all,

Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend.

So, still no news here on the house exchange, really frustrating. The worst thing is that I'm also trying to arrange a surprise 60th birthday party for my Dad for the 6th December. We've got people coming that he hasn't seen for over 15 years so I'm really excited.

The only problem is that if we don't move this weekend, it will be the weekend of Dad's party and we're supposed to have people staying with us - what a nightmare!! So it's stressing me out somewhat!!

Anyway, we have the 12 week scan to look forward to tomorrow (although I'll actually be 11w+5d), so, silly as it seems, do you think it will still be alright to tell people about the baby after the scan, or should I wait until I really am 12 weeks on Thursday. I'm thinking that a couple of days is neither here nor there, but I do know of a few people who have actually had a MC at 12 weeks so I'm still quite nervous about it... Decisions decisions...

So, where are we in the cycle then ladies, anyone waiting to test?

I can't believe it's nearly December - I love Xmas!!!

xxx

summerbird · 24/11/2008 20:45

Dawn it is entirely up to you, you tell people when you are ready to.

All i will say is that anything can happen at any time, i knew someone who sadly had a MC at 16 weeks. A friend of a friend told people when she was 20 weeks, as you know i told people straight away and couldnt have waited that long. It is all down to personal choice. Do it when you are ready hun.

I am hyper excited about Xmas (and December) too - bring on Monday!!

Good luck with the scan tomorrow Dawn x

MichaelaS · 25/11/2008 14:36

Hello all! long time no see! I've been off here since I got AF last month, trying to get some perspective and all that.

But I failed to relax and have bought a super dooper clearblue ov monitor thing (even more sticks to wee on!) and I appear to be ovulating today - hooray! Actually the machine said I was ovulating yesterday too - it has 3 levels which I'm calling low, high and egg!

So here we go on cycle 6, CD20, DPO1. BD on CD18 so am hoping to get DP in a good mood tonight too, iykwim

soooo good to see so many pregnant ladies on here. sorry to hear about the non-agreement makingafamily but as you say it's better to keep the friendship and try other ways. good luck with the funding.

So, where are the rest of you?

DawnAS · 25/11/2008 15:45

Hello all,

Hope everyone is feeling Ok.

Well little Jellybean is doing really well. The scan has dated him as 11w 6d so a day earlier than expected from the last scan.

The scan was brilliant. We could see everything! Well nearly... The sonographer pointed out the nose, the eyes, the mouth, the waving hands, the kicking legs. It was amazing how much we could see. The sonographer was really impressed and said that the baby was very co-operative and kept moving into lovely positions. It was a lively little thing.

Had the Nuchal scan too and from the scan, the baby is in low risk category for Downs, but they have to combine it with the blood test aswell. If I end up being high-risk, I will get a call within 2 days, if it's low risk, we'll get a letter within a week, so just praying that we don't get a call from the hospital now...

We decided to go mad and tell people today so it's only my Dad who doesn't know yet because I haven't been able to get hold of him...

Hope everyone else is Ok.

Keep your chin up Vix.

xx

BubbaP · 25/11/2008 20:33

Big hellos to summerbird and MAF and all the other lovely girlies!!

makingafamily · 25/11/2008 23:32

Hey all

Sorry, have been a bit quiet.

Work has been more mad than usual in the last 3 weeks. Part of my job is that i am an Education Child Protection Consultant within London and consultations have just gone nuts (anyone thats seen the news can guess why) The whole Baby P case has hit me more than it should have done.

But, wanted to let you know that although i dont know you in person, i think the world of your journeys

Dawn Good luck with the move, I know how stressful it can be. But seeing DawnBean must have been amazing. So happy for you and DH

Summer good to see you back, have got your email, you jet setter you! And will message you back hun

flirty that?s amazing that you can feel your bub

Fairy sounds like you have nailed the bd?ing days so everything crossed for you

Vix Fingers crossed for you. I?m off down the medicated IUI route so might be asking your advice soon about clomid, if you don?t mind?

MichaelaS Welcome back and thanks, we are getting back n track

BubbaP Waves and waves and waves

fairywing · 26/11/2008 08:33

Well girls heres to holding each others hands on the 2ww. Dawn how exciting, it must have been lovely to tell everyone at last - i can't wait for that.

saz007 · 26/11/2008 10:48

Hi ladies,

Sorry I havent posted in a while, I've been away with DH and then work has been mental since I got back.

Good news about the scan Dawn it's such a relief to see the little guy wriggling away isnt it?

I have my blood test for Downs on Monday and my 20 week scan on the 22nd Dec - how soon is that????? That's halfway I have a MW appt inbetween so I'm going to be busy in the run-up to Chrimbo....it'll be hard to find time to shop

It's my b'day on Sunday so I try not to get too Christmassy until after then, but I love this time of year.....if only it were warmer

I told my old boss my news before I went away as I was scared of telling my new boss over the phone (I've never met the guy face-to-face and only spoken to him a few times since I started my new role) My old boss was so happy for me, she actually squeaked!!!
I did pluck up the courage to tell my new boss on Monday, I was more nervous telling him than I was telling my dad but it all went fine and he is happy for me too - phew and hurray!!! I still havent told that many ppl at work yet, I don't like being the centre of attention and am not sure how to handle all the congratulations

Big hellos and waves all round to everyone else and good luck to those on the 2ww....surely it's time for another BFP???

summerbird · 26/11/2008 20:44

vix sorry you are feeling blue, but please try to be positive, you never know once you have finished clomid, you could get that magic BFP - fingers crossed

michaela you made me PMSL with your super dooper organisational post - YOU GO GIRL!!!

dawn whoop whoop i am doing a little DawnJellyBean dance around our tiny box room! I am v jealous as my bean was fast asleep when we had our scan!! (how rude)

Big waves to bubba how you doing lady? You sound like you are in a super wavy davy mood!

MAF weird as i was thinking of you with the current news situation, it must be so hard for you guys, and you have my respect. I work for the GMC and we are getting a bashing in the press about the Dr in the case, all i can say is the media are doing so much damage to our professions as they are whipping the public into a frenzy. Its crazy. Anyway hun i hope you are ok, how are you getting on with your little EuroBabba?

fairywing have you worn your DH out yet??!! another YOU GO GIRL to you too!

Saz your 20 week scan is only a month before mine, i have mine on 13th Jan. It creeps up doesnt it? Well done on telling your boss, mine is a wee bit scary too but he was fine

flirty lets have a contest to see who has eaten the most pies!!! someone (who knew i am PG) asked me the other day if i had eaten too many Mars Bars...!

A big hello to anyone i have missed - and baby dust for all of us

OP posts:
heverhoney1 · 26/11/2008 21:32

SAZ I am very at you getting to see bub on the 22'nd I dont get my next scan till I am 22 weeks on New Years Eve- which is kind of nice really as it is DP and my anniversary. Midwife did listen to the heartbeat today though so I am reassured that the buba is indeed still there. apparently it kicked so hard midwife was amazed I couldn't feel anything - I still feel nada!!!

Dawn Thats lovely news I couldnt be more pleased for you!

MAF sounds prettty stressful all round things like that have such a wide ranging impact! it affects people you wouldnt even consider. It must be very hard for you.

All 2WWers Thinking of you all and hoping this month produces loads of BFPs all round

Crunchy if you are lurking please dont feel down or give up it sounds to me like you are well on your way into full blown action girlie!!

Hi to everyone else I missed out. Love you all - think I would have been in an asylum without you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

crunchynutter · 26/11/2008 22:59

girls!! I am back again!! Missed you -dawn Im so happy for you and your little lively bean. I can't believe how far people have come since you started this thread.

I'm sorry I came back then disappeared again had a really tough week. My 2day spotting went away so I was I little confused then my horse collapsed and we were up there at midnight with emergency vets etc. (she seems well now so I won't bore you with it!) we've had loads of crap at work and the bleeding has come back! More like a proper AF now though, not exactly heavy but (sorry if TMI) there is actuAlly the need to wear a towell! But obviously I've been really tired cos of my poor little pony! I've been getting lots of 'low down' cramps and my boobs are killing me so I guess it must be good (although it doesn't feel very good LOL)

I will do my best to stay with you guys now though! It's lovely to hear how well things are going for some of you and how optimistic others are! PMA- that's what it's all about! Xx

summerbird · 27/11/2008 09:23
