Hey all,

Feeling really low today as found some blood when I went to the toilet first thing.

I'm 8w+1d today and fearing the worst. The blood is pinky mixed in with CM and OK blood is supposed to be brown, although saying that mine was brown last time with the MC.

I'm going to try and get hold of the Doc this morning and see if they can get me into the EPU today.

Here we go again....

saz007 · 30/10/2008 08:36

Oh Dawn I have all my fingers and toes crossed that everything is ok for you.
Sending tons of hugs flying your way.
I really hope they can see you today to put your mind at rest

Oh Dawn I hope everything is OK. Let us know how it goes. I will be praying for you.

wildfig · 30/10/2008 08:53

Oh, Dawn, hoping it's nothing to worry about & that the EPU has an early space for you. Sending lots of hugs. xxx

heverhoney1 · 30/10/2008 09:15

(((((((((((Dawn))))))))))) I know its really hard but try not to worry too much. I had some pinky spotting too at around that time. Although terrifying apparently it is very common. It could be many things other than the worst! left over implantation stuff, a cervix errosion caused by the increase in hormones, I like to think mine was bub just digging in deeper.

It could be the worst, but it may well not be. Either way I am thinking of you and hoping a scan can put your mind at rest.

summerbird · 30/10/2008 09:32

Dawn i havent had a chance to respond to your mail yet but i shall do at lunchtime.

In the meantime hun you take extra care of yourself, i am keeping my fingers crossed that heverhoney is right and it is as common as we hope. It could be the likkle bean settling him/herself in.

Extra hugs coming your way xx

Hi all,

The midwife just called and they can't get me in for a scan until tomorrow, so they've made me an appointment for 10.30 in the morning.

She did say though that pinky CM is very very common at this stage and is generally nothing to worry about. She thought that I was actually bleeding when I left the message which is why they booked me in for tomorrow, so she said to tell them that I was spotting when I go in tomorrow... It sounds like it is more common than I think then if normally they wouldn't book you in for just that...

Hever, thanks so much hun for your post. It has made me feel so much better to know that you've been through it and all was Ok.

Summer, as always thanks for your support hun. I'm not having any pain at all so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Haven't had any more CM since 7am this morning either so not sure whether there's still colouring or not...

Thanks all for your support, I'm going downstairs now to cuddle up with my doggy and watch True Movies so I can have a good cry!!

xxx

heverhoney1 · 30/10/2008 10:26

ah dawn that sounds like it was good news. I hope your scan tomorrow goes well. If - WHEN!! they find a heartbeat at 8 weeks it means your chances of MC are nearly down to the 12 week scan rate. So this could be a good thing and will eventually help put your mind at a bit of rest for a little while xxxxx

makingafamily · 30/10/2008 11:30

Hi Dawn

I have everything crossed for you and beany tomorrow. As the girls have said from what your midwife said it sounds like its fairly common so as easy as it is for me to say try not to worry and enjoy cuddles with doggy

Ladies i know i posted my email addy before so anyone who's got it feel free to email me as cant really post on here from work but do check my hotmail.

For all of you with pets, how do you plan to cope with pets and baby?

wishinanhopin · 30/10/2008 12:26

thinking of you! One of my girlfriend's JUST went through this a few months ago, she rushed to the emergency room, crying after she found pinkish blood . She had 2 miscarraiages prior to this pregnancy and was really on edge. Turned out all was well, she just had a healthy baby boy 2 weeks ago!!!!So keep your thoughts positive.

I'm on the 2week wait, tick tock tick tock.....clomid hot flashes driving me MAD. I'm up all night striping down to nothing then bundling up and then striping off again. DH thinks I've lost it. LOL

Lots of love and baydust to all

makingafamily · 30/10/2008 12:29

Sounds like it will be ok though - that spotting is common and you're not bleeding lots. Snuggly bub I say.

Please let us know as soon as you can, we're all really worried about you.

wishinanhopin · 30/10/2008 13:57

making are you on clomid too??
I haven't been temping, I drove myself mad with that in the past. So I went by the clomid calculator, and keep my fingers crossed. babymed.com/tools/fertility/clomid/Default.aspx
so going by that my estimated ov days were between 25-30th.
So I've got a 2 week wait ahead I'd say.

Are you having hot flashes like mad?

heverhoney1 · 31/10/2008 09:37

Am a ver happy honey this morning my friend got us TAKETHAT tickets!!! for 2 months after my due date so planning a big night out already whoop whoop!!!

saz007 · 31/10/2008 10:29

Cool! hever you lucky lady!!

Dawn I hope everying's ok with the scan today, I'm sure it's just your little guy getting comfy

Well I'm excited as I'm going to see the legend that is James Bond tonight....can't wait!!!!

I have my scan on Monday...eek, I can't believe it's come round so quickly. I'm excited to see if there's anything in there but also nervous in case I've imagined the whole thing! I'm even thinking of doing another test over the weekend just to see if it still comes up positive

If it's fine, we will be telling DH's parents (I wont be seeing my dad till the weekend so I'll tell him then as I'd rather tell him to his face than over the phone - I'm really nervous about telling my daddy actually! I'm silly I know

I was wondering whether any of you will be getting a gift to announce your news to your parents? I've been looking for Gramdma and Grandad mugs, but am struggling to find any. I think I may have to get a photo frame or boasting book and put the scan pic in there

heverhoney1 · 31/10/2008 11:03

I told my parents as soon as I found out. It was 3 days after my mums birthday so I settled for a belated "Happy Birthday Grandma" card and waited for it to sink in. It was 8 am on a sat so it took a while!!!

Will be thinking of you on mon Saz - it is sooooo exciting and SUCH a relief!!!!

Dawn - Thinking of you too xxxx

DawnoftheDead · 31/10/2008 12:52

Hello all,

Well, just got back from the EPU and there was definitely a little Jellybean in there (that's what the scan lady called it...) with a definite heartbeat!!!

I was so scared and nervous before I went in but it was brilliant. I haven't really had any symptoms and no MS at all, yet there was the little JB (we've decided to name it for Jellybean!) in all it's glory. Not only that, but I'd been using Fertility Friend to help on TTC for this one and FF put our EDD as 11th June. Well the scan also put it at EXACTLY 11th June!! So it's the exact size it should be aswell.

There was absolutely no sign of a bean and she said that the yolk sac was very clear and the whole sac that the baby was in looked very complete and very strong and there was definitely no bleed from there. So they've just put it down to it being the time that AF was due and I haven't had any more pink CM since yesterday morning. All in all, we're absolutely thrilled.

Also have the date for our 12 week scan - 25th November.

On the way back we popped into Lidls and bought loads of naughty food to eat, chocolate cakes, sweets, you name it, we bought it.

So I'm very happy now and looking forward to our virtual party tonight!! JB will be there too!!

xxxx

PS: Sorry - me me me - hope everyone else is Ok today!!

summerbird · 31/10/2008 12:52

DawnoftheDead · 31/10/2008 12:53

More haste less speed - "no sign of a BLEED"... DOH.....

makingafamily · 31/10/2008 13:16

Dawn thats brilliant news. Was thinkin of you at 10.30 this morning.

Wishin i'm not on clomid but if nothings happened in a few months will think about chasing up the referral to the fertility clinic. Hope those hot flush's are coolin down a bit. Am here as your fellow 2ww buddy though. I'm gonna try and wait til next saturday to test if AF hasn't shown up as have a short LP of 10 maybe 11 days and saturday will make me 12 days DPO
No symptoms at all at the moment though!

Happy halloween ladies x
